Chapter 22: Desire
Chapter 22:
After going to the hospital, they found out that Sheridan was just fine.
A few cuts and bruises, but none the less, she was going to be okay.
Afterwards, they were sitting in the waiting room, signing some forms. While
Sheridan was going through them, Luis noticed that she looked really tired.
"Sheridan, are you okay? You look a little tired." Sheridan stifled a yawn
and said, "Oh, it's just been a long day." "Yeah, I mean... think of all
that's happened in the past few days." Luis said. Sheridan's smile faded and
she looked down at the floor. Luis noticed this and remembered when he told
Sheridan that he couldn't see her anymore. Luis back his hand on her back and
said, "Come on, let's take you home. We can finish the forms later." Sheridan
smiled weakly and nodded.
They got into the car and started to drive to Sheridan's cottage. Every
once in a while, Luis would look over at Sheridan and find her staring out
the window with a sad look on her face. Luis couldn't take the silence
anymore. As soon as they got to the cottage, he was going to apologize and
tell her that he loves her. He knew that he already told her on the phone,
but he wanted to tell her face to face. And on the phone, it probably seemed
like a 'moment's weakness' kind of thing. He had to let her know that he
honestly, truthfully, and deeply loved her with all of his heart.
When they arrived at the cottage, they got out of the car and walked
inside. "I'll go get us something to drink." Sheridan said as she started to
walk towards the kitchen. Luis grabbed her arm, stopping her from walking
away. Sheridan looked back at him and saw desire in his eyes. "We need to
talk" Luis said. Sheridan looked at the ground when she realized what he was
talking about. They walked over to the couch and sat on it, holding each
other's hands and facing each other. They looked deep into each other's eyes
for a minute or two.
Luis was so happy that she was safe, but he also felt tears forming in
his eyes as he thought about how Sheridan almost died. She might not even
have been killed if Luis hadn't told her he couldn't see her anymore, but he
had been too stubborn and stupid to realize what could have happened to her.
Without a word, he pulled her into his arms and laid her head against his
shoulder. Sheridan was a little bit confused as to why Luis all of a sudden
took her in his arms, but she wasn't about to complain about that. Luis held
her close to him and swayed with her from side to side. He tried to hold back
all of his emotions inside of him, but it was so hard. Tears started to come
down Luis's face.
Sheridan could tell that he was crying when she felt something wet fall
on her back. She pulled back and looked into Luis's tear filled face. "Luis,
what's wrong?" She wiped his tears away and cupped his face in her hands.
Luis slowly brought his hands up to his face and took Sheridan's hands away.
He put them down and brought his hands up to Sheridan's face. He cupped her
face in his and whispered, "God, Sheridan. I'm so sorry!" "Sorry? What are
you sorry for?" Asked Sheridan. "For being such an idiot," Luis said, trying
to hold back the pain in his voice, "Sheridan. I was so stupid to tell you
that I couldn't see you anymore. I should have realized how I really felt
about you." Sheridan looked at him with concern, "Luis. What are you trying
to say?" Luis looked down at her hands, took them in his and looked at her in
the eyes, "Sheridan... I love you."
Sheridan felt her body quiver as she heard those three words that she had
wanted to hear for so long now. "You... what?" She whispered in a smile. Luis
smiled and said, "Sheridan. I love you. I love you more than anything else in
the world. The only reason that I told you I couldn't see you anymore, was
because I was afraid." "Afraid?" "Afraid of Jullian. Afraid that he might
hurt you. He threatened me that if I stayed near you, he would hurt you. I
could never forgive myself if that happened." Luis said. Sheridan opened her
mouth to speak, but Luis interrupted her, "I should have known then that I
couldn't let Jullian come between us. I would protect you with my life. I
didn't realize just how much I love you, but now I do. I love you so so much
and I'm never going to leave you again."
A few tears trickled down Sheridan cheeks and Luis brushed them away.
Sheridan said, "Oh Luis. I love you so so much. I love you with all of my
heart and soul. I could never live without you..." She was cut off when Luis
suddenly pressed his lips on hers. It was a soft kiss that quickly
intensified into a wild and passionate kiss. Luis pulled Sheridan up against
his body and ran his hands up and down her sides as Sheridan massaged the
back on his neck. Luis's hands roamed around her back and around his sides.
Luis couldn't believe that this was happening. It was too good to be true.
Sheridan loved him just as much as he loved her. It was like a dream come
true. Luis was quickly loosing control of his senses. He wanted to make love
to her right now. No, he didn't want to... he needed to make love to her
right now. He continued to kiss her intensely as he scooped her into his arms
and carried her to Sheridan's bedroom.
