Chapter 7: Desire
Chapter 7:
Luis and Sheridan continued their passionate kiss. It was the most
magical kiss they had shared yet. Luis never wanted to stop, but he knew he
had to. He had to take care of her. She was delirious. Luis forced himself to
pull back from her. It was the hardest thing he had ever done. "Sheridan.
Don't do anything. Just relax." As much as it hurt Luis, he knew that the
only reason she kissed him was because she was delirious. He shouldn't have
gotten his hopes up. After all, what would a Crane want with a poor guy like
him. There was no way that Sheridan could feel the same way about him as he
did about her. She probably wanted a rich guy who was properly brought up and
a perfect gentlemen. She probably just cared for Luis as a friend, nothing
more, nothing less.
All the times that Luis had kissed her, he felt like they really shared
something. A true desire for one another. A strong desire that no one had
ever felt before, like they were one. Sheridan was his one, and only desire,
but there was no way that he could be her's. But that didn't matter. He loved
her and nothing could change that. He knew he had to take care of her.
He put his arms behind her back and under her knees and lifted her into
his arms. Sheridan wrapped her arms around his neck and buried her face in
his neck. Luis felt weak in the knees, as he felt her hot breath on his neck.
It was driving him wild, but he had to keep in control. He walked to the
living room and set her down on the couch. She laid back down on the couch
and closed her eyes.
Pilar came into the living room and said, "Here's the water." Luis took
the cup from Pilar and handed it to Sheridan. "Here. Drink this." Sheridan
took the cup and gulped it down. Luis said, "Now, you need to get some rest."
Sheridan smiled, "No. I want you to stay here with me." Pilar smiled at how
cute Sheridan was acting towards Luis. Luis took Sheridan's hand and said,
"You need to save your strength." "But Luis___." Luis put his fingers over
her lips. "Shhhh. Go to sleep." Sheridan couldn't argue against him. She
closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep. Luis looked up at Pilar and said,
"Stay with her until I come back. I have to go talk to Sam." Pilar nodded and
sat down by Sheridan. Luis got up and ran outside.
Two cops were holding Hank's arms and Sam had just finished reading him
his rights. Luis came up to Sam and said, "What's going on, Sam?" Sam said,
"Hank will be put away until he can be testified. We will need Sheridan to be
in court when we have the trial. If anyone, she'll be the one to put him away
for good." Hank said, "I doubt Sheridan would be able to help you. She's only
good for two things, her money and being in bed with." Hank gave Luis an evil
smile. "Why you little bastard," Luis yelled. He lunged himself at Hank and
tried to attack him, but two more police officers, grabbed his arms and
stopped him. Luis struggled to get out of their hold, but they held onto him
tightly. Luis finally stopped struggling. Hank smiled at Luis. "After you get
your chance in bed with her, that little whore will find someone else to
bed." Luis lunged himself at Hank again, even harder this time and the
officers grabbed onto him. Luis yelled, "Don't you ever talk about her that
way, you bastard." Sam pulled Luis away from Hank. Luis tried to go after
Hank, but Sam blocked him.
"Luis. Calm down. Leave it alone." Luis was breathing loudly and he
clutched his hands together hardly, trying to release the anger. Luis said,
"I can't help it Sam. I can't stand to hear him talk that way about her. How
dare he say those things?" Sam put a hand on Luis's shoulder. "I know Luis,
but don't do anything drastic. You can't get in any trouble. Sheridan needs
you." Luis calmed down. "Yeah. I know your right. Just get Hank away from me,
before I do something I might regret." Hank called out, "Hey Luis. Where's
that bitch of yours?"
Luis felt his anger rising, but he had to keep himself under control, for
Sheridan's sakes. Luis took a deep breathe and walked up to Hank slowly. An
officer tried to stop him, but Luis nodded to him that he wouldn't do
anything. As Luis stood before Hank, all he wanted to do was punch him, but
he stood still. He spoke as calmly as he could. "Hank. Sheridan Crane is the
most wonderful, beautiful, caring woman that I have ever known. I love her
with all of my heart. I don't care about her money, her connections, or if
she's good for a little fling. I care about her for who she is. She is the
most wonderful woman in the world..." Luis's volume started to rise. He
yelled, "...And HOW DARE YOU THINK OTHERWISE!!!"
Sam pulled Luis back and said, "Luis. I think you should just not talk to
Hank right now." Luis had anger in his eyes, but he knew Sam was right. He
nodded to Sam and Sam said, "All right, men. Take him away." The police led
Hank to the police car. Hank looked back at Luis and they stared at each
other for a long time, angrily. Then, Hank got into the car and the police
drove off. Luis walked back into the house...
