DVD #2A 4/29 John confronts Marlena after he has overheard her telling Bo that he is Stefano (at the end of the #1B). He knows she must have seen his tattoo. Bo calls Shane with the news that both Victor and “Stefano” are after Marlena. John begins to show his dark side. Marlena attempts to escape in the car they took up, but John notices and jumps in as she takes off. They have a crash after spinning the car out of control.
4/30 Bo, Hope and Shane barge into an empty cabin with their guns drawn. Hope still isn’t clear why Marlena thinks that John is Stefano; she finds it very unbelievable.
John and Marlena are both knocked unconscious. John wakes up and sees Marlena is out cold, and tenderly begs for her to be okay as he looks at the cut on her forehead. Then she remembers that he is Stefano and starts yelling at him to stay away from her and she jumps out of the car and tries to run away. He chases her and grabs her and points out this is what she gets for not wearing a seat belt. He yells at her not to try to run away from her again. Marlena tries to tell John that the tattoo doesn’t exactly mean he is Stefano, but he is convinced because of prior knowledge about the farmhouse and her children.

Bo and Shane investigate a noise coming from the cabin. Hope stays behind in the jeep to guard. He says there is nothing around there to keep them warm. He suggests they hold each other, and she is adamant that she can’t do that! He tells her that before he knew anything about himself, he knew that he cared for her.
She admits that she feels like he is more John Black than Stefano. He asks doesn’t that change anything? She says it does night. He points out that it is going to be a long cold night and she might freeze and he doesn’t want that. He asks her to just let him be John Black for tonight. He slowly puts his arms around her, though she startles and is hesitant about his touch.

Just as soon as John runs off, Marlena turns around and finds Victor behind her. She says that after everything she has been through, all Victor wants is “Stefano”. She complains about “Stefano” kidnapping her. Victor doesn’t believe that she doesn’t know where John is.
