Jason & Sam #13  September 28 - November 30 , 2006 - 8 hour edit

Jason walks Elizabeth home to her apartment to get some important papers and a few other things to take back with her to her grandmother's. Lucky is there with a bag packed and all cleaned up. He tells her he is going to rehab and hopes she will come see him there. Elizabeth tells him she is happy he is going to rehab but that she won't be visiting him and won't be waiting for him when he returns. Lucky pleads with her to give him another chance once he gets better for the sake of their marriage and their unborn baby. Elizabeth tries to get her things and tries to avoid talking to Lucky anymore. She goes into the other room to retrieve her things and leaves Jason alone with Lucky. Jason tries to be sympathetic and tells Lucky that he knows this is hard for him and that sometimes damage in a relationship can be permanent and asks Lucky to give Elizabeth the space she needs right now. Lucky tells Jason that he was wrong to set him up with the drugs and that his only excuse was that he did it out of desperation and apologizes. Jason accepts his apology. Elizabeth comes back in the room and says goodbye to Lucky. Lucky asks her if she still loves him anymore and Elizabeth can't look him in the eye to say she doesn't. She tells him she loves him and wishes him well. Jason brings her back to Audrey's house. Audrey is surprised to see Jason with Elizabeth. Elizabeth picks up Cameron and introduces him to Jason. She also tells Cameron again that he is going to have a little brother or sister someday. Elizabeth apologizes for Lucky to Jason before he leaves. 

Sam comes in to see Alexis and she asks how the girls are doing? Sam hesitates before answering and that worries Alexis. Alexis demands to know what is going on with the girls? Sam explains what happened earlier that week when Viola brought Kristina to see her while she was in her coma and that Kristina freaked when she couldn't talk to her and get a response from Alexis. Alexis asks Sam where she was when Viola did this. Sam explains that she was out for a walk, getting some fresh air and went straight to the hospital when Viola called and explained what happened. Alexis gets very upset with her and asks her why she wasn't taking better care of Kristina and Molly to allow this to happen. Sam tries to defend her actions but Alexis doubts her abilities to take care of the girls and tells her if she isn't up to it, she will find someone else to take care of them. Sam decides to leave the room before she starts crying. Ric tells Alexis to back off of Sam and defends her. Sam goes up on the roof of the hospital and Jason finds her at their meeting place. He notices she has been crying and asks her what is wrong? Sam explains what she told Alexis about Kristina seeing her while she was in her coma. Jason tells her it wasn't her fault and that she is just trying to find her way with being a parent figure. Sam fears that Alexis is going to die and that she won't be able to be a good big sister to Kristina and Molly the way Alexis thinks she should. Jason asks her if they could meet here every day and talk. Sam tells him she would like that. Alexis informs Sam that she has been researching naturopathic cures as she will not be going through with the chemotherapy. Alexis tells Sam that she does not want to be in limbo and that she is not giving up on life, just choosing an alternate path to the chemotherapy. 

Liz is reading a letter that she received from Lucky informing her that he still loves her and Cam and he hopes that she will be able to trust him again once he leaves rehab. Jason walks up to her and begins asking her if work is really the best thing for her with her pregnancy? Liz thanks Jason for his offer to help, but tells him that she is working in order to keep herself sane. Sam and Jason are talking on the rooftop of the hospital discussing how they can learn to trust each other again. Just then Sam's phone rings and interrupts their conversation. Ric is on the other end and he tells Sam that Kristina is having problems in school and her teacher wants to meet with both of them to discuss this but that he is not able to go. Sam says that she will go and meet with Kristina's teacher. She reassures Jason that she co-exists with Ric just for the sake of Molly and Kristina. Jason and Sonny are talking at Sonny's house about Alexis' refusal to have chemotherapy. Sonny tells Jason that he has to protect Kristina. Jason tells Sonny that Sam is willing to take both Kristina and Molly if Alexis dies. Sonny tells Jason that he has not agreed to this plan yet. Jason tells Sonny that he can make Ric "disappear". Sonny advises Jason that killing Ric won't change the fact that Sam and Ric had sex, and he tells Jason not to let Ric get to him. 

Sam arrives at the Metro Court for what she believes is a meeting with Kristina's teacher. The woman from Kristina's school says that she is the head of the fundraising committee. Sam is confused and says she thought they were meeting because Kristina is having problems at school. The woman says that Kristina is a pleasure at school and is not having any problems. Just then Ric shows up. Sam says she thought he had a meeting and couldn't make it, but he says his meeting was cancelled. The woman from the school then asks Ric and Sam to take over as the fundraising parent in Alexis' place. Sam is reluctant to take on this task but Ric pressures her into it. As they are talking, Jason arrives at the Metro Court and observes them talking. 

Edward sees Lorenzo across the room and he becomes enraged because he blames Lorenzo for Skye leaving Port Charles. Edward lunges to go after Lorenzo and Emily has to restrain him. Emily thanks Jason for coming to help her with Edward. Edward is ranting about Lorenzo and tells Jason that he should have killed him when he had the chance. Jason tells Emily to take Edward home and says he will stay at the Metro Court to keep an eye on Lorenzo. Jason sees Ric put his hand on Sam's leg while they were talking to the Charity Director from Kristina's school. As he walked away, Sam noticed that he saw what had happened. She quickly excused herself from the meeting and called Jason and asked to meet him on the roof. Sam tried to explain the situation, and Jason let her know that he knew that Ric was playing him. She tried to understand why he was so upset, if he knew that it was all Ric's doing. He let her know that he was angry and that he didn't know what to do. She let him know that she was tired trying to make everything right, and that maybe they should take a break from trying so hard. He agreed, and left. 

Back at Sonny's place, Bernie was trying to explain to Sonny about problems that the business was having. When Jason came to talk to Sonny, he was willing to go to Puerto Rico to take care of business. Sonny told him that he should go to show strength, and that Jason should not be running away from his problems in Port Charles. Jason let Sonny know about the conversation he had with Sam, and that it would be helpful if he could leave. Sonny disagreed, and decided that he would be the one to go to Puerto Rico. At the hospital, Ric and Sam were arguing when Alexis came back to the room after having some tests done. She let them know that she had decided to go through with the chemotherapy, and that they would need to get along while she was going through treatment. Both of them promised to do whatever necessary to help her recover. 

On the docks, business went bad between Jason and Lorenzo, so much so that Lorenzo pulled a gun on his rival. Lorenzo wanted Jason to know he was serious. Emily is hurt that Liz didn't tell her that she is pregnant. Liz had a good reason for staying mum and tells her that, "I may be pregnant with your brother's baby". Elizabeth spilled about the affair with Jason, and Emily urged her pal to tell Jason the baby could be his. Later, Liz gave Jason a call (while Lorenzo eavesdropped) and wanted to meet him. Later, Emily went to visit her brother and Jason asked Em if he knew why Liz seemed upset? Emily didn't spill the secret and when Liz eventually arrived, she informed Jason herself that she told Emily about their affair. While discussing their night of passion again, Jason asked Elizabeth, what if the baby she was carrying was his? 

Elizabeth and Jason talk at his apartment. He asks her if he could be the father of her baby? Elizabeth tells him he could be and she is waiting for a paternity test to reveal who the father is. Jason sits and listens as Elizabeth confides in him about her problems with Lucky and how she doesn't really know what to do. Jason asks her if she could take Lucky back if he does get better and kicks the drug addiction. Elizabeth thinks that drug addicts can't be trusted not to lapse and go back to the drug they got addicted to and she doesn't know if she wants to take him back. Jason doesn't have a solution. Elizabeth feels that she put Lucky's needs ahead of her own son's when she sent Cameron to go live with her grandmother for a month and that she can't do that now. She tells him that Lucky couldn't seem to get help for Cameron and herself but is willing to do this because he thinks he is going to be a father. Jason tells her he will help her in any way he can but feels she and her children will get through this rough time. 

Elizabeth goes back to work. She seems very preoccupied when Epiphany approaches her and notices she made a mistake with the patients' medication. Elizabeth apologizes and Epiphany thinks she needs to do her job correctly with no excuses. She suggests she take a break and also to tell a certain someone she could be carrying his child, meaning Jason. Carly happens to walk by and overhears Elizabeth tell Epiphany that she already told Jason that he could be the father of her baby. Carly is shocked by what she hears and goes right over to Jason's place. Jason is right in the middle of a meeting with Bernie. Bernie is hesitant to involve Sonny in what is going on with Alcazar. Jason reminds him that this is Sonny's business and he makes the final decision. Carly barges right in and insists she needs to talk to Jason alone immediately. Bernie decides to leave right away. Carly confronted Jason whether he is the father of Elizabeth's baby? Jason asked her to stay quiet about it right now. Carly wanted him to be careful and not to make any promises he can't keep. She wanted to know how he was going to handle Sam, because this would break her heart. He told her he was going to tell Sam the truth. He told her they were making progress, but Sam made a decision to be with her family. He told her that if the baby is his, Elizabeth doesn't expect anything, but he will take care of her and the baby. Carly just asked him to think about himself for a change, not everyone else. 

