"Ready, Willing, and Underway"

Stardate:50405.24.1300

Sharek was sitting in his ready room finishing off the last of the padds that had been accumulating on his desk.

Dawn popped in on Sharek, "Hi Sir."

Sharek, "Hello Dawn. What is it this time?"

Dawn, "We are now two minutes away from the edge of the anomaly surrounding the Liberi system."

Sharek, "Thank you Dawn, just remember when Anton said to be thorough he didn't mean update everyone every minute when the data isn't changing. This makes the thirtieth minute in a row that you have told me how many minutes till we arrive."

Dawn, "Well like you said I'm being thorough. Besides it's lonely without Anton here."

At this time there was a beep from the door. Sharek sighed, "Come in."

Major Sterling walked in to the office. Sterling" Sir you wanted to see me?"

Sharek, "Yes, Due to your actions during the last mission you should receive a promotion. Unfortunately I have received another report, from a female crewmember who wishes to remain unknown, that you were harassing her. Therefore I herby promote you for your actions on the mission and demote you for Conduct unbecoming of an officer."

Sterling, "Thank you Sir, I'm sorry Sir. I will make a better effort this time to be aware of my actions when around women."

Sharek, "I know you will. That is why I am assigning one of Dawn's holograms to watch your actions when you aren't in your quarters and to help keep you in line. Since we don't have any counselors hopefully she can condition you enough so we don't need one."

Sterling, "Yes Sir. Is there anything else Sir."

     Sharek, "No thank you, dismissed."

Sterling left the room and a second Dawn hologram appeared next to him as he was walking.

Dawn, "There is now one minute till we reach the border." Sharek just put his face in his palms.

Suddenly Mysty appeared on the couch in the ready room, "I have reviewed all information in our database and cross referenced that with our scans of the anomaly as we have been approaching it. It occurs to me that it would be easier to just travel back in time to before the anomaly occurred and settle everyone then. That way we don't have to deal with this field the anomaly creates."

Sharek looked up at her, "Thank you Mysty, Do you have a date in mind to go to."

Mysty, "Not yet but I was thinking the 21st century. That gives us nearly 100 years of dropping off crewmen at different dates and places before we have to deal with the phenomenon."

Dawn, "Why not the twentieth century? Data provided suggests that the system was never discovered by any other race till the federation detected it on accident after dropping out of Warp in the middle of a large area of empty space."

Sharek, "Fine, go to Terminal and see how soon we can be ready. I'll meet you down there and choose a date from the compiled options."

Dawn and Mysty disappeared at the same time as Sharek stood up and headed for the door.

A few minutes later in engineering...

Sharek walked into the Chief engineers office and saw Mysty and Dawn standing next to Terminal.

Terminal, "The temporal engines are recharged and we have determined an arrival date due to additional data the Temporal Borg accumulated on race exploration which includes when they encountered specific systems."

Sharek walked over to terminal and looked at the display.  It read...  January 23, 2012

Terminal, "I also took the liberty of having the engineering staff assemble all the supplies we will be leaving our settlers when we reach Liberi 5. It is on the cargo transporters ready to go. I took the liberty of adding a few items they may need that isn't on your standard colony list that not only meets but exceeds the personal requests of the settlers."

Sharek, "Thank you Terminal X. Between you, Mysty, and Dawn. We should be able to get by till more senior officers can be found. Mysty, make sure the crewmen who wish to settle this planet are packed and ready to go and move their belongings to the transporter rooms they will be leaving from."

Mysty, "On it." and with that she disappeared.

     Dawn, "What should I do?"

Sharek, "Tell Sterling to assemble a team. They will be going down to the settlement site and securing the area before we transport anything else down. Afterwards I want you to prepare a security team to

stand guard while they set up shelters and settle themselves."

Dawn, "Can I lead the security team?"

Sharek, "Fine, you can have Terminal authorize the release of a mobile emitter for your use. But after the mission make sure it gets put back."

Dawn, "Yes, Sir!" and with that she disappeared.

Terminal, "Sir I have released a mobile emitter to her and will continue with preparing for temporal jump unless there is anything else."

Sharek, "That’s all Terminal, thank you for stepping up and helping I'll make sure no one knows." Sharek tapped behind his ear, "Sharek to bridge, set a course directly to Liberi 5. The ship is ready for temporal jump. Initiate the temporal fold as soon as the new course is laid in and executed."

Bridge officer, "Yes sir. Initiating now."

Sharek looked at his chronometer and decided to go check on Ael, so he left engineering for sickbay. When he arrived at their quarters she was passed out on the bed this past week of preparations for the settlers had been hard on everyone. Not wanting to wake her he silently slipped back out and headed back to the turbolift to go to the bridge.

Sharek was in his ready room, he had just been notified that they had arrived at Liberi 5 and the Marine Team was assembling to head to the planet in ten minutes. Sharek had just leaned back in his chair
hoping for an easy away mission.

Ariss approached the Ready Room and chimed at the door.  At the "Enter" she stepped into the room.  "I received a message saying you wished to see me, Sir," she said.

Sharek sat up in his chair, "Yes, I wanted to make sure everything was okay and you were settled in, first off."

Ariss flashed him a smile. "I'm settled," she answered.  "I wouldn't say everything is okay right now, but it will be."

Sharek, "Good, we've lost too many crewmen because of recent events as it is. The other thing I wanted to ask you about involves me. Since you came aboard you insist you know me and the history report
you filed shares a similarity with events from my own past, but I've never met you. I wanted to find out more about the Sharek you know, and after this away mission maybe time travel to find him."

Ariss blinked.  "Isn't that a tad dangerous, Sir? It could mess with reality or something..." she trailed off.  The mechanics of time lines were a bit beyond her at this stage, she was having enough trouble dealing with the fact that she was now in a different time.

Sharek, "You are correct, it is dangerous. Which is why you will have to be the one questioning this other Sharek Tekon, the one from your past. We have found out where and when he is at using information
you gave us and cross referencing it with the Intelligence information in our computer. We should be able to have you meet him one week before you were sent into the past for retiring from section 31."

"You want me to interrogate him?  With all due respect sir, I can’t do that.  He saved my life on many occasions..."

Sharek, "I realize the complexity of this which is why you job is simple. You need to obtain a simple blood sample from him. Then ask him one question. Has he consented to be involved in any Genetic Experiments."

Ariss' eyes narrowed ever so slightly. "Why?" was all she responded.

Sharek, "Your report said your Sharek was 36 when you left. I myself am 54. Now either I am a clone of him that was significantly altered genetically and given false memories or he was genetically altered, enhanced, and had his memory wiped. If it is the later and I am him then that means he was then either lost in time or sent to another time period. Either way the blood sample when compared with my own will be able to tell which scenario is the correct one."

Ariss considered his words.  "I will do as you wish, Captain.  Can I tell him why I am asking such things?"

Sharek, "Yes, you can, to the extent that you are now a member of a timeship that is investigating a matter that involves him. Try not to be too specific or give too many details when the time comes. We believe that it is your upcoming meeting with him that causes him to have you sent back in time rather than killed for retiring."

Ariss stared at him.  "He was not in charge of those events," she ground out through gritted teeth. It couldn't be true; there was no way the Sharek she knew would have even considered having her killed for
leaving.

Sharek, "Section 31's policy at that time was that any members who retired from active duty were liabilities and must be terminated to protect the secrecy of section 31. From what little evidence found and what you yourself have said, he was your higher up in section 31 so if he didn't take care of your retirement then someone else would."

Ariss nodded.  "Was there anything else you needed, Sir?" she asked, her mind going a million miles an hour.

Sharek, "Not at this time. Feel free to help with settling the crewmen who will be staying on Liberi 5, other than that dismissed."

Ariss nodded and saluted, then turned and exited the Ready Room.

"Sight to Site"
Stardate:50406.03.1300

Marine Team's Alpha and Beta beamed down to Liberi 5, with Zorran along to supervise, to a site Mysty and Dawn selected for availability of natural resources and plentiful plant and animal life.

What they saw was breath taking. They were in a small clearing near a crystal blue lake. A small mountain range boarded this area with a steady stream and waterfall going into the lake. From the lake a
stream proceeded into lush evergreen and coniferous trees that bordered the clearing.  A small river ran from under the mountain about 100 meters away and turned parallel to the clearing and mountain range merging with the stream in the wilderness. For all purposes this area was naturally protected with the stream being its most vulnerable side.

     Zorran looked at Sterling and nodded for him to proceed;
Sterling, "Beta Team Search the lake and mountain side starting with the lake and heading toward the river. Alpha team start at the lake and river side then work backwards toward the mountains. I want a standard search grid, and make sure to secure the sensor equipment every 15 meters. It will act as a security grid that the ship will read until the settlers have set up their equipment."

Beta and Alpha team, "Sir, Yes Sir."

As both teams moved off to their duties Sterling pressed the comm link behind his ear, "Sterling to Dawn and Security Teams 1, 2, and 3. No immediate sign of hostiles, Marines are begining their search pattern
and setting up the sensor perimeter. You are cleared to beam down and guard the clearing and commence package transport for settler site alpha."

Dawn sounding very cheerful and happy, "Sure thing. Be there in a second." No sooner did the comm. line go out Sterling saw the transporter signature of Dawn and Security Team 1. Immediately Team one took up positions around the perimeter of the clearing. As Team 2 beamed down they began moving and setting up signal boosters around the area to make the cargo transport easier. Finally Team 3 beamed down and
reinforced Team 1's positions.

Dawn, "Well Sterling, We're secure here you may proceed with your orders."

Sterling realized Dawn was enjoying this immensely so he simply said, "Yes Ma'am"

Zorran couldn't help but snicker to herself as she walked around and supervised everyones actions. This was her first real away mission since the problems with her leg finally ceased once and for all. Now she barely had a limp and was glad to be off the ship even if it was just to supervise.

As Sterling ran off to take his place with Alpha Team Dawn was gawking at the incredible beauty surrounding her. The look on her face was like a child seeing the world in vibrant detail for the first time.
She stood there for minutes on end as Cargo containers were transported down around her and organized into piles by Team 2.

     Meanwhile with Beta Team...

Beta team had finished their sweep around the lake and mountain side except for the waterfall. As they got closer the temporary leader Burns called out., "It looks like there is a ledge wide enough for
someone to walk along going behind the waterfall. Caitlin your with me the rest of you proceed with the search." Burns and Caitlin proceeded along the ledge and soon found themselves behind the waterfall in a natural cavern that was 10 meters wide by 7 meters high and 40 meters deep. As they searched the cavern they found no other side passages or exits. In the back was a 5 meter wide hot spring bubbling in the back. Burns, "Caitlin take reading of this hot spring and make sure there isn't any harm to the settlers  or underwater tunnels."

Caitlin, "Yes Sir." Caitlin proceeded with a detailed tricorder scan while Burns made detailed scans of the walls for anything they may have missed. About ten minutes later they finished.

Caitlin, "All scan show a normal shallow pool for the hot spring being feed via very small ducts going into the mountain. The water seems to be accented by the cavern and has very good mineral and vitamin levels."

Burns, "Yeah this whole cavern is rich in mineral content. That hot spring will be good for medical and relaxation for the settlers. Let’s meet up with the rest of the team."

     Meanwhile over with Alpha Team...

Alpha Team member 2, "Major Sterling Sir, we have made our way to the river and everything is proceeding great. Outside of the wildlife activity we were told about no signs of major intelligent life or hostile threats."

Sterling, "Good, lets proceed up river then. I want two men on each side doing standard search patterns. I will install the sensor equipment as you go."

Alpha Team member 2, "Yes, Sir"

As Sterling picked up the duffel bags of sensor equipment he quickly tapped his comm, "Sterling to Beta Team report."

Burns, "We found a nice mineral cavern behind the waterfall that contained a natural hot spring. Other than that we are proceeding along the mountain side with nothing out of the ordinary to report. Burns out"

Sterling headed to the next sensor point, dropped the duffel's and got to work.

Three hours later in the clearing...

Marine Teams Alpha and Beta had just returned to find all the equipment set up and the settlers getting things assembled and in place with the help of an engineering team. Zorran nodded toward Dawn trying not to smile; Dawn walked over to Sterling, "Report."

Sterling, "The sensor network is up and the ship has confirmed it is working better than expected. It seems some natural rock formations underground increase the sensors network capabilities. We have also
searched out 40 meters beyond the perimeters detailed search pattern and an additional 40 meters beyond that in a standard sweep pattern search. No signs of current or previous humanoid inhabitants or visitors."

Dawn, "Thank you Major Sterling. Your teams may report back to the ship and file your reports with the Captain. I will send my own report shortly. Dismissed"

Sterling turned and rejoined his teams then requested beam out. As the Marines dematerialized Dawn and Zorran started to walk around and survey the settlers progress.

"A Message Home"
Stardate 50408.15.0200

It had been three years since any contact had been made with the Mystic.  Anton had gotten what information he needed and picked up a few toys along the way.  He was ready to come home and give his report.  The only one that would ever see his report would be Tekon.  The information he had found was more important and more dangerous than anyone had expected. Only the captain could know about it.

All alone he sat now on a strange almost Romulan looking bridge, a few years older and stronger than he was before.  There had been a lot of bloodshed during his mission and certainly a love that he would not forget, Anton was more human now.  The borg in him had lost any influence on him and now where nothing more that tools to his mind.  Anton pulled the D'K'tagh from it's sheath and sliced open his arm.  He felt no pain as he dug the device out to activated it. It had a slight ding in it from a fight he had been in but seemed to work fine as iIt sent a signal that would hopefully bring the mystic.

"Just wait till they see what I have now."  Anton knew everyone would be surprised by his new equipment and Shadow Ops definitely would have there own style now.  There was a new force to be started within the confines of that little ship, the Mystic.  A leading Special Operations task Force was going to be created that would be able to take on any and all enemies no matter where or when they are.  There was work to be done first though.

Anton sat back and waited for any kind of word from the Mystic.  Dawn was going to be so happy, but Anton knew that nothing would ever be able to make up for who he had lost.

"Under Way"
Stardate:50408.19.1515

Sharek was on the bridge awaiting
Sterling's arrival from Liberi 5. Even though Dawn and Zorran had already updated him via comm he still wanted everyone to check in.

Sterling arrived out of the turbolift in his dirty uniform having not changed after his teams nature romp down on the surface. He walked over to Sharek and came to attention, "Major William Sterling reporting in as ordered sir. Our mission was a success and the settlers are underway in setting up, sir."

"Good job. Go get cleaned up and..." Tekon began to say but was interrupted by the officer at ops.

Ops officer, "Sir, I am receiving a signal from temporal transponder 4592. It's Tobias sir. We will need to depart soon and retrieve him."

Tekon, "Acknowledged, " Tekon activated his comm. implant, "All hands prepare for temporal incursion once we clear the Liberi Zone."

Dawn popped in jumping around, "My Anton is coming home!!!!"

Tekon, "Yes, but try to keep the emotional welcome down. We don't know how long it has been for him or what he has been thru, you'll need to give him some space."

Dawn a little disappointed, "Oh all right. Also the settlers have finished setting up and security is returning to the ship. I'll be returning the mobile emitter momentarily."

Tekon, "Good, keep up the good work Dawn. Anton will be proud of your development."

     Dawn disappeared leaving
Sterling and Tekon standing there. Sterling was about to speak when the comm system came to life for the bridge.

"This is Terminal X Captain, Dawn has returned the mobile emitter. All crew is accounted for and all gear is being locked down. Any further orders?" Terminal said in a proud yet arrogantly superior manner.

Tekon, "Make sure all shuttlecraft is stored away and that the engineering teams and gear is ready. Anton will hopefully have a craft of some type and I want it taken apart, put back together, and studied in every way possible. Afterwards I'll need reports on possible upgrades for other shuttlecraft and the ship."

Terminal X in a tiresome voice, "Yes Captain my Captain."

Sterling once again began to speak when Mysty popped in. "Hey Teky, I mean Captain, I think I should receive upgrades before any shuttlecraft do."

Tekon, "Yes but if there are too many upgrades we will need a spacedock or shipyard to get moving quickly enough."

Mysty, "Well we do have all the sensor logs from the 26th century timeship USS Grant - D that collided with the sun. We could always return and report to their starfleet , get repairs as if we plan to stay, then run. We may even pick up some crew that way."

