Jason & Sam #14  November 30, 2006 - January 31 ,2007 - 8 hours

DVD #14A  Jason gets antsy sitting around Elizabeth's studio and wants to go and find Spinelli before Alcazar kills him since he is Sam's only hope to prove she was set up. Sonny and Stan show up at the studio and set up the surveillance equipment to listen in on Alcazar's phone conversation. They overhear Alcazar mention a girl and how his men must kill the girl and Spinelli and make it look like an accident. Sonny tries to stop Jason from going after Spinelli and tells him to let him handle finding Spinelli. Later, while en route to Venezuela, Alcazar calls his men and orders them to kill Spinelli and Lulu and make it look like an accident by getting them drunk and putting them in Lulu's car and driving it off a cliff. Alcazar's men come back into the warehouse and order Lulu to drink the bottle of Tequila. Lulu refuses to drink the bottle of Tequila. They point a gun to Spinelli's head and warn her that if she doesn't drink the Tequila they will shoot Spinelli right in front of her. She tells them she doesn't even know Spinelli. They call her bluff by cocking a gun and get ready to shoot Spinelli. Lulu can't let them do that and agrees to drink the Tequila. Later, Spinelli and Lulu start to get drunk on the bottle of Tequila and wonder about what Alcazar's men are going to do to them. Lulu tells Spinelli about her mother's condition and about her father's lifestyle and how he would love this kind of action in his life.

Elizabeth buys a travel book on Italy as a way to keep Jason's mind busy while Sonny looks for Spinelli. Sonny goes home and finds Peter Marquez there waiting for him. He asks to speak to Sonny who tries to brush him off. Peter tells Sonny about his connection to Spinelli and how he got a text message on his cell-phone and how he put it inside a textbook and handed it to one of his students after Alcazar's men came to talk to him. He tells Sonny it was Lulu he gave the book to and that he is worried about her because she suddenly disappeared. Sonny suspects Lulu is the unknown girl with Spinelli. Jason gets a call on his cell-phone from some associate who tells him that he heard a young woman calling for help outside of one of Alcazar's warehouses and thought Jason would want to know about it. Jason gets his gun and pockets it and tells Elizabeth he is going to find Spinelli before Alcazar kills him.

Later, Lulu and Spinelli hear someone near the door trying to unlock it. They assume it is Alcazar's men coming in to kill them. Lulu grabs the empty bottle of Tequila to use as a weapon and waits behind the door. She tells Spinelli to watch the door and let her know when they are inside so she can surprise them. Someone comes inside and Lulu hits the person over the head with the bottle just as Spinelli realizes that it is Jason not Alcazar's men. Lulu realizes she just knocked Jason out cold. Jason starts to come to and asks what happened. Lulu apologizes to him for hitting him because she thought it was one of Alcazar's men. Jason ignores her apology and asks what is going on. Spinelli grabs Jason's gun from his pocket and takes off without them. Lulu helps him up and they are about to leave when they are stopped by Alcazar's men who hold them at gunpoint.

Ric tells the judge that he doesn't think Sam would flee because she is needed by Alexis to stick around and help with her young daughters. The judge refuses to allow Sam to be released on her own. Alexis speaks up and asks that Sam be released under her supervision. The judge approves it. Later, Sam asks Alexis why she was willing to stand up and agree to supervise her release? Alexis tells her that she doesn't think Sam would jeopardize her release by going out to find Jason because that is what Ric wants her to do and that is why he agreed to bail. Sam tells her she has no plans on leaving town or chasing after Jason. Alexis talks to Ric later at the police station. She asks him what has happened to him and wonders if he just suddenly snapped one day or if he has always been this way and she didn't know it. Sam heads to the hospital later and steals some scrubs from one of the lockers and tries to elude Ric's spies so he won't be able to follow her. She shows up at Elizabeth's studio to see Jason. Elizabeth informs her that Jason took off to find Spinelli after he got a lead on where he was. Elizabeth voices her concerns about Jason's safety and tells Sam that he already popped one of his stitches in his leg because he can't lay low and get better. Sam notices how concerned Elizabeth is for Jason and is alarmed by the Elizabeth's feelings.

Sam asked Elizabeth how long Jason has been gone? Liz told her not that long. Sam starts to panic and was rambling what if he starts bleeding? What if his wound reopened again? Liz was not too happy with her and informed her that Jason was determined to exonerate her and she is going to have to trust that he won't push his limits. Sam told her not to explain Jason to her. Just because she saved Jason's life didn't mean that they share a big deep connection, it was what she did for a living. Liz told Sam that she and Jason had that before she came in the picture. Sam asked if they shared that before Liz showed up at his doorstep for meaningless sex that night. Liz told her no, she doesn't get to decide what that night meant for her and Jason, especially given what she was doing at the time. Liz told Sam that she shares a long history with Jason whether Sam liked it or not and she cares about him and it concerns her that he is always putting his life on the line to save her from her own bad judgment. Sam told her that Ric framed her. He set her up to get to Jason. Liz ask her if she knew that why didn't she set in jail a few more days to give Jason a chance to prove that she had been framed instead of escaping and making them both targets. Liz told Sam she knows how dangerous Ric is..Sam interrupted her and told her at least she didn't marry him. Liz told her she never said she didn't make mistakes; she just doesn't expect Jason to risk his life to clean them up. Sam told Liz that she just wanted to be a part of his life which is beyond pathetic since she is pregnant by Lucky who also happens to be her husband. Liz told her that she wouldn't have to be here right now if Sam wasn't so incredibly selfish. Sam told her she doesn't get to make that judgment call. Liz told her that she puts herself in danger so that Jason has to come after her to prove that he still loves her even though you betrayed him.

Liz calls Sonny and told him that Jason got a report of a woman screaming and Jason went after the lead and she hasn't heard from him since. Sonny asked if she knew where and she told him Warehouse 22. After Liz hung up with Sonny, Sam started to leave and Liz stopped her and told her she can't go after Jason. Sam told her it wasn't her call. Liz told Sam that it would be really stupid of her to go after Jason. Ric is waiting for her to lead him to Jason. Sam told her that Jason was in trouble and she is not going to let him walk into danger alone. Liz told her to call Ric and have him go with her because she can promise her that Ric is following her, even in stolen scrubs. Sam told her that she knows how to dodge a tail and Jason needs her. As she opens the door, Lucky is starting to knock on it. He told her that he was really hoping she wouldn't be there. Sam told him he had no right to follow her there. He told her that he wasn't following her; he came here to see Elizabeth. He wanted to know why Sam was wearing scrubs? She said it was a disguise because she didn't want to be followed when she came to see Jason. She turned to Elizabeth and asked her if she was helping Jason? Elizabeth looked shocked. Sam told her that Ric obviously thinks Jason is alive or he wouldn't have let her out on bail, and he was probably injured and he came to Liz for help. She demanded to know where she is keeping him. Sam says that maybe it was okay to say something in front of Lucky, maybe he would look the other way just this once. Lucky told Sam that Elizabeth doesn't know where he is, that she wouldn't risk their child to help Jason. Sam apologized and said she was scared because she doesn't know where he is or if he is okay. Elizabeth told her that she understood and Sam left. Lucky told Elizabeth that he was really following Sam.

