The Second Half: Monday
You would never know this, but the second half of the tv season technically starts today. It's been 4 months since the season started, and another 4 until it ends. So on this momentus occasion, I'm going to look at the networks night by night and assess what's worked, what hasn't, and what's to come.

8pm
This hour has been a mix match of everything since the season started. CBS's comedies (30th and 22nd) are a solid start to the night, but are fading in adults (45th and 28th), while ABC stuck with "PrimeTime Monday" and wound up in 80th spot. Fox's "The Next Joe Millionaire" was perhaps the biggest disappointment of the season, slipping to 95th in viewers and 72nd in adults. Over on the WB, "7th Heaven" (95, 99A18-49) is slowly losing the race, while the UPN sitcoms "The Parkers" (119, 119) and "Eve" (112, 113) are nothing to write home about. But the true winner has been NBC and "Fear Factor," the little reality show that could, which is now up to 18th on the season and 16th in adults.

9pm
The clear winner in this hour has been CBS. Even though "Raymond" (5th, 13th) is slipping, "Two & A Half Men" (11th, 20th) is showing much promise at 9:30pm. "Football" (7th, 9th) was ABC's savior, but it did sink with a movie (41, 51), depending on the title. NBC actually had some luck in the hour this season as "Las Vegas" turned up in 30th place, smashing the short-lived "Skin" (103, 93) on Fox. Over on the WB, "Everwood" (108) is losing viewers steadily, letting "Girlfriends" (112) and "Half & Half" (117) slowly creep up on it and beat it in adults.

10pm
It was all CBS at 10pm as "CSI Miami" (6th, 12th) kept pace with last season's torrid start. NBC got some great numbers with "Average Joe" (29th, 10th), actually beating out CBS in adults, even though it was for one episode only. "Average Joe Hawaii" however (56th, 26th) is still nothing to crow about- yet.

The Second Half:

Monday 8:00 8:30 9:00 9:30 10:00
Yes, Dear Still Standing Everybody Loves Raymond Two & A Half Men CSI Miami
Fear Factor Las Vegas Average Joe:
Hawaii
Monday Night Movie
TBA Cracking Up (March) My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance
7th Heaven Everwood
The Parkers  Eve Girlfriends Half & Half

8pm:
This'll be much the same as the fall, unless "Cracking Up" has any impact, which it probably wont. "Fear Factor" will continue to win handily, with CBS, ABC, Fox, WB and UPN in tow.

9pm:
Three shows to watch for: "Two & A Half Men," "Las Vegas" and "Fiance." "Men" is holding more and more viewers every single week from "Raymond," "Vegas" seems to be setting new series high every week, while "Fiance" got off to 19.3mil viewers, although it did have "Idol" as a lead-in. My guess is that CBS will continue to take the hour, NBC will continue to increase, with Fox and ABC battling it out for third. The ratings for the second episode of "Fiance" will really tell what's going to happen, so we'll have to wait and see. The WB will be fifth, with the UPN trailing.

10pm:
"Miami" is getting stronger as the weeks go by, but don't count out "Average Joe" yet. It won't beat CBS, but it'll still be solid for the network. What will replace it, however, remains to be seen.
