Chapter 7: Point Blank
Hank pulled the trigger and fired two shots at Luis. Luis stumbled backwards and hit the ground. Sam yelled "Oh my god, Luis." Hank drops the gun and his hands were trembling. He had just shot his best friend Luis. Luis eyes fluttered open. "There appears to be no bleeding" Luis says. "It appears Hank fired two blanks." "What were you thinking Hank, you could have killed Luis." "I...was...I..Oh my God.." Hank said. Sam placed the handcuffs around his brother's wrists.
"You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say or do will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford one, one will be appointed for you. Do you understand your rights?" Sam asked. Hank simply nodded. Luis got up and stared at Hank. He couldn't believe his best friend was capable of murder. Hank gets into the back of Sam's police car and Sam closes the door. As they drive away, Luis is relieved and happy to be alive. He runs into the hospital to tell Sheridan the news. Luis walks into Sheridan's room.
"What's wrong Luis, you look like you have seen a ghost."
"Hank tried to kill me he fired two shots to my chest. Luckily he only fired blanks." "Oh my God, Luis are you ok?" Sheridan asks. "I am fine, just a little shook up."
"Let's forget about the whole thing Sheridan. You know I realized something while Hank pointed a gun at me, that I would never be able to see you again. My whole life flashed before my very eyes and the only thing I kept thinking
was how much I love you." "Luis what are you saying."
"Sheridan what I am trying to say is will you marry me?"