Sam went to Warehouse 22, but everyone was gone. Cruz was there looking around though. He told her they had a report about some people being held prisoner. He asked her what she was doing there. He told her it was a good thing she wasn't looking for Jason because the cops are following her. Alcazar's men find Jason with Lulu. They searched Jason and didn't find a gun. They wanted to know where Spinelli went. With slurred speech from the Tequila they made her drink, she told them that he went to the police. Jason said he was running scared. They said that they weren't going to take any chances and told them they were both going to disappear tonight. Jason was setting on the ground with his hands tied behind him and Lulu is trying to free him, but said it was harder that it seemed. Jason told her that it didn't make it easy with her being drunk. She told him that she had to drink or they would shoot Spinelli. Jason asked if that is what they told her. She said at first they gave them a bottle and they decided to drink it so they wouldn't be so scared and maybe it wouldn't hurt so much, but then they were rude and she couldn't let them shoot Spinelli's brains out. She said that if she ever gets out of here she will never ever drink Tequila again. Her speech was slurring the whole time. She decided she needed something sharp and starts to look around. Jason told her she didn't need anything sharp. She goes rambling on and she didn't know Spinelli other than he was some kid that wondered around the English department. She started talking about her mom and Jason was loosing patients and told her to focus. He told her that she was only going to have one shot and when they come back that he was going to create a distraction and she needs to be faster this time and run out of the warehouse and straight to the cops.

Alcazar's men came in and ordered Jason to stand up. Lulu told him he was hurt. They told him to stand up or they will shoot the girl. Jason told them that Alcazar doesn't want forensic evidence on his property to connect him to Lulu. They told him they would wipe the place down, get on his feet. Lulu tells him to do what they say because she doesn't want to be forensic evidence and she helps him up as one of the men start to grab him also and a fight breaks out. Lulu started to leave, but then turned back to save Jason by fighting the men also. Jason fought two of them and the third guy grabbed Lulu. Jason got a gun from one of the other men and told him to drop it. He turned and shot at Jason, but he ducked and Jason shot him, Lulu grabbed his gun and started whirling around just as Sonny, Max, and Milo walked in and Jason had to grab Lulu as he kept telling her not to shoot. Lulu told Sonny that Jason almost got her killed. Jason asked her what she was thinking. She told him that he could at least say thank you. Milo asked Lulu for the gun and she was swinging it around. Jason took it from her and gave it to Milo. Milo stares at Lulu (he likes her).

Sonny asked Lulu if she had any idea where Spinelli would go? She said she did. They are driving in the car and Lulu is so drunk and not remembering where Spinelli said he was going to go. Jason drills her for the name of the town and she went on that it was oak, elm, field; he was going to his grandma's. They passed her road and she wanted to know why she wasn't going home. Sonny told her not yet. She finally remembered the name of Oakfield, Tennessee. Jason told them to take them to pick up a car because he and Lulu were going to Oakfield. She told him that she wasn't going anywhere with him. Lulu has runs off from Sonny's (where he had taken her to protect her). Alcazar soon finds her and he tries to deny that he was going to have her killed. Sonny shows up and there is a standoff between Sonny and Alcazar, who is holding Lulu at gunpoint. Sonny convinced Alcazar that there would be no way to kill the four of them, and clean up before the police came. Alcazar took the opportunity to leave the area with his men. Max and Milo prepared Lulu for the trip to Tennessee. She was touched that Milo packed her a lunch but Max accused Lulu of working over an impressionable Milo. When Max denied her request to have Milo drive, she locked herself in the car and insisted that since Jason's injured, she will drive.

Jason goes to see Carly at the Metro Court and asks for her help so he can say goodbye to Sam. Carly calls Sam and invites her over for a drink and then slips her the room key to the room where Jason is hiding. Jason and Sam share a brief reunion and Jason explains that he is going to Tennessee to find Spinelli. Sam is upset that he is going off to risk his life again. Ric bursts into the Metro Court with the police in tow with a search warrant allowing him to search the hotel for Sam in the hopes she will lead him to Jason. Carly and Jax try to distract him but eventually his search leads him to the room where Sam and Jason are. Ric has the door broken down and he finds Sam innocently relaxing on the couch. When Ric barged into Sam's room in the Metrocourt he expected to find Jason. When he did not find him, he let Sam know that he was going to call the judge and let him know that she had gone against the terms of her bail. After he left, Carly and Jax tried to get Sam to understand that running after Jason would lead Ric and the police to him, and cause more problems. As they were talking, Carly received a phone call from Sonny asking her to meet him at his place. After she left, Sam commented on how difficult it must be for Jax to stand aside when it came to Carly and Sonny. Jax let her know that he trusted Carly 100% and would rather be involved with whatever was going on, then to be kept in the dark.

At Metro Court, Alexis came to the room and wondered why Sam would take a chance and disobey the terms of her bail. Jax tried to get Alexis to understand that Sam would always choose Jason over anyone else, and that was something she should accept. He left the mother and daughter alone to talk, and Sam let Alexis know that he was right. She let her mother know that she would do whatever Jason asked her to do because she trusted him with her life and that if Alexis had a problem with this, she needed to know this right now. At that time, Ric came to the door, and let Sam know that he was taking her back to jail, for going against the terms of her bail by staying at the Metro Court. Alexis covered for her daughter and told Ric that she had asked Sam to stay there because it had made Kristina upset.

At the lake house, Alexis was agitated when Sam showed up with Lainey for a session. As Alexis huffed, Lainey suggested that she put aside her grudge against Sam. When the therapeutic tea party idea didn't work, Alexis blamed it on Sam's presence upsetting Kristina but Lainey said Alexis is the bigger problem. She pointed out that after turning out Sam and Ric, Kristina blames her mother for breaking up their family. Later, Sam came back with Jax, Michael and Morgan, all wearing wigs and Kristina did smile a bit. Alexis gets a big kick out Jax, Sam, Michael, and Morgan when they come in wearing wigs to make her laugh. Kristina watches them and manages to smile. They put a wig on her and she lets them and seems to enjoy it for awhile but soon after she is back to being non-responsive. Jax leaves with the boys. Sam offers to drive Alexis to the hospital to be admitted again for her next round of chemotherapy. Alexis accepts her offer reluctantly. Sam promises that she is not planning to chase after Jason this time. Alexis is admitted into a room at GH. Sam hovers by her and tells her that she can get another lawyer if defending her is too much for her. Alexis refuses to let what Robin told her upset her and insists on defending Sam as her attorney. Sam mentions what Robin said to them. Alexis tells her she doesn't know Robin well enough but that she reminds her of herself when she was that age, so focused on work and trying to separate her personal and professional lives and not realizing yet that you can't do that. Sam tries to stick around and wait on Alexis. Alexis asks her to just go home and let her be alone for awhile. Sam leaves and comes back. She is about to go back in her room when she sees Alexis crying and decides not to go in.

Jason gets ready to drive Lulu and himself to Tennessee to find Spinelli. He asks Max to hand him the car keys. Max tells him he can't give him the keys. Jason thinks he doesn't want to give him the keys because of his leg injury. Max tells him that he can't give him the car keys because Lulu has them. Jason approaches the car and tells Lulu to hand over the car keys. She refuses to but Jason insists. She ends up hitting him with the car door and it hits his bad leg. Jason gets behind the wheel of the car. Lulu asks him why she couldn't have driven the car for awhile? Jason tells her no and she then notices his leg is bleeding. They end up stopping at some motel for the night. The motel manager happens to be a young woman who is holding her baby on one hip. Jason gives the woman a big tip after she shows them their room. The woman tells them that she loves the job because she can bring her baby to work at night and not have to pay for a babysitter. Lulu is offended by this and tells the woman off for keeping her baby up all night so she can work some job. Jason wonders what Lulu's problem is and apologizes to the woman for Lulu's behavior. After the woman leaves, Jason tells Lulu off for being too harsh to the woman just because she is making sacrifices for her baby. Lulu thinks there is something wrong with a woman who would keep her baby up all night while she works. Jason tells her that some women would do anything to have a baby and make sacrifices for their babies. Lulu goes off on Jason and tells him he doesn't know what he is talking about because he is man and has never had a baby growing inside him and had to choose whether to have a that baby or not and not being ready to be a parent. Lulu starts crying and Jason feels clueless about how to help her.

