Wolf
359 - Location: USS Mystic, Conference Room
As 11 bewildered Federation officers sat in the conference room looking at
consoles from beyond their century; the door opened and a 6ft 4 inch, 1/2
Romulan 1/2
Vulcan male walked in. His hair was shoulder length, his eyes were green, and he
was wearing a Starfleet uniform that appeared to be made of fibers that
were foreign to the 11 officers. As they looked at him he began to speak, "Welcome to the
USS Mystic NX-T, an Ambassador
X Class Timeship from the 25th century. I am Captain Sharek Tekon the era I am from has seen the
fall of the Romulan Empire, the temporal rescue of its people from
an exploding star, and the coming of the Romulan / Vulcan reunification, I am one of
their children.
This has given me a unique view point so there will be no hostilities on my ship or you will become the crews next meal." All
was silent as the officers were now giving this man their full attention.
As he spoke again his tone was less harsh and now had a gentle ring to it, "You have been chosen due to circumstances beyond your control, to become a part of this fine ship and crew. All of you have a good idea of what was about to happen to you had we not saved you. So you can choose: stay here with us and welcome your new life, while saying goodbye to your old; or we can place you back where we found you." As the officers listened to his words one crewman spoke up, "You wouldn't send us back, if the Borg got us they would know about you and that would endanger your crew."
The captain smiled wickedly and replied very simply, "You're right. I guess I'll just have to kill you instead." The officers seemed
to be regarding the captain very seriously now as the sarcastic
crewman sank in his chair.
Finally to ease the tension the Captain spoke softly in a polite tone of voice, "Before you decide, there is a padd in front of you that details what this ship and crew have been through so far and why we need your help. In the end, should you decide to stay you will be given quarters, clothing, daily necessities, and a preliminary education in how to use the technology on this ship. Now please read the padd before you and find out the story so far." As the officers read their padds Sharek left to find a couple volunteers to show them around. When he returned all padds were down and they were lined up at attention, saluting Sharek as he entered. "At ease, these crewmen behind me will help with your orientation..."
Sharek left for the bridge, and sat down, "If thats all we can save here then prepare the Temporal Engine to phase us to our call back time in the First century."
