In 1965, I was the mother of 3 daughters, living on the upper Mohave desert of California. We survived without TV, a telephone, hot running water or a car of my own. My husband's job was over 20 miles away and he needed the truck for work. Our nearest neighbor was 2 miles away, the nearest phone was 6 and the nearest hospital or grocery store was 35. Every two weeks we went into town, to do the grocery shopping, two weeks worth of laundry, and go to the library. The library was the big point in my life. I took out as many books as I could carry, and one day I took out, 'Astrology Made Easy'. I don't recall the author, but I immediately started drawing up practice horoscopes. Eventually I invested in a set of ephemeris, some books and started to draw and interpret individual horoscopes.
I continued to practice astrology for the next 25 years and still dabble at it occasionally. As I said in my introduction page, I am a Humanistic astrologer and am not was I ever likely to focus on fortune telling. Though most of my clients really wished I would. While I enjoyed doing charts, engaging in astrological counseling, I found people assuming I knew a lot more than I should about them. At one point some of my former associates actually hired a warlock to block a curse I was supposed to have laid on one of them.

Eventually I grew tired of clients who bugged me about the future, people who equated astrology with the black arts and others who thought I was engaging in a puesdo science. However, my knowledge of the Art of Astrology never quite went away and while I no longer practice, I would like to share a little of it with you.