At the cheap motel, after Lulu's outburst over her abortion, Jason needed to take some aspirin. Lulu calmed down. She wondered aloud if her revelation to Laura affected her limited recovery. Jason advised Lulu not to drive herself crazy with "What If's." Jason said he has his share of regrets, too. He opened up about his regret over breaking up with Sam for her own safety and all the grief that decision entailed. Later, the duo decided to hit the road. They bumped into the hotel clerk with her baby and Lulu apologized for her earlier snippy behavior. Jason smiled and offered Lulu the car keys to drive. On the road, Lulu got pulled over for speeding. Lulu is frantic when she and Jason get pulled over for speeding on the way to Spinelli's grandmother's house. Jason urges her to calm down and she is relieved when she realizes Jason has a fake ID. Things got tense as the cop demanded identification. The police officer lets them go with a strict warning for Lulu. Later as Lulu and Jason are talking, Lulu reveals more important information that eventually leads them to Spinelli's grandmother. When they get there Jason tells Lulu to stay in the car and goes off to check everything out. Of course, Lulu doesn't listen and she ends up talking to Spinelli's grandmother. Somehow Spinelli's grandmother gets the idea that Lulu is pregnant and that is why she is looking for Spinelli. Lulu and Jason (who is pretending to be Lulu's brother) play along to get into the house. Spinelli's grandmother goes on and on about how Lulu is such a good person because most girls in her situation would just have an abortion. Lulu reassures Jason she can handle Spinelli's grandmother and she tries to play along.

At Spinelli's grandmother's house, Spinelli's grandmother told Lulu how happy she was that Lulu was taking responsibility for her pregnancy and that she felt that she was ready to take responsibility. Jason advised Lulu that she did not have to go along with the charade, but Lulu was willing to continue the ruse. While they were talking, Spinelli saw them inside, and was bout to try and get away when Jason spotted him. Ric pays Alcazar a visit and they agree that what they both want is for Jason and Sam to be gone. Alcazar expressed his concern that it would look incrementing if they were to "disappear," to which Ric replied that he would make sure that it was known that they had died escaping police custody. Lorenzo gets a call telling him where Spinelli is hiding out, he tells Ric that if Jason isn't already there that he will be soon. Spinelli was unwilling to leave with Jason and Lulu until Alcazar's men caught up to them. They managed to escape and headed back to Port Charles. Alcazar got a phone call from him men informing him that Jason had gotten away. Alcazar decides to stop chasing Jason, because he knew that they would be coming back to Port Charles and could cause problems for Ric (who has been a bit of a pain to Lorenzo).

Carly arrives at the Metro Court and meets up wtih Jason, he is hiding out there with Lulu and Spinelli. Spinelli cracks about how babelicious Port Charles has become. He asks Carly to watch over Lulu as he and Spinelli plan to turn themselves in. Carly asks if Jason is sure that he wants to put his future in Spinelli's hands? Jason tells her it is the only way to prove that Ric set Sam up, and Carly agrees to help. Jason asks if Carly has seen Sam? She says yes, that Sam is freaked out but she is okay. Spinelli tries to get Carly to call Sam over (as he obviously wants to see her). Jason takes Spinelli to Sonny's, he tells Jason that he has arranged for Lucky and Rodriguez to meet them on the pier.

Spinelli expresses concern to Jason about his grandmother's safety. Jason reassures him that she will be safe, as Lucky and Rodriguez arrive. They arrest Jason and Spinelli, and bring them to the station. At the station, Diane is introduced as an attorney hired by Sonny to represent Jason. Spinelli tells Mac that he is the one that created the flash drive, and proceeds to demonstrate how it was done. When questioned, he admits it was Lorenzo who asked him to set it up. Ric gets a call from Mac, who updates him on the situation with Jason and Spinelli. Ric goes to his office in search of the flash drive, and panics when he sees it is not in its proper place.

Jason stands next to his new attorney while Mac and Lucky wait for the flash drive to arrive from Ric's office. Ric can't find the flash drive in his locked cabinet and panics. Lorenzo arrives and shows Ric that he has the flash drive in his possession and that Lorenzo will be keeping it as a safe-guard against anything Ric tries to do against him. Ric tells him that he should have killed Jason and Spinelli before Spinelli tells the cops that he hired him to make up the phony information. Lorenzo doesn't seem to care anymore what Spinelli may do because there is no flash drive in police possession to use against anyone. Ric storms off and goes back to police headquarters. He accuses Jason of stealing the flash drive but there is no evidence that Jason stole it and his attorney informs Ric that he has no case against Jason or Sam anymore without the flash drive. Ric has no alternative but to drop the charges against Jason and Sam. Mac tells Jason off for endangering people's lives as well as some of his men at the hospital when he tried to help Sam escape police custody and taking Epiphany hostage. Jason's attorney reminds Mac that Epiphany never pressed charges and Mac tells her that it is because Epiphany's son works for Jason. Mac also looks at Ric with disdain because of the missing flash drive and his corruptive behavior.

Spinelli creates a diversion so Lulu can sneak off without being seen by Lucky or anyone. Spinelli is greatly pleased when there are no charges brought against him either. Later, Detective Rodriguez tells Lucky that Mac wants to see him. Rodriguez asks Jason to stay away from Elizabeth and that even though he knows about Jason and Elizabeth's night together, he doesn't want Lucky to find out because it could cause him to go back to taking pills again. Lucky returns to his desk and asks them why they mentioned Elizabeth's name? Jason doesn't end up having to answer him really because something comes up. Jason heads over to Sonny's place to talk to him and let him know about the missing flash drive and how the charges were dropped. Sonny warns Jason to watch his back concerning Ric since he was just humiliated by him and his attorney when he dropped the charges. Sonny tells him about his dinner with Carly and how he tried to convince her that Jax was not the man for her. Jason tells him that he doesn't like Jax either but thinks he really loves Carly and would be good to her. Sonny doesn't know what to do but feels like Mike may have been right when he told him that he should never have divorced Carly and now it may be too late for them. Sonny asks Jason if he could have forgiven Sam if she had kept the fact that he was a father from him? Jason thinks he could eventually forgive her if that happened but he doesn't know. Sonny tells Jason that he plans to go to the island during the holidays so that he isn't around when Carly marries Jax. Sonny advises Jason not to put off what he needs to do in his heart. Jason calls Sam and tells her he wants to see her and to meet him at his place.

