On this
edit, I began with some scenes to set up the ball preparations
celebrating Stefan and Katherine's engagement, and Luke and Alexis' plan
to kill Helena during the ball. I then included the two complete ball
episodes, the next episode with the aftermath of the parapet accident,
and this was followed up with Katherine's death. Also included in this
edit, is Brenda's scene with Sonny during his return. They happened to
be on the episodes after the ball so I left them in as I thought some
fans might enjoy seeing this as well as the ball scenes. Note: For fans
of Luke, Laura, Stefan storyline, I recommend the Cassidine vs. Spencer
#9 edit which contains this storyline plus much more edited to their
scenes.

Episode
Breakdown
[Note: The
scenes from May 6-19th are mainly done at night or in dark settings, so the
images are dark as well]
May 6, 1998 - Stefan and Katherine announce their engagement. Nik's
delighted. In a spliced montage, Luke and Alexis' plans for Helena's
demise are intercut with Stefan and Kat's party plans. The party plans
are set for May 22 at Wyndemere. Stefan proclaims it will be a masked
ball in the family tradition of Bacchanalia, and open to everyone.
Stefan and Kat start making arrangements when he shows her the ring he's
going to put on her finger, she holds out her hand, ring finger
extended. Alexis is impatiently awaiting Luke when he comes up to
her, clutching his bleeding stomach. He tells her to run! Helena's
coming after her next! Instead, Alexis whips out her cellular phone to
call 911. Luke grabs it with a "sorry, just kidding"
explanation. He's testing her. Alexis is not amused. Later, Luke and
Alexis decide they need a public event, where they can don disguises.
Nik runs into Luke on the docks and informs him there'll be a major
engagement party at his house on May 22 and Luke's not invited. In fact,
he's so uninvited that Nik's already ordered security to take Luke out
back and shoot him if he even tries to crash the gates.
May 13, 1998 - Stefan hands the keys to the trunk to his servant with
orders to bring it downstairs, after which, Kat comes along with the
finished party invitations. Stefan brags about the nobility invited, and
explains the history of Bacchanalia, Cassadine style; all the Russian
nobility and family foes would hold a truce for the engagement party,
but come masked as insurance. Nik enters later and decides to open
the trunk and pulls out a letter from Helena to Stefan, basically
taunting his memories and momentoes of Lasha contained in the box.
Stefan and Katherine re-enter, and start talking about wedding dresses.
Stefan tells her to close her eyes, and whips out the wedding dress that
every Cassadine bride wears. A little of the history of the dress is
discussed, but not the fact that Laura, also, wore it.
May 14, 1998 - Katherine is fussing over the dress. Stefan comes in
and she asks about the last Cassadine wife to wear it, Bobbie? "No,
that was hardly cause for celebration." No this time he's
proclaiming the woman he loves to the world. The phone rings, for
Katherine. Stefan leaves and Nik comes in. He's upset about
the dress. "Did he tell you this dress has a history?"
Later, Nik is looking at the dress and Stefan comes in and Nik asks her
why Stefan is making her wear Laura's dress. Stefan explains it's
a Cassidine dress. Why would Helena call it Lasha's dress. Nik
tells Stefan Robin is coming. She's just a friend no matter what
Nik wants. Katherine tells Stefan she's worried that Nik doesn't
approve.
May 15, 1998 - The Wyndermere scenes began with Luke and Alexis, who are
in the living room of Stefan's house. Luke has used his amazing ability
to enter and leave Spoon Island at will to bring Alexis here to plan
Helena's "accident." My favorite line was Luke's "I
wouldn't bury her alive; she might have the power to regenerate
herself." They settle on a fall from the parapet, with Luke
gruesomely nonchalant as he observes it's a high enough fall to assure
death and situated to provide for an "audience". This
decision made, Alexis leaves for a meeting and Luke stays behind to make
arrangements. A giggling Katherine and Stefan enter the living rom,
forcing Luke to hide and watch. There is much smooching, since Kat
is wearing the "Lasha portrait" dress, which always puts
Stefan in the mood. Then Stefan gives Kat a dance lesson in proper
waltzing. He places one arm on her waist, tucks the other behind
his back; she is positioned with one arm on his shoulder and the other
thrown straight out to the side awkwardly, in a position to hold up a
ball gown if she were wearing one. They stop dancing and collapse
on the couch in giggles and start kissing. Then we're reminded of
what, or who, is really on his mind. "I've only attended one
other Bacchanalia. Watching the engagement ring go on the bride's
hand is something I'll never forget. This engagement, this tradition,
marks a new beginning for both of us. They kiss some more, and he's
particularly ardent, as always after a Lasha thought. She invites
him to come to the guest house for sex, and Luke is able to come out of
hiding as they exit. Luke finds the portrait of Laura, and a lightbulb
goes off when he sees that Laura is dressed just like Kat was earlier.