Jason called Elizabeth over to tell her that he wanted to do the right thing if the baby is his, he wanted to marry her. Liz suggests that he should at least wait to be sure the baby is his. She tells him that even if the baby is his that he isn't obligated to take care of the baby, of her, and for Cameron for the rest of his life. She asks if this would be a marriage of convenience? Would they be roommates or a couple? She asks if he has thought about this? He tells her they get along very well and she would be easy to live with, and she would be a good mom and he would be a good dad. She tells him that she is still in love with Lucky and he is still in love with Sam and getting married when they are both in love with other people would be a huge mistake. Jason admits that he misses Sam and their life together but he can't forget that she slept with Ric and Sam can' forget that he slept with Elizabeth. He comments that Sam says that it is like the Grand Canyon, you can stand on the edge and see the other side but it is impossible to get there. Elizabeth points out that people cross the Grand Canyon all the time and that while it may be dangerous and difficult it is possible. Jason asks Elizabeth what she is going to do if the baby is his and he and Sam get back together. She tells him that she is going to do exactly what she plans to do if the baby is not his, which is to raise Cameron and the baby by herself with the support of her family and friends. Jason tells Liz that if the baby is his he wants to support it. Liz tells Jason they will deal which that if they have to. Liz says goodbye to Jason and tells him she is going to schedule the paternity test and that she will let him know when it is and when she gets the results. 

Robin goes to see Jason for advice on what to do about Alcazar. Jason warns Robin that Alcazar is more dangerous now than ever before. Robin is worried that just when she gets her father back she will lose him again. Robin tells Jason that she thought she was doing everything right in her life but lately she feels like everything is falling apart. She expresses her concern over Patrick's exposure to HIV and how it is affecting her. Jason comments that Patrick seems to make Robin happy. Robin acknowledges that she is happy but that she feels like she is walking on eggshells waiting for it all to end. Jason tells Robin that when you find someone who makes you happy like that you should hold on to it. Robin advises Jason that he needs to take his own advice. 

Liz is sitting on the docks crying while Lucky is sitting in front of Audrey's staring at his wedding ring and Jason is walking around his apartment during a montage scene. Elizabeth calls Kelly Lee and arranges to have the paternity test done on Friday, October 13th and Kelly tells her the results will be in a week later on October 20th. Kelly apologizes that it will take so long but Elizabeth reassures her that it is okay because she just needs to find out if Lucky or Jason is the father of her baby. As Liz makes this comment Ric walks up and overhears her. Ric asks Elizabeth if she is pregnant? He comments that he wasn't eavesdropping he just overheard her on the phone scheduling an ultrasound appointment. He congratulates Elizabeth and says that he knows that she and Lucky have been having problems and says this may be the thing that turns around his life. As Ric is talking, LIz starts to walk away and Ric reaches out to stop her. Jason suddenly appears and grabs Ric and slams him up against the wall. Ric is surprised at Jason's over reaction and asks why he is acting so crazy. 

Jason warns Ric to stay away from Liz. Ric told him that he was crazy and that he was just talking to Liz about her pregnancy, and was offering his help. Liz broke the two apart, and after Ric left, she told Jason that he needed to calm down. He let her know of his frustration and that he didn't trust Ric. Liz asked Jason to give him some space until the paternity of the child was confirmed. At the hospital, Liz overheard Maxie very loudly discuss with Kelly her pregnancy, and automatically deduced that the child was Lucky's. Obviously upset about hearing this news, she decided to go home. When she got back to Audrey's Lucky was there waiting for her. She told him that he should return to rehab, and he let her know that he needed to tell her something. She let it out that she knew that Maxie was pregnant, and that it was the last straw. She let him know that it changed everything, and he let her know that it would be signing the divorce papers that would change everything. She told him that if he loved her, he would sign the documents, and he vowed he would never to do it. Jason arrived at Sonny's while Carly and Jax were in the living room. Carly told Jason of her frustrations of Sonny interfering in her life, and that she needed to have some private time with Jax. She asked Jason to take Michael and Morgan back to his place. Jason let her know that he would stay there to protect the boys, and he was not leaving. With that, Carly decided to go to the hotel with Jax. 

Ric and Sam support Alexis as she begins her treatment. Feeling awkward, Sam leaves Ric and Alexis to meet Jason. Sam tells Jason she can't stay away from him despite her promise to Alexis. Jason declares his love for Sam. Sam realizes Elizabeth could be carrying Jason's child. Sam tells Jason that she is tired of doing what Alexis wants her to do and she wants to get back with Jason. Jason tells her about Elizabeth's pregnancy and how there is a chance he could be the baby's father. Sam is devastated by this news and asks Jason how he could do this and asks him why he didn't use protection. Jason tells her about the faulty condoms. Sam ends up going to see Nikolas. Nikolas is lying on the couch with his leg elevated. Sam brings by the trust that Alexis set up for the girls for him to look at. Spencer starts fussing to be picked up. Nikolas calls to Colleen to come get him but Sam offers to pick him up and hold him. Nikolas notices something is bothering her. Sam ends up blurting out that Elizabeth could be carrying Jason's baby. Nikolas is surprised by that piece of news. Sam tells him she just found out and can't believe some other woman is having the baby she wanted to have with Jason. Nikolas tells Sam that Elizabeth's behavior is now starting to make sense and that he now knows why Elizabeth didn't want Lucky to find out about the pregnancy. Sam realizes who she just told and that he could tell Lucky. Nikolas assures her that he has no plans to let Lucky know since he will use any excuse to start using pills again. 

Jason ends up at Sonny's house. Sonny had returned home from his trip to Puerto Rico and Carly had gone there earlier to pick up the boys and tell Sonny off for playing games with her. She tells him that she owes him a favor because he made her realize how much she can live without him and is comfortable in her own home now, which is almost fixed up. Jason is distracted by his conversation with Sam earlier and Sonny picks up on it. Jason tells Sonny that Bernie is having a hard time trying to figure out who is actually in charge of the business. Sonny and Jason come to an agreement that Sonny is the boss and that he has the final say on any business decisions. Sonny then asks Jason what else happened while he was gone. Jason tells him about his one-night with Elizabeth and how he could be the father of her baby. Jason doesn't know what he wants to do but that if he is the baby's father he is going to take care of both Elizabeth and their baby. Sonny asks him if that would mean he would lose Sam in the process? Jason doesn't know what will happen but that Sam was very upset when he told her. Sam runs into Elizabeth on the docks. Sam congratulates Elizabeth on her pregnancy but there is no smile or sincerity in her voice. Jason goes to see Nikolas and asks him if he has seen Sam. Nikolas doesn't say it out loud what he knows but hints at the fact that Sam told him about Jason possibly being the baby's father and that she was very upset by it. 

Jason responded to Nikolas's summons to Wyndemere to discuss Sam's determination to keep Ric away from Kristina and Molly if Alexis dies. Nik wondered why Sam was so opposed to Ric raising his own child. Jason kept mum and left. Sam accused Elizabeth of wanting her baby to be Jason's. Liz defended her one-night stand with Jason, pointing out that he and Sam were broken up at the time. She also threw Sam's one-nighter with Ric in her face. Jason walked up and ordered the women to cool down. Ms. McCall maintained Liz's pregnancy was a little too "convenient" and departed in a huff. Carly ran into Jason, who told her about his baby drama. Carly believed Liz was carrying Jason's baby. She sympathized with Sam and said she'd like to rip Liz's hair out. Jax put an end to their chat and escorted Carly to their date. At the penthouse, Jason found a weepy Sam sitting in the dark with a mobile. She lamented the loss of her child as Liz prepared to undergo a paternity test. 

Elizabeth and Kelly Lee are at General Hospital discussing the paternity test that Kelly just administered. Kelly tells Elizabeth the results will take a few days. As they are talking Lulu comes storming up and accuses Elizabeth of abandoning Luck when he needs her the most. Lulu cannot understand why Elizabeth won't try to work things out with Lucky, if nothing else for Cameron and the baby. Elizabeth feels that the baby can't be the reason that Lucky gets sober and that he must make that change or himself and no one else. She tells Lulu that she still loves Lucky and she always will but she just can't be with him anymore. Lulu is surprised because she assumed Elizabeth was trying to punish Lucky for his betrayal with Maxie. Lulu is reassured when Elizabeth tells her that Lucky will be involved in the baby's life as long as he is sober. Lulu and Elizabeth make up and share a hug. After Lulu leaves Kelly Lee advises Elizabeth that even though she has a DNA sample from Jason, she needs him to sign a release before she can process the paternity test. Elizabeth tells Kelly that it will be easy to get a signature from Jason, then she ruefully comments that the only thing that will be easy is if Lucky is the baby's father. 

