ID OT1. A pretty, solidly-constructed, Victorian period tobacco tin originally goldplated. The edges and the lid top are embellished with engraved fronds and flowers. The underside is plain. No markings to suggest country or manufacturer. Completely intact - no cracks other than a small one (about 0.3 inch) towards the edge of the lid at the corner - no significant scratches or dents. Inside the goldplate is 100% extant - exteriorly much has worn away except at the ends - however, the underlying nickelsilver takes on a good polish. The hinge works and the tin closes tightly. Length: 5.0; width: 2.7; depth 1.2 inches.
