November 28, 1996 A Thanksgiving to Remember" - Edward’s Dream
Brenda bounces into the Jaxs' living room, handing Jax a drink. They kiss as she is excited to spend her first holiday with her new husband. She asks if Australians celebrate Thanksgiving. Jax says his family never did till they moved to Alaska, but not the dainty little bird she is used to, his mom would go out and shoot a moose!
There's a knock at the door. It's Miranda, accompanied by violin music. As the girls turn and chorus “HI!", Jax is stunned as he listens to their personal and way too friendly conversation. Sonny appears with a platter of moose burgers. Brenda and Miranda complain to Sonny that Jax won’t pick one of them. Sonny says that is because Jax is a wimp. Sonny has brought duelling pistols. They start to count off and Brenda hugs and kisses Sonny. At "ten" both Miranda and Brenda have their pistols leveled at Jax, who shouts, "WAIT! I can explain!" He wakes up and finds he is on an airplane. Later, he remembers Miranda and Brenda.
Kevin is watching football, sharing popcorn with Sigmund. Lucy comes in with some veggies and is amazed he's watching football. He belches. Lucy sits next to him asking for romantic music but he is not listening, because he's standing up and cheering at the game. The doorbell rings. It's Felicia, accompanied by the same violin music. Then Tom arrives, followed by Mac, then Katherine.
Behind her, Felicia is drawing stick figures at the easel. Kevin closes the door, Kevin looks at Felicia's drawings, "I'd call it minimalist." Katherine, stuffing her face, admires Lucy's outfit. Lucy looks down, and she's naked! Felicia goes off to get her something to wear, and Lucy snatches a tablecloth to wrap herself in. Kevin excuses himself to go check on Felicia. Lucy doesn't think that's a good idea but Mac stops her to hold her for questioning in the abduction of Sigmund Coe Collins. She says that's actually Collins Coe, and the duck came of his own free will but Sigmund isn't there.
Katherine is stuffing herself with duck. She belches. Mac pulls off his shoe, which is actually a phone to put out an APB on the missing duck. Felicia runs out of the bedroom and jumps on Lucy, "He's coming, he's coming, he's after me!" Tom saunters up behind, holds up a piece of celery, and asks, "care for a stalk?"
Kevin says, "Felicia! Answer the phone!" It rings, and she answers it, no one is there. Kevin laughs, Felicia runs, Kevin chases her, Katherine asks for plum sauce, Mac is still on the shoe, describing the duck with arm and hand gestures, and Tom is munching his celery. Felicia and Kevin run around Lucy. Lucy asks "Are you Ryan?" He answers no. Oh, good, then he's Kevin. No, he’s Devin.
Kevin, uh, Devin, remarks, "That guy and his secrets! I can't believe he didn't tell you about the rest of us, there could be ten, maybe twelve." He counts on his fingers... Kevin, Devin, Evan, Ryan, Tryin, Cryin, Dyin, Lyin, and Bruce! Lucy is horrified and covers her ears.
Felicia starts to run, and Devin chases her. Katherine tells Tom he must try the duck, so he does. Mac is still on the shoe. Tom says "Fat little sucker, isn't he?" and Lucy screams. She's actually asleep on the couch and Kevin is sketching her. Lucy jerks awake. Lucy wants to see what he's drawing. She doesn't believe she looks that peaceful to him considering the dream she was having. He comments that she smells a little bit like apples, and she immediately panics over the stuffing. They kiss. There's a tapping at the door. Lucy worries, did Kevin invite anyone? It's Sigmund who apparently forgot his key.
Later, a delivery boy comes with a tray of salami and beer. Lucy is watching a football game with running commentary on the cheerleaders' outfits and the cute butts of the players, while Kevin tries to sort out why there's a tray of salami and a sixpack of beer. Lucy explains that she was worried that he was going to want these "manly man" kind of things. He denies he's that different and they hug and kiss, but Lucy sneaks another peek at the game.
Katherine is enthusiastic about how the meal is coming along. Mac asks if Miranda is in the kitchen. Katherine says she left. Mac is disappointed. He clicks on the TV and asks Katherine to get him some popcorn. When she brings it, she tries to climb in his lap, but Mac is so engrossed in the game he doesn't notice, jumps up to cheer and dumps her onto the floor. She's hurt her elbow. Miranda, in football shirt, comes in with beers and sits next to Mac. They push Katherine's head down so they can see better. She goes off to get the doorbell. Suddenly she's dressed like June Cleaver, hair and all. Pink shirtwaist, pearls, the works. Miranda is in Mac's lap and they are enjoying the game. At the door, it's Brian kissing a scantily-clad Lucy. Katherine protests, "You are the Face of Deception! She is the competition!"
