Carrie: Okay. This game may be a little tricky because it's dark now, but I'll help you if you get stuck. Mike: Well, thank you very much, but I happen to be an old pro at the alphabet game. Carrie: Oh, really? Mike: Yes! Carrie: Okay, big shot. Begin with the letter, 'A'. Mike: Automobile. Carrie: Very good. 'B'. Mike: Easy. Beautiful...as in you. You are beautiful. Carrie: Ahh...Judge ruling on that one. Mike: Oh, come on! I can see beautiful. Carrie: Allright. We'll let you slide with that. 'C'. Mike: Carrie. See, I'm so good! Carrie: (laughs) You have the floor. Keep on goin'!! Mike: Okay...uh, 'D', drop-dead gorgeous...'E', energetic...'F', fun, friendly, fantastic... Carrie: Keep your eyes on the road! Mike: No, you're much more interesting! Ah, that's my 'I' word, by the way - interesting. Carrie: No, you skipped 'G' and 'H'! Mike: No, 'G' I already used for gorgeous, but okay...We'll go for just plain great. 'H'...hot. 'Cause you are, ya know. Carrie looks down shyly, and smiles Mike: 'I', I already did. 'J', joyful. 'K', kind and maybe a little kooky! (they both laugh)...'L'...'L' is easy...Love. That's what I want to make to you because I love you and you love me. Mike and Carrie have just checked into the hotel, and Carrie decides to try out a slot machine. Carrie: I've got my silver dollars! She put the money in, and pulls the handle. They both groan when she doesn't win. Carrie: I guess my luck with gambling isn't any better than my life right now. Mike: Well, that was just your first try. Carrie turns to look at him. Carrie: I'm sorry. That sounded so self-pitying. Mike: (with a smile) Yeah, kinda...I understand. You know I understand and I intend to take your mind off of your troubles. Carrie: Oh yeah? And how do you plan on doing that? Mike: Oh, you'll just have to wait and see. Why don't you go upstairs and get yourself settled? I just have some things I need to take care of, okay? Carrie: Aww...Come on. Now you got me all curious. Mike: (with a mischievous smile) I'll see you later. Mike kisses Carrie's cheek and goes off to plan the rest of the evening. Later on, Carrie receives a garment bag and box from the bellhop. She pulls out a beautiful dress and then opens the box to reveal an amazing diamond necklace. She opens the card from the sender - Mike, of course. Carrie, Will you do me the honor of wearing this dress and this necklace for a special evening? Love, Mike p.s. This is only the beginning of the surprises I have for you. Mike waits at Carrie's room, ready to whisk her away for a night of surprises. When she opens the door, he gazes at her beauty. Mike: You look absolutely beautiful. You're taking my breath away. Carrie: You look pretty darn handsome yourself. Would you help me with this necklace? The clasp is pretty tricky. Carrie hands him the necklace, and their fingers touch for a brief moment. They stare at each other for a few electrifying seconds, until Carrie turns to the mirror. Mike clasps the necklace on her neck, and they look at their reflections in the mirror. Carrie: I love it, Mike. But you shouldn't have. Mike: Well, you know how often I've wanted to buy you things...gifts. NOw that our feelings are out in the open, I just want to spoil you a little, if that's allright with you. Carrie: (nodding and smiling) That's allright with me. Carrie turns to Mike, and they are just about to kiss when the phone rings. Carrie answers it quickly, and hangs up a few seconds later. Carrie: You ordered a limo? Mike: Nothing but the best. You are expecting another call? Carrie: I left a message for Austin on his machine. Mike: Look, I know how important it is to talk to him. But I also know that you and I can have a beautiful life together. Tonight, I just want to give you a window into what that life can be like, okay? Ready? Carrie nods, smiling. Mike: Let's go. Carrie and Mike are in the restaurant and they are watching people go by. Carrie: Vegas is wild. A party that never stops. Mike: I knew I could put a smile back on your face. Carrie: You've been so good to me. Mike: It's because it's my job...Loving you. Mike takes her hand and kisses it gently. Mike: How about a toast? They raise their champagne glasses. Mike: To a night we'll never forget. Carrie and Mike begin dancing to some romantic big band music in the restaurant. Carrie: You have a way of making me forget all my problems. Mike: Hey, I'm just getting warmed up. Later...After dancing... Mike: Have I told you how beautiful you are? Carrie: Only about fifty times. Mike: Right...Are you ready for fifty-one? Carrie nods and Mike takes her hand. Mike: Being with you here, alone like this. I love you now more than ever. Carrie: You have made this night *magic* for me, Mike. Mike: Aw, heck. We're getting started. There's plenty more *magic* to come. Later...Dancing again... Carrie: I am just swept away by everything you have done for me. I was really down after talking to Austin on the phone. Mike stops her. Mike: No...You can't mention his name, remember? Tonight's the night I show you how much I love you. Carrie: You're doing a great job. A dress, a necklace...dancing and dinner. How could you top this? Mike: I'm just getting started. You know, all the surprises in all the world could not possibly show how much I love you. You're the only woman in my heart. Mike takes her hand and places it on his chest. Mike: I'll never desert you...Oh, there's one thing I've got to do before I take you to your next surprise. Carrie: And what's that? Mike surprises her with a gentle kiss. At a magic show... Carrie: When you said there would be magic tonight, you weren't kidding. Mike: Just being here with you is magic enough for me. After winning BIG at the craps table... Carrie: I must have been the way I kissed those dice. Mike: Yeah, they came alive when they felt your lips...like I do. Carrie: Thank you for the most incredible night ever. Mike gazes longingly at Carrie and he smiles at her. Dealer: Your winnings, sir. Mike continues to gaze at Carrie, not caring about the money.
