Base Damage Crushing - Base damage of 5 (Such as a punch or hit with a spanner)
Piercing - Base damage of 10 (Such as a projectile weapon or stabbing with a knife)
Cutting - Base Damage of 8 (A cutting action with a blade or energy weapon)
Energy - Base Damage of 12 (A energy discharge of any kind)
Modifiers Skill superiority +10 +20 +30 +40 +50 (If a attacker has a commendation then there is a plus 10 damage for every level. For instance a fighter with a Level 4 commendation will add 40 damage to the base damage.
Post Quality -10 - +20 Depending on the quality of the post more or less damage will be added. For instance a post of 'Quandi thumped Genna hard' Will score you a penalty of minus 10 damage.
Race -10 - +10 Simple one, A klingon will deal more damage in combat then a Bynar. There are extremes, a weaker race will deal less damage a Mighty race will cause more.
Example Heres an example of the system in use.
Forest punches Vento squarley in the jaw.
Now thats a base damage of 5, Forest has a commendation in security so +10 damage, the post was too short and not very good -5 Damage, both are human, no added damage, so Vento sustains 10 damage. |