Sam is thrilled to see Jason arrive at the lakehouse and runs into his arms. Jason explained to Alexis and Sam that the charges against him had been dropped. Sam chose to continue with Alexis as her lawyer instead of Sonny's new legal eagle. "It's nice to be home," Sam beamed when she returned to Jason's penthouse, but she wondered if they could put their nights with Elizabeth and Ric behind them. Jason believed they could move forward with their relationship and they kissed. Sam immediately wanted to go upstairs. "Tonight is the night we're going to try to make a baby," she claimed. Sam and Jason discuss the idea of having a baby. Jason tells Sam he isn't sure that he is ready to bring a child into his dangerous life. Alexis calls Sam to come over and talk to Kristina because she is upset about seeing Alexis and Ric fight. Sam is able to reassure Kristina that it is okay for Alexis and Ric to fight and that it doesn't mean that they don't love her.

Jason pays Elizabeth a visit at General Hospital. He asks her if she thinks that he would have been a good father if he had been the baby's father. Elizabeth reassures him that he would be a wonderful father and that a child would be lucky to have him in their life. Back at the penthouse, Jason and Sam again resume their conversation about having a baby. Sam is shaken by her visit with Kristina but she tells Jason that she feels that if they had a baby they would not destroy their family like Ric and Alexis have. Sam agrees to wait to try having a baby until Jason is ready to be a father. Lulu comes to Jason and Sam and asks if Spinelli can live with them temporarily? Jason doesn't want to allow him to stay, but Sam convinces him that they owe him for helping her out. Lulu suggests a room that Sam says is "the baby's room". Spinelli immediately starts interfering and tells Jason that Sam can't have a baby because she's too hot and it would ruin her hotness. He doesn't want her to ruin her body with motherhood. Later, he goes upstairs to his room and jams out to some loud music. Jason is annoyed, but Sam tells him to make the best of it.

At Sam's pre-trial, Alexis became weak from her treatment and requested to be released from the case. Ric motioned to drop the charges, alleging that Sam killed Diego in self-defense. The judge dismissed the case. Sam brought a very weak Alexis home. She thanked Alexis for representing her. Alexis acknowledged that she did not want Sam in jail, but cannot forget what happened between Sam and Ric. Sam left, but reminds Alexis that she cannot do this alone. Jason was frustrated with Spinelli, and caught him smoking pot at the penthouse. He told him that this is not allowed in his house. Sam asked Jason for the drugs, in order to help "someone".

Jason is questioned about planting drugs in Lucky's drawer at work, but then he begins to suspect that Lucky was set up by Ric. When Elizabeth comes to see him later, he tells her so. Sam takes Spinelli to go see her mom. Alexis is in terrible pain and can't keep anything down. She tells Spinelli that she isn't up for company. He tells the "goddess mother" that he has come to bring her some medicinal comfort and brings out a bag of pot. Alexis is horrified. She is an officer of the court and even for medical reasons, pot is illegal in NY. When the pain and nausea get too bad, though, she decides to go ahead and try it. She claims that it isn't working, but strangely has a craving for potato chips. Then she tells Spinelli that she likes his beanie hat, and he offers it to her. He starts to call her Mrs. Lansing, but she tells him that she prefers "goddess mother".

Jason and Sam brought home a tree to decorate. She thanked him for sending Spinelli to Tennessee to spend the holiday with his grandmother. He was just glad to have him out of the house. At the hospital, Jason overhears Elizabeth telling Epiphany that she couldn't get the hot toy of the season for Cameron. As the children gathered 'round, Alan read the traditional Christmas story. Alexis and Sam were thrilled when Kristina spoke the words, "Merry Christmas, Mommy!" As the Christmas Pageant began, Carly teared up when Michael spoke his lines, and Sonny appeared to hand her a handkerchief. The pageant was a hodgepodge of sweetness and light, and Morgan stole the show with his goofy antics as the Little Drummer Boy. The snow began to fall after the pageant concluded.

On the docks, Liz was thrilled to find the toy she'd been seeking for Cam, courtesy of Jason. Liz was touched beyond words. During a montage set to "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas," Patrick and Robin headed to the supply closet as Epiphany smiled and shook her head, Edward went to ask the Qs about Alcazar but he just smiled and escorted Skye and Lila Rae home, Lulu tried on her mother's ring, Jason and Liz hugged, Sonny was shocked to see Father Ruiz (a dead ringer for Manny), Nikolas was horrified to find the manger empty and Spencer nowhere to be found. Sonny and Jason approached the new priest, who looks just like Manny Ruiz. As they are about to kill him, the other priest intervened. He explained that Father Ruiz is new to the diocese, and is not the evil Manny. Ruiz explained that Manny was his twin brother. At one time, they belonged to the same gang and therefore they have the same tattoos to honor the gang they were in. After a trip to jail, Manny turned to evil and his brother found God. The priest assures them this is true, that he has the documentation to prove it. Ruiz claims he requested a transfer to Port Charles to try to attone for the damage his brother had done. When Jason arrives back at the penthouse, he calls Stan and tells him to research this new Father Ruiz, he wants him to run his fingerprints, and all of the info about when he was in jail, release dates, ect. Sam overhears and is shocked to hear Jason to suggest that Manny could have killed his brother and assumed his identity. Sam suggests that if he is Manny's twin, that he could be out for revenge. Jason assures a shaken Sam that no matter who this new Ruiz is, that he is not going to let him hurt Sam. Jason lightens things up by giving Sam a diamond studded star necklace.

Sam announced that she was applying for a job at General Hospital as it is time to move ahead with my life she stated. She was going for a job as a file clerk. Sam reminded Jason that she wasn't going to diveor salvage (her old job) if she hoped to get pregnant. True. Sam promised to stay on birth control until Jason was ready. Sam gave the HR person (Miss Sneed) her resume. Miss Sneed immediately handed it back. Sam demanded an interview or she'd file a discrimination suit. The HR person reminded Sam she had a list of police problems. Dr. Quartermaine interrupted and hired Sam on the spot. It was payback for saving Jason. "I'm glad you are here. Welcome to General Hospital," he said as he left. Elizabeth looked a bit concerned. Sam headed home and ran into Mateo.

Elizabeth and Cameron ran into Jason. Jason was charmed by Cameron's new toy. Elizabeth got teary and admitted she had wanted a dad for Cameron and the new baby. Elizabeth added that the situation was very complicated and said she wanted to make the best decision. Jason learned more about Manny's brother, Mateo from Stan. Jason wondered if Manny had survived and was pretending to be his brother? Jason also learned that before Mateo had become a priest he was a far worse guy than Manny. Sam feels threatened when she runs into Manny's twin, Father Mateo on the docks. She warns him to stay away from her. He tells her that he understands she is afraid after what his brother put her through and tries to assure her he means no harm. Sam doesn't believe he is Mateo and thinks he is pretending to be his brother and wants to hurt her. She threatens to kill him if he goes anywhere near her or Jason. Sam goes home and takes out Jason's gun and holds onto it. Meanwhile, Jason heads to the hospital and asks Dr. Lee about Sam. Dr. Lee tells him she can't divulge any information about Sam since she is a patient of hers. Jason asks her if she can answer a hypothetical question concerning Sam. Dr. Lee said she would. He asks her how much time does it take for a woman to heal completely after losing a baby like Sam did. Dr. Lee tells him that it takes a long time to heal but that in Sam's case she could get pregnant by next year at this time. Elizabeth can't help but overhear Jason talking to Dr. Lee and seems disturbed by the conversation. Jason notices her at the nurses' station and approaches her. He asks her how she is doing? She tells him she is fine. She asks him if he came to the hospital to get his bullet wound checked out. He tells her he came to see how Sam did on her job interview. Elizabeth is surprised he doesn't know already. She tells him about Sam's run in with Ms. Sneed and informs him that Alan gave Sam the job instead.

