He maintains and ensures the safety of the Starbase and the surrounding sectors while working closely with the Tactical and Security Departments. 

He is in charge of tactical movements of Marine troops and is an advisor to the Commodore and the Marine CO on almost every aspect of the Starbase's security and safety.
