Chapter 1:
Late at night when all the world
Is sleepin'
I stay up and think of you
And I wish on a star that somewhere you are thinking of me too
Cause I’m dreaming of you tonight
Till tomorrow I’ll be holding you tight
And there’s nowhere in the world I’d rather be
Than here in my room
Dreaming about you and me
(Selena, ‘Dreaming of You’)
The tears were a constant for him; they never ended, never stopped. He
looked down at her broken figure in front of him. The woman who meant
everything to him was falling apart; slowly but surely dying.
*Flashback*
She was more stable than he was. She held her composer and promised herself everything would be all right. She was so overwhelmed with the incredible love that she had been given that nothing else really seemed to matter to her. Still, a tear slid down her cheek. “Everything will be okay Luis. I know it will. I am strong, you know that,” She lifted his chin, smiled, and gave him a small peck on the cheek. “I know you are Sheridan. I know. And,” he finished in between sobs. “And we
will get through this together,” “Together,” she smiled and they fell asleep in each other’s arms.
Sheridan had ovarian cancer.
She had been to the gynecologist earlier that day; just a regular checkup. It had hit her like a ton of bricks; how could this be possible? She had felt her life was just fitting together; all pieces fit and she was more happy then she ahd ever been. Her ultimate fear of losing it all seemed to e coming true.
*End Flashback*
Sheridan woke up groggily the next day. She was getting weaker and weaker by the minute. But she still felt like she was the luckiest woman alive. She smiled when she remembered the day she had realized it.
*Flashback*
They were on the beach on a warm summer night. They summer breeze took
Sheridan back as they walked hand in hand down the shoreline. Their new
found relationship kept them both in high spirits and in wonderfully giddy moods all the time. Luis had told her that this would be a special day for them and they had been together since morning. Luis surprised her at her cottage with breakfast in bed and a dozen red roses. They spent the whole day looking at pictures and sharing memories from their childhoods. They laughed, watched romance movies, snuggled in each other’s arms; it was perfect.
Luis took her to the pier later that night where an end of the summer dance was taking place on the pavilion in front of the beach. All of Harmony was there; Sheridan and Luis had had a wonderful evening.. Sheridan hadn’t seen him for a few minutes and was wondering where he had been. Then, Luis asked her to take a walk down the beach to show her something very important. She gladly accepted.
They strolled down the beach hand in hand. “So, what was it that you said was so important that we had to take this walk?,” Sheridan asked.
“Well, I’ll show you,” he covered her eyes with his hands and led her to the spot. “When we get there,” he added. “Alright, open up,” he instructed. Sheridan fluttered her eyes open and tears welled in them from what she saw in front of her.

Chapter 2:
Luis watched her carefully. First a small tear of joy slipped down her
cheek, and then a huge mile spread across her face. Luis smiled too. The
greatest gift of all was seeing her smile. He would pay anything at anytime
to see it.
“Oh Luis-,” She stared in front of her. Right there, on the beach, carved in
huge letters deep into the sand, were the words, “I Love You Sheridan,”
Little seashells were precisely placed to form a heart shape around the
letters. Nothing had ever touced deep down into her heart, into her soul,
like that had.
“Luis,” She said lovingly. “I Love you too. I Love you forever and ever,”
she said, throwing herself into open arms.
“Sheridan, it seems like I have been waiting an eterninty to say this, I
love you too. I love you for always,” They rested in each other’s arms; both
crying tears of joy.
Luis winked at Ethan and Miguel up on the pavilion. They had helped him pull
this off. They gave Chad the go ahead.
Late at night when all the world
Is sleepin'
I stay up and think of you
And I wish on a star that somewhere you are
thinking of me too
Cause I’m dreaming of you tonight
Till tomorrow I’ll be holding you tight
And there’s nowhere in the world I’d rather be
Than here in my room
Dreaming about you and me
Sheridan heard the soft music from the pavilion. As if reading each other’s
minds, they wrapped each other in their arms and swayed softly to the
music. Sheridan hummed along.
Wonder if you ever see me
And I wonder if you know I’m there
If you looked into my eyes would you see what’s inside
Would you even care?
I just wanna hold you close but so far
All I have are dreams of you
So I wait wait for the day
When I have the courage to say
I love you
Yes I do
“Luis,” Sheridan whispered as the song played.