Sam confronts Jason in what was to be her little girl's nursery in Jason's penthouse. Sam is crying and demands to know how Jason could continually deny her a child and then give one to Elizabeth. Jason tries to defend himself and tells Elizabeth that he did not mean for it to happen. Sam wonders if Jason will want to raise the baby with Elizabeth if it is his child. She correctly guesses that Jason has probably already asked Elizabeth to marry him. When Jason admits that he ahs asked Elizabeth to marry him, Sam concedes that she wouldn't love Jason if he were willing to walk away from a child. Jason tells Sam that Elizabeth said she could not marry him when they were both in love with other people. Sam asks Jason if he really loves her and Jason tells her that he has never stopped loving Sam and he just wants things to go back to the way they were. Sam reminds Jason that they can't change what has happened and that she is watching Elizabeth get everything that she ever wanted while she is already a memory to Jason. 

Ric calls Det. Rodriguez to talk about the surveillance. Det. Rodriguez excitedly informs Ric that they just got a solid line into Jason's apartment. Ric is glad to hear this because he wants to get whatever he can on Jason so he can indict him and bring him and Sonny down. Ric and Det. Rodriguez listen into the tap in Jason's apartment and eavesdrop on Elizabeth and Jason talking about Lucky's addiction and how he got Maxie pregnant. They are both shocked to hear this and wonder why Elizabeth would be sharing all of this with Jason. Just then Elizabeth asks Jason what will happen is he is her baby's father. Sam pays Sonny a visit and cuts right to the chase when she asks him if their baby had lived if he could have let Jason raise her. 

Sam tells Sonny that she doesn't think that either she or Jason will be able to get past this. Sonny tries to get Sam to calm down and tells her she needs a break from everything she is dealing with. Sam doesn't think she can take a break, she feels like her entire life changed the night she was shot at the Metro Court. Sonny advises Sam to figure out what she wants and what she can live with. Sam considers this advice and tells Sonny that she loves Jason and she always will so she is going to fight for him. 

Carly came barging into Jason's apartment, demanding that he just be happy about the choices she made, and to not lecture her. When he claimed that he did not know what she was talking about, Carly was surprised that Sonny did not tell him that she was engaged to Jax. Carly let Jason know how happy she was, and that she wanted him to be her "best person", standing next to her when she got married. At first, Jason did not want the honor, but when, she let him know how important it was, he agreed. With that, she announced that she was extremely happy, and that now, she was going to get him back together with Sam. She felt that he choosing to be with Elizabeth because of the baby was wrong because he would never be happy without Sam. He asked her to mind her own business, and that he would make the necessary choices. Next, Sonny barged in to let Jason know about Carly's engagement to Jax, and that he should do whatever necessary to stop it. 

At the hospital, Elizabeth got a call from Lucky, inquiring about how she was feeling? While they were talking, Sam walked out of the elevator. Elizabeth let Lucky know about the sonogram, and that her morning sickness was contained to the morning now. Lucky ended the call letting her know that he had a session to go to, and Elizabeth let him know that she was glad that he was getting better. Afterwards, Sam apologized to Elizabeth for being so harsh to her yesterday, after hearing the news of her pregnancy. Elizabeth was sympathetic, saying that she would have probably reacted the same way if she had been in a similar situation. She also let Sam know that she hoped that the baby was Lucky's, to which Sam agreed to, and asked shouldn't Lucky know regardless of the paternity test. Garcia and Ric were talking, where Ric was adamant that the information that they got from the bug at Jason's apartment not be used. He did not want it to come out, that Elizabeth could be pregnant with Jason's baby. Garcia felt that this was personal feelings coming into a situation where it was unwarranted. Ric let him know that he wanted Jason arrested and convicted as soon as possible to protect Elizabeth. Garcia came by GH and told Elizabeth in confidence that he and Rick had overheard the conversation she had with Jason at his apartment and of the possibility of Jason being the father of her child. Elizabeth fretted that Ric will tell Lucky about her pregnancy. Cruz noted that Ric destroyed all records of the surveillance, so he suggested she tell Lucky herself first. At that very moment, Ric was chatting with Lucky about Liz. Ric offered Lucky his job back for Liz's sake as long as he stays clean. 

On the docks, Sam said she's game to make a go of it again. Jason admits that If he's the father of Liz's baby, that he wants to "participate" in the child's life. She's cool with that, but wondered if Jason can let Liz be a single mom? Suddenly, Jason got a call from Lucky that he says is about Liz. Lucky told Jason he wanted to make amends, and apologized "completely." Lucky said he's glad Liz turned to him. Jason says that if Lucky needs him to say that he forgives him that he does. Lucky mentioned that Ric stopped by with a job offer, making Jason suspicious. Liz went to Jason's place and told him his penthouse is bugged, so now Ric knows Jason may be the father of her baby. 

Sam walked into Alexis', and Ric blasted her for not being available to her mother. Outside, Carly warned Sam to spend more time with Jason before Liz steals him away. Ric overheard Carly mention Liz as he approached. Sam mentions picking up Alexis' new medication. Ric asks about the new medication since it is the first time he has heard about it. Carly tells him that she had to call Alexis' doctor and have him prescribe a different kind of anti-nausea medication because Alexis responded poorly to the other one. Alexis congratulates Carly and Jax again and they thank her and leave. Ric starts trying to dote on Alexis after they leave. Alexis tells them she hasn't eaten anything all day because she has been too nauseous all day. Sam offers to go and make her something to eat. Alexis isn't in the mood for any food. Sam offers to go and get some groceries and pick up her prescription for her. 

Ric asks Sam if she could stay the rest of the evening with Alexis? Alexis can't believe he is going somewhere this evening. Ric tells her he has business to take care of tonight. Ric leaves. Sam is afraid to leave Alexis alone while she goes and runs those errands for her. Alexis tells her that she can leave for awhile and she will be okay. Sam and Alexis end up discussing Jax. Sam is surprised that Alexis was so nice to Carly since she didn't think she liked her at all. Alexis tells her that Jax is happy with Carly so she will support that. Sam tells her that her own relationship with Jax was not meant to be long-term. Alexis realizes that the two of them have been with two of the same men, Jax and Sonny, except that Jax and her were just friends. Alexis makes Sam feel very uncomfortable when she points out that you could kind of say their relationships with the two men are sort of incestuous in a way. 

Elizabeth and Jason talk about what Ric knows about their conversation and how he is using it. Jason tells Elizabeth that Ric is playing her to get to him. He tells her that Ric went to visit Lucky earlier today and promised to get him re-instated in the police department after he finishes rehab. Elizabeth panics when she fears that Ric may have told Lucky that Jason could be the father of her baby. She tells Jason that Ric never mentioned visiting Lucky when he took her out to lunch today. Jason doesn't think Ric told Lucky anything but can't be sure he won't in the future. Elizabeth doesn't think Ric is trying to hurt her since he has always been nice to her since their divorce. Jason decides to walk Elizabeth outside to get a cab for her. She tells him in the elevator on the way down that she is going to visit Lucky before she goes home. They enter the parking garage and find Ric there. Ric asks Elizabeth what she is doing there. Elizabeth makes up some story about how she came to talk to Jason about an issue that concerned Emily. Elizabeth tells Jason she will be fine going outside alone to get her own cab. 

Jason asks Ric what he wants with him and that he has no business being there unless he has official police business to discuss with him. Ric tells him to stay away from Elizabeth. Jason refuses to do anything he tells him. Ric brings up Sam to push Jason's buttons. It works and Jason plays right into his hands after Ric accuses Sam of being nothing more than a hooker anyway after he tells him that Sam was no innocent person he slept with. Jason grabs Ric and knocks him against his car. He starts beating him and throws him to the ground and kicks him several times in the face and ribs. Sonny shows up and gets him to stop before he actually kills Ric. Sonny has one of his men take Ric to the hospital and not to say anything other than he found him on the street like that. Sonny takes Jason back to his place to talk to him and figure out a way to cover it up. Jason refuses to leave the country until he finds out for sure if he is the father of Elizabeth's baby. Sonny tells Jason that he was not thinking when he beat up Ric and that he played right into Ric's hands by letting him get to him. Sonny believes that he was sent there for a reason and that he probably figured he would be there to stop Jason from actually killing him. Sam asks Elizabeth to meet her at Kelly's. Sam tells Elizabeth that she believes Jason will want to be part of the child's life if he turns out to be the father and that she intends to fight for Jason for herself regardless of what happens. Ric tells Detective Rodriguez that he wants Jason charged with attempted murder because he was the one who beat him up. 

