Troop 50, based in San Anselmo, is sponsoring a summer scout wind surfing class. The class is available to scouts throughout the Bay Area, as well as family members, and non-scout friends that are at least 11 years old, and weigh at least 100 pounds. The class includes all the equipment you will need, as well as insurance coverage and two days of basic instruction that will introduce you to the basics, and get you on the water and going. Since wind surfing is a popular sport, if your Scout likes the class, he can move on in the sport with minimal cost because high quality used equipment is readily available.