Tekon, "I love the way your mind work hon. I'll see what I can do. We will also have a mission in the late 24th century involving myself and Zorran soon."

Mysty, "Okay I'll be good meanwhile," and disappeared.

     Finally
Sterling spoke quickly before there could be any interruptions. "Sir, if there isn't anything else sir I need to get cleaned up and make sure the next Marine VS Shadow Ops poker tournament is set up."

     Tekon laughed, "Fine go ahead."

As Sterling began to walk away a Dawn hologram appeared beside Sterling and walked away with him. Once they left the bridge Tekon reclined back in the chair and breathed a sigh then spoke. "Conn, go to
maximum transwarp and have engineering prepare to initiate temporal fold."

After the Mystic cleared the area where the anomaly would be in the future they opened a timerift and went thru. Their destination was the 28th century to pick up a lost crewman named Anthony Damien Tobias.

"Losing Hope"

Stardate50408.23.0500

Anton was losing hope in ever receiving contact from the Mystic.  It hade been days since he sent out the signal.  A million possibilities ran through his mind.  Had it been possible that the beacon failed.  Had it been possible that the Temporal Borg had destroyed the Mystic and all of it's crew.  Anton was unsure of what to do next.  Piloting back to a nearby port was looking like a good option, he felt alone now.  There was no word from the Mystic and Anton was getting tired of sitting and waiting.  The painful realization that he could be completely alone now was setting in.  All the friends he had made in this time were dead and he was a wanted man by most of the superpowers.  It was a risk to try and go back to a port, knowing that at any time, he could be attacked.

"Where are you Mysty?  Did you not hear my call?"  Anton tried to think of any way he could try and signal the mystic again.  The beacon was sitting on the table next to him.  Anton picked it up and wired it into the ship.  He was going to boost the signal as much as he could. The engines fired up and all available power was being redirected into resending the signal.  After a few short moments, he was ready.  A few buttons and the signal was sent out.  Overlooking the risks, the beacon blew up after the signal was sent, other components were also destroyed.

"In any case, at least I have something to do while I wait."  Anton sat for a moment before getting to work on the repairs.  He had not recharged in many hours and he could feel the nanites starting to slow.  Anton set the ship to auto-pilot and headed for his quarters. Anton looked out a small window into the desolate space that laid before him, "Dawn, where are you now when I need you the most."  Anton shook his head and sighed coming away from the window.  He stepped into his cove and started to fall into his form of sleep, he knew that the nightmares would start shortly.

Sharek Tekon was sitting on the bridge, the ship was about to initiate a  temporal fold to take them as close to the beacons activation date as they could without passing it when he realized what was missing. He activated him comm implant, "Captain Tekon to Commander Zorran please report to the bridge immediately."

Ariss swore.  "Computer...pause program," she said.  A Cardassian stopped just as he was about to bring a sword down on her head.  Ariss smirked at the paused figure then activated her comms.  "On my way Captain," she said and stepped away from the Cardassian.  "Computer, end program."  Her surroundings faded until she was standing in the bare holodeck.  Ariss sighed and stepped out of the holodeck.

Tekon waited on the bridge and relaxed as the Ops officer spoke, "Sir, Engineering reports that they are ready in the shuttlebay and all engines are ready to go, all systems are in full working order, and the signal from Tobias' was just sent again at a much higher volume so we were able to get a better reading to meet up with him."

Tekon, "Good, now all I need is my XO."

Ariss stepped onto the bridge.  "You requested my presence, Sir?" she asked, tensely.  Adrenaline still pumped through her veins from the holodeck program.

     Tekon, "Yes,
Conn has a course laid in and a temporal destination set, the 28th century. I want you to take us to our destination under whatever speed you feel is needed and then locate our crewman Lt Anthony Damien Tobias, he is a former Borg and we do not know what ship,  shuttle, or planet  he is on. I will sit here and watch unless needed."

Ariss nodded and stepped around to the XO's chair.  She stood in front of it, hands clasped behind her back, in typical Marine fashion.  She was silent for a full five minutes, deep in thought.  "Conn," she spoke suddenly into the silence, making the officer jump.  "Set speed of warp 8, we want to get there quickly, but we must be wary."  She turned her head slightly.  "Ops, scan for any ships with Borg technology as soon as we reach the 28th century. Tobias is Borg, therefore he should show up on scans." The Ops officer nodded.  She turned now to Tactical.  "I want all weapons to be ready..but not active..they must be able to be powered up and ready to fire as soon as they are needed.  That is if they are needed." Tactical nodded also.  Ariss looked to Tekon.

Tekon nodded to Zorran and smiled as he waved a hand toward the bridge front, "The ship is yours to command, you’re doing fine so far."

Ariss sat in the XO's chair.  "
Conn...engage warp.  Lets get underway."

Tekon, "Just remember we need to engage temporal engines sometime before we reach Anton. My arm display reads that we will reach him in 3 hours at this speed. If we increase to Transwarp 2 we will arrive in 15
minutes."

Ariss nodded.  "I understand that, but 15 minutes does not give me the time to come up with a plan of action if there are enemies on the other side.  I am a Marine, I can come up with plans on a whim, but I
prefer to take extra time for this mission."

Tekon clapped lightly, "Good thinking, your right. We are a 25th century timeship going to the 28th century there could be anything between here and there. Good thinking, just remember I may test you
like this from time to time to keep you on your toes."

Ariss turned her head to look at him, a slight grin playing on her lips.  "I am a Marine, as I just said, I'm always on my toes."  She took up a PADD and began to tap at it, silent once more.

Sharek, "Well then Marine, how about we make your rank show it. I Captain Sharek Tekon herby transfer your rank status from Navy to Marine. You will stay first officer but the Marines and their CO will report directly to you in all matters before I need to be involved. Your new rank is herby, Lieutenant Colonel."

The PADD almost clattered to the floor and she turned her head to stare at the Captain.  She quickly hid her surprise and inclined her head.  "Thank you Captain.  It is truly an honor." She stood and came to attention, saluting him.

Tekon, "Sit down please. It came to my attention these past two weeks that without a Marine CO, Major Sterling is the next best thing. This way with you as a Marine officer as well as XO you can command the
Marines while we are lacking a CO. I will still be holding you to your XO duties as well. Now if you are ready lets engage Temporal engines and get back to the task at hand."

Ariss inclined her head and sat down.  Activating her own arm display, she took it upon herself to engage the engines. She tapped a few keys, bringing up the time co-ordinates. "Engaging Temporal engines in 3..2..1..mark." She tapped a key.  "Temporal engines engaged."

Tekon, "Good, now we should phase-cloak, then sit back and wait. If something happens that warrants our attention we'll handle it otherwise we should avoid contact with any ships from this era other that Anton's."

Ariss kept her eyes on the display.  "Tactical, activate the phase cloak," she ordered.

"Aye Ma'am," came to immediate answer.

Tekon, "I hope this new found spark in you signifies that you are prepared to be a productive officer once more. I was starting to worry that you were going to keep insisting that I made a mistake and
that you shouldn't be in a command position."

"I was worried for the welfare of this ship, Captain.  I was in no fit state to be in a command position at the time you gave it to me.  But now...I have overcome my problem," she answered him.

Tekon, "Good, now lets go get our crewmember. If you wish to return to what you were doing feel free I can have you notified if something comes up. We have time."

Ariss shook her head.  "No, I will remain here.  I started this mission, I will see that it is finished.  Besides, I was only on the holodeck. Programs can be restarted."

The USS Mystic had been in the year 2767 for a little under three hours now and were approaching the area where Anton should be. The Mystic detected a strange ship with one living person on board giving a 88
percent probability that it was Anton. On the bridge of the Mystic Zorran stood up from her chair. "Tactical, drop phase cloak and open a comm channel with the ship in front of us."

Tactical, "Done sir." The Mystic appeared next to the ship as if by magic.

Zorran, "This is Lt Colonel Ariss Zorran to the ship we are facing, please identify yourself."

Anton jumped up from his chair to find the Mystic floating next to him.  The sound of Zorran's voice was an odd thing to hear after all these years.  Anton fired up all the systems and put his ship the Fey'ri right in front of the Mystic.  With all systems running, Anton put the ship's wings into an attacking formation and hailed the Mystic back.  "How do you like my hunter,?"

Tekon smiled and spoke up finally, "Anton it's good to see you and that ship is most welcome. It may have been years for you but its only been a few weeks for us."

Anton, "My ship?  You're not gutting it like you do everything else."  Anton raised the sheilds.  "So how have things been?"

Tekon, "The point of gaining new technology from this time period is to study it and determine how to integrate it into the Mystic and its shuttles. Besides it will be put back together and left exactly how we found it. Now please, drop your shield, we'll open the shuttlebay, and we can discuss the success of your mission. Besides, there is someone on the ship dying to see you again."

Anton, "Wait a minute now.  Back to gutting my ship. Unless you can have it back together before I need it again, it's not gonna happen.  Plus, you're gonna screw up all my settings. It took me hours to get them just right."

Tekon, "I'll have Dawn memorize the settings and layout before engineering gets to it that way she can supervise it being put back together. I also have multiple engineering teams standing by in the
shuttlebay so we can begin immediately and get this over as quickly as possible. Once its deconstruction is scanned and recorded by Mysty and engineering scans all the parts into the engineering computers it can be put back together."

Anton, "Let me think about it....fine."  Anton lowered the sheilds and piloted the ship into the shuttlebay.  He exited the Fey'ri and watched the engineering teams pounce on his baby. "Don't hurt her."  Anton turned and waited for the welcoming party.

Tekon, "Mysty beam me directly to engineering. Zorran you have the bridge while I'm gone." Milliseconds later Tekon materialized in the shuttlebay in front of Anton. "Ah Lt Tobias good to have you back, Shadow Ops is getting creamed in the last couple poker games they'll be happy to have you back to coach them."

Anton, "It's good to be back.  And I know that they haven't lost a tourney yet.  So how long has it been and when is it expected for Dawn to maul me?"

As if on cue Dawn appeared behind Anton and covered his eyes.

Anton pulled Dawn's hands away from his eyes.  He turned and gave her a look of indifference.  Anton turned back to address the captain. "My report has been classified by myself as being for your eyes only. It is all contained on this padd and must not be loaded onto the ship.  The information would cause 'problems' for the ship.  I will explain later."  Anton handed the captain a small device.

Dawn looked down with a look of sadness on her face.  She was expecting a warm welcome form her lost soldier, but instead it had seemed that the time gone had made him distant from her.

Tekon took the small data padd and held it close to his side. "I'll have to read this next chance I get to go out in a shuttle or off the ship. Thanks you for your report. It has only been two weeks since you left. Ael is 3 1/2 months pregnant and we plan on doing the wedding very soon."

Anton, "So, big deal, she's pregnant and your getting married.  That is supposed to affect me how?" Anton crossed his arms and grinned.

Tekon, "You cared before you left considering you made the wedding clothing. I'm sure you remember where your quarters are, take a day or two to rest and get reacquainted with the ship and your duties as a
Starfleet officer. Oh and here take this box it contains an insignia for Major I am giving you a dual rank like myself and reinstating your old Marine rank"

Anton chuckled, "Thank you Sir, but this Starfleet officer thing isn't going to last."  Anton took the box turned and left to grab his weapons out of his ship before heading for his room.  "If you need me you know where to find me."

Tekon watched Anton leave and couldn't help but hope that the effects of living in the 28th century wouldn't hurt his dedication and service to this ship. Tekon turned his attention to the new ship being quickly dismantled then left for his ready room.

It had been quiet since Anton had gotten back and Dawn grew worried of what had happened to him to make him the way he is now.  He had brushed her off like she was nothing to him anymore.  It had been some time since they were together for him and perhaps he had forgotten her.  She had to go find out.  Dawn went to Anton's room to find no answer at the door; she knew he was in there though.  Dawn opened the door to find Anton in his alcove.

The alcove itself was done recharging him, but Anton still stood there motionless.  Dawn went to the alcove and tried to revive him with no success.  She lifted him from the alcove and placed him in a nearby
chair.  He sat there lifeless.  Dawn was crying when she called for help.  She just hoped that her only love would be alright.

Sharek was on his way to Holosuite 1 on deck six when Dawn appeared in front of him.

Dawn, "Sharek, there's something wrong with Anton."

Sharek, "I'm on my way Dawn" he activated his comm implant. "I need a two man medical team to deck 4, Lt Tobias quarters immediately." Sharek quickly ran to the turbolift and headed for Anton's quarters.
Moments later he arrived to find dawn had left the door open. "A medical unit is en route, what happened?"

Dawn was shaking as the holographic tears streamed down her face, "I don't know.  I found him in the alcove, but he was lifeless. He's still alive; it's just he's not there.  I don't know what to do."  Dawn broke down to crying again.  She laid her head on Anton's lap. She looked up to Sharek, "Help him, please."

The medical unit arrived and immediately began to scan Anton and give the standard medical injections given during or before most emergency cases. The medical officer looked at the Captain, "Physically
he's in perfect health for a former Borg of his age. Mentally though he's locked in his own mind with no connection to his body. If you want we can move him to sickbay and monitor him there, otherwise someone just needs to give him the daily injections one would give a coma patient and prop him up in his alcove from time to time."

Sharek, "I'll handle that later dismissed." And with that the medical team left.

Dawn stood up, "Is there anything I can do for him?"

Tekon, "I have an idea, "Tekon activated his comm. implant "Terminal X, is the Borg implant at the base of my brain developed enough to interface with Anton's implants?"

Terminal X, "Yes, but what you are suggesting is extremely difficult and may I add extremely dangerous to you. If your implants are activated to far we may not be able to suppress them again."

Sharek, "Dawn, I need you to create a complete black out of this room and isolate it and yourself from Mysty. Also I will need you to monitor both my vitals and Antons. Unless death is immanent keep medical out of it. There should be a medkit near the alcove."

Dawn, "Roger Captain."  Dawn flashed for a moment.  "Okay, done.  That took a lot.  Mysty needs to learn that she can't stop me from hacking her firewalls when I helped fix her.  I have complete control of everything in this room now."

Terminal, "I am stimulating your cranial implants Captain allowing them to override the dormancy drug. In a second you will need only concentrate on the link I create between you, myself, and Anton in order to reach his mind."

Tekon, felt the pull as him and Terminal became almost one, soon after he saw the door leading to Anton's mind, and stepped thru...

Sharek found himself standing in front of a vast complex.  It was reminiscent of
Alcatraz.  There was no sound except for the wind blowing and the waves crashing on the shores behind him.  This desolate
place was not all that it seemed.  Sharek was going to have to find Anton in his mind to discover why he was lost from reality.

Sharek looked down at his body, he still appeared to be wearing his Temporal Starfleet Uniform from the 25th century but his body and face showed temporal Borg implants making him look almost half Borg. Apparently the implant link was going to manifest itself in the dream world. This would make things more difficult but also helpful. Tekon eyed up the main complex and began walking toward it. The temporary eyepiece he had seemed to only have a scanning range of 20 feet for life signs which meant he would have to practically be right on Anton's location to find him. Sharek found no sign of any life forms when scanning neither did he see anything that appeared to be as such.  All that lay before him was the only gate to the complex.

Sharek walked up to the gate and inspected it scanning the gate, the ground, and the nearby land with the scanner in his arm. Anton's mind could have anything hidden as a surprise or even have clues left behind as to where to start looking. Again the captain found nothing.  Everything appeared to be as normal and as real as everyday life. In the distance, he could see a light from a doorway. Sharek slowly walked to the doorway keeping ready for anything. As he reached the door he checked once again for anything ready to open the door as long as there was nothing.

A course sound of rusted metal came from behind Sharek.  The gate had closed by its own means.  There was no turning back now, only to move forward. Sharek, gripped the handle of the door in front of him and opened it slowly. As he stepped inside he examined the room and slowly moved through it. The room was barley lit from the florescent lights above him.  The room was nothing but gray concrete. The only thing that was different in the room was a single table sitting in the middle.  A small piece of paper sat on the table.

Sharek walked to the table and picked up the paper. With it in his hands he began to read it wondering what may lie ahead. Sharek read the paper on the table and a blinding light flashed.  When he could see again, the table was gone and all that stood in the room was a large green creature.

