Graphing
The
New Series
Since everything looks
better
in
graph form, I'm doing just that and taking a look at the new series via
graphs. Finally, after a long delay, CBS and the UPN

As is no surprise,
CBS's
strongest series is "CSI New York," but the dip that series has seen
has to be troubling. As for the rest, "Listen Up" has failed to do
anything, "dr vegas" has been cancelled and "Clubhouse" is moving to
Saturdays at 8pm. That's the problem with being the top rated network.
With of few timeslots to fill with new series, you don't worry about
developing good ones, which quickly becomes a problem, just as NBC has
discovered over the last several seasons.

CBS's counterpart, the UPN, has been doing okay so far this season,
with "Kevin Hill" really sticking out as a big hit, and "Veronica Mars"
having cult appeal. "Second Time Around" will likely survive the
season. the most promising thing for the network? All of its series are
now above their premiere numbers, which is always a good sign.
