Chapter 1: The Kiss
Sheridan's cottage-

sheridan felt really exhausted, it was a long day and all she wanted to do was get to bed. What a day she thought, first i accidently tell Hank I would go out with him, then I had to deal with Julian, and then charity and miguel almost died. She tried to get to fall asleep but couldn't, all she could think about was luis. It would never work between us, there's so many obstacles we would have to get through to be together, I don't want to end up hurt again and i couldn't bear to hurt Luis, she continued to think about this for hours until she finally fell asleep.

At his home, luis couldn't fall asleep either, he kept think about the same things sheridan was thinking about, as much as he tried he couldn't get her off his mind. He thought about her all night. In their heart sheridan and luis knew they both had strong feeling for each other but weren't willing to admit it to themselves yet. They both desperately wanted, needed each other, but too many things were standing in their way.

Youth Center
sheridan ran into the Youth Center, she was an hour late.
"Oh god, Luis is going to be furious", she said walking through the front door.
She walked into Luis' office, he was sitting at his desk doing some paper work.
"Luis i'm so sorry i'm late, i couldn't sleep last night and i woke up really late this morning..."
"Sheridan it's okay," he said calmly, "I couldn't sleep last night either, i kept thinking about..." His voice trailed off. "About what?", she asked anxiously.
"Nothing, it's not important....look we have alot if work to do today," he said changing the subject.
"Yeah... we should probably get started. I wanted to clean out the equipment room today, it's a real mess in there."
In the equipment room they worked in silence, both on opposite ends of the room. They didn't know what to say to eachother, they kept staring at each other when the other one wasn't looking. She's so beautiful Luis thought to himself. Sheridan seemed a bit nervous, she wanted to get out of the room as soon as possible.
"why am i so nervous today." She felt all tingly just looking at luis, "damn he looks sexy, what am i saying, i have to stop thinking this way," she was deep in thought that she didn't notice luis walking up behind her with a stack of old newspaper that needed to be thrown out. Sheridan suddenly turned around and bumped right into Luis, causing him to drop all the newspaper he was carrying.
"I'm so sorry Luis, i wasn't looking where i was going..."
there eyes met and and they just stood there staring into each other's eyes. Neither one could look away as if they were hypnotized by each other. They were standing so close that they could feel each other's breath on them. Luis gently placed his hand on Sheridan's jaw and caressed her cheek with his thumb. Sheridan felt a shiver run up her spine and she could feel a million butterflies in her stomach. Before he knew what he was doing Luis' mouth was on Sheridan's. They kissed gently at first, then the kiss became intense and passionate. Sheridan wrapped her arms around Luis' neck and Luis wrapped his around sheridan's waist pulling her closer.

They were pressed up against each other, Luis' hands running up and down sheridan's back. All the feelings and emotions that were building up in the past weeks were now coming out, exploding. Suddenly, there was a loud knock on the door, startled by the noise they pulled away from each other quickly. Luis walked to the door and opened it, and saw Hank standing there.
"Oh sorry Hank, i didn't realize the door was locked," sounding a bit nervous all of a sudden. "Are you okay buddy?"
"Yeah I'm fine, i just remembered something i need to take care of Hank, i'll see you later." And with that Luis left the room not even looking back. Sheridan felt a little hurt by this, but tryed to fake a smile when Hank walked in.
"Hey Sheridan what's up? want to go next door and get a cup of coffee or something?"
"No thanks Hank, I don't feel so well, I think I'm gonna go home early and lay down" she lied and headed out of the youth center. Hank just stood there(like the idiot he is) with a confused look on his face.
what is going on here? he thought to himself.

Chapter 2: What Next?
Sheridan got back to her cottage, she walked in slamming to door behind her and sat on the couch, leaning forward with her head in her hands. "What just happened, I can't believe we kissed" Sheridan had a million thoughts racing through her mind, she knew know that Luis felt the same way about her that she felt for him. "But why did he walk out like that, what if he regrets kissing me" and, she thought back to the kiss, his soft lips on hers, how right it felt being in Luis's arms. She could almost still feel his lips on hers and smiled at the thought. no one ever made her feel the way Luis makes her feel. She never felt so strongly about anyone before.
"Gwen's right, I am in Love with Luis" she shocked herself by her own words, it was the first time she had admitted to herself of being in love with him.
"What if he doesn't feel the same way, he did walk out without saying a word."
Just then there was a knock on the door, she got up and opened the door. she was suprised to see Luis standing there.
"Sheridan we need to talk,"
"yeah we do........."
"Come in Luis" he followed her in to the living room.
"You want to sit down?"
"No thanks, I can't stay long I have to start my shift at the station soon.....look about the kiss, I'm sorry I shouldn't have kissed you like that..."
"As I recall we kissed each other" sheridan said nervously.