May 19, 1998 - Katherine is sitting on the stone bench, admiring her
ring, when Nikolas comes over. As she's talking, he is remembering
Stefan telling him about the ring being his mother's when he was a young
boy. Katherine tells Nikolas she's honored to be wearing a piece of
Cassadine history and is proud they are going to be family. He tells her
he was happy when she came to live with them and hoped it would become
permanent. Stefan finds Alexis on the docks and hands her an
invitation to his engagement party. She thinks it's a joke but he lets
her know its sincere. She asks what changed and he only invited her
because it is family tradition to have everyone there when welcoming a
new member to the family. He still can't forgive her though. She tells
him she will attend. Meanwhile, Luke is hiding and overhears the
conversation. Luke thinks the invitation is perfect for their plan but
Alexis isn't so sure. She thinks the place should be less public. He
wants Helena to die at Wyndemere as he has planned. Luke says he will
kill Helena on his own if she wants out but reminds her of all she has
to done to her. Alexis doesn't like that he is making all the rules.
Alexis is going to the party and will help him get Helena upstairs. He
gives her instructions on how they'll do it. Plans all set, Luke and
Alexis shake on it and plan to meet outside before the party. She hopes
Stefan will thank her for this.
Tony approaches Helena regarding Alexis' help and wants to know what she
wants now in return. Helena tells Tony she doesn't want anything from
him. He's a little suspicious of that. She does ask him what made him do
it and brings up BJ. He doesn't care to speak of his daughter with her.
She then gets weepy over Stavros, claiming to sympathize with him.
Stefan and Katherine talk about the party and she tells him about
showing Nikolas her ring. Nikolas looks into getting a flight out to
North Carolina.
May 20, 1998 - Stefan, not able to locate Nikolas, goes to his
harborside bench and plants himself. Kat disturbs his reverie to inform
him that the family heirloom ballgown he gave her just isn't working
out, so she bought a new dress. Stefan gets mildly put out and promises
to call Paris and get a new one made but wait it turns out Katy was just
joking. Stefan asks his love why she was AWOL earlier in the day,
and she explains that she had "unfinished business with demons of
my past." And that she went back and paid a visit to Serenity,
stood in the window and proclaimed herself fit to be mistress of the
manor. More or less. They cozy up and proclaim their blissful happiness,
though Bat looks less than ecstatic.
Mac and Felicia return from their camping trip to a beaming Maxie,
Georgie and Robin, who are all just bursting with plans for the upcoming
nuptials. When the younger set leave the room, they get into
another one of their patented should-they-or-shouldn't-they tell the
truth debates, which was thankfully broken up when Luke rang at the
doorbell. He wants to know if they're going to the Bacchanalia, says he
needs a favor, and the favor is that the couple keep an eagle eye on
Bobbie, as he won't be there to watch out for his sis. Luke continues to
yell 'alibi' by inviting the pair to the club if they get bored of the
Cassadine party, he'll be in the backroom working on the books all
night, but Claude will take care of them. He rags on Mac and Filly about
setting a date, then splits. The girls wander back in to show the couple
the wedding gown that Maxie designed - Barbie size. She then pulls Mac
out, and Robin and Filly get into girl talk, and Robin spills the news
about her renewed relationship with Jason. Felicia tries to warn her
young friend that Carly might take lightly to Robin's presence in not
just Jason's, but BBQ's life, but Robin was unconcerned, Carly
was, after all in the loony bin, and might be sent to jail, anyhow.
Filly again warns her to be careful, they call Carly a witch and giggle.
Mac re-enters with Maxie and a silly mask; they discuss their dating
plans for the ball and again after Robin leaves, start up the "when
will we tell them the truth" debate.
