  • Looks: James has an easy going, infectious smile that seems to always be present. He keeps himself in good physical condition by working out in group activities(he enjoys sports and partakes as frequently as he can) and by a holoprogram designed by him to help hone his martial arts. He keeps his hair cut fairly short, in the typical Starfleet style, although it seems as if his hair is constantly wind blown.

  • Talents: Has a knack for faces, just can't always remember the names.
  • Ambitions: Command an untested starship, have a flight manuver named for him.
  • Likes: Talking to people, simply to learn more about them. Trying new and variable foods (complete with any heartburn or other gastro-intestinal difficulties that ensue). Music and dancing, although he still tends to have the rythym of a stone at times until he gets used to the beat and movements.
  • Strengths: Calm and collected under pressure, lends a relaxing atmoshpere in even the most tense situation. Good mental, physical and emotional stability.
  • Dislikes: Those that would recklessly endanger others for no reason beyond selfish pleasure. Liars and those that mislead others.
  • Weaknesses: Tends not to take things too seriously at first. Can be easily led to lose his temper by attacking others to antagonize him.
  • Has a slight drawl when he's talking. Tends to raise his right eyebrow like Captain Spock when something interests him.
  • Hobbies: Sports, reading 20th century literature and history, writing.
  • Personality: Outgoing and personable. He enjoys talking and joking with others. Makes friends easily, acting as mediator when disputes arise between friends. Is loyal and supportive of those he cares for, going out of his way to assist them when needed.

    		• EARLY LIFE

  • Personal History:
    Born as the oldest, he was raised into the doctrines of Starfleet. His parents filled him and his siblings with the pride, honor and heiritage of the Federation. Upon reaching the age for advanced schooling, James decided to attend the North American College rather than opt directly into Starfleet. Thinking this would better help him to understand not only himself but where in life he would fit in. After graduation and earning his degree in Starship Architecture, he attended Starfleet Academy under the study of Helmsman.

  • Education: Standard Terran primary and secondary schooling, North American College, Starfleet Academy
  • Educational History: James worked his way through school with some effort. He was more interested in the practical applications of the knowledge rather than the implied applications, much to the consternation of both his instructors as well as parents. Graduated towards the latter end of his class, but still excelled at his overall training.

    SERVICE HISTORY

  • Cadet Cruise: 2378-2379 - USS Ticonderoga
  • USS Baton Rouge: 2379-2380 - CONN Officer
  • Tours of Duty: Upon graduation James was assigned to the USS Baton Rouge, where he was placed as the gamma shift CONN officer. During this tenure he was commended for his quick thinking and decisive actions at the helm during a brief but violent skirmish with a pair of Breen vessels. He was later promoted to the rank of Lt(JG) and offered the Relief CONN officer position on the USS Southern Cross which he gratefully accepted. Upon the Captain's death, Jim was given the Chief CONN position.
