Christie Clark got her start as an actress at the age of nine, when she
performed in an elementary school talent show. Clark knew that performing was her call in life, and jumped in
feet first. She got an agent, and appeared in a Mattel commercial and followed that with a
commercial for "Shera: Princess of Power" in 1983.
Clark began her run on Days of our Lives in 1986 as Carrie Brady. She appeared on
the show until the producers decided that they wanted the character of Carrie to mature. Clark
left in December of 1990 and then she graduated from high school, which was an accomplishment
because she had been home-schooled for three years.
Clark returned to Days in November of 1992. She was more mature, and even more
beautiful. She moved the innocent Carrie Brady onto a new level as a glamorous and beautiful
businesswoman. Clark however sees some differences between her character and her own
personality. She says, "I'm a very giving person with my family and close friends the same
as 'Carrie', but Christie is much more wild than 'Carrie'."
Clark keeps herself relaxed by taking time out to kick-box as well as snowboard on on the
slopes of California's mountains. When Clark first started snowboarding, she could not find
any fashionable clothes for women. She decided to create a line called Monkeywench,
which is "one of the first companies to design snowboarding clothes just for women," Clark
says. Through the years, the line has expanded into not only snowboarding clothes, but shorts,
sundresses, t-shirts, and skirts. Unfortunately, the clothing company has ended.
Clark was recently married in England to businessman, Thomas Barnes. They were married on
31 August 2002. They are currently living in California.