Sonny asked Elizabeth over to tell her that Jason had to go out of town and he asked that he keep in touch with her. She told him she should know by the end of the day who's the father of the baby. She told Sonny that she was glad Jason had someone to talk to because usually he is the one supporting everyone else. That is why she went to him the night of the blackout. She just needed someone to talk to, she never meant for it to be more than that. She told Sonny that if Jason is the father, it will push Lucky over the edge. Sonny told her if Lucky goes back on drugs it is on him, not her. She said so many people already know, including Ric, that she doesn't know if she can keep it from him much longer. Sonny told her that is why Jason left town last night after he almost killed Rick. Elizabeth told him she left them together in the garage last night and there was tension, but no one was out of control. Sonny told her that is what Rick wanted her to think, but then he told Jason that Sam was a slut, she was the one that begged him to have sex and Jason went off on him. He had to pull Jason off of him when he showed up. They were interrupted by Det. Cruz and some police officers looking for Jason. Sonny said he would show them around, but Jason wasn't there. Cruz warned Elizabeth that she doesn't want to be caught in a war between Jason and Ric and to do what is best for her baby and get out of the way before they both get hurt. 

Elizabeth went to see Ric. She asked him what happened? He told her that Jason decided to take out some of his anger on him. She told him he wouldn't attack someone without a reason. Ric said he didn't like the questions he was asking. He told her he knows that she is friends with Jason, but he is not the man she thinks he is. She told him that he wasn't either. He said he deserved that. He said the difference is that he chose to change and turn my life around. He told her that Jason is a danger to himself and everyone around him; once he is in prison he won't be able to hurt her. She informed him that Jason would never do anything to hurt her. He told her not intentionally, but look at how he has hurt Sam. She told him it would be better for everyone if he would drop the charges because Sam is going to get hurt too. He told her that her compassion is misguided, Jason is a cold blooded killer and he is not going to let him get away this time. He told her she didn't need the stress of worrying about Jason; she has the baby to think about. 

Sonny came to see Ric and Ric told him that he was not going to drop the charges. Sonny told him he didn't have any witnesses. Ric told him that the judge would believe the D.A. over a Mob Enforcer. Sonny asked how his image was going to hold up when Jason tells them that he slept with his wife's daughter. Ric told him he wouldn't do that to Sam. He said he has everything he needs to put Jason away thanks to him. Sonny told him he was thanking him a little too soon. Sonny told Ric to drop the charges on Jason or he will go to Alexis and tell her that he slept with Sam. Rick told him that he is bluffing right when Alexis walks in. Sonny told her it was about time she heard what her husband has been up to. Alexis tells Sonny and Ric that she knows they are talking about Jason and she implores Ric to drop the charges against Ric because they won't stick. She questions Ric about what happened with Jason and Ric tells her his version of what happened. She then asks Sonny what he saw as an eyewitness? Sonny tells Ric and Alexis that he did not see Jason touch Ric at all. Ric is furious and asks Sonny if he is implying that Ric beat himself up. Alexis tells Ric to drop the charges again. She points out that it is his word against Sonny and Jason's and that he has no forensic evidence or witnesses. Sonny threatens Ric and tells him that if he keeps pushing the issue, then he is going to get hurt. Ric very reluctantly agrees to drop the charges. 

Kelly Lee gives Elizabeth her paternity test results which are in a sealed envelope. Elizabeth goes outside and opens the envelope and just as she opens the envelope a very pregnant woman appears and tells Elizabeth she is in labor and needs help. Elizabeth is back inside General Hospital and she runs into Sonny. She tells Sonny about how she lost the test results. Elizabeth and Sonny are discussing the pros and cons of both Jason and Lucky being the father of the baby. Elizabeth feels Jason would be a great father. She says the Lucky she married was also a wonderful father but he is a different person that the Lucky she knows now. Sonny points out that he is trying to get better and if he does he will be a great father again. Sonny and Elizabeth go back outside to look for the results and they find the paper in the bushes. Sonny picks up the paternity results and hands them to Elizabeth. He asked if she would like some privacy, and she let him know that it was alright. After she read the paternity test results, she let Sonny know that it was what she had expected and that it was for the best. Sonny assumed that the father was Lucky and let her know that it was for the best because Jason was not ready to be a father, or to take care of a family. He reminded Liz that Jason's responsibilities were very dangerous, and that it would be hard to have a family with the life he leads. She understood, and said that she knew that she would have to give both of her children the love and support they needed. Sonny told her that he hoped that eventually her and Lucky would patch things up and get back together. She let him know that she would do whatever was best for her children. 

Outside the hospital, Elizabeth was leaving a message to Jason regarding the paternity test, when Ric came by and told her that his marriage to Alexis was ending. She was sorry about what he was going through and he commented on how they both were going through the same thing at the same time. When Liz tried to say that maybe the stress of Alexis' illness was keeping them apart, he let her know that it wasn't the case, and that it was more that they had settled for each other since neither one of them got over the true person they loved. Jason visited Alexis, who told him she knew about Ric having sex with Sam, just as Sam and Kristina returned from Disney World. Jason filled Sam in about beating Ric and Alexis getting the charges dropped. Alexis dismissed Jason and the girls finally had at it. Sam was remorseful but she blamed Alexis for putting her on the path to adultery. "I will not allow you to make this my fault,' Alexis huffed. "Whose really done the most damage here, Mom?" Sam replied. Sam called Alexis on the carpet for her manipulations, then walked out and broke down in tears. 

Carly saw Elizabeth working at the hospital and assumed that, by her matter-of-factness, Lucky was the father. She hightailed it to Jason's penthouse, where he demanded to know what was wrong. She told him Liz's baby was sired by Lucky. Jason responded that Alexis knows about Ric and Sam. Carly was stunned at her sympathy for Alexis and advised Jason to rush to Sam and tell her that he's not the father of Liz's baby. Liz went to Jason's and said he knows Lucky's the father of her baby. He said he'd always be there for her and they'd always be friends. "Did it turn out the way you wanted?" Liz asked. Sam's arrival interrupted the exchange. Sam finds Elizabeth talking to him and asks Elizabeth if she got the paternity test results back yet? Jason tells her that Lucky is the baby's father. Elizabeth thanks Jason and they agree to remain friends. After Elizabeth leaves, Sam asks Jason if he is disappointed. Jason hides his disappointment and tells Sam that it is best for everyone that Lucky is the father. Sam tells him about her talk with Alexis. She tells him that Alexis wants nothing to do with her. Jason tells her that he doesn't usually defend Alexis but that he can understand how hurt she would be over what happened and that she may need more time to forgive her. Jason tells Sam about why he beat up Ric, because he said some very negative things about her and was setting him up to beat him up so that Sonny would come and stop him. 

Sonny shows up and tells Sam and Jason that Ric is out to get them all. Jason gets a call from Bernie, who informs him that the police are raiding their offices on the docks but that he made sure that no incriminating evidence was around for them to find. Sonny thanks Bernie for all his help. Sonny hears about Sam's talk with Alexis and upsets Sam when he tells her that she should ask Alexis for forgiveness and act remorseful for a change about it. Carly calls Sam on her cell-phone and tells her that Alexis has been admitted to the hospital. Before Sam arrives, Carly tries to convince Alexis to forgive Sam. Carly points out that Bobbie forgave her when she slept with Tony. Sam isn't sure Alexis will want to see her but goes there anyway. Sam arrives at Alexis' room and Alexis is surprised she is there. She asks Alexis if she even is happy she is there to see her? Alexis isn't sure she can forgive Sam right now, she is too hurt, too tired, too sick. She also thinks it may be too late for them to be mother and daughter after all they have done and said to each other and thinks it would be best if they stay out of each other's lives. Sam decides to abide by Alexis' wishes. 

Sonny and Jason talk to Bernie on the docks and then talk alone about the paternity test. Jason admits that he was a little disappointed that he didn't turn out to be the father but thinks it is for the best because Lucky is getting better and he would be better for the baby and wouldn't be putting the baby in danger like he would. Sam shows up and listens as Sonny asks Jason if he can forgive Sam and take her back now? Meanwhile, Elizabeth looks at the paternity results and burns them with a lighter. 

#13B  Sonny asks Jason if he wants to get back with Sam, if he could forget about her sleeping with Ric? Sam was listening, and then her phone rang, letting Sonny and Jason know she was there. It was Viola calling to tell her that Ric took Molly. Sam told Sonny and Jason and they all went to Ric's place to get Molly. Sonny told him that he doesn't want Molly to grow up without a mother. Ric willingly handed Molly over to Sam. Sonny asked him if he really wanted to go down this road? Ric told him that he wanted his daughter; he didn't see how it was any different than Sonny. Sonny said he didn't have twisted motives and not to compare them. Ric told him that Alexis favors Christina over Molly and he knows what that was like growing up, he doesn't want that for his daughter. Sonny told him that once Alexis is cancer free and he wants to deal with it then so be it, but not now. 