Jason goes home and sees that his gun box is out and has been opened. He finds Sam sitting anxiously on the couch with his gun in her hand. Sam keeps having flashbacks to when she shot Diego in self-defense and how Kristina witnessed it all. She tells Jason about her run-in with Father Mateo and how she knew it was really Manny when she saw him. Jason tries to reassure her that it wasn't Manny and that Manny is dead and that Stan found out that Manny did indeed have an identical twin brother who became a priest. Sam doesn't believe that Mateo is any different from Manny since they were raised by the same parents and both were in prison. She warns Jason not to trust this guy because he is probably worse than Manny ever was. Jason tells her that he isn't trusting the priest but that he doesn't think he is going to hurt them. Sam tells him she understands now what he was trying to tell her before, maybe they shouldn't be parents and that maybe it is true that some people aren't meant to be parents. She tells Jason that this doesn't mean that she still doesn't want to have children anyway. Jason holds her to comfort her.

Spinelli surprised Sam, who was planning a romantic night for Jason. Spinelli said the roads are closed. There was a crash upstairs. Meanwhile, Sonny told Jason that Mateo really is reformed. The conversation turned to Sam, and Jason assured Sonny that he's a loyal boyfriend to her. Jason recounted how Sam desperately wants a child, but he fretted about his dangerous lifestyle. Back at the penthouse, the noise turned out to be a window Sam left open (during this horrible snowstorm). She admitted that he's "odd" and "amusing," but she's in love with Jason. Spinelli admitted he's never been in love. Sam said she "can't wait" to start a family with Jason, and Spinelli assured her that she will make a great mother. Jason arrived home at the stroke of midnight and embraced Sam. Spinelli told "Stone Cold" Jason that he should talk Sam out of wanting a baby. Sam was mortified, and chased Spinelli upstairs. Alone, Jason told a thrilled Sam that he was ready to start a family with her. After Jason left, Spinelli later approached Sam with a picture of a baby that she could adopt. She explained to him that when she didn't think she could have any more children, she and Jason talked of adoption. Things are different now, and they are going to give the "old college try".

An emotional Liz lost control of her car in the storm, and it skidded off the road. She stumbled out of vehicle and managed to knock herself unconscious on some nearby rocks. As Elizabeth lay unconscious by the side of the road, she dreamt of various scenarios concerning her pregnancy. The first dream was that Lucky was the baby's father. In the second dream, she walked into Kelly's with Cam and her new baby to find Maxie and Lucky kissing. This time, Lucky was unremorseful and flaunted his affair with Maxie in her face. Jason found Liz, and brought her to General Hospital. At the hospital, Jason tried to talk to a still unconscious Liz. Lucky arrived, and is grateful to Jason for saving their baby. Lucky and Jason stayed by Liz's bedside. Liz dreams's of Lucky chewing her out for lying about the baby's paternity and Jason didn't back her up. Then, Liz woke up to find a very soothing and reassuring Lucky by her side. Liz was released from the hospital and she called Jason and thanked him for saving her. The next morning, Sam kisses Jason and tells him she has time before leaving for work and they head upstairs. Afterwards, she is really late to work. He suggests that they make love one more time (as she is trying to get pregnant), giggling she says she can't as she is really late to work on her first day and rushes out.

DVD #14B  Sam has a run-in with Ms. Sneed, the Head of Personnel at the hospital. Ms. Sneed asks her why she was three minutes late for work? Sam tells her it was traffic. Ms. Sneed tells her that is not a good excuse to be late for work. Sam tries to get her off of her back about being late and apologizes and claims it won't happen again. Ms. Sneed insists on knowing the real reason she was late. Elizabeth, Lucky, and Epiphany are close by and hear the whole conversation. Sam gets tired to trying to explain the real reason she was late. She finally tells her she was late because she was having sex with her boyfriend because they are trying to have a baby. Ms. Sneed tells her that is not an appropriate answer to say out loud. Sam tells her she kept harping on her for an answer so she told the truth. Ms. Sneed takes off in a huff. Sam also takes off down the hallway and passes Elizabeth and Lucky. Elizabeth is disgusted at Ms. Sneed for badgering Sam about why she was late and making Sam blurt out her personal business, hiding her own dismay at learning that Sam and Jason were intimate last night and are trying to conceive.

Carly comes by Jason's place to talk to him. She insists that Jason go over and talk to Sonny and tell him to stop using their kids to manipulate her and insists she loves Jax and wants to marry him. Jason is sick and tired of dealing with her personal problems with Sonny and tells her to go back and hash things out with Sonny herself. Carly tells him she needs him to help her because Sonny won't listen to her. Jason makes a remark about how people shouldn't have children if they can't be good parents to them. Carly asks him what he means since it is moot point since she already has children. Jason tries to distract her from enquiring about his personal life when he suddenly agrees to go and talk to Sonny for her. Carly thinks that Sam is already pregnant and is happy for him. He tells her that Sam isn't pregnant but they are trying to have a baby. Carly brings up Elizabeth's name which bothers Jason. Jason tells her that Elizabeth has done nothing to her and there is no reason for her to talk about her. Carly is grateful that Elizabeth saved his life but feels that he saved her life recently so they are even. Jason tells her that Elizabeth is a good friend to him. Carly tells him she still doesn't like Elizabeth because she has a hidden agenda concerning him and is always coming to him with her problems instead of going to Lucky when she needs something. Jason tells her to back off.

Carly doesn't listen and heads to the hospital to see Elizabeth in person. Elizabeth is working at the nurses' station when Carly shows up. Carly asks her to step into the waiting area so they can talk more privately. Elizabeth tries to blow her off by telling her she is working. Carly insists they talk unless she wants to blurt out something for everyone to hear. Elizabeth asks her what she wants? Carly tells Elizabeth to stay away from Jason. Elizabeth refuses to stay away from Jason because they are close friends. Carly accuses Elizabeth of having a hidden agenda and that she wants Jason for herself. Sam comes by and overhears their conversation. Elizabeth tells Carly that when Jason thought he could be the father of her baby, he offered to marry her. Sam is disturbed by what Elizabeth says. Carly tells Elizabeth that Jason loves Sam and wants to have a baby with her and warns her to stay away from Jason.

Sonny and Jason strike back at Alcazar by intercepting one of his shipments so the cops will find it. Alcazar is angry when he learns what happened and makes plans to eliminate Sonny and Jason. Alcazar gets a call from his contact in the government who warns him that if there is another problem in their next shipment, there will be serious consequences. Carly went to the penthouse and told Sam that she knows Sam and Jason are trying to have a child and advised, "The sooner, the better." She left, then Spinelli burst into the penthouse to complain that Alexis chewed him out while he was playing with Kristina. Sam said she'd take care of this. She went to the lake house and had Viola take the girls for the afternoon. Sam convinced Alexis to get high to relieve her pain and she reluctantly complied.

At the coffeehouse, Sonny and Jason planned their next move against Alcazar. Jason returned to the penthouse, gave Spinelli money to stay at a hotel for the night and planned a special evening with Sam. Then, Liz arrived to thank him for saving her. She confessed that she was on the way to see him on the night of her accident and was on the verge of telling him that he's the father of her baby. Later, Lorenzo arrived to confront Sonny and he pulled a gun on Sonny and planned to pull the trigger. Carly barged in, prompting Alcazar to turn around. In a split second, Sonny grabbed his gun and shot at Alcazar.