Lucy sings, "He wants to marry me!" Katherine protests that she can't marry Brian, she's going to marry Kevin. Miranda comments that she could marry them both. Lucy invites Katherine to be her matron of honor. Suddenly Katherine is in a cop uniform. They all chorus at Katherine, "What's for dinner?" Katherine thinks she started to cook something, and Lucy tells her that the cook's daughter has to sing for her supper. Katherine protests that she doesn't sing. They all chorus, "SING!" Katherine is in Shirley Temple outfit and curls. She sings and dances to Moonlight Bay while Brian, Lucy, Mac and Miranda look on.
Mac comes in and kisses Katherine awake. She tells him about her dream, though she observes with Lucy in it, it was more of a nightmare. They talk about Robin, who is at least with Jason. Miranda has made herself scarce, so they start to cuddle on the couch, which I would have thought was a mistake, since Miranda could turn up any time.
Ruby attempts to kick Sonny out of Kelly's which is closed for their annual feed-the-poor time. He's brought a message from Robin who is dishing up food at a homeless shelter. He's also brought a check, and he tells Ruby to go get some rest, he and his henchmen will continue to serve the meals today.
Edward is relaxing and Alan, Monica and Emily come in with some wood for the fireplace. It's nice and nippy and and crisp and wonderful. They stand in front of the fireplace hugging. Emily hopes they won't have pizza again. Alan promises that it is going to be a traditional, old-fashioned Thanksgiving.
Sonny arrives as the violins play. Sonny puts his hand out for Reginald to kiss. Edward is huffing about Sonny and that Jax character stealing his business. Emily goes to Sonny and hugs him. Justus bops on in. He has all the deep dark nasty secrets on Edward. Sonny is delighted to know that Edward whacked Damian Smith! Sonny shows the file to the family. Ned comes in wearing an Eastern monk's robe talking about peace, harmony and oneness with the universe not that he has discovered his spiritual path.
Brenda and Jax come in, wishing everyone a happy Thanksgiving. Reginald comes bouncing in, "They're here!" The family all assumes their positions. It's President and Mrs. A.J. Quartermaine. Keesha is in pillbox hat and Chanel suit, very Kennedy-esque. "Ruffles and Flourishes" plays. Edward shouts, "This is a NIGHTMARE!" and they chorus, "SHUT UP, EDWARD!"
Lila wheels in. "Good news, everyone, good news! I just spoke to Tracy. She's coming home, and she's bringing Dylan with her!" Edward covers his eyes. Jason drives his motorcycle into the room. Lila hopes he'll stay for dinner. Emily sweet-talks Edward as she wants a tattoo. She tells him that Justus and Sonny have taught her to use surveillance equipment and she has taped all of his private conversations. She then threatens if she doesn’t get her way, she will turn the tapes over to Dara. Alan and Monica are proud of her as she is a true Quartermaine now.
Keesha informs them that the CIA has checked into Edward's background. It turns out he has another illegitimate son. Sonny grins at Edward: "Hey-ya Pops, how's it going?" Alan exclaims that he has always wanted another brother. They hug.
Monica was having so much fun she forgot to give Edward his medical results. It's Good News! He needs surgery right away! Alan's hand is all fixed and he's ready. Alan puts his claw up. He hopes he remembers how to do surgery. Alan asked Jason if he would like to assist? After all, he was pre-med. They gather around Edward. He mumbles and mutters. He's asleep in the chair with Reginald and Lila watching him. Edward wakes up with Lila watching.
Ned comes in, "Happy Thanksgiving." The family comes in. Ned asks Emily if she's happy about her parents' reconciliation. She changes the subject. Justus and Keesha come in, and AJ starts to talk business till Keesha stops him. Reginald announces that Cook has resigned. Someone sullied her kitchen by making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. "I was hungry, okay?" A.J. sputters. The turkey is still half-frozen. Alan declares, "Well, I think we know what that means!"
