Here's a timeslot with a good mix of series. Nevertheless, more than one show in this hour will die, while a few others will linger around for months on life support. Not helping matters is that none of the series airing here is critically acclaimed, and there's little to hype. But there is good news, especially for ABC. Thanks to it not trying something dramatically different in the slot for the first time in three seasons, ti should see a solid start, not the mess FRiday was last season

The total opposite of 8pm, this slot offers very little choice. Three new dramas go up against a strong "Dateline" (why doesn't NBC launch a drama here already? This has got to be the most wasted slot on tv), strong sticoms on the WB and a movie. There's gonna be a whole lot of crying come November.