Elizabeth is at Jason's penthouse and she is about to tell him the truth about the baby's paternity when Lucky knocks on the door. Elizabeth runs into the other room and hides while Lucky questions Jason about the feud between Sonny and Alcazar. While they are talking Lucky gets a call about Alcazar's shooting and he leaves. Elizabeth comes out from hiding and she has changed her mind about telling Jason the truth. She and Jason leave the penthouse but Elizabeth accidentally forgets her scarf. Sam comes home to the empty penthouse and finds Elizabeth's scarf. Sam gets jealous and upset as she thinks about all the times Elizabeth has been there and she goes to the hospital and confronts Elizabeth.

At the nurses' station, Sam approached Liz and publicly confronted her about what she wants from Jason. Ms. Sneed, the hospital administrator broke up the argument and threatened to put both women on probation. Epiphany stepped in and told Ms. Sneed that she could not do that because Sam was off duty, and Elizabeth is not under the administrator's authority. Epiphany then told Sam that she ought to show some respect, given the fact that Elizabeth risked her career to break Sam out of the hospital and Epiphany faked being a hostage all because Jason asked them to. Sam was still indignant and promptly quit her job. Alone at the penthouse, a distraught and seemingly drunk Sam smashed a glass against the wall. Later, Jason arrived home and Sam apologized for her behavior at the hospital.

Jason scolded Carly for implicating Sonny in front of Ric, and told her the only way out was for Carly to re-marry Sonny. Carly flatly refused to consider it. At the hospital, Epiphany reprimanded Jason for Sam's behavior. He apologized to her, and then to Elizabeth. Liz accepted the apology but acknowledged that Sam may be right about her spending too much time with Jason. Later, Jason embraced a poor parishioner embrace Father Ruiz for helping his family with medical expenses. Back home, Jason was understanding when Sam told him she quit her job at the hospital, but he was shocked when she suggested working at ELQ. He was worried but assured her she could work for whomever she wanted to.

Sam shows up at the Quartermaine mansion on time to report to Edward for her first day as his executive assistant. She surprises Edward when she asks him if he only hired her so she would produce an heir for him in return. Edward is not pleased when Jason is behind him and wants an answer. Edward tells her he hired her because he thinks she has potential but that he wants another heir that he can help provide a future that is safe which Jason can't provide. Jason isn't pleased with his answer but tells Sam it is her choice whether she wants to work for Edward or not. Sam accepts the job. Jason leaves them. Edward asks her not to spring any more surprise visits from Jason on him and she promises not to do that as long as he promises not to expect her to produce an heir in exchange for this job. Edward gets her started on her new job as his assistant. He is pleased by how well she scheduled meetings for him and likes her own opinions on the type of businesses ELQ acquired. However, Tracy is not pleased that Edward hired her and starts calling Sam names while she is right there as if she wasn't in the room. Edward refuses to listen to Tracy and thinks that whatever heir that Sam and Jason provide him is an improvement over her own sons. Tracy doesn't think Sam will fit in with the boardroom types. Edward warns Sam to watch her back regarding Tracy who he believes will try to make Sam's life a living hell. He tells her that Tracy will be her trial by fire and that if she can handle Tracy she can handle anyone. Sam tells him she isn't afraid of Tracy and will be fine. Tracy eavesdrops on their conversation. She calls a private investigator and asks him to dig up dirt on Sam that she can use against her.

Sonny and Jason return to Jason's penthouse. They discuss Carly and how they can convince her the only choice they have is for her to marry Sonny. Spinelli comes downstairs and gives his opinion about Carly marrying Sonny. Sonny doesn't know what he is talking about when Spinelli draws comparisons of his predicament to a video game. Spinelli tells Jason that Carly was over earlier and that he told her about Ric's past partnership with Alcazar to set up Sam and that she just took off after he told her to get dirt on him to use against him. Sonny and Jason show up at Ric's office to drag Carly out of there before she does something stupid. It is too late when Ric tells Carly he can arrest her for attempted extortion and that he had their conversation recorded as proof. He plays the tape back and Carly realizes the mistake she made.

Jason tries to convince Carly to marry Sonny. It appears to be working, and Carly goes to tell Sonny that she will marry him. Carly is a bundle of nerves on her and Sonny's wedding day. Sonny keeps the fact that he no longer faces attempted murder charges and doesn't need to rely on spousal privilege from Carly and Jason and plans on going through with the wedding. Jason fears that Carly will end up getting hurt and worries that Sonny will want a real marriage with her. Carly reminds Sonny that their marriage is strictly a legal maneuver and will not be consummated. Carly can't go through with the wedding. As the nuptials for Carly and Sonny begin, Lulu arrives with Michael and Morgan. Mike and Bobbie also show up. Carly is upset and walks out on the ceremony and locks herself in an empty room. Lulu apologizes for bringing the boys and tries to convince Carly to come back out. Jason suspects Sonny is viewing this marriage as something more than a legal maneuver, and reminds him that it is just that. Michael apologizes to Sonny for showing up at the ceremony, and is upset to think that Sonny will go to jail if the wedding does not happen. Sonny promises Michael that Sonny and Carly will be married. Jason tries to convince Carly to go through with the wedding, promising her a quickie divorce as soon as Sonny is legally in the clear. In the end, she and Sonny say their "I dos".

At the Quartermaine mansion, Tracy addresses Sam by the name of "Angela Monroe". Sam feigns ignorance until Tracy presents her with an envelope of incriminating photos. Tracy demands Sam's immediate resignation, or else she will expose the photos. Sam gives her resignation to a reluctant Edward. He thinks that Tracy has something to do with this. Sam admits that Tracy is a witch, but denies Tracy's involvement. She insists that because Jason has tried to distance himself from the Quartermaines that she should do the same. Edward is angry because he thinks Jason put her up to this, just as Jason walks in. Edward scolds Jason for trying to make Sam quit her job. Jason denies it. Alone, Sam tells Jason that she doesn't want the pressure of producing an heir. After they leave, Tracy starts to destroy the pictures, but then changes her mind.

Elizabeth goes to talk to Jason and explains her situation with Lucky. She doesn't think she wants to get back together with him, but she's worried he'll go back on pills if he realizes they are over forever. She doesn't want to be responsible for Lucky's undoing. She goes to the church to confess and tells Father Ruiz that if she's not able to tell Jason that she's carrying their child, she'll never get to tell him that she's in love with him. Sam comes home and talks to Spinelli about the possibility of permanently erasing information and pictures on the internet. Spinelli seems to know how to do it, and tells her it would be easy for him. She thanks him for his information, but doesn't allude to her particular situation with Tracy. When Jason comes home, he finds a pregnancy test on his desk. Sam comes downstairs and tells him that she hasn't taken the test yet, but there's a possibility she may be pregnant.

Sam explains to Jason that she didn't want to wait and worry about it and wanted to know for sure. She goes upstairs and takes the test. Later, she comes downstairs and tells him it was negative. Jason tries to comfort her when he sees how disappointed she looks. She tells him that the bright side of all of this is they can keep on trying. Jason kisses and Sam backs off and tells him she has a job interview and can't be late. She worries about what to say when they ask her about her background or history and find out about her numerous arrests and shady past. Jason doesn't understand why she didn't stay with ELQ since she could avoid that background check. She tells him that she didn't want Edward to think that she was agreeing to have an heir for him and that she wants to get a job on her own without anyone else's influence. Jason respects that and wishes her luck. Sam shows up a Metro Court and fills out an application. She is introduced to Mr. Maddox, the new manager. He reads over her application. Sam tells him she didn't have enough room to write all of her history on it. He tells her that it is okay since they do a background check on all potential employees. He tells her that he has seen her talking at the hotel with Carly, one of the owners and asks her if she is friends with her. Sam doesn't want him to know she knows Carly personally and denies she knows her.