May 31, 1999 Carly’s Nightmare of marrying AJ
Carly lets herself into Jason's penthouse and checks out Hannah's decorating choices and sees the overexposed picture of Michael, Jason and herself. She then flashes back to the night of her engagement party and an argument she had with Jason in which she threatened him by saying that she'll just wait for the next time he gets thrown in jail, and she and AJ will sue for full custody of Michael. Jason just looks bored. Back in the present, she curls up on the sofa (in his jacket) and falls asleep. Fade to black, and the rest is a dream episode.
Carly wakes up to a banging at the door. Surprise! Surprise! It's AJ, and not too thrilled to have found his bride in his brother's apartment. "Let me explain, AJ." He says, "I come out of the shower to find my wife gone, what do you call that? Foreplay?" Carly claims she didn't feel well and Jason has these pills from Europe. AJ surprisingly doesn't buy this. He claims he has figured out her plan, even if Carly hasn't yet. Marry him, drive him back to the bottle, divorce him, get a huge settlement, take Michael and go back to Jason.
AJ throws Hannah at Carly and then makes a dig about the new decor. AJ says he still wants Carly and grabs her. She pushes him away. He starts threatening and then dredges up what she was like before she moved in with Tony. Within seconds, AJ is in his bathrobe and she is naked before him. She says, "Would you like to have sex with me?" and he says, "In Jason's apartment? Ooooo, yeah."
Carly comes down the Quartermaine staircase in a Lady Diana type suit and a pillbox hat. Emily is sporting a skimpy outfit and a fur coat. Carly demands she remove the coat, as it is hers. Emily says not any more, since you left it at Jason's, he decided to give it to me. Before long, they are sniping at each other. Emily makes a comment about the way Carly is dressed and Carly says she's dressed that way for AJ.
Then Carly begs Emily to take her with her, Emily just leaves. Carly can hear Monica and Alan fighting from the living room. The subject of course, is AJ's marriage to Carly. Alan says it is Monica's fault AJ married Carly, because, as everyone knows, men marry women who remind them of their mothers . Monica demands a divorce and Carly bursts in and says they are nothing alike because, unlike Monica, she is a devoted mother. Monica's reply, "Put a sock in it!"
Carly flounces out of the room and runs into AJ, who looks her up and down then hauls out a tape measure to gauge the distance from floor to hemline, and proclaims her skirt 1/2 inch too short. After a discussion about her "great" legs. she complains of queasiness and says she'll feel better if she takes Michael for a walk. AJ says she's only allowed to wave at him twice a day, because she's a psychopath, it's in the Prenup.
Then Edward comes in with The Prenup, quoting chapter and verse and claiming she signed it. Carly protests that it must have been a forgery, and in rolls Lila and says that Edward forged her name on their Prenup. After laughing at Carly for a while, AJ says, "If my wife was any dumber, we'd have to water her." Then Dr. Smithson comes out of the hall closet and says she and her husband have been waiting for an excuse to send Carly back to Ferncliff. AJ hands her a wad of cash and says, "Don't take her now, but don't go far away!"
Next, Carly comes downstairs in another hat and dowdier suit. Emily and some Jason-type hunk are playing pool in the foyer. Emily is playing the old Carly to the hilt and hasn't told Mr. Studly her name. Emily makes a comment about Carly's taste and they depart for Jake's. Carly picks up a pool cue and starts to play, when a 7ish redheaded child comes into the room and tells her off. "Michael?" He says she must be mistaken. Then AJ walks in and says it is Michael, they've just changed his name to AJ III (Tray). The kid is a dyed-in-the-wool brat. Edward enters and waxes poetic about the imminent arrival of Jason. Tray says, "Excuse me, I want nothing to do with that brain damaged thug who kept me away from my father for over a year."
AJ beams and offers the kid $1000. Tray asks if he can buy another tie for his collection, and by the way, has he mentioned lately that it's a privilege to bear his father's name? Carly is dismayed. The doorbell rings and Edwards answers (as Reginald and Letitia have eloped!). Jason and Hannah enter, warmly welcomed by Edward. Hannah offers to slap that stupid hat off Carly's head. She and Jason start kissing in front of everyone, then Jason introduces her as "Hannah, my fiancée."
Again, Carly is dismayed, and Edwards starts drooling. Carly and Hannah begin another slagging match. Carly says, "Jason may marry you, but he'll never father your children!" Voilà! Hannah is nine months pregnant. Edward is still fawning. Jason says the baby will be called Michael and throws Carly's motives back at her. Ned arrives and announces that there's no more Q fortune to fight about, and that when AJ became CEO of ELQ he pulled his money out of the company and invested elsewhere. The doorbell rings, it's a collection agency, two burly men try to pry Carly's diamond rings off her fingers.