Sam took Molly to the hospital to see Alexis. Alexis thanked her for bringing her by and asked if she can impose on her one more time to take her to the house for Viola to watch her. She told Sam that she thought that Sam was going to move out. Sam told her she only had a few more things to pack. Alexis asked that she talk to Christina since she hasn't had a chance to talk to her yet? Sam said she will make it quick and easy. Sam is packing at the house and Christina asked her where she was going? Sam told her she was a big girl and it was time to get a place of her own. Christina asked if she would see her again. Sam told her of course. They will still do all the cool things they always do. Christina told her she loved her and gave her a hug. As Sam is walking out of the house, Jason came and asked her if she needed help with her bags? She apologized for eavesdropping on him and Sonny. He asked her what she heard? She said that Sonny asked him if he could ever get over that she slept with Ric. He told her that he would have said that he wants them to both get past it. She told him that she has got to start living a life for herself. She is going to go back to work at the police station. He told her that she would have to deal with Ric and she said that he didn't scare her. She is going to get her life back and she wants him in it. Sonny and Jason are talking about Ric when Jason asked him how far he is he going to allow Ric to push before he pushes back? 

Ric barges into Lorenzo's and he is trying to hold on to his daughter and Lorenzo is going to help him. Ric told him the stakes are much bigger now that the kids are involved. If he found a way to hurt Sam, then Sonny and Jason would be a domino affect and then he gave Lorenzo a USB drive and told him that you can make lies appear to be the truth. Ric has Alcazar brought into he DA's office. They discuss how Lorenzo's computer guy is loading a flash drive with incriminating evidence against Sonny and Jason at that very moment. Ric and Sonny discuss their plans to bring Sonny and Jason down. Ric then reveals that he plans to set Sam up for stealing the incriminating evidence against Jason and Sonny through her job at the PCPD. Ric tells Lorenzo that when Jason comes after Sam to rescue her, he will make sure that he gets shot for resisting arrest. 

Sam tells Jason that she is going to go back to work at the PCPD. Jason doesn't like this plan and warns Sam that she needs to watch her back around Ric. Sam says she knows she has to be careful around Ric, but she refuses to let Ric intimidate her or control her life. Sam tells Jason that she called Mike and got her old room at Kelly's back. Jason wants to help Sam out financially so she won't have to stay there, but Sam makes it clear to Jason that while she appreciates the offer, she wants to make it on her own. Sam feels like she made Jason her entire life and when he rejected her and pushed her away she spun out of control. Sam vow never to let that happen again. She wants to get to know herself and take care of herself. 

Jason runs into an obviously upset Elizabeth on the docks. He asks if she is ok and she tells him that today is her first anniversary. Elizabeth tells Jason she feels like such a failure because her marriage fell apart, Lucky got hooked on pain pills and had an affair. She says she doesn't even know if Lucky remembers that today is their anniversary. Jason visits Alexis at the hospital and he asks her if she can forgive Sam? Alexis turns it around and asks Jason if he can forgive her? Jason tells Alexis that he is trying to because he wants a life with Sam. As Jason is telling Alexis this, Elizabeth is standing at the door and overhears. 

Sam is back at work at the PCPD where she has a run in with Ric. He demands to know what she is doing there and he warns her that she had better watch her insubordination and he threatens to have her moved to the sanitation department. Sam doesn't let Ric intimidate her and comes back at him with a threat of sexual harassment charges before she walks away. After Sam is gone, one of Lorenzo's men approaches Ric and hands him a package which contains the flash drive. Ric later plants the flash drive in a box of evidence that was brought in from Sonny's warehouse. Mac and Sam have a conversation at the PCPD and he reminds Sam that he is her boss and that because of her relationship with Jason she poses a security risk. Mac reminds Sam of the file that disappeared before she went on her personal leave. He warns Sam that this better not happen again in the future. 

Cruz showed Ric an encoded flash drive found in evidence. Ric took possession of all the evidence for "safe keeping," but stole the flash drive from the box in the interview room. Sam, who insisted on leaving for her date with Jason, fled just as Cruz appeared and told Ric the flash drive had disappeared. Ric ordered Cruz to search Sam's place while he got a warrant. Cruz reported to Ric that he found a flash drive in Sam's room. Ric goes over all of the charges that Sam will be facing with this evidence against her. 

Emily helps Jason decorate the roof for Jason's dinner with Sam, with lights, a candlelit table, creating a very romantic setting. Sam showed up at Jason's and is very impressed and tells him it is perfect. The talk about their past, and he tells her that his life before he met her was pretty empty and when she moved in, she showed him how to live, that she changed him and he will never forget that. They raise their glasses to each other. They ate ginger chicken, his favorite but he resisted the sushi saying that he liked his food cooked. She talked him into taking a bit of the sushi and he shakes his head and tells her that it was horrible. But she is happy he tried it so he says it was worth it. They dance togetther in the moonlight and he wraps his arms around her and she melts into him. He kisses her softly on the side of her face. She thanks him for creating this night and tells him that she couldn't have asked for anything more. Just as he leans in to kiss her, a police officer enters the roof and arrests Sam. 

The next morning, Sam demands her phone call. Ric is laying out his case against Sam and tells her she is facing some very serious charges. While she demands to see Jason, he tells her that the court will hear the case and find her guilty of stealing evidence from the police station. On the dock, Jason is making arrangements to get Sam the best lawyer possible, when Liz came by. He let her know that Ric had Sam arrested on bogus charges, and that a lot of his vengeance had to do with the fact the two of them slept together, and that he could have been the father of Liz's baby. She becomes worried of what Ric is capable of, and Jason hugs her to console her. Throughout their conversation, someone is taking pictures of the two of them. Jason came by the police station to visit Sam, and encouraged her to be strong. He reminded her that Ric would do whatever necessary to break her, and that she shouldn't worry because he would take care of everything. Ric finally broke up their meeting, and shared the pictures of Liz and Jason with Sam. He tried to convince her that all Jason wanted was to get Sam out of the way, so that he could be with Liz. Sam had difficulty buying his story, and in a moment of rage, hit Ric with a metal chair and ran out of the room. Detective Garza saw her, and lets her go, because he believed that Ric is out of control and responsible for planting the evidence against her. 

Jason heads over and fills Sonny in on Ric's latest move. Jason wants to break Sam out of jail. Sonny stops him and tells him that tells him that is what Ric wants, so he will have an excuse to kill Jason. Sonny tells Jason that it makes Ric insane that Jason slept with Elizabeth. Sonny met with Ric at the police station. Sonny is willing to give up visitation rights to Kristina, if Alexis would give up custody of her youngest daughter to Rick. He reminded Ric that Alexis would be willing to do almost anything to avoid Sonny's influence over their daughter, and would Ric be willing to give up on vengeance against Sam, Sonny and Jason for his daughter? 

On the run, Sam got to the roof, and heard the police coming up. She locked the door, and tried to figure out a way to escape. As she was navigating the edge, she slipped and to save herself, she held on the edge. As she was trying to get back up on the edge, Jason held her hands to save her. Jason helps pull Sam off the ledge of the building. He helps her onto the roof and they head over to the corner while the police are in hot pursuit of them. Two cops come out onto the roof the next building and call out to Sam to surrender. Jason takes out his gun and gives Sam his back-up gun for protection. They keep hiding and plan on shooting at the cops while Sam takes cover near the door to the building. Jason shoots wide to miss the cops but to protect Sam as she dives for the door. She gets the door open and then shoots at the cops so Jason can join her near the door. One of the cops asks where his back-up is and radios in that he is in danger of losing Sam and Jason as they flee. Ric shows up at the hospital to see Elizabeth. He asks her if Jason has contacted her? Elizabeth tells him he hasn't. Ric tells her that he has had Jason under surveillance for quite awhile and that he has a picture of her and Jason that implies that they are more than just friends. Elizabeth denies they are more than friends and that she plans on reconciling with Lucky. He shows her the picture anyway. Ric tells her that Jason helped Sam escape from jail and that they are on the run. He warns her not to help Jason and to contact him if Jason calls her. Elizabeth tells him that Jason won't call her. 

