This Fall
Over the next six
editions of TV
Talk, I'm going to look at the fall season and make my guesses as to
what
will work and what won't.

ABC moving "My Wife &
Kids" and
"George Lopez" into the hour is a very smart move as they are more
"guy"
friendly sitcoms, ditto for 9pm lead-outs "According To Jim" and
"Rodney."
The will win the hour, at least during the fall. But wait a
second...."NCIS"
will be first, but maybe second, while "the Billionaire" and "Average
Joe"
will struggle for third. "Gilmore Girls" will probably settle from last
season's disappointing start, while the UPN's sitcoms will be stuck in
sixth, albeit with solid numbers.

With almost every network
going for
changes in the hour, ABC will likely benefit (especially with the
unknown
"Father Of The Pride" on NBC). "Clubhouse" could be a sleeper for CBS,
while I would count out NBC and Fox. Over on the WB, "One Tree Hill"
will
continue to grow solidly, while "Veronica Mars" looks interesting
enough
to gain an audience. Hey, at least the UPN is giving up on sci-fi,
which
has failed it oh-so-many times.

With no changes in this

ti's unlikely that any show is going anywhere, that said....