Everyone's at Kelly's. Carly is hauling in the family's bags. Kelly's is under new management, and no one knows who the new management is. Edward reminds everyone that it's traditional for the Q's to take up residence at Kelly's every time they lose their fortune. AJ plants a big wet one on Carly and tells her to rest up, it's going to be a LONG night (wink wink nudge nudge). The new owner walks in. It's Sonny "the smarmy hoodlum" (Edward's words). He throws them out. Carly whines, "My mom would never sell this place." and right on cue, in walks Bobbie. Bobbie announces that she has no time to run the place since she wants to spend every moment with her grandson. Carly is thrilled!
Edward comments that AJ III is depriving some village out there of an idiot. In walk Hannah and Jason with their own Michael. Bobbie exclaims, "There's my newest and favourite grandson!" As she and Hannah have gotten so close, Bobbie has adopted her. Hannah is more interesting, prettier, more fun to spend time with, and they never argue!!! Carly begs Jason to step in and convince Sonny to let them stay, he begins listing all the people who are more important to him than her. Sonny caves, on the condition that the whole family works for room and board. Edward suggests Carly does the work for everyone.
Carly is scrubbing floors to pay off the food being eaten by Edward, Alan and AJ. They are picking on Carly when a 12-ish redheaded kid (Tray) arrives, whining about how a violet anti-social damaged criminal beat him up. Carly says, "Jason beat you up?" In walks the other Michael, all done up like his daddy. Everyone agrees that everything wrong is Carly's fault. Tray wouldn't be a spineless weasel if only Carly had brought him back to Jason as planned.
Then Bobbie and Hannah (dressed in mother-daughter outfits) haul in a giant cocktail shaker full of money to bail the Q's out of their mis-fortune. Edward comes out of the kitchen saying, "Is that money I smell?" Hannah hands bunches of it out to everyone except Carly. Bobbie and Hannah go off for a mother-daughter facial at Deception and Monica begs Jason to take her with him. He agrees if she promises not to speak to him (Carly has given him a headache). Monica is just grateful tobe in Jason's presence. Everyone leaves to count the money and divide it "equally". Sonny orders Carly to scrub the floors and get the gum out from under the counter.
Back in the foyer. Carly is wearing another staid suit, in comes Emily on her way to Las Vegas. Carly wants to go with her. She says, "You're living my life and I want it back!" Gum cracking, Emily says, "Even if I wanted to, those clothes." Carly offers to put on some of her old clothes. "Can't", cracks Emily. "It's in the Prenup!" She departs.
Carly enters the living room, thinking she sees AJ slumped on the floor drinking. It's a "grown up" Tray, chugging Vodka straight from the bottle. AJ arrives with a full case, claiming Michael's first year with Jason ruined him. AJ offers to make new babies and grabs Carly. She runs from the room, and can't get the front door open. Finally it comes free, but the force fells her and she looks up to see Jason and the "real" baby Michael. Jason holds his hand out to her to help her up.
Carly wakes up to find Jason with her. She hugs him for all he's worth in her happiness that it was all a dream. She says well, it's worked, she has AJ but she doesn't want him. Jason thinks that she never went through with the wedding and wants to know what she said to AJ. She says I left him a note saying that she'd explain later. He said, "AJ's ok with that?" Eventually she gets through to him that she actually did marry him, sans Prenup. The final scene is her standing there in that way she does, smirk firmly in place, "Well, what are we going to do now?"

February 26, 2003 Fan February Classic Fantasy Episode of Sonny going to heaven
As Sonny stands on the Docks, Jason warns Sonny NOT to stand out in the open. But, as Sonny refuses to take Jason's advice, hidden gunmen open fire and Sonny is shot! As Jason desperately calls 911, Sonny takes off for the Pearly Gates, where Sonny is surprised to find that Luke is the gatekeeper. Luke explains that Scott got in a lucky punch and Luke landed in the Here-After and is currently taking St. Peter's place while Pete takes a vacation.
As Luke looks up Sonny's file, Sonny states his presumption that Sonny is headed to some place really HOT! Luke announces that, since a lot of people have been interceding for Sonny, Sonny is going to get a chance to go back and make some RIGHT decisions - and THEN Sonny COULD land in heaven, rather than the alternative place. Luke announces that Sonny will be given some tests and, in each instance, Sonny is SUPPOSED to do what the OTHER people want!