Sharek looked at the creature as the implant analyzed its genetic structure and tried to identify its race and/or origin. Tekon spoke allowing the Borg implants to translate his words to every language known to the temporal Borg. "I am Sharek Tekon, I am looking for Anthony Tobias."

The creature stood there and looked at Sharek for a moment.

Sharek realized it either didn't understand him or was waiting to see if he was hostile so he did the only thing he could think of he dropped to one knee and looked at the ground the way primitive  creatures displayed nonhostility when verbal communication did not exist in a creature.

The creature stepped forward and bashed Sharek on the head, effectively knocking him out.  Sharek woke up in a cell.

A cloaked figure came to the cell and unlocked it.  He carried what looked to be some primitive version of a projectile weapon.  "The master wishes to see you.  Will you comply peacefully or not?"

As Sharek stood up he rubbed his head where he was hit. "Of course I'll come peacefully. I haven't shown any damn hostility the entire time I've been here."

The figure pointed the weapon at Tekon and fired. A dart pierced Sharek's chest. "That seemed like a sign of hostility."  Sharek passed out and woke up in another dark room. There were no lights and nothing seemed to be in the room.

Tekon sat with his legs crossed, closed his eyes, and let his implants scan the room. They were scanning nearly 50 feet now, and his appearance was looking more borg like. He was nearly half way to being a temporal Borg in his mind. If the implants overtake his mind it would only be a matter of time before his body became Temporal Borg and started assimilating and killing the crew. Sharek whispered to the darkness, "Not much time now before everyone dies in the real world"

A bright light flashed and the wall in front of him opened.  The bright light drowned out the figure standing there.  A thundering voice that echoed in the room sounded, "Who are you and why have you come here?"

"I am Captain Sharek Tekon and I am here to find Lt Anthony Tobias a member of my crew. If I am delayed any longer the implants covering my body will take over and this world will end as its creator becomes
like me." Tekon stood up in one fluid motion as he finished. He felt his left arm. It was starting to turn machine one of the last things that would form of his implants would be the workings of the chroniton
phaser in his arm though from the feel of it there was still nearly an hour till that would happen.

The figure spoke, "Well then if it is your crew you think of then go.  The one you seek will return once you send her in."  The bright light flashed once more and Sharek woke up back on the ship.

     Dawn, "What happenend?"

Tekon, "He wants you to enter his mind, Terminal should be able to give you access right after he makes my implants dormant."

Dawn, "Yes sir.  I will try."

Terminal X, "Captain your implants are dormant but their size is increased by 9%. You need rest, I am ready to apply access to Anton for Dawn. Dawn you may enter when ready. Though remember while you are inside him I am forced to sever you ties with the ship. You will be reconnected when you exit, are disconnected, and found unaltered."

Tekon, "Well then let’s finish this, Go ahead Dawn."

Dawn nodded and then flashed and disappeared. She had entered his mind and had no ties to the outside world.  She went forward to try and save her love.

It had been nearly a month now and Sharek was lounging back in the captain's chair sound asleep. Mysty appeared next to Sharek, "I'm so sorry it had to be this way. I only wish things could have been different." As she stood there watching him she saw his body give off signs of dreaming.

::Sharek / Ael's Quarters::

Sharek and Ael sit on the couch together. Sharek has his head in his hands and Ael is trying to comfort him. Sharek, "Its been nearly 24 hours and Anton is still in a coma. I never should have let Dawn download inside his mind."

Ael, "Don't worry, I'm sure everything will be fine, Anton didn't survive the 28th century to slip away now."

Silence filled the room for several minutes before Sharek spoke, "Zorran has informed me that the preparations for our wedding are all set. I know we wanted Anton and Dawn there but we can't afford to delay with you showing."

Ael, "Fine we planned on holorecording the whole thing anyway at least we can have him watch it with us." As she finished Sharek looked up and the two locked into a gently embrace kissing their way to the floor...

Present:: Bridge

As Mysty watched over Sharek Sterling walked onto the empty bridge, "Mysty, how long are we going to stay in orbit of Liberi 5. I don't even understand why we came back here one week after we left."

Mysty, "I know the Captain's been keeping everyone in the dark. Trust me he'll let you know wh.."but she was cut off.

Sterling, "I'm tired of waiting; if we don't get his ass in gear we'll never accomplish anything. The crew is almost ready to mutiny."

Mysty looked at Sterling and began yelling, "You want to know why he forbade anyone from coming to the bridge and flew us back here? He came back here to send his wife and unborn children to the planet below. That’s why all those supplies being beamed down were."

Sterling looked down at the Captain speechless as the Captain continued to dream.

Sharek and Ael lay on a blanket holding each other. Ael, "Sharek my love, my husband. What's wrong? You haven't been the same since Anton got locked in his mind."

Sharek, "It... it's nothing. I just feel I let my emotions cause me to trade something I took for granted for the chance to save Anton."

Ael, "Well stop worrying about it for now. If you want I'll give you something to calm you down tomorrow. Besides I'm supposed to do your medical scan tomorrow to make sure the temporal nanites are ok since our last mission."

Sharek blocks his emotions not wanting her to realize he is trying to hide the increase in the temporal Borg implant sizes now in him. If only he hadn't risked everything to save one crewman he wouldn't have Terminal hiding and altering files and information from Mysty and Ael.

"Honey, I'm fine lets just enjoy the last of our time off. Zorran is taking care of everything till we return to work tomorrow so no more talk about medscans," as Sharek finished he kissed her deeply hoping she wouldn't bring it up again...

As Mysty and Sterling stood beside the Captain the intercom chirped.

"Mysty, this is Terminal X, how many times do I have to apologize. The Captain ordered me to lie to you. I had no choice. Had I know what would have happened with Ael I would have told you long before." Terminal said in a apologetic voice.

Mysty trying to stay calm spoke with sorrow in her voice, "I know you were ordered to lie. It just hurts me to know he thought he couldn't trust me when it came to his condition. Besides I feel responsible for him going over the edge."

Sterling chimed in as he headed to the turbolift and got in, "If anything changes make sure I'm informed Mysty. I'm going to the battle bridge to let Zorran know nothing has changed yet."

::Sickbay

Sharek remembered falling asleep in bed with Ael but know found himself strapped to a table in sickbay staring up at his wife. "Ael, sweetie why do you look mad, your over reacting. If you wanted me to get my medscan you just had to say so." Sharek lied knowing she now knew the truth.

Ael screamed at him, "Why didn't you tell me your implant size had increased. Did terminal have anything to do with this. If he did so help me I'll destroy every in.."

Before she could finish Mysty popped in cutting her off. Mysty looked pissed off and let it show in her voice. "Terminal just sent me files dealing with Sharek having an implant activated to trying to save Anton. It seems Terminal linked all three of them together while Dawn blinded my internal sensors."

Ael started to cry as she tried to speak, "I... I just want to know... why didn't you tell me. Even after we were married you never said anything. I thought you trusted me."

Sharek was beginning to get angry, angry at Ael for not letting the issue of a medscan go, mad at Terminal for caving into Mysty and spilling the truth, and mad at Mysty for telling Ael instead of talking to him first. Sharek stressed the straps and before Mysty's sensors registered the event Sharek snapped the strap on his wrist and sat up quickly undoing his feet while Mysty repositioned behind him.

Mysty, "You shouldn't have done that Sharek now
Ill have to..." but Mysty was cut off.

Sharek spoke with a speed almost inhuman, "Computer Emergency override Omega Epsilon Delta 14659 deactivate advanced A.I. reactivate in six days." With that Mysty went offline and Ael backed up as Sharek hopped off the table and approached her.

Ael now scarred spoke, "I'm sorry I strapped you down hun. I realize the implants are dormant and still insignificant but I was just concerned."

Sharek spoke with anger in his voicee, "That doesn't matter now, cause I'm going to make sure you don't have to worry about me turning ever again. I'm going to send you and our unborn children someplace were they can be raised safely without either of us having to worry about anything the Mystic encounters.'

Ael, "Wh.. what are you going to do?"

Sharek activated his comm implant, "Sharek to Terminal X, beam my wife directly to the brig and begin gathered the items on the file I gave you in case I was about to turn."

Terminal, "Yes sir, the equipment and items will be ready to be sent down to whatever planet you take us to sir." Terminal didn't agree with the Captain but the explosives attached to him that made him loyal ensured that he always tried to help.

As Ael dematerialized Sharek headed to the bridge to take the ship back in time and put it on course for Liberi 5.

-----------------------------
Present:: Bridge

Mysty remained vigil as she stood beside Sharek. Her talk with him when she came back online worked out alot of things, but she was never able to change his mind about Ael.

Terminal, "I'm almost finished with the last of the systems diagnostics so I'm going to tinker with some new modification designs the engineering staff entered after they finished putting Anton's ship back together."

Mysty didn't respond she just stood there waiting. Waiting for the Captain to realize his mistake and bring Ael back, waiting for Anton to wake up so him and Dawn could reason with Sharek, waiting for a decision she knew he would never make. She knew because she understood why he did it now. He knew that in order to protect her from the Temporal Borg growing inside him he had to do the one thing he never wanted to... leave Ael behind till he felt it was safe again for her to return, if that day would ever come...

Duty Post, "Hell Hath No Fury"

"I have a headache," Ariss muttered as she limped from her quarters.  She cracked her neck, she must have slept the wrong way in the battle bridges uncomfortable command chair. She made a brief stop at the sickbay to get something for headache before going to her office.  She had supply lists to go over.  While she worked, her mind wandered over the events of the past few weeks.  They'd gone from bad to worse.  As far as she could tell, the exborg Anton, wasn’t going to wake up any time soon, the Captain had lost the plot and kicked everyone, including Ariss off the bridge.  Realizing it would be useless to argue with Sharek at the time, she'd left the bridge to let him have some 'quiet time'.  It had been 12 days so far, she'd been holding onto the hope that he'd come to his senses, but now she was starting to lose that hope.

She was sipping a cup of tea when there was a chime at her door.  "Enter," she said and stood up. "Major Sterling," she said and returned the salute the man gave her.  "At ease, Major.  I hope you bring me good news," she said with a smile.

The Major shook his head.  "No, Ma'am, I'm afraid I dont," he said. "The Captain is fast asleep on the bridge even as we speak, and we are now orbiting Liberi 5."

Ariss put down her cup with more than a bit of force. "Right..This has gone on long enough.  Major Sterling, have your men ready. I want 2 at the bridge doors.  I'm going to have a conversation with our Captain."

"Yes, Ma'am," he said and snapped to attention with another salute before turning on his kneel and exiting the XO's quarters.

Ariss wiped the hot tea from her hand and stalked after him.  She made her way to the bridge, scowling so fiercely that no-one approached her.  As she entered the bridge she pointed a finger at Mysty.  Even the ship's AI knew not to say anything.  She mimed zipping her lip and gave a shy smile.  Ariss leveled her with a 'look' but said nothing.  Instead she turned her attention to the captain.  She stretched her mind out to his and found him dreaming of his wife. "Sharek," she said quietly.  "You are a fool...a fool to love someone as much as you do."

Zorran cracked her neck once more took a breath. "Captain, wake up.  I have words I wish to have with you." she said.  Sharek gave a jerk and mumbled but didn’t appear to wake.  She eyed him a moment and then went into 'marine-mode'.  She gave him a slap on the cheek, gentle compared to wait she could have done, and raised her voice.  "On your feet soldier! Right now!"

Sharek jumped up and snapped to attention, it was only then that he realize what was going on. "Zorran what the hell do you think your doing. I left orders for no one to come to the bridge and for myself to remain undisturbed."

Ariss didnt even bat at eyelid at him.  "Your orders were stupid.  You are putting the crew in danger and I will not allow it any longer.  If you don’t stop this immediately I will be forced to take command of this ship from you."  It made her feel sick to say it, but she refused to let this go on.

Sharek was enraged but quickly tried to hide his feelings to no success as he began to speak harshly, "I brought us here so Ael could spend her pregnancy on the surface and be safe from the Temporal Borg. As for my orders for staying off the bridge, they were mostly personal, I..." it never dawned on Sharek that his last orders were selfish till now, he tried not to give up his stance though as he lowered his voice and continued, "I wanted to make sure everything proceeded perfectly and ended up needing some alone time once Ael was gone... I've been alone and without senior officers for so long I wasn't sure if anyone would understand my reasoning for sending her away."

Ariss crossed her arms over her chest, looking every bit of the marine she used to be.  "It's about time you start remembering that you have them," she said, calmly, but it only showed how angry she was. She leant forward slightly.  "These Temporal Borg can be everywhere, what’s to stop them from coming here? Ael would be so much safer here, where you can personally protect her." She softened her voice slightly.  She knew how he was feeling.  She had loved someone so much that she wished she could have protected him, but she couldn’t.  Granted he had been her mentor, not her spouse, but the feeling was still the same.

Sharek started to pace back and forth, "I realize that, which is why I had Terminal send some computer units, additional sensor equipment, and a Temporal Beacon modified with a chip design from 28th century to allow us to receive it the moment something happens. I also sent the colony an assortment of bladed weapons and firearms from our armory. If anything happens well come back to the instant the beacon was activated and take care of the problem. If she was aboard... I'm too afraid my own... condition... could affect my judgement and cause me to do something I could never fix."

Ariss' eyes narrowed. "Your condition, Sharek?" She kept her arms crossed, but shifted into a slightly better stance so she could be ready for anything.  "Is there something you forgot to tell me?"

Sharek's voice lowered," Mysty, Isolate the Bridge.
Sterling, please take your marines and either wait in the Turbolift or my Ready Room."

Sterling, "Yes, Sir. Mysty notify me the second we can reenter."

Mysty, "Gee I'm popular all of a sudden."

As everyone left the room door locks could be heard. It was only then that Sharek spoke in a normal tone, "Zorran, In our last fight with the Temporal Borg I was infected with Temporal Borg Nanites. Our Chief Medical Officer at the time tried to remove them but failed, they adapted. He managed to produce a serum to make them dormant and keep them from multiplying, too late for himself though as he turned and I was forced to vaporize him. Since then they managed to grow when we had the virus on board but Ael managed to get most of them out and get me back on the drug. Recently though I had Terminal X activate the central node that was developing so I could link with Anton and try to wake him from his Coma. I failed and only caused the implants to get worse. I'm on the drug still and the implants have no control over me despite my emotional state but you can now see why Ael is safer on the planet."

Ariss' mismatched colored eyes narrowed even more, but she remained silent for what seemed like forever. Then... Her phaser was held to his temple before Sharek even realized she moved.  Her leg might have left her out of shape, but she was still damn quick and this just proved it.  "You have WHAT...Why in the hell didn’t you tell me!  You son-of..." she trailed off with a growl and slapped him with full force. She spun away from him.  "By the gods, Sharek....I thought I was meant to be your XO.  I thought you trusted me...I guess you don’t, though."  She turned to face him, lips pressed together.  She reached up and removed her insignia, throwing it on the deck in front of him. "I quit," she said softly.

Sharek quickly grabbed the insignia as he spoke, "Zorran I never even told Ael, she found out during a medscan while I was unconscious... I was afraid..." Sharek's voice started to show fright in it, "I was afraid that if the crew found out I would lose control. Your reaction just proves my point. Anton found out because Terminal has a big mouth, and I kept wanting to tell you but... I was so glad to have an XO again, that and I wanted to make sure you were ready for it. In the end I kept pushing it off longer and longer as we became friends. I should have told you the day you accepted the job but I can't change that now." Sharek held out his hand with the insignia in it, "Ariss Zorran, Please, I ask you as a friend, help me lead this ship, help me find a cure, and above all else help keep me in line even when I feel I’m right."

Ariss looked at him.  "The Sharek I knew from my timeline would have told me as soon as it happened.  He would have trusted me enough to confide such a matter with me.  I regret that the Sharek in front of me does not have that same trust." She stepped up to him, so close that there was barely a gap between them.  "Two conditions...One, you will tell me everything that I need to know. Two, you will bring Ael back onboard and I promise I will protect her if you can't.  I will even protect her from you if it comes to it," her voice was barely above a whisper by the end.

