Gia walked to Kelley's with long strides. She was supposed to meet Emily and Liz to go over the guests lists and reception menu. On her way inside, she bumped into someone, causing her to drop her things.
"Oh! I'm sorry, I...." She was unpleasantly shocked to see Helena Cassadine staring at her with the smirk on her face. Gia bent to pick up her supplies.
"What are you doing here? I thought you left town." God, she REALLY didn't have time for this!
"Is that any way to treat a future relative, Gia dear?"
"Don't call me that. Excuse me, I'm meeting someone." She tried to sidestep the old bag but was annoyed when she didn't budge. Gia stood there waiting for whatever Helena just HAD to say to her.
"I'm really disappointed that I wasn't invited to the wedding. Very disappointed indeed."
So that was what she wanted. An invitation. Well she was in for a rude awakening. "You have some nerve, lady. You honestly believe that we would invite you after the hell you put us through? You're nuts!"
"I would watch the way you spoke to me, Gia. I'm not you're mother."
Gia took step closer to her enemy. "I would watch the way you talk about my mother." She took another step toward her. "You're just asking for it..."
"Hey, what's going on here?" Liz and Emily walked over to Gia's side and together they faced Helena.
"Nothing at all," Helena said, unmoved. "I was just wishing Gia good luck on her up and coming marriage. I would hate for anything to go wrong on such an important day." With her last word said, Helena moved on.
"I wish she would try and do something to my wedding. I would have her ass! And as for receiving an invite, she'll be waiting a long time because it will be a cold day in HELL before she does."
"Whoa.... Gia, I know we're talking about Helena here but you never let her get to you like that. Something bothering you?" Liz asked, concerned.
"I don't know. I haven't been feeling too good lately. I'm glad you guys are here. I was about to go crazy!"
"Hey, you know we don't have to do this right now," Emily said.
"Em's right. If you're not feeling up to this, we can do it some other time," Liz said, concerned.
"Thanks, but the sooner we can finish, the better off I'll be. Let's go inside." Gia went inside while Liz and Em exchanged doubtful looks.
