8:00pm The Players: Friends, Scrubs (NBC), Survivor Panama (CBS), Threat Matrix (ABC), Tru Calling (Fox), WWE Smackdown! (UPN), Steve Harvey's Big Time, The Jamie Lennedy Experiment (WB) Just like last season, Thursday will be the takle of CBS & NBC kicknig ass and the rest left panting. I pick "Threat Matrix" over "Tru Calling," however, considering they're the only dramas airing in the hour. As for the mini-nets, the WB start to pick up the slack- remember, "The Steve Harvey Show," the WB's second biggest sitcom hit ever (right after "Reba") aired on this night for a number of seasons. 9:00pm The Players: CSI (CBS), Will & Grace, Coupling (NBC), Reality Wheel (ABC), The OC (Fox), WWE Smackdown! (UPN), What I Like About You, Run of The House (WB) Will "CSI" start to pick up some momentum again? Maybe, but the real question is what will happen to "Coupling," which so far seems to be the most anticipated new Thursday series in years. Not that everybody is looking forward to it, most just want to see how NBC will botch it. A wild-card is ABC's reality wheel, which will start with "Extreme Makeover." "Celebrity Mole" would end up there, also. Fox. on the other hand, had better hope and pray that "The OC" picks up this summer, or it will be gone by November. And as for the WB, good luck. 10:00pm The Players: :ER (NBC), Without A Trace (NBC), PrimeTime Thursday (ABC) So far this summer, "Trace" is trouncing "ER" in the ratings. "ER" also saw major slippage last season, failing to break 20mil viewers for a number of weeks. What will happen come fall? "ER" will still win, but not by much. First