Sharek looked her straight in the eye as he spoke unflinching, "I will make sure you know everything you need to. As for Ael I'll bring her back aboard if thats your wish but I ask you wait until after..." Sharek raised his hands toward Zorran's temples, "With your permission I will do a mind meld once our minds are one you can see exactly how it happened and ask to see any event or information I know. While joined I
will be able to see your memories or your Sharek first hand as you  watch mine. Will you give me permission to perform the Meld."

    Ariss nodded but said nothing.

Sharek placed his hands in the proper position and pressed gently then began to speak, "My mind to your mind. My thoughts to your thoughts. Our minds are one." As he finished They were both in a different location on the Mystic. The ship was in shambles with debris and missing walls everywhere, dead bodies littered the floor and power seemed to be minimal if at all as it flickered wildly. "I have taken you back to the Temporal Borg attack, I am about to come around the corner with my First officer a Betazed by the Name of William Tralis."

Before Zorran could speak three Temporal Borg materialized next to them, one walked over to a turbolift and opened it. Soon after two of the Borg entered taking the ladder in two different directions. Seconds later a battered Sharek Tekon in a dirty, bloody, shredded uniform came around the corner Bat'leth in hand with a human looking man 5'9" with Black hair and Blue eyes. The second man carried a D'K'tagh knife and a Mek'leth.

Memory Sharek, "Will, that one doesn't have the chroniton phaser it must be a suicide drone."

Will watched the drone spin around and prepare to run toward them. As the Drone took his first step Will ran down the hall and sank the klingon knife in the drones visual node. As it paused briefly Sharek sprang down the hall and sliced off the drones left arm. Before either man could react the chest cavity doubled in size and a yellowish glow began to leak out.

Will took the drone in a head lock swept its feet out and started to drag it to the open turbolift shaft. As the drone grabbed Will's leg in a vice grip Sharek realized what will was about to do.

Will was almost in tears, "Destroy them and get the crew home Sharek." As the bomb in the Borgs chest began chirping electronically Will fell backwards into the turbolift shaft. As the bomb exploded the shaft collapsed and the shock wave threw Sharek back knocking him unconscious.

The scene around them shifted to that of a heavily damaged and barely functioning sickbay

When the Sharek before them awoke he was on a biobed in sickbay with the Borg arm he cut from the suicide drone cleched onto his leg its tendrils conected with his bare skin.

A human male with salt and pepper hair in a Blue uniform looking not much better than Sharek's walked over to him "Sharek we don't have much time were both infected I have been working on a way to stop them but only managed to create enough serum to help one of us. All the directions on making and injecting yourself with it are in the computer. The serum will only make them dormant; you'll have to find another way to remove them I can't they keep activating when I get the concentration to low."

Memory Sharek, "I've lost too many firends today give it to yourself your obviously further along then me. That will give you time to make more. "

Man, "It's too late I gave you the serum shortly before you woke up. Besides I'm...' Suddenly Borg Implants began to riddle the man's skin and a phaser emerged from the man's arm, "Resistance is Futile all will belong to the Borg once more."

Sharek grabbed a large hunk of bulk head near him that appeared sharp and sprang off the bed as he swung it at his Chief Medical Officer. Memory Sharek, "I'm sorry, Jeff," and as tears rolled down Sharek's face the metal sliced the man's head off. Millieconds later the body dematerialized obviously transported to a Borg vessel.

As the scene before Zorran and Sharek faded to Black Sharek turned to Zorran and spokes sadly, "Now you know how it happened and why I made it my duty to keep it a secret. I was the last Officer left and had dying friend's wishes to honor."

Ariss was pale.  Being betazoid, even only half, meant she had felt everything instead of just seeing it. She rubbed a shaking hand over her face.  "I'm sorry," she croaked  "Thank you for telling me.  I will help you find a way to destroy these nanites if you wish my help," she said.

The blackness around them faded into the form of the bridge once more and Sharek removed his hands from her temples. "I'm sorry you had to see that but it is because of those events that I sent Ael to the
surface. I am also sorry I didn't believe you about your Sharek I have seen him now with my own eyes."

Ariss shrugged and looked at the insignia in her flat palm.  "It sounded crazy, why should you have believed it," she answered as she rolled it around. "Sharek, please believe me, I would never let anything happen to Ael if I can stop it.  I have become fond of her, she has helped me with a great many things since I have been aboard."  She turned away and looked out the view screen. "She will need you during this time...it's one of the most emotional and important times for a woman, no matter what species."

Sharek, looked to the view screen that showed the Planet below. "Fine, I'll have her moved back up here but I am moving her to Assistant Medical Officer for now so she isn't inclined to work as hard as she was. Plus that way we can make sure we find someone else to take over things once she can't anymore, even if its temporary. Besides once the twins are born I'm sure she'll want to stay with them more and more."

Ariss raised an unseen eyebrow. "Twins, you say?" she said.  "Congratulations sir."  She turned back to him with a smirk.  "If I were you, I'd wear body armor before going to see your wife.  The first thing she'll probably try to do is kill you."

Sharek smiled and he jokingly said, "Maybe I shouldn't have sent the weapons down... hmmm Think I should send Sterling and Alpha team instead, that way they can disarm her and have her meet me in sickbay.
That way when she beats the crap out of me I won't have to go far."

Ariss laughed, a surprisingly happy sound for someone who was always so morose.  "
Sterling would be too terrified to do anything.  Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, sir."

Sharek watched Sterling and his men walk back onto the bridge then said, "Your right I'll give Mysty a Holoemmitter and have her come with me. She can't be harmed in case my wife tries the shoot first method... she is half romulan you know."

"Aye, that she is," Ariss replied.  She rubbed the arm that the CMO had almost broken when Ariss had been in a delirious fever from the virus that had come close to killing her.  In her delirium, she'd attacked Ael, forcing the woman to subdue her. She looked at the ships AI.  "You may talk now, Mysty," she said as she pinned her insignia back on.

Mysty spoke as she bounced around like a giddy school girl, "I knew it would be worked out, thats why I transmitted this entire argument down to her."

Sharek, "Mysty you better be joking..."

"If you were corporeal Mysty, I'd strangle you," Ariss said, shaking her head slightly. "I do hope your wife won’t be mad at me for slapping you about, sir."

Sharek, "Actually she'll probably ask you why you didn't hit me harder."

Ariss snorted as she limped towards the bridge door.  "I have work to do.  Let me know when Ael is back onboard and I'll let you guys have some quality time."

    Sharek smiled and watched
Sterling and the Marines follow Zorran to the turbolift. "Will do Ariss, will do." Sharek stated then turned to Mysty, "Have some security men prepared to bring Ael's personal effects
and the items sent specifically for her and the twins back up. Leave the weapons, computers, and everything else for the settlers to use."

Mysty, "Already using my other holograms to get things ready Teky"

Sharek sighed, "Please stop calling me that I'm not 12 anymore"

Mnheia t’Llaiir

USS Phoenix

Star Date 50511.05700 (Mid 25th century)

‘An Abrupt Arrival’

As Mnheia sat in the shuttle that was taking her to the Phoenix she was looking out of the window and looking at the stars. She heaved a sigh of boredom and walked up to the ensign that was piloting the shuttle.

“When are we going to be at the Phoenix? I am anxious, “ said Mnheia.

“We should arrive in approximately 35 minuets, mam.”

“Is there nothing you can do to speed things up a bit? So we arrive in 15 minuets and not 35?”

“Well, mam, there is a wormhole up ahead. I am told it is unstable however I have never heard of it destablizing before.”

“Take it. I am sure that it will remain stable for the brief time we are in it. And wormholes do cut down on travel time quite a bit,” replied Mnheia.

“Yes mam, right away mam,” returned the ensign. Mnheia returned to her seat and made it more secure. She tightened down all loose objects and strapped herself into the confines of the chair. Meanwhile the ensign aimed the shuttle at the wormhole and entered its mouth.  Shortly after entering the wormhole both Mnheia and the ensign sucked in their breath as they viewed the ‘walls’ of the wormhole…the swirling mass of walls. Suddenly the shuttle lurched forward and then back. Next it started to roll on its side…over and over and over again. Faster and faster and faster it rolled until Mnheia thought as she held on tight to the nearest object that she was going to loose her stomach. The ensign screamed and there was silence. The shuttle continued for what seemed like forever rolling over and over and lurching back and forth. All the time the walls of the wormhole grew larger and longer and tighter all at the same time. Suddenly the shuttle was ejected from the mouth of the wormhole and was surrounded by space…quite, serene space. The shuttle however shot forward and continued it’s tumble one end over another over another over another until it slowly came to a stop.

Shaken thoroughly Mnheia slowly stood up and found that her knees were wobbly. She managed somehow to advance to the front of the shuttle where the ensign was. The scream she had heard had bothered her so she felt her first duty was to check on him. She noticed that ensign was lying completely still so Mnheia walked up to the ensign and checked for a pulse. Not finding one she walked back to her duffle bag and took out a medical tricorder that had been given to her while she was on another ship.

Walking back to the ensign she pointed the medical tricorder at him and turned it on.

‘Dead…he's dead. That is what must have caused his death...that sharp metal object that seems to be sticking out of his chest at an angle.  And I do not have the slightest idea how to fly a shuttle. Lots of things I have dabbled in…like science and intelligence..but flying? NO! Well, we are drifting now…at least it appears that way…I guess I will not fiddle with the dials and things and just let it drift. Perhaps….what….what is that in the distance?’ With that Mnheia found the radio among all the dials and things and said:

“To anyone that can hear me…This is second officer Mnheia t’Llaiir. I am currently adrift after coming out of an unstable wormhole. My pilot is dead and I do not know how to fly. Please respond.”

Mnheia sat back in the closest chair and hoped that what appeared to be a ship out there had received her message and would send a shuttle or something.

"The New Arrival"
Stardate:50510.06.2400

Sharek was on the bridge, after his long fight and then subsequent 'apology' session with Ael, when the wormhole's opening was detected and the hail came in. The Ops officer looked over his shoulder at Sharek, "Sir your orders?"

    Sharek, "Open Hailing Frequencies."

    Ops Officer, "Frequencies Open, Sir."

Sharek, "This Is Captain Sharek Tekon of the Federation Starship USS Mystic to the unknown shuttle please identify yourself."

"This is 2nd officer Mnheia t'Llaiir....I have been assigned to the USS Phoenix and was on my way there via shuttle...my shuttle pilot decided to take a short cut through an unstablewormhole and now he is dead...I have no idea how to fly this shuttle and I need to get a message to my new assignment about my status...can you help me and get that message out for me?"  "Captain...did you hear me? Did my last message get though...over."

Sharek watched as the temporal scan of the shuttle came back as 2445, "Look on the Console at the main seat. There you will see a button labeled interface with a numeral padd next to it. I want you to type in 37516 then hit Interface this should allow our... Computer to Navigate your shuttle to our shuttlebay. I will meet you there and handle your questions." Sharek hit a few buttons on his arm padd and a transport beam sent him to the shuttlebay.

Mnheia did as instructed and the shuttle followed a program that was being fed into it's computer by the starship. Soon she saw the ship get larger and larger and the shuttle bay loomed in the window. After safely docking Mnheia walked down the platform to the landing bay floor. Standing before her was a tall well built man...possibly Romulan...possibly Vulcan...she was not sure. She was sure he was the captain by the pips on his color. Walking up to him Mnheia dropped her duffel bag and saluted. "Mnheia t'Llaiir...reporting as ordered sir."

Mnheia, "Can you report to the
Phoenix for me and let them know my status?"

Sharek was startled at first to see the officer was a Vulcan romulan hybrid like himself. "Ms t'Llaiir, as I said Before I am Captain Sharek Tekon... of the Ambassador X Class Timeship USS Mystic. We are from what would be your future. This wormhole took your shuttle into the past however. While normally a timeship would restore people to whence they belong, our records indicate your shuttle disappeared with all hands aboard never to be seen or heard from ever again. This leaves me with two option I can offer you; you can join my ship and its crew or be settled on the planet below us. If you join however I am afraid you can never contact or see those you left behind ever again, now if you choose to go to the planet below then it is a permanent retirement."

Mnheia just looked at the captain and maintained what became a long drawn out silence. She could not believe what she had just heard but she did allow it to sink in...slowly. "What a choice...permanent retirement or a position on this ship with no contact with anyone ever" Mnheia voiced what she understood to be her choices to the captain. "Is my understanding correct? Are those my choices? And all because a shortcut was taken through a wormhole?????"

Sharek, "I realize the choices are harsh but my ship and its crew are at war with a threat the timestream is completely unaware of. For this reason we are short staffed and must enforce safety precautions to protect this ship and its crew. For now you are our guest while my crew takes care of the shuttle and the dead pilot. Mysty the ship's Advanced A.I. can lead you to quarters where you can rest and take in what has happened. Our computer will be at your disposal to learn about what we have been thru, what we are up against, and why we need help." As Sharek finished a slim blonde woman appeared next to Tekon wearing a green shirt with black pants.

Mysty, "Hi, I'm Mysty, welcome aboard if you need anything just ask."

"I would appreciate quarters where I can refresh and think deeply about all that you have told me." Mnheia watched with interest the blonde woman that appeared and stood next to the Captain. "While I am
here and thinking, if there is anything I can do to help please let me know."

Sharek spoke up, "Actually I am currently severely understaffed for Officers right now counting myself there are 3 Senior and 1 Junior. Myself excluded they are all from other time periods recruited like
yourself. Some of the ships crewmen are those lost in time, others were saved milliseconds before their deaths when their ship's or shuttle's were vaporized. We try to give everyone a chance to stay an active
members of Starfleet even if it isn't the one they know. If you would excuse me though Mysty here will answer any more questions I have other business to attend to." with that Sharek walked out of the shuttlebay leaving Mysty with t'Llaiir.

Mnheia was led to her quarters. There she dropped her duffel bag and sat on the edge of the bed. "Everything...everyone I have ever know is gone.  According to the Captain I am stuck in time. Again according  to the Captain I have only two choices....a residence down below on the planet or a position here on the ship. A residence on the planet sounds like a lonely option and up here on the ship I will not only be with people but I will be able to contribute...even if it is in a small way. Who knows...perhaps I will be able to go home some day." Mnheia stood up and walked down to the nearest turbo lift. She commanded it to take her to the bridge where she assumed the Captain was. Upon entering the bridge Mnheia glanced at the few people staffing it, saw the Captain and walked up to him.

"Sir, it has never taken me long to make up my mind...a trait from my Romulan ancestors and training by my Vulcan relatives. I would very much like to stay on the ship and contribute however I can."

Sharek, "Good welcome to the USS Mystic. Take some time to yourself for now. Feel free to use the replicator to redecorate your quarters and get new uniforms. Once I get some free time I will give you an Evaluation Test then place you with your rank for this ship."

"Thoughts" and "Questions and Answers"
Stardate 50510.06.0541 to 50511.13.1430

Mnheia walked slowly back to the quarters she had been assigned. The words the captain had said kept ringing in her ears.

"We are from what would be your future. This wormhole took your shuttle into the past however….your shuttle disappeared with all hands aboard never to be seen or heard from ever again….you can join my ship and its crew or be settled on the planet below. If you join however I am afraid you can never contact or see those you left behind ever again."

The words `Never contact again' rang loudest.

Mnheia entered her quarters and slowly looked around. It was sparse… a table…a bed…a small sink…not much else. White walls…sterile surroundings…

`I am to spend the rest of my life here???? Never to see my family or friends again??? What have I done???' thought Mnheia in despair. Mnheia slowly unpacked her duffle bag and started to put its contents in the white dresser. `No character…this place has no character!' Mnheia's hands slowly caressed her uniforms as she hung them in the closet…also white and sterile. `My medals from Starfleet….the years of training at the academy the…my friends back home…my relatives both at home and on Vulcan…my best friend Eslyn….and me here and isolated from them all...or down on the planet and isolated from everyone and everything… but wait…who has told me these things…this captain…and what do I know of him? NOTHING! I don't think he would lie…he is after all Vulcan…or is he Romulan? I know how devious a Romulan can be and even though Vulcan's do not lie I do know that they can bend the truth…'

With that Mnheia walked over to the computer and commanded it to bring up the bio of the captain. She wanted to learn more about this `prophet  of doom that had given her a death sentence.'