“Yes?,”
“Can this be our song?,”
“Yes, Sheridan. This is our song,” He whispered to her
Late at night when all the world is sleepin’
I stay up and dream of you
I and still cant believe
That you came up to me and said
“I love you,” Sheridan sang along with the lyrics.
“I Love you too,” Luis softly sang.
* End of flashback *
Sheridan rolled over in bed. She knew she was going to die. She had been
diagnosed with 4 months meant she had to defeat all odds, she had to be
strong; very strong.
*Flashback*
Sheridan stared down at the test. Postive. She was pregnant. She was sick,
yet she was pregnant.
She anticipated the return of Luis from work. She was thrilled. Her cancer
was the last thing on her mind. All she could think about was her and Luis’
baby; how much she loved him, how everything could just be so perfect for
all of them.
“Luis,” she said later that night. “I’m pregnant!,”
Luis’ reaction was not what Sheridan had hoped for; expexted.
“Oh, no. Oh god no.I don’t want to do this to a child. No,” he said after a
moment of silence.
He expected that for Sheridan’s good they would have to abort the baby; but
Sheridan wouldn’t even think of it.
“Luis! NO!,”
“But sweetheart-,”
“No! I know what you are thinking! I know they said I only have four months!
Luis, why don’t you believe in me?? Don’t you believe that I can do it-“ She
was sobbing uncontrollably . She fell down against the wall, face in her
hands. “I….can…do it,” she sobbed out.

Chapter 3:
"Shhh," Luis tried to comfort Sheridan. Of course I believe in you,
honey,"he rubbed her back for a few minutes.
"Sheridan?," he asked her.
"Yeah?," She said in between sobs.
"Do you want to have this baby?,"
"Yes. Yes I do Luis. And I am determined to do it. I am," Sheridan said, and
Luis took her in his arms.
Sheridan was so sick, Luis hated to doubt her, but the most important thing
to him was Sheridan, was her getting well.
******2 Months Later*******
"Sheridan please. You have to," Luis begged.
"No! Chemotherapy will hurt our baby Luis!,"
"But Sheridan, don't you want to get better!," Luis asked.
"Don't you even care about our baby Luis? Don't you? You don't do you?! Well
I do!,"
"Sheridan! Don't say that! Of course I care about our baby! Its just that
the most important thing to me is you getting better. I'm sorry. But of
course I love our child!,"
"Oh Luis," Sheridan buried herself in his arms. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to
yell at you, its just, oh I don't know, I'm scared."
"I know. I know you are. But we are going to get through this. You, mean,
and Luis Jr.," he said, kissing her tummy.
"Luis Jr. huh?,"
"Well of course!," He said jokingly and he kissed her.
"I hope its a little girl," She told him.
"Well whatever your mommy wants," he said patting her tummy again.
"I love you Luis,"
"I Love you too, Sheridan, always and forever," he smiled at her and they
kissed passionately.
****6 Months Later*****
Sheridan lay on the couch. All this was too much for her to bear. She was
already so weak, and being pregnant...the morning sickiness was hell for
her. She had no idea how she did it.
And niether did anyone else.
The docters thought Sheridan was practically a miricale. How she could live
this long with very little treatment and being pregnant, they couldn't
believe. They hadn't ever seen anythindg like it before.
All of the sudden, Sheridan got this feeling. She knew she was having her
baby. "Luis! Luis!," she yelled. He came rushing into the room.
"Its Time!," She said.
As Luis helped Sheridan into the car, she let out a sigh, of relief and
heartache. It was finally over. The pain and suffering that is. But now, she
thought, I don't have much longer. I don't have much longer until I have to
leave Luis and our baby. Tears welled in her eyes on the way to the
hospital.

Chapter 4:
Sheridan breathed a sigh of relief after giving birth to her baby.
She had no idea just how painful Labor was. After, all she could think about
was how relieved she was that it was over, she didn’t even think about her
baby.
“Would you like to hold her?,” The nurse asked.
“Her?,” Sheridan said.
“Yes, honey, her,” Luis smiled at Sheridan. “Here, say hello to your
daughter,” Luis handed the small bundle to Sheridan.
“Ohhhhhh,” was all Sheridan could say when she looked at her bueatiful baby
girl.