"It was a mistake Sheridan, we both know that, it could never work between us....We should just forget what happened."
Luis could see the hurt in Sheridan's eyes, and just wished he could wrap his arms around her and hold her.
"If that's what you want Luis........it's probably for the best right...."her voice was shaky and Sheridan felt her eyes welling up with tears, she turned away to hide it.
"Sheridan are you okay?" Luis asked concerned.
"I'm fine...maybe you should leave now" she said still not looking at him.
Luis didn't want to leave her like this, but he knew he had to leave before he broke down and admitted his true feelings for her. He said walking to the door, he stopped at the door way and looked back at her, she was still standing with her back turned to him. He felt horrible, it hurt him to say that their kiss was a mistake. He finally walked out closing to door behind him. As soon as sheridan heard the door close she closed her eyes and all the tears she was holding back came flooding out. She didn't want to cry but she couldn't control the tears. She hated that she let herself fall in love with Luis Lopez-Fitzerald.

Chapter 3: Feelings Too Strong
For the next 2 weeks Luis and Sheridan avoided each other. Luis more than Sheridan. Luis worked it out so they would work at the Youth Center at different times of the day, he worked in the center in the morning, usually coming in extra early to get all the work done and leave not wanting to run into Sheridan. Sheridan came to the Center in the late afternoon, did her work and left. They were both miserable, they wanted each other so badly, Luis' every thought was about Sheridan and no matter how hard Sheridan tried she couldn't get Luis out of her mind.

Youth Center-
Sheridan was in the gym putting away the basketballs when Hank walked in.
"Hey Sheridan"
"Oh hi Hank."
"Are okay Sheridan, you seemed kinda down all week, is everything okay?"
"Everything's fine Hank, I've just had alot of things on my mind lately"
"Well i know what will take your mind off things, want to go out to dinner tonight?" Sheridan was getting a little annoyed with Hank hanging around all the time, but she tried not to show it. "No thanks Hank, I have a lot of things to finish up here.....maybe some other time."
"Okay but if you change your mind...call me"
Sheridan just gave him a smile as he left, and went back to work. What a day she said out loud. After she was done she went to Luis's office to get her purse and coat.
Luis' Office -
Sheridan opened the closet and got out her things and was about to leave when she saw Luis walk into the office. Their eyes met and they stood there staring for a few moments.
"Hey Luis" finally said.
"Hi" Sheridan said looking away as if annoyed.
"I thought you probably left already...I just came to get some papers I forgot to take with me this morning."
"Well I was just leaving" Sheridan said heading towards the door but Luis grabbed her arm and pulled her close to him and kissed her roughly on the lips. Sheridan didn't pull away, she had been longing to kiss him again. Luis finally pulled away from the kiss, out of breath and rested his head against hers. Their lips just inches apart
"I can't stop thinking about you"
"I can't stop thinking about you either." They continued to kiss intensely. Luis picked her up and set her down on his desk, leaning over her, he moved from her lips down to her neck.
"Luis she whispered we have to stop...someone might walk in."
"Yeah" he said looking into her beautiful eyes. He kissed her again gently and she smiled.
"Let's get out of here."

Chapter 4: I Love You
Later that night: Sheridan's cottage-

Sheridan and Luis lay on the couch kissing passionately.
"Luis wait"...she managed to get out.
"What?" he replied kissing her again.
"We need to talk...about what's going on between us" she whispered against his mouth.
"Yeah your right we do need to talk about us." Luis got off Sheridan and sat down beside her on the couch.
"Actually that's all I've been thinking about lately" he said smiling.
"Me too."
"I'm sorry I hurt you before, it's just...I thought that if things got to serious between us, I would just end up hurting you if things didn't work out in the long run" Luis said with a serious face, looking deep into Sheridan's eyes. The way he looked at her made her weak in the knees and gave her an intense feeling at the pit of her stomach.
"Do you still feel that way?" she said with sadness in her voice.
"Sheridan all I know for sure is that I want to be with you, I can't fight my feelings for you any longer. I've never felt this way about anyone before."
Sheridan's eyes were starting to well up with tears now.
"Luis I feel the same way" she said as a single tear streamed down her cheek. Luis placed his hand gently on Sheridan's jaw and leaned forward kissing the tear away. He placed another soft kiss near her mouth before finally moving to her lips. Sheridan felt her heart speed up, he made her feel incredible with every touch of his soft lips.
"I love you" he said against her lips.
"I love you too Luis"
"I love you so much" Sheridan said before pulling Luis into another deep passionate kiss. Sheridan finally pulled away and looked into Luis' eyes.
"Make love to me" she whispered, caressing his jaw with her hand. Just looking into Sheridan's beautiful eyes made Luis crazy with desire. Luis pulled Sheridan closer to him kissing her intensely before letting her go. Sheridan led Luis to her bedroom where they made hot passionate love. (I'm not going to get into details but just know that it was the best sex either of them ever had. LOL)

