Predictions
CBS
The
likely winner
of the season, things seem to be rocking on Mondays, Tuesday and
Thursdays.
In between, there are some winners, but some truoble spots.
Series To Work
With: King
of Queens, Yes, Dear, Everybody Loves Raymond, CSI Miami, JAG, The
Guardian,
Judgign Amy, 60 Minutes II, Survivor, CSI, Without A Trace, 48
Hours
Investigates, The District, The Agency, 60 Minutes, Sunday Movie
Probables: Still
Standing, Star Search, The Amazing Race, Hack, My Big Fat Greek Life,
Becker
Monday: The
big question is, will this line-up remain in tact? With "Raymond" aging
(it's down for the first time ever), CBS does need some need blood. In
an out-there prediction, the net could air two new series at 8:30pm and
9:30pm.
Tuesday: Nothing
wrong here, though "JAG" will probably bow out soon, so a replacement
is
needed.
Wednesday: There's
been some trouble here this season, but "Star Search" has really seemed
to work at 8pm. But still, that's more of a fill in series. Will CBS
try
something different? If it really wants to open another night of
sticoms,
it could go with "Yes, Dear" (which seems to have a solid fan base), a
new series, "My Big Fat Greek Life" and "Becker" at 9:30pm, then "60
Minutes
II" at 10pm.... maybe....
Thursday: Again,
nothing wrong here.
Friday: There
is, however, something very wrong here. Simply put, the net needs
something
for 10pm. "Hack" should be back, but just like "Now & Again" and
"The
Fugitive" before it, don't count on it.
Saturday: 9-11pm
is working, but a new drama is needed at 8pm. As suggested at
thefutoncritic.com,
the "JAG" spin-off could work in the hour.
Sunday: CBS
needs a new drama for the night. The sitcoms are doing only so-so, but
has always worked on the night is dramas. Next season is no exception.
