The 9
Stars & One
Big Loser
You know the drill. In no particular order. You'll notice alot of CBS,
which is just banging so far in sweeps, a few ABC's, and one WB. What
about
the rest? Fox? You've got to be kidding. NBC? ditto. And as for the
UPN,
I still don't understand how it's even still on the air.
Survivor
Timeslot:
Thursday 8pm
Viewers:
22.1 million
(season high)
Ranking:
2
Adults
Rating:
8.3/21 (season
high)
Why?
Setting season
highs in both viewers
and adults will certainly do it, but also beating "Friends" at 8pm in
total
viewers for the first time in almost two years is another thing that
will
do it. At this point, "Pearl Islands" is up 3-4mil viewers an episode
over
what "Amazon" was drawing last spring.
Back To
Mayberry
Timeslot:
Tuesday 8pm
Viewers:
21.7 million
Ranking:
3
Adults
Rating:
4.7/13
Why?
Obviously, CBS
knew its reunion episode
of "The Andy Griffith Show" would do well, but this well?
Cold Case
Timeslot:
Sunday 8pm
Viewers:
14.0 million
Ranking:
16
Adults
Rating:
3.2/9
Why?
The show that
got off to a hot start
has failed to build apon it's "60 Minutes" lead-in, that is until this
episode. It was up 1.6mil viewers.
JAG
Timeslot:
Friday 8pm
Viewers:
13.5 million
Ranking:
17
Adults
Rating:
2.3/7
Why?
After a hot
premiere and several
episode of slowly declining ratings,
JAG" hit a seaosn
high with this
episode. In fact, the episode was down only 1.4 million viewers from an
episode that aired on Tuesday this week last season.
It's All
Relative
Timeslot:
Wednesday 8:30pm
Viewers:
10.4 million
Ranking:
45
Adults
Rating:
4.6/12
Why?
ABC is having
no problem launching
new sitcoms this season- none at all. In fact, this episode of "It's
All
Relative" was the first one to outdraw "My Wife & Kids" is adults.
so why can't the net launch a new hit drama?
Jamie Kennedy
Timeslot:

3.8 million
Ranking:
103
Adults
Rating:
1.6/4
Why?
Just when all
was looking lost for
the WB's Thursday line-up, "JKX" finally perks up with a near series
high
performance. This episode was up 28% over the same "JKX" last season
and
up a further 81% over "Do Over," which was airing at 8:30pm.
CSI
Timeslot:
Thursday 9pm
Viewers:
29.3 million
Ranking:
1
Adults
Rating:
10.5/26 (season
high)
Why?
Though down a
bit in viewers from
last week, the show was up a bit in adults, making it far and away the
number one show of the week in both adults and viewers. You know, NBC,
with this episode "CSI" moved ahead of "Friends" for top spot int he
season
to date 18-49 rankings, 9.90 to 9.86. With "Friends" drawing in the low
9's and only having about 12 original episodes left in the season, NBC
will not having the top rated show in this demo for the first time in
more
than a decade. Are you sure "Friends" can't come back for an 11th
season?
PrimeTime
Tuesday
Timeslot:
Tuesday 9:30pm
Viewers:
15.7 million
Ranking:
13
Adults
Rating:
5.9./15
Why?
I personally
thought the interview
with Jessica Lynch would draw bigger ratings than this, but
nevertheless,
it gave ABC a win from 9:30to 11pm on Tuesday for the first time this
season.
PrimeTime
Thursday
Timeslot:
Thursday 10pm
Viewers:
11.5 million
Ranking:
37
Adults
Rating:
4.8/12
Why?
TProof positive
that there is still
an audience out there for network tv (when they air the right stuff),
"PrimeTime"
hits its biggest numbers of the season with Britney Spears opposite
"ER"
(4) and "Without A Trace" (11)

What's the
world coming to when the
Olsen twins, starring in a Disney movie no less, can't even draw 6mil
