Medical (brief): In mid-2378, Shanti Harold suffered an array of traumatic injuries.  The cause is currently classified, however, the result is clear.  Harold's facial bones were shattered, and it was miracle that she lived.  Through the work of two incredible surgeons, the captain's face was reconstructed, however the damage to her right eye was irreversible.  Harold was issued a pair of prescription glasses, with a corrective lens for the right eye, and a glass pane for the left.

Coincidentally, Harold is allergic to Retinox V.  Luckily, Starfleet has developed the ability to suppress some allergic reactions, however Retinox V would not repair the damage done to Harold's vision.

Harold has developed tolerances for certain pain-killers.  Thus doctors are forced to use the maximum safe dosages, and in many cases, the dosage is too small.  Subsequently, Harold has been forced to build a tolerance to pain (or rather, has learned not to scream).

Lieutenant C.J. Christensen, Stardate 56813.9: Captain Shanti Harold is transferred to Starbase Ten, as Commanding Officer.  Captain Harold remains attached to Special Operations, and is on stand-by should Special Operations require her for assignments.

Lieutenant C.J. Christensen, Stardate 56904.3: Captain Harold is abducted by infamous Akiran terrorist, Dena Sull.

Ensign James Gregory, Stardate 56983.8: Captain Harold has been rescued, and terrorist base, Fekna III is destroyed, with all inhabitants captured or killed.  Dena Sull is taken to Starbase Ten where she will be transferred to the Romulan government.

Commander Taylor WhiteEagle, stardate 56983.8: The captain has suffered extensive injuries; her right femur is broken in five places, and there was bruising on her kidneys, liver, and stomach wall.  There was also some minor internal bleeding, which has been assuaged and is healing nicely.  I have reset the femur bone, and it appears that the cement is holding well.  It will take time for the bone to completely heal; a months time at most

Commander Taylor WhiteEagle, stardate 56994.83: I have released the captain, though I fear it is against my better judgment.  She has been given a cane, and strict orders to take it easy for the next week.

Commander Taylor WhiteEagle, stardate 56994.83 supplemental: The captain, as I feared, has been returned to sickbay.  The injury to her right leg has been complicated by additional injury.  I have surgically reattached several ligaments and tendons, which were supposedly injured by a simple bad twist to the knee.  She is currently under sedation.
