Doug Gillard: Aye, sir, firing phaser bursts.

Several orange blasts emit from the front of the shuttle, grazing the outer hull of the ship. The gas quickly moves away from the area around the shuttle. With the final blast, a shower of sparks falls down over the forward cockpit window, and a bang resonates through the hull.

Vex Xiang: Sensors indicate a decompression explosion!

The last phaser burst struck a protruding section of the hull that could not be seen on sensors, and created a hull breech in the ship. The subsequent explosion ripples through the entire ship, tearing it apart and sending the shuttle spiraling away out of control. You and your team are shaken violently as panels and conduits explode around you. Gillard attempts to correct the shuttle's orientation, but without the shields at maximum the engines have consumed too much of the gas, and helm is useless. Your shuttlecraft spirals out of control towards the planet. It burns up in the atmosphere.

You are dead