In the first test, Sonny goes to see Alexis and Alexis hesitantly informs Sonny that Kristina IS Sonny's daughter. Alexis tells Sonny that, since Sonny is in a dangerous business, Alexis wants Sonny to keep his distance from his daughter while Kristina is growing up, but Alexis would be willing to arrange periodic visits.
Then, Alexis announces, when Kristina is older, and IF Sonny wished to do so, Sonny would be allowed to inform Kristina that Sonny IS her father. Instead, Sonny blows up and tells Alexis that Sonny demands custody of his daughter. Luke appears and informs Sonny that Sonny has failed his first test. But an unrepentant Sonny declares: "I will burn in hell before I give up my child!"
Next, Luke takes Sonny to Sonny's penthouse and reminds Sonny that he is supposed to do what he is told! Sonny discovers that Jason is now the Mob King Pin and Sonny is Jason's Enforcer. Jason decides to wipe out some of the competition, but Sonny disagrees. As soon as Sonny refuses to take orders from Jason and starts barking out orders instead, Luke again appears and announces that Sonny has just failed his second test.
In the next test, Skye arrives at Sonny's Penthouse and seductively suggests that they get in bed together in order to help Skye get revenge on Jax and on the Quartermaines. While Sonny agrees that Jax did do Skye wrong, Sonny turns down Skye's proposition because Sonny does not trust Skye. When Sonny orders Skye to put her clothes back on and get out of his house, Luke announces that Sonny has just failed another test.
In the next test, Carly orders Benny to bump off Taggert, but Sonny tells Carly not to give any orders to Benny. When Jason enters with a report on Taggert, Sonny orders Carly to go to her room while Sonny and Jason talk. But, when Carly refuses to leave the room, Luke reappears with a reminder and Sonny decides that Carly can stay. Jason announces that Mike Corbin remarried Florence Campbell after Mike left Sonny's mother, Adela. Since Gia is Mike's daughter and Sonny's sister, that makes Taggert Sonny's step-brother.
Sonny heads off to take personal care of Taggert but ends up back with Luke. Luke warns Sonny to learn to deal with his new-found relationship with Taggert the same way that Luke learned to deal with the fact that Luke's wife had given birth to a Cassadine! Sonny pulls out his gun when he meets with Taggert on the docks but declares that, while Sonny COULD shoot Taggert, he is going to try something different.
But, then, Taggert informs Sonny that Taggert has ALWAYS known that Mike Corbin was Gia's father! Sonny angrily threatens to make Taggert wish he WAS dead and take away everything Taggert loves, including framing Taggert as a dirty cop. Luke suddenly arrives and announces that Sonny was SUPPOSED to forgive Taggert, and that Sonny has failed yet another test!
In the next test, the Quartermaines are all assembled at the Quartermaine Mansion for the media circus developing after AJ wins custody of little Michael. Edward, meanwhile, makes plans to turn the Quartermaine family circus into a reality show. Carly arrives with Michael, flanked by bodyguards, and refuses to tell Michael that AJ is Michael's father. Carly also refuses to dismiss the bodyguards. Michael spots Sonny and runs to Sonny. AJ tells Sonny that it is now up to Sonny to inform Michael that AJ is really Michael's father and has loved Michael all along.
In addition, AJ wants Sonny to confess to Michael that Sonny stole Michael away from Michael's REAL father - AJ instead, Sonny tells Michael that Sonny NEVER stole Michael away from anyone and that Michael will NOT have to live with AJ! Luke shows up again and announces that Sonny just failed another test! Luke points out that Sonny is a hypocrite because Sonny wants to raise Sonny's daughter, Kristina, but Sonny does NOT want AJ to be allowed any time with AJ's son - Michael! Luke counts off hypocrisy, pride, vanity and wrath as Sonny's downfall!
Luke then takes Sonny back to Sonny's Penthouse. When Sonny goes inside, he finds Carly waiting there for him with Sonny's son. When Carly hands the baby to Sonny, Sonny suddenly puts the baby down and rushes out of the apartment. When Sonny walks outside, he lands at Luke's desk again and Luke announces that Sonny made it! Sonny is in heaven with his wife and child. Sonny asks if that means that Carly and the baby are both dead, but Luke explains that 'heaven' is a state of mind. He informs that Sonny can have whatever he needs to be happy, including time with his wife and son!