“Welcome to the world angel,” Sheridan said as Luis kneeled down to
Sheridan’s bedside. The little thing waved its arms and its mouth wrinkled up. “Look sweetheart,
she’s smiling at you,” Luis pointed out.
“I think she is smiling at you, Daddy,” She said, smiling.
Sheridan ran into the house, threw her purse down and ran into the living
room where Luis was sitting.
He took a breath.
“How’d it go?,” he asked.
“Its in remission! My cancer is in remission Luis I am getting better! I am
finally getting better!,” she said.
“That is wonderful!,” her threw his arms around her and spun her around.
“I knew things would only get better!,” he said and gave her a long
passionate kiss.
Sheridan poked her head around the corner of the babies nursery. She saw the
most adorable sight.
There Luis was, in the babies crib, holding her, gently rocking her back and
forth, waving toys in front of her face. He softly sang soothing words to
her and the baby cooed.
“Mind if I join you?,” Sheridan asked after moments of observing.
“Not at all,” Luis said.
So Sheridan climbed in the crib with the baby and Luis. After a bit of
rearranging, Sheridan sat cuddled in Luis’ lap with the baby in her arms.
The happy couple sang lullabyes to her until she fell fast asleep. Before
long, Sheridan fell fast asleep to, right there in the baby’s crib.
Luis looked down at Sheridan’s pale face. She was as beautiful as ever,
though, he thought. He was so proud of her. She had overcome so much. And
she was getting better, which brought warmth and excitement to his heart. He
was dreadfully scared of loosing her before, but he tried to hide it from
her for her own good. He lay he his back onto the crib and fell into a deep,
peaceful sleep.
“ahhhhh but Luis,” Sheridan complained.
“Come on Sheridan,” he said to her and poured himself a cup of coffee.
“But I always wanted a baby named Chellie!,” She argued with him.
Luis went up to her and came very close. In a playful way, he said, “Its
Sheridan or nothin’,” He smiled. Luis was very set on having his baby named
after her mother, and the woman he loved.
“Well, Luis, our baby can’t go nameless forever,” she sighed and sat down.
“Here,” Luis said, taking a bite of his toast, “We will comprimse.” “Compromise?,:
“Yeah. Her full name can be Cheridan but we can call her Chellie,” “I like Chellie with a C though,” she said. “Alright alright, her name, Sheridan, can be spelled with a C instead of an
S,” he said.
Sheridan scribbled down Cheridan with a c on a nearby napkin. “I like it,”
she said and smiled.
“Than Cheridan with a C it is, also known as Chellie,” he smiled at her and
continued reading.
“What about a middle name?” She asked.
Luis wasn’t exactly interested. “Think of one,” he said, not taking his eyes
off the paper.
Sheridan scribbled some more names on the paper and made a decsion
“Pilar. Cheridan Pilar Lopez Fitzgerlad it is!” She smiled and gave Luis a
big hug.

Chapter 5:
“Luis, sweetheart,” Sheridan called from the kitchen. “Stay here with
Chellie, I’m going to my doctors appt. I’ll be back soon,” Sheridan was
late, so she grabbed her coat and ran outside without waiting for a
response.
Cheridan Pilar Lopez-Fitzgerald was a very lively happy baby. She had golden
brown hair and sparkling blue eyes. She had Luis’ smile. Of course the baby
bonded with her mother, but Luis and the baby had a special bond. Little
Chellie seemed to smile and coo every time her Daddy walked into the room.
He always seemed to make the little one laugh. Sheridan was in awe of this.
She never realized how much Luis loved children. When he wasn’t working or
with Sheridan he was always playing with the baby. She loved this. She was
so proud of Luis for being the most wonderful father in the world. And she
was happy that her baby could have the caring, loving father that she never
had.
“Ahhhhhhhhh,” Luis opened his mouth and Cheridan stuck her small fingers in
it.
“Ahhhhhhhhh,” Chellie did it again, and let out a small giggle.
“That’s Daddy’s little girl,” Luis laughed and gave the little girl a huge
smile. “Yes it is, ahhh, yes it it,” He gave her forehead a big kiss. “I
Love you I love you I love you I love you, Angelface,” She laughed again.
“Guess what time it is??,” Luis started. “Naptime for little Chellie,” He
scooped her up and she hit him in the head with her toy (an accident of
course).