`Romulan Father died, 4 months before Sharek was born, during an incident with raiders boarding the cargo vessel he was working on; his Vulcan mother, Alana, moved to earth soon after. When Sharek was 4 his mother died on a Starfleet away mission. With no family or relatives to be left with, his mother's superiors whisked Sharek away to a secret training facility that didn't exist and couldn't be found unless they wanted you to find them.' She began scanning thru the Captain's histroy paying closer attention when the Mystic began to be mentioned.

`So he did bend the truth a little….this ship must go back for re-supply sooner or later! It might be years but it will go back. And he is like me…both Romulan and Vulcan…amazing…I thought there wasn't that many of us…'

In anger Mnheia got up from a chair and exited her room. She stomped down the hallway until she got to a turbo lift. Upon entering it she commanded it to take her to CNC.

"I am sorry, I do not recognize the phrase `CNC' please explain," said the computer in Mysty's voice

"The bridge! Take me to the bridge!, commanded Mnheia.

"Immediately" replied Mystys computer voice.

Upon reaching the bridge Mnheia spotted the captain and walked straight up to him.

"Captain…we need to talk immediately…somewhere that is more private," said Mnheia with force in her voice.

Seeing the anger in her eyes and hearing the force in her voice Captain Sharek Tekon obliged and waived her into his ready room after giving over the bridge to one of his other senior officers.

"Now, how may I help you?" said the captain as he turned towards Mnheia.

Mnheia only looked at the captain and said without trying to hide the anger in her voice…

"Captain…I need to know why you lied to me. I have read your bio…you…like me are both Romulan and Vulcan…that means you are completely capable of bending the truth so do not give me that line about not
being able to lie…This ship must go back to re-supply so why when we met did you tell me that we were `lost in time' and I would never see my family again?"

Mnheia just stood looking at the Captain with her arms crossed and both her voice and eyes flaming anger.

Sharek tapped the keys on the terminal on his desk bringing up the logs and Temporal Trials from when they launched. He spun the screen around so Mnheia could cycle through the information available. "I said
what I said because during our initial trails of the Temporal Engine we encountered a problem, every time we tried to take ourself home to complete the trials we ended up getting thrown out somewhere else. Open the file labeled Trial log summary 17 there you will see what occurred in a brief story outline."

As Mnheia opened the file the information appeared on the screen
---------------------------------
Trial Log Summary 17
Captain / Colonel Sharek Tekon Current Commanding Officer
The year was 2492 and Starfleet had just finished the USS Mystic; built as a variation of the old Ambassador Class starships due to the recent reuse of the old starship designs. This variation was dubbed the Ambassador X Class but referred to as just an Ambassador Class, it was over double the size and length with far more facilities than most ships need. The reason for these reuses was peace and a chance for rebuilding. After all, Starfleet was celebrating over 25 years of peace with its neighbors. All races and walks of life were being admitted into Starfleet Academy and the United Federation of Planets. Timetravel was just starting to be created on an as-needed basis. The time-core available could only move a ship when it was at a stand still or at sub-light speeds and utilized the old fashion method of opening a stationary portal and traveling thru. For this reason the Timeship USS Mystic was given the first experimental Temporal core capable of moving a ship above light speed by temporally phasing it from the time it is at to the destination it is traveling to. This engine was tied into the ship's experimental Tri-core or Tri-standard Engine this tie inallowed the Temporal core to work while moving without error... or so they thought.
Upon launching of the USS Mystic NX-T, they immediately went to Warp. At warp 5.7 they initiated the temporal core. The first test was a success so they increased speed using the Transwarp core and tried again, but this time the ship had systems malfunction causing panels to explode. Temporal sensors showed that they fell short of their home time by 50 years. After taking 6 days to fix the damage, they tried again. Once in a transwarp state they initiated the temporal core and lightning struck twice as the ship again started to come apart upon emerging. This time they overshot their own time by 50 years. After 2 weeks of repairing the ship and studying their situation, it was determined that they were somehow locked out of their own time. Instead of staying where they were, the Captain allowed the crew to vote. This vote ended with 95.8% voting to continue with the 3 missions Starfleet gave them before they left, and hope whatever happened could be reversed at a later date.
Two months and two weeks later they tried to go home again. This time they initiated the temporal core from a complete stop, but to the crew's dismay it failed, damaging the ship by nearly 42% and ending up in the year 2041. As they were about to start fixing the ship a strange vessel that the computer barely read as Borg appeared out of temporal transit and opened fire on the USS Mystic. Crippled, without shields, weapons, engines, and only minimal life support, the Captain ordered all hands to take up arms as Borg unlike anything anyone had ever dreamed started appearing everywhere. Phasers rolled out of their arms firing chroniton energy at the crew, a process thought impossible. Key areas of the ship were reporting exploding drones; these suicide drones carried chroniton bombs but no phasers, making it easy to figure out which was which. Within minutes 57% of the crew was dead. The Borg were taking no prisoners; they wanted everyone dead.

After regrouping, the senior and junior officers devised a plan to get shields and engines up while fighting back the Borg. During this same time, a small contingent of Marines and Security lead by the Marine CO, Chief of Security, Marine XO, and Assistant Security Officer formed up. This group went over to the Borg ship using the transporting dead drones to take them there. Everything was going fine, they started to retake the ship, and Engineering was almost ready to activate both shields and engines as soon as they were minimally operational. Then it happened... one by one the senior and junior staff sacrificed their lives to make sure the ship and remaining crew could live and retreat from this new threat. The only officer heads left were the Captain, who survived at the expense of the XO sacrificing himself, and the CMO, who lived at the expense of his Assistant Medical Officer.

Finally away from this new Borg threat, they continued to flee from the ever pursuing Borg, repairing the ship in transit. Six days later, the temporal drive had recharged, accumulating enough of a specific Chroniton isotope, and they activated it going to 2542, the 26th century, for repairs and hopefully protection. There the Captain discovered the CMO had in fact been infected and was trying to treat it with modified nanites. The process was failing so the Captain was forced to vaporize the CMO or so the story he told the crew went. In reality they were both infected and the CMO only had enough serume to keep the temporal nanites in one of the dormant and chose the Captain; with this sacrifice the remaining crew's safety now came first in his eyes. It took 3 months to fix the ship refusing to let Starfleet split anyone up and only letting new crew with no family or emotional times be allowed aboard. In the end the crew voted to leave rather than risk being split up and exposing this time period to the Temporal borg. Feeling that they had no grounds to hold the USS Mystic starfleet assigned the USS Grant - D a 26th century Defiant Class Temporal Escort to help them find an alternate way home.

The USS Grant used its stationary only phase timecore to send both ships to the Mystic's home time by extending their shields and thus the field. This time the malfunctions occured on the Escort, the ships emerged with their engines offline and drifting toward a sun. The 26th Century timeship wasn't as lucky as the Mystic and collided with the sun, unable to turn away in time. The Mystic barely escaped the sun's gravity, only to find themselves in the Early-24th Century. Apparently, they could never go home. During the next 2 months they began finding new crewmembers by alternate means. They would locate Starfleet officers from any time period who were about to die or disappear with no body ever being found and gave them a chance to continue their life as Temporal Officers of the Timeship USS Mystic NX-T.
Its mission: to find and defeat the Temporal Borg who attacked them and maybe go home... someday.

End log
-----------------------------------

Mnheia stared at the screen as Sharek spoke again, "Now Open the Species file labeled Temporal Borg." Mnheia opened the file as new information appeared on the screen.

Sharek watched her as the reality of what the ship and crew has been thru sunk in, finally as she finished reading heshifted in his seat, "Now you see why I said we can never go home, and that we are 'Lost in time'." Sharek waited for a Response from Mnheia who still stared at the screen.

Slowly she lifted her sight from the computer screen.

"With all due respect sir, no I do not understand. I understand the term `lost in space' and how it applies to this ship but I do not understand why we can never go home…or why you said in the landing bay that if I join the ship you are afraid I can never contact or see those I left behind ever again. Sooner or later we will solve the puzzle of how or why this ship cannot get back to it's time. When we do I don't think there is a person on this ship that would choose to stay hidden from their family."

Sharek spoke softly as he rose from his desk staring out the window, "It is not as simple as sending you home and pretending nothing happened. You have seen the ship, its technology, and its crew. If I let you go back you could severely alter the timeline and indirectly cause one or more of us to cease to exist. As for the ship IF we can ever go home everyone will be give the chance to leave the ship and go back to their individual lives in that Starfleet."

"I see" Said Mnheia… "But I still don't understand…perhaps I never will. My ties to my family - my friends - they are strong. Perhaps I will come to a place of acceptance sooner or later. I do want to thank you for showing me the computer logs but all I knew is what I read in your bio and how it said the ship was built for re-supply. Granted it said this ship is built for a mission of years but it did say re-supply. To me that meant that sooner or later the ship would go back. I am sure you understand how I jumped to the conclusion that I did. Also back in the landing bay you said `I realize the choices are harsh but my ship and its crew are at war with a threat the time stream is completely unaware of'…..what did you mean by that?"

Sharek swiveled his stance so he was looking at Mnheia, "The Temporal Borg file I showed you... No one outside this ship knows they exist anywhere in the time stream. We are the only ones who know about them and have a prayer of gaining the technology to stop them. As for family, I married a Romulan Vulcan from the late 24th and she is pregnant with our twin children right now... so I have an idea of family ties."

"I understand, "responded Mnheia still a bit puzzled. "Sir, if I am to become a part of this ship…an important, functioning part…then I need a crew manifest preferably with pictures so I can tell who is who and what rank and what they do. I will also need to be updated to the current situation so I know the status of the ship and if any officers or crew are on LOA or sick or….well I am sure you understand."

Sharek smiled as he moved forward, "Computer authorize Mnheia t'Llaiir as Second Officer of the USS Mystic and transfer all command codes per my authorization Alpha Sigma Epsilon 32347. Rank to be entered as Crewman till Command Fitness Test is given to officiate terms of assignment."

"Thank you," said Mnheia as she heard the rank..."If you don't mind sir, if and when we get back and I do emphasize `when`what will happen to your wife? Will you stay here to be with her? Will you bring her along? And these Temporal Borg...can you tell me more about them?"

Sharek, "I will go wherever my wife goes even if it means leaving this ship and Starfleet. As for more on the Borg - talk to Terminal X in Engineering."

Mnheia left the Ready Room after being dismissed and walked to her quarters. Once there she accessed the computer in her room and delved into the files about the Temporal Borg. Mnheia also accessed the manifest and read the bio's of all the crewmembers with relish. Mnheia delved into reading and acquainting herself with the ship, crew and the Temporal Borg..…a faint light shown out from beneath her quarters door for hours.

Sometime long after midnight…closer to 3 am…Mnheia turned off the computer she was reading, turned off her light and crawled into bed. That night her dreams were filled with Borg. They chased her and caught her and made her into one of them. Waking with a start Mnheia crawled out of bed and walked over to the sink and ran some cold water. Splashing it on her face she then grabbed a towel and wiped the extra water off. She then glanced at a clock and noticed that it said 6:30 am.

`The captain told me to take the day off and get familure with the ship…I guess I will just start early by grabbing some breakfast,' thought Mnheia as she slipped a clean uniform on.

Walking out into the hallway and shutting the door to her quarters tightly, Mnheia asked the first person that she found where the mess hall was. Adjusting her direction she soon found herself walking through its doors.

Mnheia looked at the food that was available…scrambled eggs…pancakes…bacon…she decided she wanted none of these. Grabbing a cup for coffee and a bowl of fruit she walked to her table and sat down sipping the coffee and contemplating events of the last few hours.

`If I had not given the pilot permission to take a shortcut through the wormhole then not only would the pilot still be alive but I would be on the USS Phoenix and back in my own time. As it is the pilot is dead and I am here on the USS Mystic as second officer and we are somewhere in time…but not my time,' said Mnheia to herself while sipping the coffee. `What was it the captain had said? Oh yes….when I asked the captain what did he mean by his previous statement he replied: 'The Temporal Borg file I showed you... No one outside this ship knows they exist anywhere in the time stream. We are the only ones who know about them and have a prayer of gaining the technology to stop them.' That is when I went to my quarters and pulled as much information as I could off the computer about them. I even dreamed about them!' Mnheia sat sipping her coffee and eating her bowl of fruit in a daze thinking about all that she had learned the night before about the Temporal Borg.

Mysty Has a second Hologram in sickbay where Anton Tobias was currently at. As her hologram walked around the vacant sickbay she couldn't help but miss Ael. Mysty had taken up the duty of watching Anton's readings when she recorded Zorran on her way to the bridge. She felt that if one good thing could come from all this then maybe there was room for two.  Mysty moved to the foot of Tobias' biobed and checked the readings again. Instead of being the same as they have been for the last month they were becoming unstable and unpredictable. Mysty though of Activating the EMH instead of contacting Ael but decided she could figure this out as she searched here database for answers.

Without any warning, Anton sat up wide awake in the biobed, "They're coming." He spun around on the bed and looked dead at Mysty, "They're coming for us. The Borg are coming for us."

Dawn appeared next to Anton, "Mysty, go tell Tekon and tell him to prepare for war. I'll take care of Anton." She put her arms around him.

Anton, "And tell that old bastard that I will be in his office in ten minutes."

Mysty watched Anton and Dawn leave as she instantly transferred the information to the Hologram with Sharek.

----------------------------
Captain's Ready Room that same instant.

Mysty, "Sharek, Anton's awake; he just sat up suddenly as his readings began to change. He said the Borg are coming to prepare for war. He's on his way here now."

Sharek, "Good to hear he's awake, I only wish the news was better that came with him. If need be I'll have Terminal listen in if I need any advice, he is beginning to be quite useful."

Ten minutes later, Anton walked into Sharek's office, phaser rifle in hand, "Sir, you have been informed that the Temporal Borg is on their way to intervene with First Contact. They monitored what the Enterprise is doing and have decided to try and go after the Vulcans after the Enterprise leaves so that First Contact never leads to anything. We need to go stop them and make sure that we are not detected by the Vulcan Vessel. I have devised a plan as to how to stop them. We need to send a team onboard their ship and detonate one of the Omega particle weapons."

Sharek, "Give me the padd with your plan. Then I want you to contact security and the marines have them pass out weapons both energy and bladed to all crew members. After that have Temporal Science scan First Contact to give us a precise incursion date to arrive. I am also authorizing the use of the Scorpion's for Shadow Ops to use since they can cloak. Have the Marines perpare the Omega Flyer with Sterling's Alpha Team on standby."

Anton pulled a padd from his suit and tossed it onto Tekon's desk, "There you go. Dawn will take care of Security and the Marines, my team was already ready and had already claimed the Scorpions. I'm going to be taking the remaining team members on to my ship and well lie in wait for the Borg. All I want you to do is to focus all fire onto the designated areas that you will find in the padd. I'm taking two of the Omega bombs with me and my team will detonate them accordingly. I tell you now though, when you see me take off, if you like your ship you better try to keep up. Got it, Sir." Anton took a grenade out from behind his back and started tossing it up in the air.

"Keeping up isn't the problem, besides if the Mystic goes your stuck in the past with nowhere to go." Sharek said smirking. "Just remember the Scorpions need to be back inside the Mystic before you detonate the bombs otherwise they'll never outrun them. Just make sure to contact Temporal Science yourself, that way they can familiarize you with how to activate the scanning equipment. I want everyone to be flexible enough to fill in anywhere if needed. Also remember this IS a Starfleet vessel get permission before assuming control of Auxillary Craft otherwise I'll have Mysty start locking down the controls when not in use. What your team does on away missions is up to them but on this vessel you follow orders otherwise get the hell off my ship."

Anton put the grenade away, "You need to calm down, Captain Tekon. What you need to understand is that you seem to not have the best of luck with the Temporal Borg. Last time they killed everyone, I believe. We may be in the past, but that really doesn't stop us from continuing our existences and you know that. If the Temporal Drive were to be destroyed beyond repair, we could still make it.  There is a lot of galaxy out there. I took control of the situation because as it stands, we don't know that within close proximity to the Temporal Borg ship if you'll still retain your control over those nasty little nanites in you. You understand, Captain, that if you start to be assimilated again, we will have to kill you. Right now you are a threat to this ship and it's crew. We are beyond Starfleet at this point. We are going to fight for our lives and the lives of everyone before us. You need to get over your f***ing rank and realize that this is bigger than Starfleet now. Let's go do what we need to do and then afterwards we can all have a little pow-wow if you want. Are you understanding me correctly, Captain?" Anton wasn't joking around. He knew what the results would be if the Temporal Borg succeeded. All the time he spent on his away mission to the late 28th century cause him to grow and to think about his whole situation. This ship wasn't Starfleet anymore. It was lost just like he was lost to his time. He knew they could never go back. Something wouldn't let them and it was probably for the best. They were alone in the galaxy. Traversing time and space to do what needed to be done for the greater good. Maybe they were all meant to be here on this ship doing what they are. Maybe they were born to do it. Rank and regulation didn't matter at this point. They were above all of that now.

