Changing Seasons on the Reservation
In early spring, grasses and flowers
appear across the Reservation.
As summer approached, cheatgrass, the predominant grass,
produces seed and dies. The land turns various shades of brown.
By fall, most of the forage is gone.
During the winter, much of the area is covered with snow.
However, the horses seem to find adequate foo in the riparian areas
along Dry Creek and Logy Creek.
