Captain's Log

::Sighing can be heard:: Two weeks of working on the ship with almost no sleep, and I am suppose to keep pushing myself like this beacause he said so... NO... back to the actual purpose of this log before I break the Temporal Prime Directive. Mysty finally revealed her big secret to us, a secret so buried she didn't even know she was hiding it until she knew where to look in her files. Now the mystery of why the Old Mystic could never travel within 50 years of its originating time is known, and we can now travel within that time span. Our first stop is May 15, 2470, at Starfleet Academy on Earth. There we will attempt a simultanious beam up of 93 cadets who died during their graduating ceremony. The details of how we will save them without detection, orientate them to their situation, and minimalize risk is complicated and will require much planning before we get there.

All those repairs and we blow out power relays, power junctions, the transporter grid, and almost lost every major and most of the minor systems on the ship. I'm just glad we got all 93 aboard even if a few may not make it. I'm told they have been moved from Cargo Bay1 to the Primary Medical Areas. After two hours of major repair work I can finally make my way there and oversee the possible recruitment of the survivors.

88, 88 new crew, the fact that they will many be Ensigns and low NCOs with only a coupole Lt. jg.s to start doesn't matter, its the success that is astounding. He was right, there is satisfaction to be found in seeing everything come together and knowing you can finally step back and do a little less; it was just shakey for awhile. I had to make a difficult and risk decision to save the most critical of the recruits. He was dying and there was nothing left that we could do, so I told him his situation and he agreed to be turned into a Borg. Even though the nanites assimilating him were 24th century and easily deactivated once he was stable, there was always the risk they could run out of control leaving no choice but to termninate the man. Not only was he gratefull and willing to join our cause but he has made quick friends with Terminal, not sure if thats a good thing of not. We are slowly repairing the damage done by this event but even when its over I'm sure there will be more work to do... there always is. I guerss between the speech I gave and their limited access to the database not only did all 88 join up but there isn't nearly as many requesting one on one talks with me as we thought there may be; only 25 in all so not bad for out first recruitment drive. Now that we will have a skeleton crew things should relax for a littlle bit, I just wish I was able to find out more about the surprise I was told to expect was coming...