Sonny confides to Luke that Sonny is not supposed to be happy but Luke tells Sonny that the mob boss is wrong. He offers Sonny a choice, Sonny can go back to earth or stay in heaven. Luke warns Sonny that, IF Sonny chooses to go back to earth, there would be NO guarantee that Sonny would not end up in hell on the next trip! Sonny decides to return to earth and Luke beams Sonny back to the docks. Before leaving, Luke advises Sonny to pull back on the wrath and pride.
After Luke leaves, Jason arrives again and again warns Sonny that the mob boss should not be standing out in the open on the Docks. This time, Sonny takes Jason's advice and leaves the waterfront before anyone can open fire. When Sonny returns to the penthouse, he is happy to see Michael and Carly, waiting there for him.
November 12, 2018 Sonny dreams of a different life
It was pouring rain on a dark night in 1985 in Brooklyn. A man was on his knees with his hands raised while a teen boy held his gun on the man. The man pleaded for his life, and he suggested that the boy was there due to Scully's orders. "Is this the life you want?" the man asked. The boy fired the gun.
Sonny woke up with a start and looked around. He had fallen asleep in the chair in Jeanette's house. Margaux was sound asleep on the sofa. Sonny walked to the window and raised the blinds. There was a thunderstorm, and as he looked outside, Sonny saw the reflection of the young teen with the gun. It was a young Sonny. The dream replayed, but this time, Mike stopped the boy from shooting Marino by telling the boy he was better than that. Mike managed to take the gun away.
Sonny woke up with a start. He was in the chair but the furniture and the photos around the living room were different. No one was asleep on the sofa. There was a photo of Dante and other family photos. A framed photo showed Sonny in a policeman's uniform. Olivia walked into the room and wondered why her husband was awake after working two shifts. She mentioned the trip they would be taking to Port Charles to see their son.
Olivia and Sonny sat at the breakfast table, although Sonny wasn't very hungry. He declared that he had a lot on his mind. He was short with Olivia, who reminded him that she expected him to make an effort with their son, who only wanted Sonny's approval. She loved her kids, and she expected Sonny to prove that he did, too.
Sonny and Olivia entered Pozzulo's, but Sonny was anxious to leave when the place appeared empty. Olivia headed to the back office and found their son Dante with his wife, Sam. Olivia hugged them, and they headed back into the restaurant for dinner. The couples made small talk, and Dante stressed that he had a good life in Port Charles with "lucrative opportunities." He added that Sonny wouldn't understand that.
Ava and Julian arrived, and Dante made introductions all around. Ava revealed that she and Julian were "fond" of Dante, and Julian applauded Dante's many good qualities. Julian announced that everyone could have dinner on the house, but Sonny quickly stated that he could pay his own way. The siblings headed into their office, and Dante asked what was wrong with Sonny.
Sonny called the Jeromes scum and talked about how dirty they were. Dante belittled Sonny's rank at the police department and declared that he had nothing to show after being on the force for 25 years. The men argued. Sonny spat that his money was clean, and completely offended, he jumped up and demanded that Olivia follow him.
Sonny found himself at the Port Charles Police Station, showed his badge, and asked to speak to the commissioner. He saw Alexis, who told him she was the district attorney. Anna emerged and shook Sonny's hand. She was the commissioner. She snarled in disgust that Dante was charming, and she and Sonny headed to the interrogation room to talk privately.
Sonny talked about the Jeromes and how they'd taken over Port Charles. He called the town a "smuggler's paradise" and noted how the siblings had a cut of everything. He wanted to know when Anna would put them in prison. Anna snapped that it wasn't his business, although she agreed that the Jeromes were "despicable." She called them "the devils I know," but she didn't want to discuss them.
Sonny ran into Alexis on the way out. He informed her that Anna was on the take and didn't appear to care about her city. Alexis told him that Anna's daughter had died from AIDS, and Anna had never been the same since.
Back at Pozzulo's, Olivia made small talk with Dante and Sam, but Dante cited some business he had to attend to, so he left. Olivia blamed Sonny for starting trouble. Dante stopped to chat with Ava and Julian, and they talked about the business. Julian declared that ELQ was in their pocket. A knock on the door revealed Jason, who announced that he'd had no problems. He and Ava shared a kiss.