Jason takes Sam to a room he rents out to hide out. They run into a fellow tenant, an older woman who complains to Jason about how she has lived there for 6 months and has never seen him before. Jason makes up some story about how he works somewhere in Toronto and is hardly home. Sam hides that she has handcuffs by draping a shirt over her arm. Jason tries to hide Sam's face as much as possible and tells the older tenant that Sam has the flu and doesn't want to breathe on anyone. The woman suggests she get inside and get some rest and stay warm. The woman also complains that the plumbing in his room is causing water to leak into her apartment which is right below his room. Jason promises to take care of that and heads into the room with Sam. Jason takes out a pick to help unlock Sam's handcuffs. He asks Sam why she didn't wait for him to help get her out of jail. Sam tells him that Ric showed her a picture taken earlier today that showed Jason holding Elizabeth and that she let Ric get to her and she reacted badly. Jason assures her that Elizabeth is just his friend and that any future they may have had together ended when he found out he wasn't the father of her baby. He tells her he thinks that Elizabeth is the person that is driving Ric to do what he is doing and explains that Ric has no incriminating evidence against Sonny and him on some zip drive and that he is trying to set her up to get to them. Jason starts to feel close to Sam again and the two almost kiss. Sam pulls back and tells Jason she needs to take a shower then they will talk. Jason tells Sam that she is the only woman he wants to be close to and he hopes they can work things out. Sam is still reluctant to get close to Jason but he grabs her and kisses her. Their kiss is interrupted when they overhear the older woman outside in the hall telling the cops that she is certain that Sam is the woman she saw on the news. 

Jason opened the door to his nosy neighbor, who mistakenly thought Sam might be someone she knew called "Cookie." Jason gets rid of her quickly. Stan arrived with fake IDs, and Jason was eager to get on the road for Canada then Costa Rica, but Sam decided to stay and fight the corrupt Ric. Alexis announced that she's back on the job as of today. Sam and Jason took a risk by contacting Cruz to ask what evidence Ric has? Cruz didn't know what was on the flash drive, but noted that it disappeared just after Ric had left, and that Ric had met privately with Alcazar. Suddenly, Ric showed up, so Cruz and Jason drew on each other. Ric grabs the gun and shoots at Jason, but he misses and Jason and Sam escape. Ric is furious with Rodriguez for letting them get away and he demands to know which side Rodriguez is on. Sam and Jason sneak into Lorenzo's house and are trying to find something about the flash drive on Lorenzo's laptop when they hear Skye and Lorenzo coming in. They hide behind the couch as Lorenzo realizes that his computer has been touched. He picks up the phone and advises the person on the other end to tell the guards to keep an eye on things and keep him informed about what is going on with Jason and Sam. Skye brings baby Lila Rae downstairs and Lorenzo holds her and vows to be a good father the second time around. Lorenzo and Skye go into the kitchen to make a snack leaving the baby in the living room but taking the baby monitor with them. As soon as they leave Jason and Sam come out of hiding and Jason tries to find something on the laptop. Baby Lila Rae starts to cry Jason tells Sam to pick the baby up. Sam picks up the baby and rocks her and coos at her. As Jason was trying to send documents to Stan, Sam froze while holding Lila Rae. She asked for help and Jason took the baby from her. As he was holding the baby, Skye came in, and she let them go without letting Lorenzo know that they were there. 

At Metrocourt, Jason and Sam were the ones who had used the key to get into the room. They discussed their next steps, and Sam wondered if they got enough information from Lorenzo's computer. She apologized for freezing up while holding the baby, and Jason was understanding that the death of her baby's two year anniversary was coming up. Carly came by to give her support with a first aid kit and money. She offered to help anyway she could, and Jason sent her home letting her know that she needed to stay out of the situation. When they were alone, they reminisced about the night that Sam's baby died. Jason shared his admiration of Sam, and her unwillingness to give up on life. Sam let him know that she still missed her baby, and that she often dreamed about her, but that she was happy that they were together. 

In the cemetery, Ric waited for Sam at the site of her baby's grave, as it was the two-year anniversary of the girl's death. He was convinced that Sam would make an appearance and was determined to capture her. Sam woke up from a nightmare about her baby dying and Jason comforted her. Carly brought Sam some clothes and money. Jason warned her to stay away from them. He vowed he'd protect Sam and himself. Jason ordered Carly to stay out of this mess and she begged him to leave town. Jason got Sam out of the hotel before Mac came up, and they made it to a safe house that Bernie and Stan set up. He vowed they'd stay there until they could get evidence on Ric's manipulations. Jason showed up at the hospital disguised as a doctor and asked Liz for help in getting Ric's cell phone. Liz was able to lift it and get it to Jason. He cloned the phone and handed it back to her. Epiphany witnessed the exchange and chastised Liz for helping a fugitive while she's pregnant. Sam heard a baby cry and met a neighbor in the building who was carrying her child. Sam assisted the women in getting into her apartment. She then went back into theirs, wrote a note and headed out. Later, Jason returned from his errand, found the note and got upset. Ric's cloned phone rang. Jason listened in as the cops reported that Sam's at the grave site. They moved in and Jason winced as he heard a shot fired. Jason wants to go and see how Sam is doing at the hospital. Sonny leaves to help Jason and Sam. Sam is only grazed in the arm by a bullet and is only bleeding a little bit. Ric calls for an ambulance and insists to the cops that she needs to go to the hospital to get checked out so everything is by the book. Sam yells at Ric for setting her up and accuses him of trying to lay a trap for Jason by making him think she has been hurt badly enough to be admitted at the hospital. Ric orders the EMTs to sedate her when she tries to take a swing at him and calls him a pig. Sam is sedated enough to make her pass out. Sam is brought through the emergency room and Robin and Patrick are paged to the ER. 

Robin sees Sam being wheeled into the ER and is concerned about her. She asks Epiphany about her but Ric steps in and tells Robin that Sam was sedated because she got a little excited when she was caught. Elizabeth is on duty and becomes concerned about Sam as well. Ric tells Elizabeth that he doesn't want to get her involved and suggests that she get assigned to a different floor. Ric leaks phony information to the press and they announce on the TV news that Sam was captured and is in critical condition. Sonny shows up at the half-way house that Jason is hiding in and the two of them see the news clip. Jason really gets scared for Sam and wants to go see her at the hospital. Sonny warns him not to play Ric's game and fall into the trap he is setting for him. Ric makes Epiphany follow his orders and pretend that she is treating Sam when he is actually putting a female undercover cop who looks like Sam to pose as her to set a trap for Jason. Sam is put in some other hospital room. Elizabeth finds her lying in some hospital bed under an assumed name and notices she is heavily sedated and strapped in restraints. 

Carly goes downstairs and notices how there are cops swarming the ER posing as hospital personnel. She asks Epiphany if she has seen Sonny around? Epiphany tells her she has seen more cops and mobsters here than she sees in a Joe Pesci movie. Sonny shows up downstairs and tries to get Ric to back off of Sam and Jason. Ric refuses to listen to him and that he will use necessary force to get Jason if he has to. Sonny tries to get Jason on his cell phone but Jason leaves his cell phone on the table at the half-way house because he knows it is probably Sonny calling to try and stop him from going to the hospital. Elizabeth tries to talk to a sedated Sam. Sam tells her that she needs her to warn Jason not to come to the hospital because Ric is trying to trap him. Elizabeth leaves her room and Ric grabs her and puts his hand over her mouth. He tells Elizabeth she wasn't supposed to see Sam and knows too much. Carly hides a gun in her purse and walks around the ER. Jax shows up also and asks her what she is doing there. Carly isn't pleased that Jax is there and tells him she is fine and to go back and check on Alexis. Sonny comes over to her and tells her to go home. Jason shows up dressed like a doctor. Carly sees him and lets him know she saw him. She pulls out her gun and points it at Sonny and tells him he is going to pay for what he did. 

"I'll make you pay!" Carly yelled as she trained her gun on Sonny. Jason slipped by during the ruckus and entered what he assumed was Sam's room but was confronted by an armed policewoman. Before she could call for backup, Jason overpowered her. Ric realized Carly was intentionally causing a diversion and discovered Jason had escaped. Ric then quarantined Carly, Jax and Sonny for questioning. Liz found Jason and he said he needed her help to get Sam out of the hospital. Jason then took Epiphany hostage and dragged her onto the elevator. Turns out she was part of the charade as Liz disguised Sam and wheeled her out of her room. Ric was infuriated to find Sam was missing while Jason was able to bolt from the hospital. Liz took Sam to a safe place where she was reunited with Jason. Ric had placed a tracking device on Liz and discovered where they were located. Ric has tracked Elizabeth by the tracking device he slipped in the pocket of her scrubs and he is on his way to her location. Jason discovers the tracking device in Elizabeth's pocket so he and Sam leave. Ric busts the door to the apartment where Elizabeth is down and barges in. Elizabeth is angry at Ric and she denies having any idea where Sam and Jason are. The Super comes in and demands to know what is going on? He tells Ric that Elizabeth was interested in renting the apartment but she can forget it now because he does not need people renting who are in trouble with the police. 