Nikolas shows up on Laura's doorstep, full of questions about his
mother's past with his uncle. In the end, after many evasions, she
mirrored Stefan's tale that he was mainly just sypathetic towards her,
and that she was grateful for it. Still unsatisfied, he applied a wee
little guilt trip on her and left. Lucky and Liz are packing their bags
in preparation of running off together when Audrey rudely interrupts
their efforts. After fighting with Elizabeth, Audrey grabs Lucky for a
heart-to-heart, begs him to talk Liz out of going with him. He doesn't
answer, but later tries to dissuade Ms. Webber from coming; she
threatens to leave with or withous him, so he brings her along. Audrey
opens the door to Liz's room, and sees they have left through the
window. Later, she brings Luke into the room for a little show and tell,
and bashes him for his role in the misadventure. Luke promises her that
Lizzie's safe with his son, and that he'll keep an eye out for them. Liz
and Lucky wind up at the docks, plotting their next step and making
plans to crash the Cassadine ball. Endgame: various scenes of today's
characters, ending with Laura reading her Bacchanalia invitation and a
note from Stefan, telling her that he's giving Nik the "mother he
deserves."
May 21, 1998 - Emily adjusts Edward's tie. Ned tells Em she looks
absolutely exquisite. Em is excited, Ned not so. They all say it's
an affront to good taste. AJ makes plans to leave as soon as
possible. Alan floats in, and tells them Monica has been delayed
at the hospital. Katherine is surprised by Stefan. She's fretting.
Stefan assures her that "all that is important is you, and me, and
Nikolas, and the rest of our lives together." She tells him
she's been dreaming about this night her entire life. They kiss.
He'll give the command to light the torches. "This is our
night, my love. Let's enjoy it to the fullest."
Luke and Alexis sneak up past the newly lit torches. In true GH
style, they discuss the New Majorly Dumb Plan where they can be
overheard, but they apparently aren't. "You nervous?"
Luke asks.
"A little," Alexis responds. "It's my first
murder." They review the plan. Stefan stalks through the
room. He sees Katherine all done up. He kisses her hand, "Of all
the women who have worn that dress, you are, assuredly, the most
beautiful." Robin and Nik come in. Compliments are exchanged.
The dock, Nik announces, is lined with limos. Robin tells
Katherine she has always admired and loved her. The guests arrive.
Edward grumbles to his family that he refuses to pay homage to a
marriage that is doomed from the start. He gives Katherine three
months to dump that scoundrel. Then he turns and offers Katherine and
Stefan his sincerest congratulations.
Lucky and Liz sneak onto the island. They'll watch the show from
outside. Liz gets nervous. Jax and Brenda come in. She says,
glowing, to Katherine that "getting engaged must be so
exciting." Two people are turned away since they've misplaced
their invitation. Jerry appears, probably with the lost invitation.
He escorts Bobbie in. "You can't fight destiny, darling."
Bobbie uses him to show Stefan she too has moved on with her life. Then
she leaves Jerry standing there. Mac and Felicia come in with a tripping
V. She's having trouble with her "hood". She sees
Ned as she's adjusting it, and he sees Alexis. Alexis thanks
Stefan for the invitation. Stefan is cold towards her. Luke is snooping
through a desk and pulls out a dagger/letter opener.
Bobbie is surprised at the decorating changes. Jerry offers her a castle
in Romania and she snubs him. Alexis comes up to Ned and says
"hi." He's surprised she's speaking to Stefan. Helena
comes in with a masked escort. Bobbie makes a catty remark about her
"boy toy" and then behold! It's Tony! He looks
smug and evil. Felicia and Robin have the grace to look
embarrassed. Helena says to him: "I think we've
arrived." Stefan comes up to her and says it's nice to see her in
true form. Edward grumbles. AJ agrees, "and I thought Carly was a
bad choice." Bobbie confronts Tony. "So, have you given
up all semblance of respectability?"
Tony snarks, "I don't get that many invitations these days.
It was nice to be asked."
Jax asks Jerry if his choice of the Train fron Hell was deliberate.
Brenda and Jax tell him they liked the train. Life could be too
dreary without love. "Thank you, Jerry, you really came
through for us."
Emily tells AJ she's worried about Alan. AJ will keep an eye on
him. Monica comes into the Quartermaine den looking for the invitation.
She discovers a credit card bill for "Lovin' Arms Motel" and
the "Hot Stuff Boutique." The guests applaud as Stefan
presents Katherine. They waltz. Her head ticks from side to
side like a metronome. We see the following scenes interlaced with the
waltz, Edward, jealous, says the formal sash went out 300 years ago.
AJ agrees, "He looks like a contestant in search of a beauty
contest."
Felicia muses, "They look like they're right out of a
storybook." Mac agrees, enthusiastically, "And did you
see the buffet table? They got shrimp the size of dolphins!!"
Robin asks Nik if Stefan is really a romantic. Does he really love
Katherine? Nik: "Look at the way he looks at her!"
