Positoids
Homeworld: Unknown possibly none.
Physical Description:
The Positoids
are positronic life-forms that resemble spider-like creatures with a
humanoid head. They are black with a greenish glow around their
joints.
Sociological Background:
Not much is
known about them except they are older than the Borg. They may even
have been created by the species that eventually became the Borg.
Psychological Background:
They are
emotionless yet extremely adaptive. Unlike Borg they can work
independent even though they are always in contact with each other.
They view organics as useless material and don’t “dispose” of them
unless provoked.
Technological Background:
Their
technological advancement is equal to that of the Federation's. This
is because they use ships they find to make more of them. Any new
technology is reproduced and distributed to the other positoids.
They have a mental link similar to the link all Borg share except
theirs is in a chroniton wave instead of a subspace wave. For this
reason they give off trace amounts of chroniton radiation.

Name: Temporal Borg
(Information gathered from USS Mystic and Terminal X)
Homeworld:
From an Alternate Universe; In the 22nd
century Captain Jonathan Archer was taken from the
Enterprise NX-01 to the 31st century. During the brief time change a
temporal ship that was currently finishing a project was dispatched to correct the error since they were still displaced in time and protected from the change. This ship was the
USS Fate, NCV-23579-B; upon arriving in the 31st century as it came out of temporal warp it was attacked by numerous Borg vessels.
These Borg vessels were in fact indigenous to the new timeline. When Archer was sent back to the 22nd century 3 vessels received scans of the only non-borg life signs in over 100 years. In the seconds it took the timeline to realign the 3 ships had isolated our dimensional frequency and activated their
experimental drives (See Social). When the timeline was fixed, they were in our time stream and a new 31st century.
Physical Description:
While similar to the Borg they appear sleeker and more
streamlined.
Sociological Background:
Without Starfleet ever existing the Borg
were not drawn to the Alpha and Beta quadrants till the 26th
century. Were they proceeded to take over the Romulan Empire,
Klingon Empire, & Cardassian Empire. Since these were the only
major threats it moved on to conquer and enslave the rest of the
quadrants with the Dominion and Fluidic space being the only
areas to slow their expansion. By the 30th century the Borg had absolute dominion over the
galaxy and fluidic space. By the 31st century they had perfected
time travel and began working on a new experiment that was equipped on 3 of their vessels (a scout ship, a sphere, and a cube); the
experimental core was designed to transverse dimensions.
Soon after
arriving in our dimension a battle ensued that destroyed all but
the scout ship, which time jumped to the 24th century. There
they saw this dimensions borg as weak and barely worthy of
assimilation so it began abducting and salvaging Borg and Borg
technology from this dimension’s dieing Borg alliance. An
armored battle cube was eventually created that housed the scout
ship. After analyzing this dimension’s Borg, the temporal collective decided to try and convert this time stream into one similar to their original dimension. Time after time though they were defeated by temporal cruisers and battleships from the Federation in multiple time periods. After inspecting the temporal collective's losses, they hid themselves and began slowly massing new drones and building new ships. They took their parts and people from multiple timeframes as to not draw large attention from Starfleet’s temporal ships.
Eventually they were ready and planned a course of action; to prevent Starfleet from ever developing temporal technology.
After running into the USS Mystic and
failing to destroy it Terminal X has been severed from the
Temporal Collective and the only known data is from the three
pronged timeline assault were they were again engaged by the USS
Mystic whose old ship form, Auxillary Craft and Crew sacrificed
their lives to stop the threat. It is unknown if any Temporal
Borg still exist anywhere in the timestream.
Psychological Background:
This new Temporal Collective has lost
some of its confidence and boldness but not its sense of
superiority or ability to plan complicated and decisive
strategies. While it uses one hive mind its Queen is more of a
directive that exists in every drone and is capable of making
each drone act independantly of the others if needed.
This makes them look as if they
are not single-minded like the Borg. always active when bording
enemy craft they are capable of rapid mental and situational
adaptation and will attack anyone... even those unarmed,
wounded, or running.
Technological Background:
While parts, supplies, and drones
originate from multiple time periods, and thus have multiple
signatures, everythings is assembled converted, and assimilated
using 31st century nanites and technological data. They have
advanced shielding imervious to most energy types but are
vulnerable to bladed weapons and archaic firearms that use
physical ammunition.
They have chroniton phasers built into their
right forearms; chroniton radiation can be lethal so wear body
armor from a weapons locker if you feel you are not fast enough to
dodge a blast.
If a Borg has no circular chest plate and a wider girth then it is
a suicide drone carrying a chroniton bomb. Even if you kill it, it
will explode so get away quickly we can worry about repairs later.

Name: The Chort
Homeworld:
Located on the outer rim of the
Alpha Quadrant, but the system and all life therein was destroyed in
the year 65 million BC
Physical Description:
The Chort's
are a variety of ape species. Only a single male gorilla, and a
single
female chimpanzee exist. They are massive
humanoids covered by fur. Their heads are larger than current
apes on Earth. Physically they are very strong.
Sociological Background:
They were an
intelligent space faring species before a war that wiped out their
civilization. They were a peaceful race that enjoyed exploration in
all aspects. They believed in a single god that created all life as
well as the universe and followed his teachings for eventual
galactic peace and harmony.
Psychological Background:
Very similar
to Terran apes. They believe in inter-racial mates and marriage was
long and very rarely ended in divorce.
Technological Background:
Ships were initially designed as large exploratory vessels, but
relations with another race forced them to make more offensive
weaponry and craft to use them. They discovered temporal engines
recently, and have had warp drive for at least 75 years. They have been
experimenting with controlled reactions with the
dangerous Omega particles. (Lost craft discovered by the USS Mystic)