Sonny, Stan, Jason, and Sam meet up and Stan works to try and find out who Alcazar's computer hacker is. Sonny advises Sam and Jason that their way of doing things has not worked up to this point and from now on they are going to do things his way. Jason and Sam agree to follow Sonny's rules. Stan gets a hit on the guy who did the computer hacking to plant the evidence on the flash drive. He tells Sonny that they guy is an English professor at PCU who is currently running a Tab at Jake's. As Pete is leaving Jake's, Jason grabs him and takes him to where Stan and Sonny are. They demand to know why he is working for Alcazar and Pete insists that he has no idea what they are talking about. Pete tells them that he hardly uses his computer at work and when he isn't there the door is locked. He tells them that one of his students who is a computer science major and English minor set up his computer at work for him. Alcazar threatens the computer hacker, a college student named Spinelli, and warns him that Sonny better not be able to find any information on the computer that will show that Alcazar is involved. Spinelli is overly confident in his abilities as he reminds Alcazar that he is the "Jackal" and that they won't be able to trace anything back to him. While Spinelli and Alcazar are talking, Ric barges into Alcazar's house and seems surprised to see the college student there. Lorenzo introduces him as his computer tech and quickly ushers him out. Rick figures out that Spinelli is the hacker. 

Jason and Sam tried to convince Pete to let them know who his student was that put together the evidence to frame Sam. Pete refused to devulge that information, so Jason and Sam let him go. He immediately called Spinnelli, and asked Spinnelli to meet him at Kelly's. He tried to convince the Spinneli that working for Alcazar was dangerous, but the kid said the money was too good to give up. Once outside of Kelly's Sam and Jason captured him, and brought him to the safe house. They were trying to convince him to turn on Alcazar and help them. Jason told a frightened Spinelli that Alcazar will assume Spinelli talked, so he might as well talk. Alcazar told Ric he has to assume Spinelli talked, so Ric has to destroy the flash drive and kill Jason now! Spinelli offered Sam the proof she needs. Sonny told Jason and Sam to turn themselves in, because cooperating will keep them from being shot as fugitives and expose the frame-up. When Lucky returned to the police department Ric said he'll give Lucky Jason's case. Mac objected, so Lucky took him aside and apologized for hurting Maxie. Mac warned Lucky that if he backslides, Mac will bust him personally. Spinelli wanted run away with Sam to Costa Rica, but she balked. Sonny went to Mac at PCPD to arrange Jason and Sam's surrender. Ric brought that info to Alcazar, who realized the frame-up will be exposed. Alcazar declared they all have to die before surrendering. Ric balked at killing Sonny, but Alcazar said he couldn't guarantee Sonny's safety when the bullets start flying tomorrow. 

Spinelli complains to Sam that there is nothing good to eat in the half-way house. Sam tells him to eat the crackers Jason bought. Spinelli waits until Sam goes into the bathroom to take a shower before slipping out of the apartment. Jason shows up at Sonny's while Sonny compliments Carly on her dress as she is getting ready to go to Luke and Laura's wedding with Jax. Sonny plans to go to the wedding also. Carly argues with him about trying to cause trouble again for Jax and her by going to the wedding. Jason agrees that Sonny needs to go to the wedding to create an alibi for today. Carly hugs Jason and wishes him luck turning himself in to Mac. Later, Spinelli sneaks back into the apartment with a bag of chips he must have got at a nearby store. He hides the chips when Sam steps out of the bathroom. Jason shows up minutes later with groceries. He gets Spinelli all excited when he hands him a videogame system and a new video game to play. He pulls him into the bathroom and puts a chair against the door to keep him there. Sam asks Jason if he should keep locking him in the bathroom. Jason tells her he did it so he can spend some time alone with her. He cooks her dinner and they kiss. Alcazar gets his men ready to shoot both Jason and Sam outside the police station when they head in to turn themselves in. Ric meets Alcazar on the docks to put their plan in motion. Ric doesn't like the fact that Alcazar brought Diego along. Alcazar tells him that he is the one taking all the risks and will let whomever he wants be in on it. 

Later, Ric loses his cool when he realizes that his plan may backfire if Sam and Jason turn themselves in successfully. Alcazar calls Ric at his office and tells him that Diego spotted Spinelli heading into a convenience store and followed him. Ric realizes that Diego knows where Jason and Sam are hiding. Jason and Sam talk and kiss. Spinelli starts calling out to them to let him out of the bathroom. Jason lets go of Sam reluctantly and lets Spinelli out. He tells them that it is time for them to turn themselves in. They head out of the apartment and get in the car. Jason is about to turn on the ignition and stops suddenly. He orders Sam and Spinelli to get out of the car right now. They get out of the car moments before it blows up. Ric shows up at the reception to arrest Sonny for aiding in Jason and Sam's escape. Sonny warns him about arresting him and that he is sure that right now Jason and Sam are going to present evidence that he set Sam up. Sonny guesses that he is going to have Jason and Sam ambushed on their way to turn themselves in. Carly starts to push Ric around and accuses him of trying to get rid of Jason. Elizabeth listens to the argument and then passes out on the floor. This brings everyone's attention onto her lying on the floor. Lucky and Emily helped Elizabeth. Edward walked in and demanded to know what was going on. Carly told him to ask Ric. Ric said he was doing his job. Sonny had a cell phone in his hand and Ric asked him if he was trying to call Jason? Carly told him if anything happened to Jason she would kill him. Sonny told Ric to check his watch. They still had ten minutes unless he wanted all the witnesses at the reception to testify that he jumped the gun. Ric told him that he made the deal with Mac not him. Then he said he may have the surrender time wrong and he will wait and give them the benefit of the doubt. Ric was concerned about Elizabeth as Lucky and Emily had her sit down. Ric's phone rang. He received a phone call that there was an explosion in an ally with gun shots and Jason was seen in the area along with a woman, probably Sam and an unidentified man. He said it looked like Jason changed his mind about giving up. Carly still confronted him that he was on his way over there to make sure. 

Jason, Sam and Spinelli hid behind a dumpster as the car exploded. Alcazar's men started shooting at them. They made a run for it and stopped when Spinelli couldn't breathe. Jason and Sam were trying to figure out how they found them. Spinelli told them it was probably him, he went out for a bag of chips. Jason pushed him against the wall, but Sam stopped him just as Alcazar's men found them again and start shooting. Jason was trying to figure out a way to get out. Diego showed up and told the men that they need to finish this now, his dad is out for blood. Jason covered as Sam and Spinelli ran. They ran in to a warehouse. As they are going upstairs Diego walks in and saw them. He shot at Sam, but it hit the railing. Sam shot back and hit him. Kristina sees him on the ground and screams. Sam ran down to her and asked what she was doing there. The police yell for them to come out with their hands up and it spooked Spinelli and he ran up the stairs. Sam told Jason to go after him, but Jason didn't want to leave her. She told him that Spinelli was their only way out of this, she would stay there with Kristina. The police barged in the warehouse as Sam held Kristina to protect her. Cruz walked in and told the officers to put their guns down. Ric came in and paused for a second as he saw Sam and Kristina, but then he told the police that Jason had to be around there someplace and they went off looking for him. Cruz saw Diego and said that he was dead. Sam told him it was self defense, hand him her gun, and told him that she needed to take care of her sister. Cruz walked them out of the warehouse and two officers saw Jason and Spinelli above them, just as Jason said that was it, they were going to turn themselves in, Spinelli said no way, and ran just as an officer is behind them and told Jason to put his gun down. Jason threw his gun down and Ric ran up and yelled that he has another gun and to shoot! The officer shot and Jason jumped over the side into the water. Sam screamed for Jason and Kristina saw it all. 

Mac arrived and Ric told him they had Sam, and Jason was shot resisting arrest. Cruz said there was another man up there and Ric said he ran through a door on the catwalk. They were searching the water for Jason. Sam was holding Kristina and Ric came over to ask if she was alright when Alexis found them and told him to get away from her daughters. Sam told her that she saw her shoot someone. Alcazar showed up and wanted to know where his son was? Sam held back tears and told him that he was inside. Alexis said she needs to get her out of there, but Kristina wouldn't let go of Sam. Mac told Alexis he needs to take Sam into custody. Alexis told him that Kristina is in a state of shock and if he takes her away from Sam it could get worse. Mac told her that Sam is an escaped prisoner that just shot and killed a man. Alexis told him it was self defense, but Mac told her to tell it to the judge. They pulled Kristina away from Sam and gave her to Alexis. Alcazar walks inside and saw Diego. Alcazar got down and hugged Diego as he was crying and screaming why. He said no matter what it took or who has to pay, he will spend his last dying breath seeking revenge for him. 

