Chapter 18: Desire
Chapter 18:
Luis was grinning from ear to ear as he thought of his perfect plan. It
would be so wonderful and it would make both of them so happy. Luis took out
his cellphone again. He called Ethan and asked if the arrangements had been
made. Ethan confirmed them and everything was set. This was going to be the
most wonderful day. He couldn't wait for Sheridan to wake up. She was going
to be so happy. Well, first of all, when she woke up, he had to tell her how
sorry he was about before and how much he loved her.
Suddenly, Luis's cellphone started to ring. He picked it up and said,
"Hello?" "Hello. Is this Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald?" the other voice asked. "Yes,
it is," Luis replied. The person cleared their throat and said, "This is the
hospital." Luis started to smile, "Is Sheridan awake?" "Well... not exactly."
the voice said. Luis was confused, "What do you mean?" The voice said, "Sir,
we have a small problem. Something has happened." Luis's smile turned into a
shocked frown and he felt a chill go down his spine. He suddenly became very
dizzy and afraid.
Without a word, he dropped the phone and ran as fast as he could to the
hospital. As Luis was running, he kept on praying, "Please, God. Please, let
her be okay." Luis finally got to the hospital. He ran inside as quickly as
possible, almost running over some people. A nurse came up to him, but he
pushed her out of the way and ran towards Sheridan's room. He ran up to the
door and threw it open. He ran inside and stopped dead in his tracks.
Sheridan was gone! Luis starred at the empty bed in shock, wondering what
was going on. Where was she? A nurse came up to Luis and Luis looked at her
in shock. "Where's Sheridan? What the hell happened?" "I don't know sir__."
"What do you mean you don't know?" Luis said as he grabbed her shoulders.
"You're supposed to keep an eye on her, so where is she?" A doctor came over
and pulled Luis over. "Sir, Miss Crane had disappeared." Luis stared at him
cluelessly. How could Sheridan have just disappeared? The doctor said, "We
just came in here and she was gone." Luis felt his knees go weak and he fell
into a chair behind him. He put his head in his hands and thought about where
Sheridan could be. She could be hurt. Suddenly, something came into his
mind...
**FLASHBACK**
At the Lopez-Fitzgerald house, Luis had just decked Jullian and he turned
to look at Sheridan and hugged her close. "You see? I knew something like
this would happen." Sheridan smiled, "Luis. I can take care of myself. You
don't have to wait on me night and day." Luis pulled back and said, "But he
was going to hurt you. And that's the same thing you said when Roger and
Pierre were after you, not to mention that they still are after you."
**REALITY**
Luis jumped up from his chair and said, "Oh my god. No." "What is it?"
the nurse asked, stepping up to Luis. Luis turned to her and said,
"Sheridan's been kidnapped." The nurse and the doctor gasped. Luis continued,
"A drug cartel in Paris was after her. They might have come to Harmony and
kidnapped her." Luis shivered at the thought of Sheridan being hurt or
killed. The doctor said, "What should we do?" Luis looked up at him without
fear, but with anger. "I'm going down to the police station. We'll find her."
Luis walked out of the room. He walked out of the hospital and took a deep
breathe. He stared up at the hospital and prayed that Sheridan was all right.
That she was safe, somehow and that he would get to her on time. He looked
down at the small package in his hand and it gave him a lot of hope. Hope to
find Sheridan and make her his forever. He looked up at the sky and said,
"Don't worry, Sheridan. I'll find you, and this time, I'll never ever leave
you again." He started up the car and drove away to the police station...
