Vin and Gwen aren't our real names, they're what we've elected to use as trailnames. There's no cute trail story behind them. We are constantly joking about how hot Vin Diesel and Gwen Steffani are, so we decided if we were going to be spending days, weeks, and months at a time out on the trail we could at least imagine that we were married to a hot celebrity.
VIN
Vin's real name is Joshua. He's 32 years old and was raised in California. He's always lived near the mountains and loves spending time rock climbing, hiking, and just generally being outside. He's a vegetarian who thinks it's just not right to confine living beings to a horribly small space and then zap them with an electric bolt to the brain. Vin has a BS in Microbiology and is currently working full time in the Medical Microbiology and Immunology department of the local university studying a rare pathogen.
GWEN
Gwen's real name is Kimberly. She's 22 years old and was born and raised in Texas (howdy y'all!). She's also a rock climber, and just recently became interested in hiking. She eats meat 'cause animals are just too tasty to pass up, but is still very concerned with animal rights and would like to find a more humane way to raise and slaughter farm animals (yeah.....like there's a humane way to slaughter something). Gwen has a BS in Biology and is currently working full time in the Biochemistry/Biophysics department of the local university studying prostate cancer.