Ned asks Alexis, "Did you handle the prenups?"
Alexis quips, "What makes you think there is one?"
Ned retorts, "Because I happen to know both parties."
Brenda and Jax gloat over their secret. Jerry tells Bobbie he doesn't
care for the waltz. Too much space between the partners.
"Space, huh?" says Bobbie. "What a GOOD idea!"
Helena tells Nik that his engagement will be a night for celebration,
this is nothing. Luke works on the railing with the dagger. Nik excuses
himself to join the dance, and Helena thinks he's asking her. He
snubs her and goes to Robin. Emily looks on sadly.
Ned sees Emily. He asks if she's enjoying herself. He tells
her to throw herself into it "because these nights live in your
memory forever." Emily doesn't look thrilled with this prospect.
Lucky and Liz are looking through the windows. She is starstruck.
He offers to waltz with her. After some initial awkwardness, she
agrees. Ned helps V. wipe champagne off her dress. He sees Alexis
looking so he takes V off to dance. "Don't lead." Tony
comes up to Alexis and asks her to dance. "You're the reason
I'm here." She tells him she's not in the mood for dancing.
Alan is downing pills in the study and sees Luke. He thinks he's
security and babbles for a while. After he leaves Luke puts the
dagger back into the desk and checks his watch. Robin goes to see
Brenda. Bobbie tells Nik she misses him, and they hug. Brenda has
to tell Robin about the engagement. Robin, "You guys are
doing it, right?"
Brenda laughs, "YES! We're also getting married!!"
Tony tells Alan he is looking good. This is not a compliment. If
he were in withdrawal, he wouldn't be looking good. Monica asks Reginald
when Alan was gone. She checks the dates with the receipt. Ned
takes Emily dancing. Nik tells her she looks lovely. Alexis is
stopped by Helena. She reminds Alexis she still is pulling the
strings. Luke overhears. AJ is looking for Alan under Helena's
watchful eye. Edward says he wouldn't own Wyndemere on a bet.
Katherine comes up to Mac and Felicia. Felicia wonders, "How
does it feel to be engaged to one of the most eligible bachelors in the
country?"
"I don't know, you tell me." Felicia makes her funny
face. They discuss "fear of commitment."
Stefan takes Katherine off. Alexis sees Luke in the garden. They
discuss the new plan. She is scared. It must look like an
accident. He hands her the key to the parapet and talks her into
it again. Stefan makes an an announcement as he gives Katherine the
ring. It involves "true love." Helena doesn't
applaud. Monica comes in, and sees Alan drinking. Outside, Laura
comes up.
May 22, 1998 - Stefan places the ring on Katherine's finger, while Laura
wanders outside, still wearing her mask. Alan, in a very jovial
mood, hollars for a kiss, they oblige. Helena sidles up to Alexis
saying she might be needing her later, and cattily points out Ned and V
toast. On the dance floor, Brenda suggests to Jax that they
pretend this is their wedding dance. Nik asks Robin to dance.
Edward spies a wistful Emily watching Nik and Robin, and suggests that
she cut in. Emily balks at the idea, so Edward cuts in, dancing with
Robin and freeing Nik for Emily. With AJ's continued prodding,
Emily finally approaches Nik, but, instead of asking him to dance, she
asks him where Alan is. Katherine leaves the party to get Stefan's
'gift', which she's left in the guest house. Nik asks Stefan if he's
happy, and Stefan replies that he's happy that the three of them will be
a family at last. Helena joins them and comments about how lovely
it is to have three generations of Cassadines together, but the two men
look at her as if she were some noxious thing clinging to the bottom of
their shoes.
Luke is busy loosening the railing up on the parapet. He eyes Helena's
potential trajectory admiringly. He uncovers Laura's portrait and then
immediately covers his face with his mask. Meanwhile, Laura is in
the guesthouse, looking for a trigger to open the secret tunnel. The
door to the tunnel opens, just as she spies her old dress.
Katherine enters and finds her there. Kat calls for Luke, thinking
he's there too. She accuses Laura of trying to ruin her wedding. Laura
asks about the dress, and tells Kat it was one of her favorites.
Laura goes on to say that Kat's ring and dress are not family heirlooms,
and that they were made for her. "What about these marks on
the ring?" Katherine asks, thinking they prove the ring is
older than Laura says. Laura explains that she smashed the ring on
a stone bench, the one where she and Stefan used to meet.
"Are you becoming a Cassadine?" Laura finally asks her,
"Or are you becoming me?" She compares their images in
the mirror and then shows Katherine her invitation. Katherine
tells her to feel free to poke through all her things and then locks her
in the guest house.