Cruz confronts Ric and told him that was murder, he thought they were supposed to be better than they are. Ric asked him what he was saying? Cruz told him that he ordered the officers to shoot at an unarmed man. Ric told him Jason was a cold blooded hit man that deserved what he got. Sonny walked in and told Cruz that he was a man with integrity and he respects that, but that is why he was going to ask for him to leave him alone with his brother and forget he ever saw him. Ric told him it was okay, his brother is not going to hurt him. Ric told Sonny that he could make threats, but what he told Cruz was true and they both knew it. Sonny pulled out a gun and unloaded it as he asked Ric if he knew how many times Jason asked him to kill him starting with the time that he chained Carly to a wall when she was pregnant with their son because he wanted to steal their baby, up until the time that he slept with Sam. Sonny put one bullet back in the gun and the rest in his pocket. He asked Ric if he knew why he let him live? One reason only, because he was his mother's son. Now Jason is dead and he was his real brother and Ric had him killed, that takes all bets off the table. Ric told him there was no way he could kill him. Sonny put the gun against Ric's chest. Ric taunts Sonny and goads him into pulling the trigger believing that Sonny won't be able to do it. Sonny pulls the trigger but there is no bullet in the chamber so Ric's life is spared. Sonny leaves promising Ric that he will kill him. Elizabeth was at a church praying for Jason. As she is lighting a candle she heard someone say her name. Jason was on the floor of the church, almost passed out. She is frantic and asked him if he is okay, she told him he had to live for the baby's sake, it isn't Lucky's baby it is his. 

Sam admits she shot Diego buy she says that she did it in self-defense because Diego was shooting at her, Jason and Spinelli. Carly walks in and tells Sam not to say another word. Carly tells Sam that she is going to get Sam out of there because that is what Jason would want her to do. Elizabeth frantically tries to call for help but Jason stops her because he knows that he can't go to the hospital. They go to Elizabeth's old studio where Elizabeth examines Jason and determines that the bullet is still in his leg. Jason tells her she has to remove it. Elizabeth balks at this and says she can't do it. She calls Sonny to tell him about Jason and Sonny comes over. Once Sonny assesses the situation he also tells Elizabeth that Jason's only chance for survival is if she removes the bullet. Elizabeth takes the bullet out of Jason's leg and tends to his wounds and stays by his side as he sleeps. Lorenzo pays Ric a visit and demands to know what Ric is going to do about Diego's death. Ric offers his sympathy and tells Lorenzo that Sam will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Lorenzo is not satisfied with Ric's response and he vows to avenge Diego's death. Lorenzo informs Ric if he doesn't help then he will be removed. 

Sonny comes home and finds Carly there. Carly begins going on about the things that need to be done for Sam before Sonny can even get a word in. Sonny finally is able to tell Carly that he saw Jason and that he is alive. Carly is overcome with relief and she and Sonny share a hug that quickly turns into a passionate kiss in a music montage of scenes of various PCers. At the studio, a recovering Jason asked Elizabeth what she had said to him at the church? She claimed she didn't remember. Carly arrived and quickly told Liz that she should get checked out after her fall earlier that night. Liz reluctantly agreed and left. Once Liz left the room, Carly warned Jason not to do something he'll regret. At the PCPD, a belligerent Ric told Sam that she was going to spend the rest of her life in prison. Jax arrived and jumped to Sam's defense and warned Ric that Alexis will decimate him in court. Ric huffed out and Jax gave Sam an update on Kristina. Then, Sonny entered and Sam asked for any info on Jason. She was thrilled to hear he was alive. Sonny said, "Sit tight and act like the grieving girlfriend until I tell you otherwise." Sonny then left. Sonny entered the studio just as Carly was filling in Jason about the kiss. He reported that Sam was okay and that Jax was helping her. Carly then kissed Jason on the head and headed home. 

Elizabeth went to see Jason at her studio, and to take care of him for the day. He lets her know that he appreciated that she saved his life and was willing to take care of him, however she should go and spend Thanksgiving with Cameron. At first she was reluctant, afraid that he could get a fever again and need her help, but he persisted, she relented, and left. Music montage as the Q's start singing, "We Gather Together" and this goes into a music montage of the Thanksgiving feast at GH, Sam sitting alone in jail, Jason alone in Liz's studio, Liz and Lucky with Cameron. Elizabeth brings Jason some breakfast and antibiotics and Jason expresses his concerns that Elizabeth is doing too much for him and putting herself, Cameron, and the baby in danger. Elizabeth reassures Jason that she is fine and that she is doing this because she wants to help clear him and Sam. Carly visits Jason at Elizabeth's studio, where he is hiding out, and she tells Jason that she needs him in her life and the only person who understands that is Sonny. She asks Jason to never scare her again and make her think that he is dead because it makes her turn to Sonny for comfort. Ric welcomes Lucky back to the police force and officially reinstates him. Ric gives him his first assignment which is to bring down Jason. 

Sam attempts to interact with Kristina which causes Kristina to have a flashback to Sam shooting Diego. She begins screaming and runs to the corner and curls up on the floor. Lainey assures Alexis and Sam that although this was not the reaction they were hoping for, it is also not a bad sign. Lainey encourages Sam to try again but it is too much for Sam and Alexis to deal with. Both Sam and Alexis blame themselves for what happened to Kristina. Alexis feels like she has failed as a mother to all three of her daughters and Sam tries to reassure her that she is not a failure. 

Ric pays Elizabeth a visit at the hospital with the sole purpose of checking up on her and letting her know that Lucky is back at work and that his first assignment is to find Jason. Elizabeth rushes over to the studio to let Jason know about this. Jason points out to Elizabeth that this is all part of Ric's master plan. He figures that either he or Lucky will kill the other and then Elizabeth will hate the one who is left alive. This leaves Ric wide open to swoop in and become the man in Elizabeth's life. While they are talking Lucky knocks on the door looking for Elizabeth. Lorenzo surprises Rick at the PCPD and tells him that he has confirmation that Jason is alive! Ric told Lorenzo that Lucky would take care of Jason, however he needed to work on trying to figure out where Spinelli is so that he could not incriminate the two of them for falsifying evidence against Jason. 

Jason hid in the closet, while the Liz and Lucky talked. Lucky explained to Liz that he was back on the force and that his first assignment was to bring Jason in dead or alive. Liz expressed her confidence that Lucky would handle the case fairly, and do whatever was necessary. Lucky then reluctantly asked her if she knew were Jason was? Liz said she had no idea where he could be. After Lucky left the studio, Jason wondered why Liz was not totally honest with her husband. She let him know that she felt that sharing her indiscretions with Lucky would only give him reasons to fall for his demons again, and she could not share the burden. Jason thought that being honest with Lucky would allow her to trust him again, and allow the two of them a second chance. Liz said that she did not know if she wanted to go down that road again. While they were talking, Stan came by and let them know that he had found one of Spinelli's user names in cyberspace. Using that information he was able to get an address, and Jason was adamant that he was going to go get him to clear Sam's name. Liz tried to convince him to let other people help Sam since he was still recuperating from his injuries. However, Jason was unwilling to let anyone else help Sam. 

At the police station, Sam was trying to explain to Alexis that she understood that she needed to do what was best for her daughters. Alexis reminded her that while she might not understand or agree to the decisions that Sam has made, she too is her daughter, and that she would do whatever necessary to get her out of her current situation. She let Sam know that she wanted to be her lawyer and get her out of the mess she was in. Sam tried to dissuade her mother, by explaining that she needed to concentrate on getting better, and the she did not need the additional stress. Alexis reminded her that she was the best person to go against Ric, and that Sam should take her help. Sam warned Lucky that Ric is after Elizabeth, but Lucky wouldn't hear of it, insisting that Liz will give him a second chance now that he's clean. Liz warned Jason that his wound could reopen, but he insisted on finding Spinelli to clear Sam. Jason and Stan tracked Spinelli to a store, whose owner revealed he was snatched up along with a "blonde cutie." Alcazar checked on his captives and was surprised to find Lulu with Spinelli. Spinelli boasted that he rigged Alcazar's computers with trap doors and wormholes that would destroy his data. This prompted Lorenzo to keep the kids around until he gets certain safeguards installed. Lulu gave her condolences to Alcazar, who vowed to try to get her out of this. Alcazar told the kids they will be freed tomorrow. But Spinelli somehow rigged an intercom to pick up Alcazar's instructions to his men: "Kill them both and make it look like an accident." Jason later stumbled back to his safe room, bleeding. Liz rewrapped his wound and scolded him for taking risks. He said it's good he's not her baby's daddy. Later, Liz gave Sam a cell phone then returned to Jason. Sam called him, and they exchanged "I love you"s.