Later, Mr. Maddox tells one of his employees that Sam doesn't have much job experience but that he is still going to do a background check on her anyway. The employee is surprised that Mr. Maddox doesn't know who Sam is. He asks Maddox if Sam's address looks familiar to him. He explains to Maddox that it is the same address where Carly has a car pick her up sometimes. He tells him that Sam is Jason Morgan's girlfriend. Maddox wonders why Sam lied to him. Sam heads to the coffee shop to see Jason. One of the men tells Sam that Jason is in a meeting with Sonny and will be right out soon. Sam orders a coffee and sits down. Sonny's lawyer, Diane, talks to her about her job hunting. Sam tells her that she wants to get a job on her own merit and not because she is Jason's girlfriend.

Sonny meets with Jason in his office. Sonny tells Jason he needs him to go find Carly and bring her back to Port Charles because he needs her to testify in court for Alexis at the custody hearing to say that he is a good father to his kids and would never put them in harm's way and that Molly was safe with them when she stayed with them. Jason surprises Sonny when he refuses to go after Carly and convince her to come back. He explains to Sonny that the marriage is one of convenience and that he can't force Carly to think of the marriage differently if she doesn't want to and he won't tell her what to do since he already did him a favor by convincing her to marry him in the first place.

Elizabeth runs into Jason at the coffee shop he owns with Sonny. She is drinking some tea and tells him the shop has more selections of tea than Kelly's has. He sits down with her. He tells her the tea is on the house and she thanks him. They talk and Elizabeth thanks him for being there for her when she talked about Lucky at the park and tells him it is easy to talk to him. Jason tells her that it is because they trust each other. Elizabeth tells him she hasn't always been truthful with him and talks about how you can't expect two people will be able to make things work unless both people want it to. She is about to tell him how she feels when he brings up trust being necessary in a relationship. She asks him if he trusts Sam. He tells her he loves Sam and wants her to be happy. Elizabeth loses her nerves and wishes him the best with Sam and leaves.

Jason offers to let Sam work at the coffee house, but she is determined to get a job on her own. She is surprised but very happy when the Metro Court offers her a job. She asks the manager why he offered her the job, and he tells her she has the qualities he was looking for. He starts to train her and give her instruction. While Sam goes outside, her new coworker inquires about Sam's position. The manager says not to mess with Jason Morgan's girlfriend or Carly Corinthos' friend. When Sam gets back to her training, she learns about the hotel's vault when a guest asks to put some jewels there. Elizabeth stops by the coffee house to get some special coffee for her grandmother since she's watching the boys for her tonight. Jason stops to talk to her and asks if she's working tonight. Elizabeth explains that she's going to dinner with Lucky. She doesn't want him to read too much into it, but she's still concerned about him going back on drugs.

Sam starts her new job at Metro Court and comes face to face with Mateo Ruiz. Father Ruiz is there to drop off items for a charity auction. Sam is very rude to Father Ruiz at which time the manager interferes and asks Sam to apologize but she refuses. Father Ruiz says he understands her actions and leaves. Sonny, Jason and Diane have a meeting outside the coffeehouse. Diane informs Sonny that Judge Hunter will be presiding over the custody case of Ric and Alexis and that she doesn't always side with the mother, she sides with the safest environment and if Ric can convince the judge that Sonny's association with Alexis puts Molly in danger, Ric could get sole custody. She warns Sonny to stop visiting Alcazar at the hospital and risk provoking him. A sniper is seen with aim on Sonny but is hit from behind before a shot is taken. Jason goes to the building and room where the movement was and, upon investigating, realizes that a gun rest was placed on the window sill and was placed in direct alignment to where he and Sonny were standing outside. He then makes his way to the hospital and questions Alcazar. Jason asks who wants Sonny dead. He asks Alcazar about the sniper and Alcazar says it could be anyone. Jason insists that Alcazar must know and inquires about the shipment coming. Alcazar tells him that everyone involved is confidential and he doesn't know them. Jason wants to know why Alcazar would move something and not know what is inside. Alcazar tells Jason, "If you want to live through this, you'll do what I'm doing, speak only when spoken to and stay out of their way". Jason and Bernie are outside the coffeehouse and Jason instructs Bernie to buy the building next door (the one the sniper was in). Sonny arrives and tells Jason about Alexis and Ric. Jason tells Sonny that Carly called and that she and the boys are fine. He tells Sonny that it is a good thing they are away and then tells him about the sniper.

Mrs. Porter becomes angry at Sam and accuses her of coming on to her husband, then requests to speak to the manager. Sam apologizes and says it was an accident. The manager says that he is sure it was and everything is okay. Another worker comes over and the manager tells him that Ms. Corinthos has said that Jason Morgan gets anything he wants and that Sam is his girlfriend. Being nice to her will make Ms. Corinthos happy. The phone rings and the desk clerk answers. Sam overhears him tell the person that there is no person by the name of Angela Monroe listed as a guest. Sam calls Tracy to tell her to stop checking up on her and to get rid of the pictures of Angela Monroe. Maxie comes into the lobby and says she got the job. She thanks Sam for letting her borrow the shoes and then hands her a gift, a new pair of shoes. Alcazar calls and speaks with the desk clerk. He would like to arrange for something of extreme value to be stored there. An unknown person is seen with a silver briefcase at a computer. They appear to be setting what looks like a bomb. The briefcase is closed and a green light turns on while another person is looking in at Alcazar clutching a newspaper with Sonny on the cover. Sonny tells Jason whatever is going on with Alcazar, it better not affect them.

Jason tells Sam about the sniper that was prepared to take Sonny out. He doesn't know why he didn't shoot, but he thinks it has something to do with Alcazar's shipment. He wants Sam to take a leave of absence from work so that she is not in any danger. She refuses and tells him she can't take off work right after she starts. She assures him that she will be careful and everything will be fine. Lulu goes to Jason's apartment where Spinelli has just arrived home. Jason tells her that Spinelli has work to do for him, but Lulu tells him her work is more important. She goes on to explain that she thinks Alan killed Rick Webber. Jason asks her how much she knows about his injury, and she tells him all she knows is that his alcoholic brother crashed their car into a tree. Jason explains his head injury and how he had to get away from the Quartermaine's because they kept trying to make him into something he wasn't. Max goes to the Metro Court where he is interviewed by the manager. The manager doesn't feel he would be a good fit for the Metro Court, but Sam reminds him that it is in everyone's best interest to keep Carly happy. Since Carly wants Max to be the head of security, he ends up getting the job. When Carly shows up at the Metro Court, she finds Sam working behind the desk. She is happy she is working there, but doesn't want any special treatment.

Liz runs into Jason who is deep in thought. She tells him that he can talk to her if he needs someone to listen. Especially since he's always there to listen to her. He tells her that he helped convince Carly to marry Sonny, because he knew that's what Sonny wanted. But Sonny wants more than a marriage of convenience. Carly is in love with Jax and doesn't want to be with Sonny. Jason feels responsible for Carly's unhappiness. Liz tells him that unfortunately you can't pick who you fall in love with. Elizabeth seems to be talking in riddles about unborn children and how she must do what is best for her unborn child. She tells Jason that he may have an unborn child but doesn't explain what she means which confuses Jason. She tells him that she is having dinner with Lucky but that she doesn't feel the same way about him like she used to. Jason tries to get her to clarify what she is trying to tell him when she brings up having secrets. Elizabeth is tempted to tell him he is her baby's biological father but loses her nerve and leaves without explaining herself.