“Awwww, no need to punish Daddy like that is there??,” he asked her.
“But guess what. You are in luck ‘cause guess what today is?? Today is
Mommy’s birthday. But see Mommy thinks we forgot. So your naptime gets cut
by ohhh…I’d say 20 minutes. And then you will help Daddy with Mommy’s
surprise.,” He set her into her crib. “Okay? Okay we’ll see ya soon my
little Cheridan. Night Night,” He shut the light off and closed the door.
Sheridan pulled up into the driveway of her cottage. She took a long breath.
Happy to have the tests over, she was worried but assured herself that the
cancer wouldn’t return, that the tests would be negative. They had to be.
“Look who’s home!!!,” Luis said, holding Chellie.
Sheridan walked in the door. “Honey. I’m home. How was the baby? Was her
diaper very messy? Cause I’ve been-,” She stopped in fornt of the kitchen
and smiled.
“Happy birthday dear Mommy, Happy birthday dear Mommy,” Luis sang, waving
the baby’s hands in the air. “ Happy birthday dear mommy, happy birthday to
yooooouuuuu,” He sang.
Sheridan looked around. The kitchen was decorated with streamers, and a big
“Happy Brithday Sheridan!,” Sign hung on the wall. There was Luis and
Chellie, both wearing colorful party hats, and a big cake wishing her a
happy birthday from Daddy and Little Chellie (That was what they often
called the baby, “Little Chellie,”). Sheridan was so happy tears came to her
eyes. This wonderful man was always planning special things for her. He
could always make her smile.
“Ohhh., you guys, I love you!,” Luis scooped Sheridan up and gave her a big
kiss.
“I Love you sweetie,” Luis said.
So the family sat down, ate Sheridan’s cake (Though Little Chellie didn’t
get much in her mouth) and celebrated her birthday.
“Oh, ah, Sheridan, could you open the shed for me, I think I’m gonna mow the
lamn,” Luis stated a little while later.
“Sure,” Sheridan said. Luis followed her out to the shed. Sheridan found the
right key, and slowly turned the latch open. When she did she gasped.
A sign held by two ropes came down as the door was opened, stating,
“SHERIDAN, WILL YOU MARRY ME????,” Sheridan smiled and turned to Luis who
presented a bueatiful dimond ring.
Sheiridan was so happy. Tears sprung to her eyes. “I thought you’d never
ask!,” She exclaimed and jumped into his arms.
“So that’s a yes?”
“That is a positive, wonderful, exciting marvelous YES!,” She said. The baby
let out a happy squeal from inside the house.
“Well, I guess someone is happy about that,” Sheridan said, and Luis
laughed.
“Dr. Bain, hello,” Sheridan said and breathe deeply.
“You have the results of the tests?,” Sheridan asked. She took a deep breath
in and listened for the response.

Chapter 6:
Sheridan held her breath and listened on the other end of the line. “Oh. I
see,” She whispered and tears sprung to her eyes.
“Yes. Yes I will as soon as possible. Thank you doctor,” She said and slowly
hung up the phone.
“My God,” Sheridan said holding her hand to her mouth. “Why is this
happening to me? Why? Why is god doing this to me- to Luis? To Chellie?
Someone, please, help me,” She said and slumped into the chair nearest to
the phone, and broke down in tears.
Sheridan looked at the clock. Tick, tock, tick, tock, tick, tock. Luis
would be home soon. She dreaded telling him that the cancer was back. The
worst part about it all was Luis. Oh, she hated seeing him so depressed. And
that’s how he was when she was sick. He tried, he really tried,to not let
her see him. But she did. She saw him. It was almost like the only thing in
the world he cared about was Sheridan, and only Sheridan. As much as she
hated seeing him that way, it touched her how much he loved her. She felt so
lucky to have him. Her life, everything was worth it. Her thoughts were
interrupted by the creaking open of the door.
“Honey, I’m home,” Luis announced. He strutted into the living room where
Sheiridan sat and gave her a big hug and kiss. “I always wanted to say
that,” he smiled. He noticed the tears in her eyes.
“Sweetheart, whats wrong?,” He asked.
“Nothing, nothing at all,”
“Hump. Something’s wrong. Buy maybe I can cheer up you up with, uh, these?,”
He produced a dozen yellow roses. He knew they were her favorite.
