The Soaop Opera Ratings (week ending July 19th)
A Not much movement to report this week. Soaps in general were up somewhat, but still, nothing significant.

Households
                            Rating  Share          % Last Year
 1  Young & The Restless   5.0   17    CBS     -12
 2  Days Of Our Lives      3.8   12    NBC       3
    Bold & The Beautiful   3.8   12    CBS      -9
 4  General Hosptial       3.3   10    ABC      -6
 5  As The World Turns     3.2   10    CBS      -3
 6  All My Children        3.0   10    ABC      -9
 7  One Life To Live       2.9    9    ABC      -9
 8  Guilding Light         2.8    9    CBS      -9
 9  Passions               2.3    7    NBC     -11
10  Port Charles           1.7    6    ABC       -

As easy as "Passions" ratings go up, they go down. Though last week it was up 11% over last year, this week it's down 11%. As for the other noteables, "Y&R" hit a 5.0 rating for the first time in since last winter, while "B&B," "As The World Turns" and "Guilding Light" were all up. NBC was down slightly from last week, while ABC was pretty much static. "Port Charles" reached 0% erosion from last yes, while the only soaps down more than 10% where the aforementioned "Passions" and "Y&R."

Women 18-49
                                  Rating  Share
1  Days Of Our Lives      2.9   19    NBC
 2  General Hosptial       2.6   17    ABC
 3  Young & The Restless   2.4   16    CBS
4  One Life To Live       2.1   14    ABC
 5  Bold & The Beautiful   2.1   14    CBS
 6  Passions               2.0   13    NBC
 7  All My Children        1.9   12    ABC
8  As The World Turns     1.5    9    CBS
 9  Guilding Light         1.3    6    CBS
10  Port Charles           1.1    6    ABC

Just as "Passions" was down in households, it's also  relinquished it's number 5 spot in women 18-49. But at number 6, it's still its second best showing ever, as well as being up 11% in the demo. "Days" dominated once again, though "General Hospital" was not too far off. Down at the bottom, as always, were "Guilding Light" and "Port Charles."

One demo where "Passions" did not relinquish anything was in this one. It stayed at number 2 for the umpteeth consecutive week. Other than that, there's nothing to report here.