Lucky goes to the Metro Court to arrange for their dinner plans. Sam sets up a table for them later tonight and arranges to have flowers delivered to their table after they are seated. Lucky questions Sam about why she is going to so much trouble for him when she doesn't exactly get along with Elizabeth. Sam tells her that she feels somewhat responsible for what happened to them when she was responsible for Ric's break-up with Alexis which caused Ric to pursue Elizabeth lately. Lucky tells her he was responsible for his own marriage problems not her. Lucky sits at the table in the restaurant and opens up a jewelry box holding an engagement ring inside. Lulu runs into him at the hotel and finds out he plans to propose to Elizabeth. She worries that Lucky is setting himself up for a big disappointment since Elizabeth just filed divorce papers a couple of weeks ago and may not be ready to take him back this soon. Lucky tells her he feels that Elizabeth still cares about him and probably still loves him since she went to so much effort to prove what Maxie did to him. Lulu still worries about him but wishes him luck anyway. Elizabeth is nervous about her dinner with Lucky. Lucky asks her to listen while he tells her what is on his mind. Elizabeth is quiet as he goes on about how he wants to make things up to her for her and the baby and Cameron.

Later, Sam drops off some documents for Carly to sign while she is at home. Carly asks Sam if Jax has been in touch with the hotel recently. Sam doesn't remember hearing anything about that and wonders why she wouldn't know since Jax would have called her first before contacting the hotel. Carly tells her she hasn't heard from Jax and is worried about him. Sam asks her if Jax knows that she had to marry Sonny. Carly tells her he doesn't know yet. Sam wonders if Jax will be okay with that? Carly thinks he will be okay after she explains why she had to marry Sonny. Sam doesn't think that Jax will be that understanding about it. Carly doesn't really like where Sam is going with the conversation especially when she tells Carly that she doesn't seem all that worried about Jax returning and doesn't seem all that enthusiastic about him returning some day soon. Carly turns around and tells Sam that she wouldn't be too happy if Elizabeth was to be carrying Jason's child and he had married her.

Jason meets with Sonny to discuss the shipment that Alcazar is expecting and what the shipment contains that has him so nervous and desperate enough that he tried to kill Sonny to protect its contents. They change the subject over to Sonny's marriage to Carly. Jason asks Sonny to back off of Carly because it isn't fair for him to play with Carly's feelings like that knowing how she feels about Jax. Sonny won't apologize for how he feels about Carly and admits that he plans on getting her back for himself. Jason heads to Carly's place to watch the boys while she goes to talk to Sonny. Jason sits with Michael and Morgan while they do their homework. Michael tells him that he wants to live with both his parents again. Jason tries not to get their hopes up about their parents and stays quiet about it.

Alcazar gets a call from his superior about the shipment. He says that he will see that the shipment arrives safely personally. He gets out of bed and Skye worries it is too soon but he is adamant that he must make sure the shipment arrives at the hotel personally and that it is secure. Skye brings him there and distracts the new head of security for the hotel, Max. A mysterious man gets off a plane in Port Charles with one hand handcuffed to a secret briefcase, which is the mysterious shipment Alcazar is waiting for to arrive. The mystery man shows up with the briefcase. While Skye distracts Max, who Alcazar believes is there to watch him like a hawk and report back to Sonny. Alcazar has the briefcase put into the security vault at the hotel. Sam returns to the hotel at the same time and the manager hands her Alcazar's briefcase while Alcazar isn't looking and tells him the briefcase is headed into the vault right now. Mr. Craig confronts Alcazar about the shipment arriving early. He wants to get it now, rather than wait on their previously arranged time. Alcazar refuses and says they will go with the original schedule. Skye comes into the hotel and realizes that she is to be Alcazar's alibi. They go to the counter where Alcazar asks to see the Valentine's gift that he had stored in the vault. A hotel worker brings out the briefcase. While Alcazar enters the code into the briefcase to keep it from exploding, Skye distracts the hotel worker by talking about how she wants to get her Valentine's present now rather than later. Alcazar finishes entering the code and tells the hotel worker that he can take the briefcase back into the vault now. Lorenzo questions the hotel worker on the security system and he is told that the vault is state of art, there is a time lock and an emergency switch, if there is any attempt at a robbery the fail safe is triggered and the vault locks down immediately.

Sam is anxious about getting pregnant, so she decides to go see the doctor and make sure everything is okay. During the exam, she explains about her previous placenta abruption that caused her child to be born too early. The doctor agrees that the previous problems will not affect Sam's ability to get pregnant, but something else has come up causing Sam to not be able to conceive. The doctor tells Sam that she cannot have children. She is very upset and, when she gets home, takes her anger out on Spinelli. She becomes devastated when Jason tells her that he wants to have children and cannot wait until she has a baby.

Carly overhears Sonny and Diane talking about their wedding and believes Sonny may have lied to her. She asks Jason and he denies that Sonny lied. Jason asks Sonny if he is planning to stall the case. When left alone, Carly asks Sonny if he lied to her and he admits that he did. He then tells her that it was worth it because he got her back. She tells him she is going to the Dominican Republic to get a divorce and goes to see Jason.

Metro Court Sequence - Mac and a team of police officers are surrounding the Metro Court Hotel. They see a masked figure in black scaling the side of the building. As the police train their guns on the dark figure, Sam jumps down and pulls off her mask. She yells that the buidling is wired to explode and they have to get the everyone out now! Gunshots erupt inside and they hear people screaming as the Metro Court is under seige with hostages being held. The police storm the building, Nik runs out with Robin in his arms. He cries out that Robin has been hit. Patrick runs to her side, and Nik turns to run back in for Emily. He is thrown back when the Metro Court, explodes.

14 Hours Earlier, As Jason consoles Sam, Carly burst into the penthouse with the revelation that Sonny tricked her into marriage. After Sam leaves, she tells Jason about how she caught onto the plot. Jason apologizes to her, and said he had no idea about Sonny's plan. She asks Jason when they can go to the Dominican Republic for the divorce? Milo shows up, and tells Carly that Sonny will not release Carly's passport. A distraught Carly calls Bernie and asks for a fake passport, but he tells her that Sonny won't allow it. Jason tries to calm her down, and suggests filing for divorce in New York. Carly says that it will take too long. Sonny is turning on the charm, and she is afraid that she will fall back in love with him. Jason tells her he will support her no matter what. After Carly leaves, Jason get a phone call about a shipment. He is not aware of any arrivals, and sets out to see what is going on. At the bridge, he runs into Elizabeth and she tells Jason that she is tired of everyone bothering her about Lucky. Jason tells her to focus on what she needs, and tells her he'd like to help.

Mr. Craig asks Sam if he can see the hotel vault as he is skeptical about storing his goods there. She tells him that only employees have access to it, but assures him that it is a first-class system. Dr. Lee asks Sam to deliver an envelope. Sam asks for a second appointment to talk about she can carry a baby. Dr. Lee agrees, but confirms to Sam that she probably cannot conceive or carry a baby because of scar tissue from her gunshot wound. She begins to discuss other fertility options, but Sam quiets her.