"Look, Attitude aside I realize we are removed from Starfleet so I have no problem with letting some things slide, but you still need to show others respect including myself. I just want us to remain in the habit as a way to keep order, and have a grip on situations without going overboard, I'm not going to make us stick to every little regulation in the book. As for the Temporal Borg and my own nanites I think Terminal X is more of a concern than myself, if he switches sides he can shut engineering down. We may need to link the three of our minds together in the extreme case that our safe guards I've installed in his circuitry don't block the signal from reaching him."

Anton was calming down a bit when he saw that Tekon was on his side of the situation. "Terminal X can be destroyed if need be, f**k the whole ship could be destroyed if need be. He is just a collection of nanites, you are still a living, breathing creature and you can cause everything to be lost. You have the ability to access all of the ships data and computers. You have the ability to order Mysty to basically do what you want and that is a very effective tool for the Temporal Borg. There is no need to link me to the two of you, I'm not going to lose it. If the time comes and all is lost, I will activate the self-destruct and evacuate all remaining personnel to my ship and we will live out an existence somewhere in the galaxy. If you make it through, you're more than invited. Word of advice, let up on the whole 'this is my ship thing', cause whether you like it or not, this is not just your ship, this is everyone aboard’s ship. We all make it what it is and keep it running. We don't need you to do any of the fighting, myself and Sterling can handle that. You just handle the ship. We got all angles covered. Any more problems, Captain Tekon?"

Sharek stood from behind his desk and walked over to the window as he looked out he spoke softly. "Its hard to admit that all the work I did to get the crew and the ship back on its feet and self sufficient has actually worked. Somedays I still see it as the battered and broken home my remaining crew started to fix after the attack. As I see more faces saved and brought to our ship to crew it I am reminded that I am needed less. I no longer need to be awake all day every day thanks to my XO and now a Second officer. I no longer need to run between departments thanks to two Advanced A.I.'s and several senior officers that can now pick up the slack. Even the Marines and Engineering have been better thanks to Sterling and Terminal."

Anton, "Sir, you are here to lead more as Administration not a soldier. All the departments are supposed to run without you needing to be there to guide us. You have successfully brought this ship back from the shell it was. You should have time to relax now and leave everything to us. This is our home now and we're not going to let it be destroyed. We will fight and we will win. You should just sit back and watch, sipping on a glass of the Romulan Ale you hide behind your desk. And in any case, I expect the explosion to be rather beautiful to watch." Anton smiled hoping to get a good response for the Captain.

Sharek, "Well then hopefully this mission will go quickly. I'll make sure Temporal Science's report gets to everyone and maybe use any free time to test our new 2nd officer if she is still staying aboard. Unless there is anything else Lt. dismissed."

Anton saluted, did an about face and left with Dawn trailing closely behind.  He would make sure that the ship was ready for war.  Temporal Science would get the coordinates and the Mystic would Depart at once for Earth.

Lt Col Ariss Zorran
Executive Officer, USS Mystic

"Brick Walls"

SD- 50511.14

]- XO's Office -[

All the brick walls that she'd fought to erect and sustain for all her years had been torn down by those brief moments spent in Tekon's mind meld.  She'd seen his memories of the events that led to his almost-assimilation by the Borg.  She'd seen it, heard it, tasted the acrid fumes of an exploded turbo-shaft that a suicide drone had destroyed.

Ariss rubbed her hands over her face as she limped into her office.  There was a small basin in the far corner where she splashed water on her face in the hopes that the chilled water would snap her out of her funk.  As she was patting her face gently with the towel she looked into the small mirror.  She watched as half her face morphed into Tekon's.  She shook her head quickly to clear her vision and when she looked back in the mirror she was herself again.

She was only half-Betazoid, but it was enough so that she felt what Tekon had felt.  All his fear, his hate, his pain.  Every single thought, feeling and conversation he'd had in the days leading up to, during, and the days after the attack by the Borg were swirling around in her mind...and there was no way for her to even start assimilating it, for lack of a better term.  Had she been a full Betazoid she'd be able to process it and stash it away in the depths of her mind somewhere.  Actually, had she been full-blooded, her walls wouldn’t have crumble at all.  She would have been able to watch the events, like a holo-vid, rather than take part in them. She may only be half, but she was still an exceptionally talented tele/empath.

She focused on the image in the mirror again. In the back of her mind she felt Tekon's sudden elation at the news that Anton was awake.

Mysty appeared on the holo-pedastal that was part of her office.  The miniature AI turned on the pedestal to face Ariss. "Lt Colonel Zorran.  Great news...Anton.."

"..is awake.  Yes, Mysty, I know already," Ariss finished for her.

The AI narrowed her eyes.  "But..how?  You can’t read an AI's mind."

"It doesn’t matter.  You may leave now," she said, watching the AI in the mirror.

"But.."

"Now!" she yelled and spun around, doing a round-house kick with enough power that the pedestal went flying. Her bad leg protested and she had to take a calming breath before she gave into the urge to destroy everything in the office.

She looked in the mirror again.  "You're weak," her reflection told her.  Seconds later the image shattered as Zorran put her hand through the mirror.  Dripping blood from the hand she limped to her desk and collapsed into her big black chair.  She dug into a drawer and removed a dark green box.  It looked like a simple puzzle box, but Ariss had made it herself and only she knew the secret of opening it.  She quickly had it open and pulled out the contents.  A hypo-spray and a collection of vials soon lay in front of her.  She plucked one of the vials out of it's holder and attached it to the hypo-spray.

Had this new Tekon seen as much of her mind and memories as she had seen of his?  Had he seen the depth of friendship that she and the Tekon of her timeline had shared?  The attraction that could not be acted upon...

It didn’t matter right now.  She didn’t want to think about it.

She looked at the hypo-spray in her hand then closed her eyes.

"Resistance is futile," she murmured and dosed herself up, letting the drug, whatever it was, sap all the thought from her and leave her pleasantly numb.

Mysty, Ship's A.I.

"The Hour Draws Near"
Stardate:50511.16

Sharek left his office and was on his way to temporal science, he had told them what was going on and where to scan already hoping they would have some results before he arrived. As he headed down the turbolift he couldn't help but think of the memories, feelings, and experiences he had gained from Zorran after their mind meld. He knew now first hand about the Tekon she worked with back in her time, of their friendship, and her 'feelings' toward him, feelings now inside him.

Before he realized it the turbolift had stopped and he walked down the hall to temporal science. There he walked in to see it's staff running between machines and double checking readouts and information being found. One of Mysty's Holograms appeared before him.

Mysty, "The readouts are almost complete they are double checking the information and composing it into a hypothesis matrix as we speak."

Sharek, "Thank you Mysty, has Engineering completed the dampeners for the A.I. chambers based on the information gathered from Anton's Ship?"

Mysty, "Terminal X designed them and is having the Engineers install them as we speak. They will be done within the next half hour. He also reports engineering ready to go with repair teams and our weak areas from last fight with the Temporal Borg have been safe guarded using internal shield enhancements based on Anton's ship. He doesn't have time to apply the other modifications without doing a major refit and as you know that requires a near empty ship and usually a spacedock or starbase."

Sharek, "Mysty, as simple statement would have worked. Anyway has Dawn informed the Marines and Security yet?"

Mysty, "They are making sure all crewmembers have a Phaser Rifle of their choice as well as a Bladed weapon either replicated or from the klingon stores we have in the weapons lockers. I have also taken the liberty of arming your collection in your Ready Room as per your instructions."

Sharek, "Good, as soon as we have the target date I'll inform the crew and senior staff."

A Temporal Science Officer rank of Lt walked over, "Sir we have the Target date.
April 5, 2063, we will need be there cloaked until the USS Enterprise NCC 1701-E leaves for the future. Afterwards we will have approximately ten minutes to get everyone into place before the Temporal Borg come onto the scene their wake of events hasn't reached us due to being in the past so we can't go past that date until we correct the timeline. We have detected one cube, scans show it to be an updated version of a Borg cube from the 24th century that was 'destroyed' because of the Borg Queen extinguishing anomalies in the collective. Boarding the ship shouldn't be hard as long as we route the Transporters thru Terminal X's transport matrix to trick their system into thinking dead bodies are being returned." The man handed the Captain a data padd.

Sharek looked over the padd, "Send the exact coordinates to the second to Terminal X and engage engines at maximum slipstream so we arrive as soon as we are ready to leave orbit. Your scans show that to be thirty minutes at Slipsteam. That gives everyone enough time to pray or prepare in their own ways."

The man nodded and walk away heading for a wall terminal comm system. Mysty looked at Sharek and spoke softly, "I will have one of my holograms with Ael at all times Sharek. I am also downloading a hologram into the Omega Flyers automation matrix as per
Sterling's Instructions, he wants all men hands free so I'll be flying it. I am having another hologram help with shuttlebay preparations, then on to the last minute engineering issues."

Sharek sighed, "Mysty patch me thru to the entire crew."

Mysty nodded and the comm system chirped throughout the ship.

Sharek, "Attention all hands, as some of you have heard by now we are heading to Earth in the Year 2063, to First Contact. After the Enterprise leaves we will have ten minutes to get our ships into place before a Temporal Borg cube arrives to eradicate the human race. We will stop them; this time WE take the fight to them. We have gain technology, prepared our crew, and made me proud to call you Temporal Officers. In thirty minutes we will be at Earth and we will engage the Temporal Drive. At that time I want all hands armed with both Phaser Rifle & Blade; and at their posts anyone wishing to retire on the surface grab your gear and do so now. The Marines will be under the leadership of Lt Col. Ariss Zorran with Major Sterling leading Alpha team on the Omega Flyer as battle assistance for the Mystic and Shadow Ops. Shadow Ops under the leadership of Lt & Major Anton Tobias will be taking the Scorpions and the Fey'ri under cloak to assault the cube along side us then plant Omega Particle Bombs on the Borg cube. When this happens the Mystic will be opening a small rift in space time for the cube to fall through while all ships leave the system as quickly as possible. Hopefully those on the planet will have no idea the planet was almost destroyed. Security, Engineering, and Medical teams will be stationed throughout the ship. I wish good luck to you all, let’s take this fight to the bastards and honor the memories of all who have perished in our last fight with the Temporal Borg. Tekon out."

Mysty closed the comm line as Sharek spoke again, "Open a Line to Crewman t'Llaiir." Mysty signaled it was open, "Tekon to t'Llaiir, I want you on the bridge with me for this fight I realize you are a new
addition but should something happen I have full faith in you to keep the fight going and carry out the plan. Tekon out."

Mysty spoke, "Should I open a line to Zorran?"

Sharek nodded and the line opened, "Tekon to Zorran, take the remaining marine teams and station them in key areas of the ship as you see fit. Engineering is top priority as well as at least two men down with the A.I. chambers that was a primary target last time. Computer core, and shuttlebay should be next. Also take control of Security and situate them as well. Take care of yourself out there Ariss, I don't want to have to come rescue you like the other Tekon did. Tekon out."

Sharek sighed again as he rubbed the back of his neck, it was time for another nanite suppression hypo so he headed back to his ready room. There he took a kit from his desk and shot the medicine into his Inferior Thyroid Vein (neck). He then turned his attention to the computer screen and sent out a file on the Temporal Borg to all Crewmembers.

    The File Read as Follows
-----------------------------------------------
The Temporal Borg have advance shielding that our weapons were not able to penetrate last time. Using technology from other centuries as well as technology from a race that died out before the Borg ever were we
have altered all the rifles. If you are lucky we may get one or two shots off before they adapt if and when they board.

Remember all Temporal Borg have chroniton phasers built into their right forearms, chroniton radiation can be lethal so wear body armor from a weapons locker if you feel you are not fast enough to dodge a
blast. If a Borg has no circular chest plate and a wider girth then it is a suicide drone carrying a chroniton bomb, even if you kill it, it will explode so get away quickly we can worry about repairs later.

They are not single minded like the Borg most are capable of rapid mental and situational adaptation and will attack anyone even those unarmed, wounded, or running. I wish no one to die but if you know you will, then take out as many of those bastards as you can on the way out. I wish I could have served with some of you longer and have not had much time to get to know you but I trust every one of you with the life of myself and our ship the USS Mystic. I chose to bring every one of you aboard because I believe it was fate that brought us together in order to defeat the Temporal Borg.

Live Long and Prosper

Star date 50511.15.0744

Location: USS Mystic Mess Hall

Mnheia sat sipping her coffee and eating her bowl of fruit still in a daze thinking about all that she had learned the night before about the  Temporal Borg when suddenly she heard over the intercom:

"Attention all hands, as some of you have heard by now we are heading to Earth in the Year 2063, to First Contact. After the Enterprise leaves we will have ten minutes to get our ships into place before a Temporal Borg cube arrives to eradicate the human race. We will stop them; this time WE take the fight to them. We have gain technology, prepared our crew, and made me proud to call you Temporal Officers. I wish good luck to you all, let’s take this fight to the bastards and honor the memories of all who have perished in our last fight with the Temporal Borg. Tekon out."

When the announcement over the intercom was over Mnheia's comm badge chirped and she hear Tekon's voice:

"Tekon to t'Llaiir, I want you on the bridge with me for this fight I realize you are a new addition but should something happen I have full faith in you to keep the fight going and carry out the plan. Tekon out."

`If something should happen?' mused Mnheia. `Is the Captain expecting the worst? Is he expecting something bad to happen? I had better go up to the bridge now as instructed and see if there is any way I can help.'

Mnheia got up from her table and left a half a cup of coffee. She did finish the bowl of fruit though. Leaving the mess hall Mnheia found herself thinking that she has yet to meet the XO and introduce herself. Seeing Mysty walking down the hallway in the opposite direction Mnheia stopped her and asked where the XO was….Lt Col Ariss Zorran.

"The Executive Officer is in the Executive Officers office and not to be disturbed," responded Mysty.

Mnheia nodded in understanding and thought to herself `Perhaps some other time' and then proceeded on to the bridge.

Walking up to the bridge she entered and saw the Captain already there. She smiled in acknowledgment of his presence and walked directly over to the Science Department station. Until a science officer could be found she was pulling triple duty. She was at times Second Office, Intelligence Officer and Science Officer.

Accessing the computer on the panel Mnheia saw the first thing that came on the screen was a file about the Temporal Borg. She read the file carefully and then decided that even though the Borg seemed to be a well armed and organized species if they had any thoughts of assimilating Mnheia…well they were in for a fight.

After reviewing all the digital readouts and everything that the Science Panel entailed Mnheia turned to the Captain and indicated that the position was completely ready as was she…ready for time travel…ready for the Borg…ready for what ever this ship or time threw at her.

Lt. Anthony Tobias
Head of Shadow Ops, USS Mystic

Captain / Colonel Sharek Tekon
Captain, USS Mystic

Duty Post, "Shell of a Time"
Stardate:50511.16.1827

::Shadow Ops::

Anton had been working hard on a way to cause more damage to the Temporal Borg.  He looked at all the information on them and all notes from what crew members remained form the last fight.  It seemed that
the Temporal Borg were so quick to adapt to the energy weapons that the bladed weapons were turning out to be the only ones really effective.

After sitting at it for a while, Anton decided to try an old twenty-first style approach and use projectile weapons.  After having to convince the replicator it was necessary to create items that were in the holosuite files, he had his weapons.  Anton got himself an M4A1 and a HK MP5A1.  Both of them were more potent and it didn't seem like the temporal Borg really had a way to defend against them.  Terminal got confused when Anton told them how they worked.  He said that they were too primitive to be effective.  He was mistaken though.  The only problem with these weapons was ammunition and carrying capacity. Carrying extra magazines of ammo and the weapon itself turned out to be more cumbersome than a normal phaser rifle. The Marines and Shadow Ops wouldn
't have a problem with carrying all of it because they were used to carrying lots of gear, but security and the rest of the ship might have an issue.  Special Pouches were needed to carry the magazines and the S.O.C.I.S. had pockets that would be good enough for the purpose.  The pouches could easily be connected to the Marines' harnesses.

