Chapter 8: Some Things Will Never Change

Chapter 8:

Sheridan and Luis lay on the couch, now awake. Luis was thinking about what life would be like when Sheridan was his wife. Sheridan was in deep worry. Both Hank and Beth had betrayed them and tried to separate them, who knew who would try something this time. "Luis..." "Yeah." She sat up and looked into his eyes, "Let's go away somewhere. Let's just get away from Harmony, just the two of us."

"Where do you want to go, angel?" Luis asked. "I don't know... maybe Burmuda. Ethan told me it was great there, but I've never been there before." "What? Miss Big-shot Crane has never been to Burmuda?! Will the wonders ever seize?" Luis laughed. Sheridan shot him an annoyed look, but then smiled and said, "Luis. Do me a favor?" "Anything for you." Luis said, "Don't ever call me Crane." Sheridan smiled.

Luis just laughed. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Why not. Let's go to Burmuda." "Great," Sheridan said. She kissed him firmly on the lips, then laid her head back on his chest. "I can't wait to go there," Sheridan said. Luis sensed that being alone with him wasn't the only reason she wanted to get away from Harmony. "It's mroe than that, isn't it?" Luis asked. "What?" "I mean... there's more to this than you say. It's not just to spend time with me, is it?"

"Oh, don't be silly, Luis. Of course it's the only reason." Sheridan said, trying to hide her thoughts. "Don't lie to me Sheridan," Luis said, pulling back from her and looking at her, "I know there's something you're not telling me." Sheridan looked away from Luis and at the floor. "What is it, angel, please, tell me?" Luis asked, comfortingly. Sheridan's eyes began to well up with tears and she looked back at Luis, with a look of worry in her eyes. Luis then knew what wsa bothering her.

"It's about Jullian, isn't it?" Sheridan shook her head lightly and a few tears fell from her face. Luis cupped her face in his hands and wiped the tears away. "Damit, Sheridan. I can't stand to see you like this. I could just kill Jullian for doing this to you." Luis looked at Sheridan with a look of love and concern. "Hey..." Luis said as he laid her head against his chest, "Don't worry. Everything's gonna be all right." Sheridan's voice cracked as she spoke, "I'm just so afraid that I'll loose you."

"Sheri, you'll never loose me. I love you. Nothing can change that. And no one is going to stop us from being together." Sheridan lifted her head, and this time, when Luis looked into her eyes, he saw hope and courage. "You're right Luis. Nothing can keep us apart. But can we go on the trip anyway, just to escape from the world?" "Of course. Let's leave on Saturday." "Perfect," Sheridan smiled.

**A FEW DAYS LATER**

"Attention all passengers... flight 143 (# code for 'i love you') for Burmuda is now boarding all passengers in rows L through S (for Luis and Sheridan) at Gate P (for Passions)." "That's us, Luis. We had better get going!" Sheridan said. Luis and Sheridan picked up their bags and headed on the plane. As they waited in line, Sheridan said, "Think is so great. I can't wait to get out of Harmony and spend time with you." "Yeah, it's like... an early honeymoon." Luis said. "Yeah," Sheridan said as they handed their tickets in, "It will be so romantic."

They made their way to their seats and sat down. When they got into their seats, Sheridan noticed that Luis looked a bit disturbed by something. "Luis... are you okay?" "Yeah... yeah... I just am a little afraid of flying." "You are? But you went on a plane to Paris to save my life," Sheridan said. "Well, yeah, but my mind was more focused on making sure you were all right." Luis said sweetly.

Sheridan smiled. He never missed an opportunity to get to her. "Okay, well, just hold on to me and I'll help you through it," Sheridan said as she took his hand. Almost as soon as she had said it, the plane started. Luis jumped a little and Sheridan squeezed his hand tightly. Sheridan pulled his arm around her shoulder and she felt Luis relax. He felt so much better when she was there with him. She smiled up at him with a smile that took his breath away. Luis looked back at her with a Thank-you-so-much-and-I-love-you-more-than-anything look.

They got into the air and Sheridan said, "You see, nothing to worry about." Luis smiled at her lovingly. Sheridan yawned and Luis asked, "You tired?" "Oh, kind of." Sheridan said. "Go to sleep. I'll wake you up when we get there." Luis said. "What about your fear of flying?" Sheridan asked. "When you are in my arms, nothing can frighten me." Luis said.

Sheridan smiled at him, "God, Luis. Why do you have to be so sweet and wonderful?" Luis didn't have a chance to respond, because Sheridan pulled him into a deep kiss. Then, she laid her head on his shoulder and fell asleep. Luis soon fell asleep too and they awaited their arrival in Burmuda.

**A FEW HOURS LATER**

"Sheridan...Sheridan... wake up." "Mmmm?" Sheridan moaned as she opened her eyes. She saw Luis gazing down at her. "We're here." "Where?" Sheridan asked. Luis laughed, "Burmuda." "Oh yes, Burmuda. Right." Sheridan said and she got up. "Have a nice sleep," Luis said as he wrapped his arms around her waist. "Mmmm... when I'm in your arms, I can sleep through anything." Sheridan said.

They made their way out of the airport and took a cab out. "So Luis, where are we staying?" "We are staying at a beautiful resort called Paradise Island." "Well... it sounds like paradise." Sheridan laughed. "It will be... cause I'm here with you." "Geez Luis. You're driving me crazy with your sweet talk. I'm gonna have to punish you." Sheridan joked, seductively. "If that's the kind of punishment I think it is, remind me to be a bad boy more often." Luis said. They both laughed and the cab came to a stop.

Luis and Sheridan got out and looked around. The resort was beautiful. It was a beautiful resort right by the beach. The sand was a soft pink and the water was a beautiful blue. The sun was shining brightly and it made the place seem like heaven. "Wow, Luis. This is beautiful." "Not as beautiful as you," Luis said. Sheridan groaned out loud and said, "That's it, Luis. You are going to have to be punished. We are going to ther suite right away." "Okay," Luis said as he pulled her along.

They made their way into the hotel and checked in. Then, Luis dragged Sheridan up to their suite where he was supposed to give him his... "punishment." They stopped by the door and Sheridan was about to open it, when Luis stopped her. "Wait... this is supposed to be our early honeymoon. We have to do this right." Suddenly, he scooped her into his arms. Sheridan laughed when she realized what he waas doing. Luis opened the door and carried Sheridan in.

He made his way over to the bed and laid her down on it, coming down on top of her. Sheridan laughed out loud as Luis began to kiss her neck sensually. He began to sexually caress her body and well... you know the rest...
