Chapter 10: Desire
Chapter 10:
Luis and Sheridan stood there in shock and they saw Jullian watching them
from the front door. He had just walked in on them kissing passionately and
was furious. Sheridan looked at Luis, then back at Jullian and said,
"Jullian. I can explain." Jullian came forward and grabbed Sheridan's arm.
"We're going to talk to father," Jullian said. Jullian pulled her towards the
door. When they reached the doorway, Luis grabbed Jullian's collar and glared
at him. "You take your hands off of her now!" Jullian hesitated and Luis
yelled, "NOW!" Jullian removed his grip on Sheridan and she rubbed her arm.
Luis continued to glare at Jullian. "What the hell are you doing here,
Crane?" "Well, can't a man care about his own sister?" Jullian said. "Oh cut
the bull Jullian." Luis said disgusted.
Sheridan sensed that this could lead to some trouble, so she grabbed
Luis's arm and said, "It's all right Luis. I'd like to have a talk with my
brother anyway." Luis turned and looked at her angrily. Then, he said, "Hold
on a minute Jullian." Luis pulled Sheridan back into the house and closed the
door, leaving Jullian outside. Luis took Sheridan's hands and said,
"Sheridan. I don't feel comfortable about you being alone with him. Who knows
what he might do?" Sheridan said, "Luis. I'll be fine. How could Jullian
possibly hurt me?" "Well, he did try to separate us by setting up an
impostor." "Luis. Please. I won't go anywhere. I'll be right outside. I just
want to talk with him for a quick moment." Sheridan said. Luis thought for a
moment and said, "All right. I just want you to be safe." "I know," Sheridan
said before kissing him lightly. Sheridan was about to walk out again, but
Luis stopped her and said, "If he tries anything, you yell for me and I'll be
there in a second." Sheridan nodded and walked outside.
She closed the door behind her and glared at Jullian. "What do you want,
Jullian? And make it quick." Jullian said, "I don't believe what I just saw.
How could you possibly do that to the family?" "I'm not doing anything to the
family, Jullian," Sheridan snapped. Jullian said, "So what are you planning
to do. Sleep with him for a while, then move on to the next guy. You know
that this relationship can't last." Sheridan said, "Jullian. I love Luis. I
love him with all of my heart and he loves me to." For a moment, Jullian just
stared at Sheridan shocked. Then, his face turned beet red and he walked
towards Sheridan. "You ungrateful bitch," he yelled as he raise his hand to
slap her. Before Jullian could hit her, Luis raced out the door and punched
Jullian in the jaw. He had been listening to their conversation the whole
time. Jullian keeled over. Luis stood above him, breathing hard. He looked
over at Sheridan, who was in shock. He took her hands and said, "Sheridan.
Are you all right? Did he hurt you?" "No. I'm... I'm fine." Sheridan
answered. Jullian staggered up and Luis stepped up to him. "Get off my
property," Luis snarled. Jullian rubbed his jaw and said, "You'll regret
that." Luis pointed his finger to the sidewalk and said, "Leave!" Jullian
slowly walked away.
When he was gone, Luis turned around and hugged Sheridan tightly. "You
see. I knew something like this would happen." Sheridan smiled, "Luis. I can
take care of myself. You don't have to wait on me night and day." Luis pulled
back and said, "But he was going to hurt you. And that's the same thing you
said when Roger and Pierre were after you, not to mention that they still are
after you." "But Luis. I'm used to dealing with my brother and father. I'll
be fine with them. You don't have to try to protect me." Sheridan smiled.
Luis sighed and said, "I'm sorry. I just worry about you." Sheridan smiled at
him. He was so concerned and worried about her. He made her feel so loved,
unlike her father and brother. No one had ever made her feel so special. Not
even Ethan. Ethan? Just then, she remembered that she was supposed to meet
Ethan at her cottage. She said, "Luis. I think maybe I should leave now. I
promised Ethan I'd meet him at my cottage." "Are you sure you're all right?"
Luis asked as he softly caressed her cheek. Sheridan laughed, "I'm fine."
"Okay well. Just let me know if anything happens." Luis said. Sheridan
laughed at him. Luis said, "What? Sheridan, I love you and I don't want
anything to happen to you." Sheridan said, "I love you too Luis." She kissed
him gently and got her stuff and left.
Jullian was in his office talking to Alistair. "I'm telling you father.
That Luis has a fist like a rock." He flinched when he pressed the ice pack
to his jaw. Alistair said, "Yes. Now Sheridan and Luis have grown closer
together. They have even admitted that they are in love." "This is getting
way out of control father. We need to do something fast." Jullian said.
Alistair thought for a moment and said, "I've got it. I have an idea to
separate Luis and Sheridan forever." Jullian perked up. "What is it father?"
"Listen carefully Jullian. This is the perfect plan."
At the Lopez-Fitzgerald house, Luis was chopping wood outside. He was
wearing only jeans and had no shirt on (lol). He chopped the last piece of
wood. He stared up into the sky and sighed deeply. He was thinking about
Sheridan. How wonderful last night was. They had finally admitted their
feelings towards each other and had made love. It felt so good to hold
Sheridan in his arms, to caress her body, to kiss her all over. His body was
heating up just thinking about it. He couldn't wait to see her again. He was
so deep in his thoughts that he didn't hear Theresa coming up behind him.
"Luis? Luis." Luis turned around and said, "Hey Theresa." "Someone's on the
phone for you," Theresa said. "Oh really. Who is it?" "It's Jullian Crane,"
she answered. Luis felt his stomach turn as he heard his name. Luis walked
into the kitchen and picked up the phone. "What the hell do you want,
Jullian?" "I need you to come over to the Crane Mansion right away," Jullian
said. "Why?" Luis asked. "I have some important matters to talk to you about.
Just don't let anyone know you are coming here." Jullian said and he hung up
the phone. Luis hung up the phone, confused and thought, "What could Jullian
Crane want to talk to me about?"