Sheridan melted. “Ohhhhh, honey, thank you,” She happily accepted the
flowers. As she threw her arms around him she once again realized how much
she loved this man.
So the happy couple decided to go out to eat to celebrate their new
engagement. Sheridan put a cute pink dress with teddy bears that popped out
all around the edges and had a lace trim on the hem that Theresa had bought
on Chellie. She looked adorable and they recived many ohhhhh’s and ahhhhh’s
at the cute little sight.
As Sheridan and Luis (and of course Chellie) ate, She almost forgot all
about the cancer and that it was back. She was still worried though, she
didn’t know when she was going to tell him.
Luis and Sheridan tucked the baby in her crib and proceeded to their
bedroom. A goodnight peck led to some intense kissing. Sheridan wanted to
make love to Luis and he wanted her, but she felt like she was betraying him
by not telling him about the cancer. She suddenly pulled away.
“Hey, is something wrong Sher?,” Luis asked and stroked her arms.
“No,” She replied looking down at the sheets. “Yes. Yes, something is wrong
Luis. Something bad has happened,” Tears came to her eyes and and she tried
to hold them back but she couldn’t, they sprung out and she started all-out
sobbing.
“Oh, Sheridan, Sheridan,” Luis said. He wrapped his arms around her and
gently rocked her back and forth. “Its okay, its okay sweetie,” he reassured
her. “Tell me whats wrong,”
“Its back Luis, its back,” She stammered.
“What?,”
“The cancer. Its back, Luis,” She sobbed.

Chapter 7:
Luis took a deep breath in.
“Are-are you sure?”
“The doctors called me earlier,” She cried.
“Shhhh. Honey, it’ll be okay. It always is, isn’t it?,” he held her tighter
and tried to hold back tears of his own.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry. I hate making you go through this. I know you love
me and that means the world to me I don’t know why I am doing this to you-“
“Sheridan! Stop it! YOU aren’t doing this; this isn’t your fault. So don’t
say that. We will get through this, together, you, me and Chellie. I will
never, never, leave your side. You got that?,” Luis smiled and wiped a tear
from Sheridan’s eye. “Yes. I know,” Sheridan said and gave him a tight hug.
“I’m just so scared,” She stammered.
“I know,” Luis comforted her, “I know”
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* 2 Months later*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Theresa looked at her watch. She was late. She had to get to Chellie, to
Sheridan. She was awaiting the arrival of the UPS truck to deliever some
important info. About Sheridan & Luis’ wedding. But she couldn’t wait,
she’d just have to pick it up later. She got in her car and sped to the
cottage.
Sheridan was now very sick. Luis had stayed home with her for as long as he
could, but he had to go back to work. He worked as little as possible, but
he couldn’t always be there for Sheridan, which killed him. Theresa had
offered to come over for a certain time everyday to care for Chellie and
Sheridan. Theresa had also offered to help with the whole wedding, she had
made most of the arrangements. She was worried though. She was always with
Sheridan amd could see her getting sicker and sicker. It wasn’t like Luis
didn’t notice, he just didn’t want to face reality. Whenever Theresa worked
on the wedding the horrible feeling that Sheridan may not even be there sunk
in. She tried to do her job; to brush it off. But her and Sheridan were
very close. She couldn’t stand to see her like this.
Theresa walked into the cottage and set her keys down on the coffee table.
She was about to greet Sheridan, but she sighed when she saw her fats asleep
on the couch. Theresa noticed a small box laying on top of the TV. It was
addressed to her. She picked it up and opened it. Inside was a long gold
chain with gold letters attached to it. The spelled out Theresa. She looked
more closely at it and inscribed in the thick chain it said, “To worlds #1
sis. Love your favorite big bro, Luis” Theresa smiled. She picked up the
note inside. It read:
Theresa,
Hi! How is my favorite sister this morning? (don’t tell Paloma)
Therese, you are the best sister anyone could have. You have done so much
for me, for Sheridan and Chellie. I don’t know how to thank you enough. Why
you give up so much of your time, I don’t know and I don’t know what I would
do without you. I want you to know how much I love you Sis. You are the
greatest, and I know Sheridan (and Chellie) agree with me too. Not only are
you the best sister, you are the best Aunt, and best sister-in-law(almost)
ever. I Love you, and I hope you like the necklace.