With all this data, Anton went to the Captain with a padd in one hand, the MP5 in the other and the M4 slung over his back.  He rang the doorbell to the ready room.

Sharek was behind his desk, he had just walked in a few minutes ago after giving t’Llaiir the Bridge. As he stood there checking his display of phasers he heard the door chime. "Come in"

Anton walked in and put the padd and the weapons on his desk. "I think I found a way to combat the Temporal Borg better, Sir.  It's all in the report on the padd."

Sharek looked over the padd, even though crude firing weapons were banned after Earths last World War he gave the issue serious thought. "Normally I wouldn't approve this but lately I find myself approving allot of projects Starfleet doesn't allow. So I want HKMP5's replicated and distributed to all Security, Senior Staff, Marines, and Shadow Ops instead of Phasers. I also want M4's replicated and given to all Marines, Shadow Ops, and Senior Staff."

Anton noted this, "Sir, I'll just go ahead and have the HKMP5s replicated for personnel staying on the Mystic.  The M4s will be replicated for the Marines and Shadow Ops that will be attacking the Borg directly.  It wouldn't be wise to use the M4s on the Mystic because of the possible damage it could do.  My team that will be assaulting the Borg ship will have them as well as whomever
Sterling sees fit.  The only thing though, sir, is that the ammunition for these will take some time to make due to the amount needed.  Engineering will need to assist."  Anton picked up the HKMP5 and slung the M4 over his back.

Sharek sent the data from the padd the Mysty's database. "Use whatever industrial replicators you have to, they are located in the cargo bays and require a senior officer’s code to replicate weapons. Your codes should work fine. Dismissed." Sharek watched Anton leave then sat down sinking in his chair thinking of how far from Starfleet his crew has been removing themselves. After a few minutes he stood up
and went back to the bridge where he left his second officer.

Sharek was sitting on the bridge with his second officer at science. Zorran was with the Marines somewhere, and Shadow Ops was ready to go. Sharek looked at the HKMP5 on his side where his phaser normally was if this plan worked they could expect the Temporal Borg to start searching for them, hopefully with no results. Sharek looked to the man and woman sitting at the conn and ops stations and spoke, "Take us out of Slipstream and engage cloak. Reduce speed to Warp 5 until within sensor range of earth." The next minute continued on for what seemed like an eternity until Sharek saw the reading of earth appear on his armrest display. "Reduce speed to sublight and take up a defensive orbit around Earth as soon as the
Enterprise leaves."

As the Enterprise lit the screen with the temporal conduit they were taking home the Mystic slowly maneuvered to take its place. Once the Enterprise was gone and the Mystic in its former orbit the Captain spoke again this time tapping his comm. badge, "Shadow Ops, were in position your have a go to take up cloaked positions at the coordinates in your computers. If our scans are correct the Cube will appear directly in the firing path of all ships. See you on the other side of the sector if this works, Tekon out."

As the computer read the exiting of 5 cloaked Scorpions; leaving one in the shuttle bay; and the cloaked Fey'ri exited the Captain spoke again. "All departments and security teams’ check in for mission go." Sharek watched, Medical, Engineering and Most of the Minor departments check in rather fast. Either they were ready or nervous as hell. Sharek sat back and waited for the Marines and looked to t'Llaiir for the Science department’s status.

As Sharek waited for the responses he couldn't help but feel a shiver up his spine as they would be waiting the next nine minutes for an enemy that almost killed them last time.

Mnheia looked over all the digital readouts of the science station again…just to be sure. Then she turned and looked at the Captain and nodded that she was ready and the station was ready. But was she really? As much as she trusted herself, as determined as she was, was she really ready? Her stomach was doing flips, her breathing was erratic, she felt herself tensing up. Her mind was going a million miles a second as she thought of the enemy and the imminent attack. Unconsciously her hand reached down to her favorite weapon of choice and curled around the handle of an authentic highland double edged sword she had found while she journeyed the earth before she went to the Starfleet Academy.

Mnheia looked over at the captain again and noticed that he was even more tense then her. She could tell by the flare of his nostrils, the brightness of his eyes, the alertness of his body posture. She also noticed that he held his HKMP5 tightly and kept nervously staring at the turbo lift doors.

Sharek gripped the HKM5 tightly and looked at the turbolift, the Borg would be appearing any second and he could only think of what happened last time. The Screaming, the explosions, the death...

She felt like telling him to relax, that everything would be alright. But something kept her from doing so. Something told her that to do so would be a waste of effort, that the captain was going to worry until this was over.

Just then she heard something and looked up. Not seeing anyone surprised her as the voice - or was it voices? - were so clear. She started to mention this to the captain, to tell him that she had heard something when she heard it again. Half in terror, half in a fascination she could not explain Mnheia listened.

Sharek could hear whispering in his voice, whispering over and over... getting louder. It was then that he realized it wasn't his memories but the Borg... He could hear them coming... As they Began to get louder he unknowingly was whis[pering what he heard and he was starting to feel like his mind would explode. Suddenly the view screen lit up as the Borg cube appeared and Sharek could hear a voice in his head a voice that he unwillingly spoke the words of out loud. Sharek, "We are the Borg. Resistance is Futile." As he said it he dropped to his knees and grabbed his head fighting to save his mind from the invasion of the Borg. They hadn't won yet but he could feel the pressure from their mental assault building in his mind. It felt like he was holding back a bursting damn with a bulldozer.

Sharek had dropped the HKM5 on the floor as he held his head now screaming in pain. He could feel the implants inside him burning trying to eat up the dormancy drug and activate. Sharek yelled out the words as he could form them, "Computer... transfer all ship codes for Tekon, Sharek, Captain Colonel to t'Llaiir, Mnheia, Crewman. Authorization Omega Delta 53 Epsilon 4792 Encode transfer allowance to Zorran, Ariss, Lt Colonel upon command request. Engage."

Mysty's Voice rang out, "Command of the Mystic has been transferred to Mnheia t'Llaiir until Ariss Zorran is able to take command."

Before another word was said Terminal X's voice came over the intercom, "Captain, you need to take a medkit and give yourself enough drug cocktail to put yourself into a comma. Once under I will use my Positronic Brain to take control and act like a firewall so they can't. You will still need someone to get your medicine and inject a massive quantity into your heart... directly, to force the implants into dormancy."

Sharek crawled in agony to the panel near his chair, as he opened in and took the Medkit out he was no longer aware of what was going on around him only of the hypospray he was taking out and the drugs he was putting into it. As he put the hypospray to his neck he could see Mysty running out of his ready room with the case that contained his medicine.

With the drugs entering his system all went black as Mysty took an old fashion syringe from the case. She quickly filled it with a large dose of Tekon's dormancy drug for the nanites and in one quick downward motion stabbed him in the heart with it injecting the drug into his system. Sharek began to shake violently as Mysty picked him up and beamed him to a biobed in sickbay leaving the bridge without his presence in a time of need.

Back on the Bridge the male ensign at Tactical looked to t'Llaiir, "Anton will be signaling to fire soon what are your orders Sir?"

“Heartburn”

The Fey’ri had moved into position, with the assault team ready to go. The Fey’ri would stay cloaked until the completion of the mission and would uncloak only to enter warp.  The remaining members of Shadow Ops would be piloting the Scorpions and would attack the Borg Cube directly to assist the Mystic.  The teams had been assigned their duties and we ready to go.  The Scorpions were already cloaked and circling the Borg Cube, waiting for the Mystic to engage.

The Infiltration team was geared up.  They would be split into two man teams. One man would carry the satchel which consisted of a Omega Device and the other would carry Plasma grenades.  They had to keep the gear weight low due to the extra weight of the ammo for the M4s.  They each carried a full battle load which consisted of seven magazines.  The team was ready.

“Dawn beam us to the coordinates inside the Borg Cube and signal the Mystic.” Anton pressed a few buttons on one of the terminals.  The transporters activated and within seconds, the team materialized inside the Borg Cube.  Anton signaled to his Bravo team and they headed out to where they would place the bomb.

TEAM ALPHA'S POV: Tobias and Chadwick

Anton had Chadwick with him, carrying the satchel.  They started to make their way down the long passage ways. They had planned to take the long way which would keep them away from as many borg drones as possible.  The plan was to set the devices and then set the timers with enough time to make it out.  Alpha team started to quietly move through the halls when they came across a corridor with borg drones in sleep mood.  Anton and Chadwick had successfully gotten past them, when one woke up and looked directly at them.  Anton knew that this wasn’t going to be easy anymore.  He opened fire on the drone putting two in the chest and one in the head.  The drone dropped and the others started to wake up.

“Move.  Bravo Team, go dynamic.  We have engaged the enemy and they know we’re here.  Hurry up and call back when your ready to set the timer.”

Bravo Team came back, “Willco.”

Anton and Chadwick started to run down the corridors to their objective.  The M4s quickly took down the drones, but ammo was going quick.  Luckily they hadn’t had to use any of the grenades yet.

Bravo came over the comms, “Specter, we’ve reached our objective.  We are placing the satchel and awaiting your command to set the timer.”

“Roger, Bravo.  We are almost to our objective.  Hold position.  What’s your status on ammo?”

Bravo, “Not good.  We’ve used up over half of our rounds and only have two grenades left.”

“Roger, just make it out alive.  Specter out.”

Alpha team had made it to the final corridor before they reached the Borg Cube’s core.  The corridor was lined with drones and as soon as they reached it they all started to wake up.  Anton and Chadwick took cover and threw two grenades down the corridor.  The grenades exploded, taking out most of the drones.  The remaining drones were taken out quickly with M4 fire.  They had reached the core.  Anton ordered Chadwick to place the satchel and ready the timer.  “Bravo team, activate the timer and move to extraction.”

Bravo, “Roger.”

Chadwick started the timer and Alpha team headed back to the extraction point.

TEAM BRAVO'S POV: Ecks and Sever

Once the order was given they moved out.  They were going to be planting at the cube’s shield generator, just incase the bombs didn’t work completely.  Ecks and Sever were flawless in their ability to stay undetected until Lt. Tobias came over the comms.

Anton, “Bravo Team, go dynamic.  We have engaged the enemy and they know we’re here.  Hurry up and call back when your ready to set the timer.”

The drones they had been passing all started to wake up.  It was going to be a hard road to the generator room.  Keeping to cover, Bravo team moved through the crowded corridors, taking out any drones they saw. Two corridors were so packed with enemies that they had to deploy grenades to take them out.  There were only two rooms and a few more corridors before they reached the generator room.  Ecks opened the next door and they rushed in.

The room was dark, too dark to see clearly.  They put on their E.C.G.s to see a hoard of enemy drones ahead of them.  The drones could see them too.  The drones started to fire their chroniton phasers.  Bravo hit the floor and Ecks deployed two grenades.  The grenades exploded with a flash of light.  You could see the pain in some of the drones’ eyes.  In the explosion, Sever had gotten a splash of plasma on the leg of his suit.  Not only was she injured, it had shorted out her suits technology, making her more susceptible to enemy fire.  Bravo moved through the corridor and into the generator room.  They took out the few drones that were in there and placed the satchel.

“Specter, we’ve reached our objective.  We are placing the satchel and awaiting your command to set the timer.”

Anton, “Roger, Bravo.  We are almost to our objective.  Hold position.  What’s your status on ammo?”

“Not good.  We’ve used up over half of our rounds and only have two grenades left.”

Anton, “Roger, just make it out alive, Specter out.”

The team stood by.  They took cover behind some consoles and covered the doors.  A drone or two would try to enter, but the M4 fire quickly disposed of them.  The minutes they waited felt like days.  Every so often they would look over at the time on the device as it flashed ’10:00’.  The call finally came in.

Anton, “Bravo team, activate the timer and move to extraction.”

“Roger.”

Sever started the timer and Bravo went charging out of the room.  They had more ground to cover than Alpha did, but most of the enemy drones had been taken out already.  They reached the extraction point, but there was no sign of Alpha Team.

“Alpha this is Bravo, where are you?”

Anton, “We’re pinned down in a corridor about 500 meters from extraction.  Move to assist.”

Bravo went rushing to aid the Chief.  They came up on the corridor to find drones firing down the corridor.  Ecks deployed the last two grenades and took out the drones.  Tobias came rushing towards Ecks and Sever, weapon slung carrying Chadwick on his back.

Anton, “He took a shot from one of their phasers.  We need to get him out of here as soon as possible.  Let’s move to extraction and get outta here.  We only have two minutes left.”

Ecks and Sever nodded and they led Tobias to extraction.

Anton, “Dawn beam us aboard.”  Dawn activated the transporters and within seconds they were back.  Anton put down Chadwick, “Ecks, Sever, go with him.  Dawn, beam them to sickbay on the Mystic and prepare for us to go.”  Dawn nodded and the three soldiers dematerialized away to the Mystic.  The S.O.C.S. rose out of the floor in the bridge and Anton quickly jumped in.

The display on of the screens showed the timer, “15…14…13…12…11..10…”  Anton disengaged the cloak and raised the shields.  He fired a few shots at the cube to get their attention and waved, “See you later, boys.”  He raised the power and hit the activation button and took off into warp.  He hoped that the Mystic had seen him and wouldn’t be far behind.

“3…2…1…”

MARINES POV: On the Omega Flyer shortly before Shadow Ops beamed inside

Major Sterling's Duty Post
Marine Team Alpha Leader, USS Mystic
Mysty, Ship's A.I.

Staff Sergeant Reynolds, Alpha Team Marine

Ensign Jacob Raymond, Shadow Ops

Ensign Walter Williams, Shadow Ops

Petty Officer Second Class Frank Lopez, Shadow ops

"Penance and Redemption"
Stardate:50511.

Sterling didn't like sitting on the Omega Flyer with his men ready doing nothing. Finally the signal came that the Borg cube had appeared and the Omega Flyer left the shuttlebay heading for the cube. The computer showed the transport of the Shadow Ops teams and Sterling gave the signal for his weapons officer to open fire. As the Omega Flyers weapons hit the Cube they were joined by the Scorpions and Mystic's weapons. Blasts shot out from the cube hitting the Mystic multiple times.

Sterling yelled out, "Com, patch me into the scorpions headsets," the man at the com station gave the line open signal, "Omega Man to Scorpion Leader our sensors read that our weapons fire has opened a hole into the ship. We plan on beaming inside and Stealing some of there technology. If you’re with us then head through the opening and provide cover fire"

Ens. Raymond, "This is Scorpion leader, we read you and are headin in."

The Borg cube was firing less now and took no shots at the cloaked scorpions entering the cube. Sterling, "Mysty, take control of the Omega Flyer authorization Sterling Alpha 195."

As soon as the pilot sprang out of his seat grabbing his M4 and gear Mysty appeared in the seat, "Control obtained, you are clear to beam to the Cube, Good luck Alpha Team."

The 5 members of Alpha team strapped their gear down and stepped onto the transporter disappearing one after the other. Sterling stepped on last and appeared on the Borg ship as his men were checking the corridor's for drones. Sterling, "Keep com to our signal but add in feedback from Shadow Ops team’s line. If they speak I want us to hear it so we know how much time we got."

As soon as the tapped in the code to allow them to hear what Anton's team were saying they heard... Anton's voice, “Bravo Team, go dynamic.  We have engaged the enemy and they know we’re here.  Hurry up
and call back when your ready to set the timer.”  Unknown voice, “Willco.”

Sterling and his men started down the corridor, as they turned they found themselves behind a scorpion that's disrupter blasts were still hitting the drones. The Scorpion manned by Petty Officer Second Class Frank Lopez pushed through the halls heading for the primary Transwarp Coil room. Once there the scorpion turned down a side hall to allow the Marines access. As the marine team entered they found nearly a dozen drones and opened fire with M4's. Seconds later they were working on extracting all 4 Transwarp coils. All three were exposed when they heard a crash.

