Just recently she gained the power of Telekinesis with a special power connection with Phoenix.

History: Betsy Broddock put her vast telepathic powers to work as a member of the British arm of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Psi Division. Later for a brief time, she even became the hero Captain Britain II. But after the villainous Slaymaster captured, beat, and blinded Betsy, she retired from superheroics.

When Betsy was abducted by the villain Mojo, she was given bionic eyes. Mojo, who only cared about his TV rating used mind control over her to lure the X-Men from their dimension to in front of his rolling cameras. Betsy eventually shook off the mind control and joined the ranks of Xavier's students, the X-Men. There, she went under the code name Psylocke.

Later, Psylocke was taken prisoner by the ninja group known as the Hand. There, she was brainwashed and switched bodies with an assassin called Lady Mandarin, and assumed the latter's persona. She was sent back to the X-Men and eventually regained her original personality.

A relationship with the man Warren Worthington III (a.k.a. Archangel) started to take shape. But when Psylocke was almost killed by the mutant Sabretooth, she survived only due to the magical energies of the Crimson Dawn. Now a side effect with the Crimson Dawn is taking place. Her personality is once again being altered, and the happiness that she found with Warren is threatened.

As Psylocke battled the evil Shadow King, she made a great sacrafice. She was able to contain the Shadow King in the Astral Plane, trapped in her mind. If Psylocke uses her telepathic powers at all, it could very well release the Shadow King and pose a great threat to everyone. Since the loss of her powers, Psylocke and Warren retired from heroics.

They were recently summoned to return to the X-Men and help against the battle of Apocalypse. It appears she will remain with the X-Men and more changes for her are in store. Psylocke is an active member of the X-Men. She appears have a special power connection with Phoenix which somehow gained her telekinesis. But she also just lost her ability of telepathy.