Love Your Big Bro,
Luis
Theresa smiled. That was Luis, always thinking of everything. She still
wasn’t sure he was facing the reality of the situation though. She knew
Sheridan was going to die, and she was always crying about it. She loved
Luis so much she was worried what would happen when the fateful day came.
Maybe there is hope, she thought to herself. She looked at an exhausted
Sheridan and sighed. Her thoughts were interrupted by a baby’s cry.

Chapter 8:
Luis came home late one afternoon. In his hand he carried a dozen red roses
for Sheridan.
“Hi sweetheart,” He said and kneeled down next to her.
“Hi. Did you have a good day at work?,” she feebly asked him.
“It was okay. But I missed you to much to have a good time,” he stroked her
hair, “I got these for you,” He handed her the roses.
She smelled the fresh scent in. They are beautiful, thank you Luis, I love
them, I love you,” they shared a kiss. Theresa had left the radio on and it
played softly from the kitchen. Sheridan listened to the music and a huge
smile spread across her face.
“Luis,” she said, “Its our song,”
Luis listed to the lyrics.
Late at night when all the world
Is sleepin'
I stay up and think of you
And I wish on a star that somewhere you are
thinking of me too
“Yeah,” Luis said softly. “Yes it is,” he smiled also.
“Dance with me Luis,” Sheridan said.
Luis hesitated. “Sheridan, you need your rest-,”
“Luis,” She said, “I’ve been resting all day. Right now, I want to dance,”
Luis smiled. He turned up the radio and helped her to her feet. They danced
slow, soft and loving. Sheridan hummed to the lyrics.
Cause I’m dreaming of you tonight
Till tomorrow I’ll be holding you tight
And there’s nowhere in the world I’d rather be
Than here in my room
Dreaming about you and me
“I love you,” She whispered.
“I love you too,” he said.
“Sheridan! Why, why don’t you understand?,”
“Luis, I-“
“No! You are putting yourself at risk. Why don’t you understand that you
have to do this,” He said to her.
“No Luis. YOU don’t understand. I cant walk, go anywhere do anything, I can
barely move with all that chemo!,” Sheridan raised her voice.
“Sheridan! I want you to get through this I am trying to help you survive,
to make it easier!,” Luis was startled at his own words. He never let
himself belive that Sheridan was going to die.
“Luis! Don’t you understand? I am not going to live! I am going to die Luis!
Why don’t you just face it, I have! Is it so much to ask, to want to live
the short time I have left, comfortably? Is that too much to ask??,”
Sheridan yelled at him with all her strength and started to cry.
All Luis could do was look at her, while the tears welled up in his eyes. He
didn’t know what to say. She was going to die. She was really going to die.
A tear slipped down his face and Chellie started to cry. He slowly turned
from Sheridan and went to the babies room.
Sheridan was also crying by this time too. She had just told Luis that she
had taken a call from the doctor on the recents tests she had had done. He
said he was very very sorry, but it had spread and her chances of surviving
were low, and she didn’t have much time. He gave her intense chemotherapy
options, but she knew how awful they would be and she declined. She knew
that there was nothing else they could do. Sheridan slowly stood up and
limped to Chellie’s bedroom. Luis was in the crib with Chellie again. He was
sobbing. Sheridan slowly got into the crib with them again.
“Sheridan, Sheridan, I am sorry. I don’t want to fight I don’t want to
argue. I’m sorry,” Sheridan hadn’t seen Luis ever cry so hard.
“Shhh. Its okay, its okay,” Sheridan stroked Luis’ hair.
“Sheridan, I love you so much. You are the most important thing in the world
to me, you and Chellie,” he said.
“And you with me. You have made me the happiest woman in the world, Luis.
You have made all my dreams come true. And I love you for that. So much.
That’s why we have have to get married Luis, as soon as possible,”
“Yes, yes I can’t wait anymore for you to become my wife,” he said and
kissed her forehead.
“I cant wait Luis. I don’t have much longer. Please tell me you know Luis.
Its the truth, you have to face it. I will always love you, no matter where
I am,”
Sheridan held Luis as he sobbed in her arms. “I will miss you so much,” he
stammered. Sheridan had never seen him so upset and her tears poured out
also. They held each other and cried each other to sleep.