Next Morning-

It was about 6:30am, Sheridan woke up to an empty bed. She looked up to see Luis dressing.
"Are you leaving?" she asked still groggy.
"Yeah" he replied walking over to the bed and sitting down beside her.
"I have an early shift at the station, but I'll see you at the Youth Center later" he said running his hand down her bare back.
"Okay" she said smiling. Luis gave Sheridan a long kiss before leaving. Sheridan was still tired so she went back to sleep.

Locker room of the Police Station-

Luis was sitting on the bench lost in thought. He was thinking about Sheridan and last night. He was sitting there thinking and smiling to himself and didn't even notice Sam walk in.
"Your late." Sam said suddenly startling Luis.
"Hey Sam, sorry, I woke up late this morning."
"Well judging from those scratch marks on your back, you must have had some night" he said grinning at Luis.
"So I guess I can assume you were with Sheridan Crane last night?"
"Yes I was with Sheridan last night...and before you give me another lecture about getting involved with a Crane..."
"Luis all I'm saying is watch your back with that family, you don't know what they are capable of when it comes to protecting the Crane name."
"If your talking about Julian and Alaister, I can handle them and so can Sheridan."
"You know Alaister and Julian aren't going to let this thing with you and Sheridan go, they'll stop at nothing to come between you two...Look just be careful okay." Sam said walking to the door.
"Sheridan must be something really special for you to fall in love with a Crane." Luis smiled.
"Sheridan is special to me..and thanks Sam."

Sheridan's cottage-

Sheridan was about to go take a shower when she heard someone knocking. She ran to door still wearing only her bath robe.
"Hey Sheridan."
"Hi Gwen, come in"
"Sheridan did your just wake up, it's almost 10:30, did you forget we were suppose to go to breakfast?"
"I'm so sorry Gwen, I woke up late."
"Sheridan is there something your not telling me?" Gwen asked noticing Sheridan's cheery mood.
"What do you mean?" she said blushing.
"Well you've been in a depressed mood all week because of Luis and all of a sudden you seem really happy this morning...unless..." she said catching on. "Did something happen between you and Luis that I don't know about?"
"I don't know what your talking about Gwen" Sheridan said turning away from her.
"Sheridan your practically glowing, now come on, tell me what happened between you and Luis." Gwen said excitedly walking over to Sheridan and stood in front of her. "Spill it Sheridan."
"All right I admit it, Luis and I talked things through and...we spent the night together" her voice trailed off.
"Oh my god!...You spent the night together. You guys don't waste any time do you." Gwen said teasing Sheridan. Sheridan just smiled.
"I'm happy for you Sheridan, I can see that Luis really makes you happy."
"He does make me happy Gwen, when I'm with him it just feels so right...I've never felt that way before." Sheridan took a quick shower and got dressed. Sheridan and Gwen were getting ready to leave when Julian walked in.
"Julian, what are you doing here?"
"I need to talk to you Sheridan."
"About what, I don't have time right now, we were just leaving.."
"This will only take a minute" he said cutting her off.
"I'll meet you in the car Sheridan" Gwen said walking out the door.
"Okay Julian what do you want to talk to me about?" she asked annoyed.
"I just spoke to father this morning and he wants me to tell you how proud he is of you."
"Proud, of what?" she said dryly.
"Well for deciding not to get involved with officer Lopez-Fitzerald of course" Julian said with a smirk.
"What the hell are you talking about?"
"Oh come on Sheridan, I know things between you and Luis aren't going to well, I guess you finally realized that a relationship between you and the housekeeper's son could never work." Sheridan got angry and was about to tell Julian what happened last night but decided not to. If I tell him about me and Luis he's just going to try to break us up she thought.
"Look Julian I don't have time for this right now, I have to go" she said walking out of her cottage.
"Sheridan I'm not finished..Sheridan!" Julian called but Sheridan was already out the door. When Sheridan got into the car Gwen noticed she was a little upset.
"What was that all about?"
"Nothing, Julian was just telling me how proud father is of me for deciding to stay away from Luis."
"Didn't you tell him that you love Luis?"
"No, I don't want to tell him just yet he's just going to try to ruin things for us" she said sadly.
"Sheridan don't let Julian and Alaister manipulate you, do what's you think is right for you."
"Thanks Gwen, your a really good friend."