Lucky and Liz find a spot outside Wyndemere to eat their dinner. They
revel in 'living in the moment'. Edward spies a distraught-looking
Katherine who's frantically looking for Stefan. In Stefan's LauraShrine,
conveniently located near the parapet, Laura finds the trunk, opens it,
and gasps audibly at the contents. She pulls out a lovely nightgown (the
one she wore during the flashback of her making love with Stefan),
followed by Nik's baby shoes. She then finds the portrait of herself and
runs from the room.
Back at the dance, a tipsy Ned walks up to Edward and Kat and makes some
snide remarks about how at least the housekeeper hasn't poisoned her
yet. Then, Ned sees Alexis and is instantly distracted. Alan's
forsaking the hors d'voures tray and is instead, opting for his pills.
Amy sees him and confronts him about his drug abuse. Monica sees them
talking and, for some reason, it sets her adultery-spotting-radar off.
Stefan, who'd been showing V around the mansion, spots a masked Laura
"from across a crowded room" and recognizes her immediately.
He crosses to her and says "Lasha... you're here...". He
indicates her mask and asks, "Why so coy?" Laura says
that Katherine knows she's here, and then asks him, point blank, what
he's doing?
"I'm granting myself a life," Stefan replies "a future...
happiness. Can you begrudge me that?" Laura lists the
evidence indicating that Stefan's "new life" is merely a
warped image of his old one with Laura.
"I've stumbled onto some plot against me, against my family, is
that it?" she asks.
"Is that what you would like it to be?" he replies.
She continues to mull this over, "If not, if there's some other
reason..." She goes on to say how dangerous this all is.
"To whom?" Stefan asks.
"You! and Nikolas and me" she replies, and goes on to
tell him that Nik visited her in NC. Noting that Stefan didn't
know about the visit, she says Nik came to ask her about their (Laura
and Stefan's) relationship. "What did you tell him?"
Stefan asks, as if anticipating her answer for himself. Laura's
face softens at his earnest tone, "The same thing you
did..." she replies.
They go on to talk about Helena. Stefan assures Laura that Helena
doesn't know they were lovers. Laura cautions Stefan that if Nik
persists in this line of thought, and finds all this evidence, how long
will it be before he starts to wonder? And if he can no longer trust
either of them, and looks for answers on his own, what will he find?
"Is he your brother's son? Or is he ours?" she asks.
Stefan replies, "What he will find is that he is Prince Nikolas,
the last of the Cassadine princes. The legitimate heir of the late
Stavros Cassadine." And Laura, knowing Stefan's pretzel logic
so well, realizes that what he's really saying is that Nik is his
(Stefan's) son, as he would never willingly give up his previous threat
which led to Laura's banishment in the first place. "You are my
son's father," she states.
"Yes," he says, at last, "did you ever doubt it?"
"Yes..." she says, but then..."no."
Then Laura, ever the realist, turns her attention back to the present
and says that Stefan needs to get rid of that trunk. Stefan, ever
the idealist, thinks that can wait, and asks her about her conversation
with Katherine. Laura gives him a brief recap and advises that if
he really loves her, that he should not make her prisoner the way
Stavros did to me, let her go..." Stefan asks if she's
staying or going back to NC.
"What does it matter now?" she asks.
"Nothing," he replies. Aas a parting shot, Laura gives
him a lovely incredulous look, indicating that no amount of his bullshit
will ever fully obscure the crystal clear view she has of him.
Amy and Alan argue about Alan's addiction. "Who will people
believe?" Alan asserts, "The town gossip, or the chief of
staff?"
Nik asks Emily to dance, while the proud Q's look on. Alexis asks Helena
to adjourn to the parapet. Helena refuses. Alexis tells her
she's pregnant. Ned steps in to defend Alexis (not hearing the
Alexis-is-preggers statement) and diverts Alexis from her duty.
Meanwhile, Katherine sees the portrait, which sets off a big 200 watt
lightbulb. She confronts Stefan and says he's been molding her into
Laura. He, of course, denies it, but Katherine can see the writing on
the wall. As Laura approaches the scene, Katherine approaches the
parapet. Stefan insists that none of this matters, as Kat backs up
against the loosened gate, and falls.