Alpha team's Staff Sergeant Reynolds ran to the Scorpion that he saw sitting on the ground with the hatch being opened by a drone, the Shadow Ops member inside had a piece of console in his throat. Reynolds shot the drone then opened the hatch with the proper code. Inside he attached an isolinear tag from a pocket to Lopez and he was beamed to the Mystic. With the scorpion empty Reynolds strapped in, closed the hatch and backed up preparing for their next target. Alpha team had all the Coils tagged and watched as they didn't go anywhere.

Before they could speak comms opened up again... , Bravo, “Specter, we’ve reached our objective.  We are placing the satchel and awaiting your command to set the timer.”    “Roger, Bravo.  We are almost to our objective.  Hold position.  What’s your status on ammo?”     Bravo, “Not good.  We’ve used up over half of our rounds and only have to grenades left.”    “Roger, just make it out alive.  Specter out.”

Sterling tapped his comm, "Omega Man to Omega Flyer set transporters to tag frequency the Mystic is not responding. You'll have to transfer them over from there." Seconds later the coils disappeared and the team moved out behind the scorpion again. Halfway to the Secondary Weapon Matrix the Scorpions weapon started hitting shields on the Borg.

Reynolds, "Weapons are neutral going to escape route and signaling other scorpions for retreat." Sterling saluted the man as the scorpion headed left toward a hole in the cube. Despite the massive damage to the cube and its drones somehow the ship was still very much dangerous and its drones just fighting harder. Some drones were even firing around corners showing tactical reasoning now.

Sterling's team reached the Secondary Weapons matrix as thier M4's ran out of ammo from the last clip. Sterling, "Switch to the HKMP5's and your primary blade weapon. Strip the cores, computers, and panels
bare. I want most as much of this room tagged as possible before the next wave of drones gets here."

They were just finishing tagging when the comm. broke thru again...Anton's voice,  “Bravo team, activate the timer and move to extraction.”     Bravo, “Roger.”

Sterling yelled out as he turned to see a wave of nearly 50 drones coming thru the hall toward them, "Times up men we have ten minutes. Let’s hit the Halls and find the Glory we deserve." As the Marines turned they started emptying clip after clip of ammo from their HKMP5's until they were out and holstered them. One had a Bat'leths, two others two Mek'leths, Sterling held a Wakisashi in one hand and a Kitana in
the other. As the next wave of twenty drones poured down the hall they all yelled out and charged into the fray of drones.

NINE MINUTES LATER:

The marines had made it to their extraction point safely most with gashes, chroniton burns, and broken ribs, though none were showing the pain they felt. They stood tall as the Omega Flyer beamed them up.
Sterling was the last one down when he hear through his comm, "This is Scorpion 3, Pilot Ensign Walter Williams. I am pinned down with my engines dead, I am tagging the scorpion for beam out and proceeding to
the Marine extraction point but I need assistance. Over."

Sterling hit his com, "Mysty lock onto the Scorpion and relay the beam to the Mystic's Cargo bay transporter."

Mysty, "Done, I'm beaming you twenty seconds from his location but you will only have 20 to make it back before we must go to warp otherwise I may not be able to beam you both back."

Sterling watched as his scenery changed, he checked the padd on his wrist and started running. As he neared his target he saw two drones behind a ceiling girder. Sterling leaped in the air mid run beheading the first drone and impaling the other thru the skull. As both fell he saw Williams running toward him, "Lets go, we got twenty seconds," As they ran Sterling checked his isolinear tags, all empty, "You have any tags left?"

Williams, "No we only took one each for the Scorpions, nonliving tissue setup only." As they reached the extraction point he saw Williams disappear. He looked at the timer on his padd 15…14…13…12…11..10…” Finally Mysty beamed him to the Omega Flyer and went to warp as it saw the Mystic's Engines creating a Temporal Rift between the Cube and the Planet to shield Earth from the blast. As they
entered warp Mysty hoped that her ship was right behind her as she watched the display “3…2…1…”

MYSTIC'S POV: As Shadow Ops beams inside.

Mnheia t'Llaiir
Second Officer
USS Mystic

Stardate 050511.

Back on the Bridge the male ensign at Tactical looked to t'Llaiir, "Anton will be signaling to fire soon what are your orders Sir?"

Mnheia looked back at the ensign - a blank look on her face.  Suddenly it was replaced with a look of fierce determination.

"What are my orders? Why we are to fight the Borg with all we have… we must save this ship at all costs. Ensign, scramble over to the turbo lift doors and be prepared to attack whatever comes through them. I will place myself facing the doors from the other side.  Before this battle the captain was talking about how the phaser's were ineffective because of the Borg's ability to match the frequency. That means the only really effective weapon we have is the blade weapons. Grab one and position yourself as instructed. When they come through the turbo lift doors aim for the small joints of the body…the neck, the knee, the elbow… try to make one or at the least two deadly blows to the torso."

The ensign grabbed a bladed weapon and positioned himself near the turbo lift doors and Mnheia did the same on the opposite side of the room. Mnheia glanced back at the captain and saw Mysty beam his shaking body to med lab. Knowing that she was in charge of the ship only made her more determined to save it and make the Captain proud of her.

Suddenly the turbo lift doors flew open and standing there was the Borg in all their `majesty'. Wires protruding from the head and terminating at the heart area, gray metal body suits that offered protection of some kind, large black weapons of a sort that were in their arms.

"We are the Borg…surrender is the only option."

Mnheia heard the voices get louder and louder until they were almost screaming in her head. Rising up and swinging with all her might Mnheia swung her double edged sword and aimed directly at the neck. Suddenly a Borg body went crashing down as the head rolled aimlessly across the floor. Mnheia was ecstatic - they could be killed! Unfortunately when the one Borg fell another took its place. Mnheia screamed again and another head went rolling across the floor. This kept up for what seemed like hours on end as either Mnheia or the ensign would scream and a Borg head would go rolling. Sometimes a body part like an arm or leg would fly off but soon the Borg bodies started to pile up in front of the lift.

The Borg suddenly exited the room. Mnheia looked at the ensign and the Borg bodies littering the floor. The ensign smiled…."They have retreated…we have won!" he said.

"No ensign…that was just the first part of the battle I am sure. We caught them off guard with our bladed weapons but I am sure they will adjust and be back in force. Let's take this moment of reprieve and regroup ourselves. Quickly go over to the weapons locker on the other side of the room and get all the small hand grenades you can collect. I will clear the bodies and then we must both take positions on either side of this door again for the next assault."

The ensign did as he was instructed and as Mnheia started to clear the Borg bodies she wondered how much longer they could hold out with out re-enforcements.

MYSTIC'S POV: As Shadow Ops beams inside.

Lt Col Ariss Zorran
Duty Log
50511.

“Charlie, Delta teams report!” Ariss snapped as her team, Bravo, got themselves sorted out.  Someone had tripped over something and almost set off a grenade, and now everyone was in a fluster.  Which only made Ariss more twitchy.

“Charlie reporting everything is A-Okay.  No hostiles in sight,” answered Charlie team’s leader, Sanchez.  Ariss couldn’t help but smile at Sanchez’s cheerfulness.

The original effects of the drugs she’d hit herself up with had gone, leaving her more clear-headed than she’d been over the past few weeks.  She found she could block out the emotions & thoughts of the crew with such ease after using it.

“Delta is clear.  No interaction with the enemies,” Peron, Delta’s lead, answered in his usual terse manner.

Ariss grinned. “Good.  Keep your legs closed and your eyes open,” she said in the ships marines version of ‘Keep together and watch out’.  She turned to Bravo team. “Keep it cool, boys & girls. Move out!”  They started down the corridor and made it almost all the way before Sanchez got on the comms again.

“Contact! We got ambushed, Colonel.  It waited for us to pass then it hit us from behind,” she said, voice quavering and breathless. “Tucker is down.  It hit him before we even knew it was there.  He’s in a bad way.” There was the sound of  few rounds of the HKMP5 going off “Christ, Dylan! It’s dead, save your ammo for the live ones.  Ma’am, we gotta bug out, we need to get Tucker to sickbay ASAP.”

Ariss went pale.  “Go, Sanchez, get him help! Be careful,” she answered and cut the comms.  Not even a second later they went active again.  Peron was in trouble.

“Contact! Contact! Contact!” Peron’s usually calm voice was anything but. There was the sound of firing. “We have 4..no, 5 hostiles.” The sounds of screaming and thuds as Delta team went down.

“Peron?” Ariss called over the comms.  Her hands were shaking slightly.  There was no sound except for a slight scuffle.  “Peron, answer me,” she said, voice shaking.  There was no answer. “Peron!” she yelled.  “Answer me dammit!” There was another scuffle and a slight groan, then silence, but the comms were still open. “Peron! Dammit! Answer me you bastard!” she screamed into the comms.

She got an answer, but not the one she wanted. “We are the Borg.  Resistance is futile,” it was Peron’s voice, but it was undoubtably no longer the real Peron who spoke.

“Peron! No!,” she cried out and slammed her fist into the bulkhead.  All of Delta was gone, one member of Charlie may not make it.  Her marines were dead or dieing.  These were still her men and women, and the death of anyone of them was harsh.  She turned back to Bravo.  All of them were pale-faced, they’d heard the comms too.

One of them stepped forward, tears rolling down his cheeks. “Keep it cool, Ma`am,” he said.

Ariss stared at him for a moment, and briefly thought about back-handing him, but nodded. “Keep it cool,” she repeated and took a deep breath.  She readied her weapons.  “Let’s go,” she growled.  “We have a job to do.”

They cleared their area, then went onto Charlie’s area and eventually Delta’s area.  Here they met the group of drones that had taken down Delta Team.  Here they met the man that had been Peron, the man who was now a drone.  They took them down after a while, but it was a fierce battle.  3 marines received minor injuries and even Ariss took a few stray rounds to the side and a phaser shot to the shoulder.  Never one to let an injury stop her, she kept her team going until she was certain no more drones were onboard.  Once she was sure the ship was clear, they made their way to medical.

They entered just in time to hear a death announced.  Ariss looked at Sanchez. “Tucker?” she asked.  Charlie leader shook her head. “ShadOps,” Sanchez said quietly.  The marine side of Ariss gave a sigh of relief, but the XO in her grieved for yet another of their crew being lost.

As she felt the ship go to warp, Ariss took a moment to look around.  What she saw made her jaw drop.  Tekon, unconscious in sickbay, with Mysty standing by him.  Ariss advanced on the ships AI. “Mysty,” she growled. “What the hell did you let happen to the Captain.”

Mysty backed around the other side of Tekon’s biobed away from the advancing XO.  “I didn’t do anything, Zorran, I swear I didn’t.  He had this planned in case it happened.”

“Just tell me what the hell happened!”

Mysty explained the situation to Ariss and she went from concerned, to upset, to downright angry.  She stood at the head of her CO’s biobed and leant down close. “You bloody fool,” she whispered.

“Mysty, I’ll be on the bridge.  Notify me as soon as the Captain’s condition changes, understood?” she snapped.

The AI nodded.  “But, Lt Colonel, you’re injured,” she said and pointed at the freely flowing blood at Ariss’ side.

Ariss scowled at the AI and shrugged the concern off. “It’s only a flesh wound and minor burn,” she lied and strode out, slapping a gauze over onto her side.

She entered the bridge and nodded at the newest addition to their crew.  “I’ll take command now,” she said to t`Llaiir and sat in the command chair.  “All stations report!”

"Relative Times"
Stardate:50511.27.2320

Mysty watched thru the sensor output that acted as her eyes. She watched as the Captain began to hear voices and Terminal's effort to save the Captain

Sharek, "We are the Borg. Resistance is Futile." As he said it he dropped to his knees and grabbed his head. Sharek had dropped the HKM5 on the floor as he held his head now screaming in pain.

During the next few moments Sharek transferred command.

Before another word was said Terminal X's voice came over the intercom, "Captain, you need to take a medkit and give yourself enough drug cocktail to put yourself into a comma. Once under I will use my Positronic Brain to take control and act like a firewall so they can't take control. You will still need someone to get your medicine and inject a massive quantity into your heart directly to force the implants into dormancy."

As Mysty retrieved the case of Sharek's dormancy drug, Sharek injected himself with the drugs needed to facilitate a comma.

With the drugs entering his system all went black as Mysty took an old fashion syringe from the case. She quickly filled it with a large dose of Tekon's dormancy drug for the nanites and in one quick downward motion stabbed him in the heart with it injecting the drug into his system. Sharek began to shake violently as Mysty picked him up and beamed him to a biobed in sickbay. As he beamed to sickbay Mysty's hologram reentered the holomatrix that was her mind.

Once more Mysty watched as Zorran and the Marines patrolled the ship.

“Charlie, Delta teams report!” Ariss snapped as her team, Bravo, got themselves sorted out.  Someone had tripped over something and almost set off a grenade, and now everyone was in a fluster.  Which only made
Ariss twitchier.

“Charlie reporting everything is A-Okay.  No hostiles in sight,” answered Charlie team’s leader, Sanchez. Ariss couldn’t help but smile at Sanchez’s cheerfulness.

Ariss grinned. “Good.  Keep your legs closed and your eyes open,” she said in the ships marines’ version of ‘Keep together and watch out’.  She turned to Bravo team. “Keep it cool, boys & girls. Move out!”

Then as humans would say the ball started rolling.

Anton on the Fey'ri signaled the start...
As the signal came that the Borg cube had appeared the Omega Flyer left the shuttlebay heading for the cube.

Mysty could hear what Dawn was doing like a person listening in on a communication being done in the same room.

“Dawn beam us to the coordinates inside the Borg Cube.” Anton pressed a few buttons on one of the terminals.  The transporters activated and within seconds, the team materialized inside the Borg Cube.

As the signal came that the Borg cube had appeared the Omega Flyer left the shuttlebay heading for the cube. The scorpions began to fire in sequence with the Omega Flyer and the Mystic as Mysty activated her weapons. Mysty had to take action as the Tactical Officer and the Second Officer prepared for Borg boarders.

on the Bridge the male ensign at Tactical looked to t'Llaiir, "Anton will be signaling to fire soon what are your orders Sir?"

Before this battle the captain was talking about how the phaser's were ineffective because of the Borg's ability to change in time/space and match the frequency. That means the only really effective weapon we have is the blade weapons. Grab one and position yourself as instructed. When they come through the turbo lift doors aim for the small joints of the body…the neck, the knee, the elbow… try to make one or at the least two deadly blows to the torso."

As Mysty kept firing she felt herself hit by very powerful chroniton blasts. The First took out her ability to send internal comm messages so she began to use her holograms to facilitate messages for the crew. The next blast damaged the power grid forcing Mysty to cut back to just the holograms with Ael and Tekon. The next few blasts caused damage throughout the ship and almost blinded her sensors. She quickly rerouted the circuitry thru backups and kept watching. By now Borg were inside the ship battling crewmen on all decks. Outside the scorpions had entered the cube and the marines had beamed inside.

As the battle ragged on Mysty tried to counteract every chroniton volley the Borg fired with weapons fire of her own. She was doing well at blocking the blasts creating a fireworks display. Mysty's processors were now working as quickly as possible to counteract the weapons fire as Dawn took over helping in other ship areas. By now Mysty realized their initial weapons fire must have damaged the Borgs transporters since the bodies weren't disappearing.

Suddenly she felt transporter activity beaming items and then people onto her as the scorpions entered the shuttlebay. Seconds later the Fey'ri and then the Omega Flyer went to warp as the Borg cube stopped firing.  A nanosecond after, Mysty engaged the engines taking the ship to warp. She would have gone faster but the engines were currently damaged as well.

In sickbay her hologram was distracted and didn't see Zorran till she was advancing toward her.

As the ship finally slowed down to rendezvous with the Omega Flyer Zorran was now on the bridge and Mysty's hologram was reassimilating itself into the holomatrix.

Mysty appeared on the bridge in front of Zorran. "The last couple Borg are being disposed of as we speak. I am having the bodies moved into a quarantine field in one of the Auxiliary Cargo Bays. Terminal has reported that Engineering teams will have full engines restored within the hour and the comm system will be operational in a few minutes. Sickbay is using some of the extra exam rooms as a temporary morgue and the Captain is still in a coma though Terminal has reported that the Assault on the Sharek's mind has stopped." Mysty stood there to make sure there was nothing else Zorran needed.