When they were inside the bedroom, Luis walked over to the bed and laid
her down on the bed. He hovered over her as he kissed her. Then, he laid down
on top of her and he left her lips and started to plant kisses down her neck.
Sheridan moaned his name as he started to take off her shirt. He quivered as
he felt her skin pressed up against his. He was in heaven. Nothing could ruin
this moment. They continued to undress each other and then they slid under
the covers. Then, they made the most passionate love that any lovers had made
in the entire world. Then, they fell asleep, wrapped tightly in each other's
embrace, with wide smiles plastered on their faces...
**MORNING**
Luis slowly opened his eyes and took a look around. He smiled down at a
sleeping Sheridan, who was lying in his arms. She looked so beautiful, with
or without her clothes on. He remembered the absolutely amazing time that
they had last night. The love that they made was like nothing else in this
world, something truly special. He stroked her bare back with his hand and
thought to himself, 'Today's the day I'm going to pop the big question. I'm
going to ask you to marry me. God, I hope you say yes, because I love you so
much and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I can't wait to show
you the house. It will be perfect. The perfect place for us.
Luis felt Sheridan stirring in his arms and he looked down at her and saw
her eyes open. She smiled brightly when she saw Luis. "Good morning,
gorgeous," Luis smiled. "Good morning, sweetheart." Sheridan said. He leaned
in and gave him a gentle kiss. "How did you sleep?" Luis said while stroking
her arm. Sheridan laughed, "Well, you did tire me out last night, and what
better way to sleep then in your arms." Luis smiled and said, "I know. Last
night was amazing." "Infact..." Sheridan said as she looked into his eyes
seductively, "I think I want to try that again." She leaned in and kissed his
intensely. Luis was losted in the kiss instantly and held her close to him as
he kissed her back. They were about to make love again when Luis realized
that he would never get to the big surprise if he did this again. He forced
himself to pull back. Sheridan looked confused. Luis just smiled and said,
"Maybe later." "Later?" Sheridan whined. Luis pulled back the covers and
said, "Get dressed." "What? Where are we going?" Sheridan whined. Luis smiled
at her mysteriourly and said, "To the surprise." Sheridan smiled, "Surprise,
huh? What kind of surprise?" "A very BIG surprise," Luis kissed her gently,
"Now get dressed. Be ready in 10 minutes."
**ABOUT 2O MINUTES LATER**
"Luis, where are you taking me? Can I take this blindfold off yet?"
"Nope. Sorry," Luis laughed. He continued to drive to his destination. As
they continued driving, Sheridan could suddenly smell the ocean. Were they by
the ocean? What was Luis bringing her here for? Luis stopped the car and
Sheridan said, "Can I take the blindfold off yet?" "No... just for a few more
minutes." Luis said. He helped Sheridan out of the car and started to guide
her along. After a minute or two of walking, they finally came to a stop.
Luis said, "Now I'm gonna take the blindfold off, but don't look. Promise?"
Luis had said it so sweetly... how could she deny him? "I promise," Sheridan
replied. Luis slid off the blindfold, but Sheridan kept her promise and her
eyes closed. Luis finally whispered, "All right. Open your eyes." Sheridan
opened her eyes and gasped.
In front of her, she could see the ocean. She was standing on a high
balcany that overlooked the ocean. She turned around to face Luis, but found
herself staring at a gorgeous white house. It was the most beautiful house
she had ever seen. She looked down and saw Luis kneeled down on one knee. She
clasped her hands over her mouth. Luis began, "Sheridan. I've never realized
until just resently, how much I love you. I love you so much, I want to spend
the rest of my life with you. I will never love anyone as much as I love you
and I know that for a fact. I want to be with you always and forever.
Sheridan, will you do me the honor of being my wife?" Luis stared at her,
smiling, hoping that the answer would be yes. Sheridan had tears running down
her face and she was smiling for ear to ear. That was the most beautiful
thing she had ever heard in her life. She smiled at him and cried, "Yes,
Luis. Yes, I will marry you." Luis jumped up, pulled her into his arms, and
kissed her with all the happiness, love, passion, and desire inside of him.
This was the happiest moment of his life. Luis and Sheridan pulled back from
their kiss and smiled at each other. Then, Luis led her into the house. The
houes that they would spend the rest of their lives in... together!"

I'm afraid not... after I finish with my other fanfic, I will be writting