May 25, 1998 - Alexis tries to lure Helena away from the ball's
festivities by telling her that she is pregnant. Ned intervenes to
protect her from Hel's threats. He kisses her passionately, but
Alex breaks free from him to follow Hel and play her part in "the
plan". Meanwhile Stefan pursues a tearful Katherine. Why did
he invite Laura to the ball? He must have wanted to hurt her,
meaning that she is still important to him. Laura appears behing
him, and the three of them stand on the balcony. Kat puts it together
that Stefan and Laura had a "relationship" and realizes that
he loves Laura still. That's the secret he's been keeping all this
time. "What do you two want of me?" she cries.
Stefan tries to approach her. "Stay away from me!"
She backs away, and the rail comes free. Kat falls backward,
screaming, and lands on the ground below. Nik and Robin rush to her,
followed by Mac.
Above, Stefan insists Laura leave before anyone finds her on the island.
At the same time, Luke, who's seen what happened, tells Alexis they have
to vamoose. She's confused, and he tells her something went badly
wrong. Monica, Bobbie and Tony all try to help Kat as Mac contacts help
from the mainland. A distraught Robin tries to call Jason, but
he's out and she leaves a message with Sonny. Stef realizes that the
railing was purposely loosened and informs Mac. A stricken Nik takes the
accident harder than anyone. He soon learns about the loosened railing
as well. Emily wishes that she could comfort him, but Robin is
there to do that. Edward is heartsick, after seeing Kat struggle
so hard throughout her life, to have it all come to this. When Mac
questions him, Stefan tells him that Luke Spencer was behind Katherine's
"downfall".
Back at Brenda's, Jax and Bren once again proclaim their love to one
another. Brenda wants to make love but a protective Jax wants her to
first recover from her plane crash injuries. Bren grumbles, but settles
for a nice neck rub. Later, she awakens from a snooze hearing a radio
announcement of the happenings at Windemere. She calls Jason's number,
presumably on Robin's behalf, and Sonny picks up. Though he says
nothing, Bren knows that it's not Jason she's speaking to.
Luke literally drags Alex into his office and tells her that Kat took
the fall instead of Helena. Alex breaks down in anger and guilt,
flailing at Luke. Crying, she insists she wants to confess her part in
the crime. Luke grabs her and keeps her from going anywhere. Alexis
cries hysterically that she doesn't care what happens to them.
"Well, I care!" Luke hollers. Calming a bit, in a dead
voice she promises not to reveal Luke's part in the mess, but that does
not satisfy him. In a callous manner, he explains all the reasons why
she should keep her mouth shut. Confessing won't bring Katherine
back, and perhaps she could even look at it as a way of saving Stefan
future heartbreak. While granting that "Blondie" did not
deserve her fate, that it might even be deemed tragic, the fact is that
it was an accident. Luke's covered all the bases, fixing it so his alibi
will stick, and the most important thing now is that Alexis not blow the
whole deal.
Laura gazes at the family photos, happy to be home, still shaken by the
night's events. Luke enters and happily surprised, embraces her. She
tells him she wants to come home to stay. She also wants to make
love. Alone a bit later, she calls Spoon Island and tells Stef how sorry
she is about the accident. It was no accident, he tells her.
Her husband to blame for Katherine's fall. He promises that Luke will be
repaid a thousand-fold. Laura doesn't believe him, but quickly leaves
the house. Luke enters the room to find an unfinished not telling that
she's goneback to Carolina to pack up. Closing--Katherine is rushed into
GH emergency. Alexis hurries in, trying to learn her condition. At the
penthouse, Renaldo tells Sonny he has a visitor. Brenda enters,
"Hi, Sonny."
May 26 - As everyone awaited news on Katherine's
condition, Stefan told Mac that Luke was responsible for
Katherine's accident and Robin comforted Nikolas. Alexis tried to
console Stefan and acted as if she had heard the news about
Katherine on the radio. An unconscious Katherine was visited by Helena,
who also swore revenge on Alexis. Katherine soon died leaving
everyone, especially Stefan, Nikolas, Robin and Mac, devastated.
Nikolas overheard Stefan asking a dead Katherine for forgiveness.
Meanwhile, Sonny told Brenda the truth that he left her in order
to ensure her safety. Sonny was moved when Brenda recalled all she had
gone through as a result of his actions. Sonny and Brenda then
discussed some of good and bad things about their history together
as they brought their relationship to a close. Brenda then went to
Jax's penthouse and told him about her visit to Sonny. Brenda made
it clear that she loved only Jax and that Sonny was in her past.
Meanwhile, Alan got Amy into his car to ask her not to tell anyone about
his pill problem. Seeing them alone together, Monica suspected that Amy
and Alan were having an affair.