Sonny returned to the restaurant but Dante was no longer there. "Cut him loose," Sonny demanded to Julian. Sonny revealed that his mission would be to ruin Julian's life. The mobster asked if that was a threat. Ava stated that they had associates to take care of threats for them.
Carly stormed in. "It's over," she shouted. She was angry about the Jeromes' plan to trap her son. Michael had gone to Singapore to head the ELQ office there, and she would make the Jeromes pay for forcing Michael to leave town. She added that her husband A.J. would see to it that they were indicted because the Jeromes were garbage.
Carly began to yell at Jason, but Ava declared that Carly was the one who had ruined Michael's life. Jason had to separate the two women as they taunted each other.
Dante met with DEA Agent Jordan Ashford at the pier, and he handed her a flash drive intended to ruin the Jeromes. She advised him that she wouldn't reveal his name but only cite him as a "classified source." She was curious about his betrayal of the Jeromes, and Dante admitted that he'd done it for his father, who was a cop and despised the Jeromes. Jordan thought Dante's father would be proud.
Sonny took Carly out for coffee. She mentioned that her always-drunk husband was the CEO of ELQ, and he had been in cahoots with the Jeromes. Michael was smarter, and he'd gone away after they'd fought. She had driven him away. Sonny remarked that he had three kids.
Sonny returned to the police station to apologize to Anna for judging her too harshly. DEA Agent Ashford walked in with Ava and Julian, who were in police custody. Ava screamed that she was innocent, and Julian accused Sonny of lying. Jordan announced that she had evidence against them, and she didn't understand why Sonny was being blamed.
Jason managed to sneak into the interrogation room to speak to Julian, who ordered him to eliminate the person responsible for getting him arrested.
Sonny met with Dante at the restaurant and guessed that his son didn't need the Jeromes and would be taking over their business. Sonny tried to talk him out of it, but Dante declared that Sonny didn't know anything about him. Sonny insisted that once upon a time, he'd wanted the same life that Dante had, but the power, riches, lies, and breaking rules would have cost too much. "You're the best of me, son," Sonny said. Dante retorted that they were both good at strategy, but Dante wasn't afraid to use it. Dante had to meet someone, and Sonny overheard him making plans to meet someone at the pier.
Sonny found Carly at the pub, but she had switched from coffee to beer, which she admitted was less classy to the Quartermaines. Sonny suggested she join her son in Singapore, and he sat down at the bar beside her. He admitted that he'd just had a fight with his son in a bad way, and he wouldn't be able to tell his wife. Carly suggested he take his own advice and apologize or join her in a drink. Olivia arrived shortly after, and she and Carly introduced themselves. Carly admitted that Sonny had rescued her earlier from the Jeromes, but he had gone off to see Dante again.
Sam found Dante finishing up a conversation on the phone at Pozzulo's. Sam was concerned about the Jeromes being arrested, and she thought it was their chance to leave town and be free. Dante disagreed. He told her that he was in the clear, and they could take over the Jerome operation. The pair began to argue, and Sam declared that she missed the man that Dante had been in the past.
Dante told Sam she could leave, and he'd find someone else. He walked out. Sam removed her wedding ring and placed it on the bar. She saw Jason and told him her marriage was over. Sam began to remove her diamond earrings, and she admitted that she had no idea what she'd do next. She thought she would go to Montana, and she thought that Jason should do his own thing, too. Sam suggested he replace his motorcycle and ride away. He received a message about a meeting.
Jason and Dante met at the pier, and Dante shot Jason. He tossed Jason's gun into the water. Dante explained that it was nothing personal, but Jason had been loyal to the Jeromes. Sonny showed up and saw Dante about to shoot Jason again. "Don't do it," Sonny shouted. Dante admitted that Sonny had been right about the Jeromes. They were violent and sloppy, but he'd sold them out. Jason was the last obstacle. It was what he wanted and the life that Sonny had been afraid to have. Sonny tried to grab the gun, and he and Dante struggled. The gun went off, and Dante fell to the ground. Olivia arrived and, in tears, knelt next to her son. Sonny dropped the gun.
Sonny was asleep in the chair at Jeanette's house. He saw the scene replayed from his youth, and Mike trying to stop him from shooting Marino. He advised Mike that the choice to shoot or not was up to the kid. He advised his younger self that there would be a price to pay, no matter what. "I know," a young Sonny said. Sonny woke up and looked around. He walked to the window and opened the blind. The kid was gone, and he only saw his own reflection in the window.