Chapter 5:
Youth Center-few hours later-

Sheridan was about to go into the youth center when she saw Hank walking towards her. Oh great, this is exactly what I don't need right now she thought.
"Sheridan, just the girl I wanted to see" Hank said smiling.
"Hi Hank, what's up?"
"I wanted to ask if you wanted to go out with me tonight"
"Hank I can't." Sheridan thought of an excuse,
"I promised Gwen I would help her plan some things for her wedding."
"Well how about tomorrow night then?" Hank had noticed that Luis and Sheridan were avoiding each other all week and was convinced that Sheridan was not interested in Luis.
"Hank your a really nice guy, but I think we should just be friends" she said as nicely as possible.
"Sheridan does this have anything to do with Luis?"
"Hank could we please talk about this later? I have a lot of things I have to do today at the center."
Okay, well I'll see you later then."
"Thanks Hank."

Luis' office -

"Hey" Sheridan said seductively walking into the office.
"Hey" Luis smiled, grabbing Sheridan by the waist and giving her a long sexy kiss.
"I've been dying to kiss you all morning" he said. They just stood there for awhile fixed on each other's gaze.
"Luis did I ever tell you that you have the most amazing eyes?" Sheridan finally said.
"Isn't that my line Luis" said laughing.
"Luis there's something I need to ask you?" Sheridan said remembering her talk with Julian.
"What Sheridan, is something wrong?" he asked concerned.
"Do you think we could just not tell people about us for awhile?"
"Why?"
"Because I don't want anyone trying to come between us before we even have a real chance at a relationship Luis."
Are you talking about your father?"
"It's not just my father, everyone seems to have their own negative opinion about us getting involved, I'm tired of people telling me that things can't work between us, just please can we not tell anyone we are seeing each other for a little while."
"Of course" he said lovingly and pulling her into a hug.
"I love you."
"I love you too."

Chapter 6:
3 weeks later- Spring Dance at the Youth Center.

Practically everyone in Harmony was at the Youth Center for the annual Spring Dance- Kids and adults, even Tabitha and Timmy. Luis and Sheridan had managed to keep their romance a secret, only few a people knew about them including Pilar, Gwen, Ethan and Sam. The gym was crowded with people, everyone was having a great time talking and dancing. Luis was standing at the back end of the gym talking to Hank and Beth.
"Where's Sheridan, I thought she was going to be here tonight?" Hank asked.
"I think she'll be here soon" Luis answered. Luis hated lying to Hank about seeing Sheridan, but he and Sheridan had agreed to keep their relationship a secret. Just then Sheridan walked into the gym, she looked around and spotted Luis. Their gaze was fixed on each other, She looks so beautiful Luis thought. Hank saw the way Luis was staring at Sheridan and said smiling like a fool.
"Don't even think about it Buddy, I'm going to ask Sheridan to dance." Sheridan didn't take her eyes off Luis, no one else mattered, she walked over to where he was not even noticing Hank and Beth.
"Would you like to dance?" she asked when she reached Luis. Luis just smiled and followed her to the middle of the dance floor. Hank's jaw practically dropped to the floor and Beth's eyes almost popped out of her head. They were burning with jealousy as they watched Sheridan wrap her arms around Luis' neck and he pulled her close to his body holding her tight by the waist. Everyone in the Gym stopped what they were doing and watched Sheridan and Luis dancing.
"Theresa something definitely going on between Luis and Sheridan Crane" TC Russell observed. Kay watched with her mouth open,
"wow simone, I would do anything to have miguel look at me the way Luis looks at Sheridan."
"Kay when are you going to get it through your thick head that Miguel loves Charity" Simone replied rolling her eyes. Theresa was dumbfounded by what she saw.
"Whitney do see that, look at them"
"Yeah could they possibly dance any closer" she said smiling. Luis and Sheridan continued to dance.
"You have no idea how badly I wanted to make love to you right now Sheridan Luis whispered.
"We can always leave early" she replied smiling seductively. Luis smiled and pulled sheridan even closer.
"You know everyone is watching us right now"
"I don't care" and with that she cupped Luis face and kissed him passionately in front of everyone. They finally stopped kissing, and Luis stared into Sheridan's eyes.
"I guess our secret is out now"
"I guess so" Sheridan replied smiling.
