  • Height: 5'11" (1.80m)
  • Weight: 161lbs. (73.2kg)
  • Eye Color: Light Green
  • Hair Color: Auburn Red
  • Hair Style: Long and straight, cut at his jawline. He usually wears it parted down the middle and pushed behind his ears.
  • Physique: Tall and slender, with a swimmer's build.
  • Distinguishing Marks: Light freckles across the bridge of his nose and cheekbones.
  • Looks: Mac is a young, funloving officer with little Command ambition. He would be entirely happy working on the engine of a Starship for the rest of his life. He prefers the vest variant of the standard uniform, as it allows freer movement when repairing systems - a must in crunch times. He carries himself confidently but relaxed at the same time, and is quick to smile. He usually has a half-smile on his face as if he were enjoying some private joke. He is a rather animated person, enjoying the attention recieved when performing in front of others. However, his fun and impish side has run him into trouble on several occasions, as he is a dedicated practical-joker.

  • CHARACTER TRAITS

  • Talents: Has a keen understanding of mechanical systems. Is a performer at heart, good at acting and singing. Able to juggle several different tasks at once in order to achieve the desired objective.
  • Ambitions: He has little Command ambition of his own, outside of perhaps commanding a ship for the Starfleet Corps of Engineers. He would be perfectly fine being headfirst into a conduit, repairing damaged EPS taps, for the rest of his career.
  • Likes: Raktajino, anything chocolate, pasta, Lager from his hometown of Killarney, corned beef and cabbage, practical jokes, daredevil stunts.
  • Dislikes: Condescending/rude people, teas, shellfish, nuts, being called "sir".
  • Strengths: Multitasking abilities, empathetic, an unorthodox method of "getting things to work", forms fast relationships with his fellow crewmembers.
  • Weaknesses: He is sometimes impulsive, especially when interacting with others. Dislikes being limited. Sometimes speaks before thinking (most notably before more senior officers), and is often passionate about his opinions - but at the wrong times.
  • Quirks: Sometimes slips back into his Irish brogue when speaking, most often when frustrated, upset, or with family or other Irish. Taps his fingers on the nearest surface when in deep thought. Personifies the ships he serves on, often speaking to them directly as if in conversation.
  • Hobbies: Skydiving, bungee jumping, Parrises Squares, other daredevil activities, acting, singing, skiing, Rube Goldberg-esque and other odd machines, racquetball, suspense thriller novels and holonovels.
  • Personality: He is a generally extroverted, funloving guy that sees the day as successful if he gets at least one person to laugh. A very relaxed person, he prefers to interact with others on a first-name basis, even with subordinates. He works until all of the tasks he has have been completed, even if it means pulling double- and triple-shifts. Very outspoken, he has gotten reprimands before for openly challenging Captains and Admirals whom he feels are making unwise decisions. However, after he has said his piece, he will usually buckle down and do as ordered, but not without some annoyed venting. He also has a weakness for pulling practical jokes, though usually harmless, and will go quite far for a laugh. However, he usually tries to get the subject of his joking to join in the laughter. Off-duty, he is pretty much stuck at twenty-one, loving life and having fun. Yet on-duty, he is dedicated to his work, and values working relationships between crewmembers, and usually doesn't care how a task is completed, as long as it is finished to the best of one's abilities.

  • HISTORY

  • Personal History: Mac was born in Killarney, Ireland, as the third of four children. He grew up in a relatively stable household, attending school while his mother worked as a nurse at the local clinic and his father transported to Dublin for his job. It was really his father that cultivated his interests in mechanics, when the two built a ground-speeder from scratch when the boy was only six. When he was nine, the family moved to Dublin, where Siobhan's parents lived. Her father had taken ill, and she wanted to be able to care for him. Despite her efforts, he passed away shortly after. Her mother, hating to be alone, asked that the family move into her large townhome, which they promptly did. Mac completed secondary school in Dublin in the top twenty-fifth percent of his class, as he often neglected his studies in favor of more fun activities. During school, in his spare time he could often be found at the Spaceport with his brother, both helping their father in his work. Later, both entered Starfleet Academy as Engineering majors, a passion that both shared.
  • Education: St. Mary's High School, Dublin. Starfleet Academy, with a Propulsion specialty.
  • Service Record: Cadet cruise aboard the USS Al-Batani as an engineer, before being posted as an Ensign to the USS Enterprise-D under Commander LaForge. When the Enterprise was destroyed on Veridian III, he transferred to the USS Kyoto as Propulsion Specialist. When the Dominion attacked Federation space, the Kyoto was one of the first ships to engage the Jem'Hadar ships. The Kyoto was boarded, and when the Chief and Asst. Chief Engineer were killed, he stepped up to the plate and was able to keep the Jem'Hadar from taking over the ship's systems long enough for the remaining crew to escape. Although the Kyoto was lost in the battle, he and three fellow engineers were promoted for their efforts. After his promotion to Lt. JG, he requested and was granted a transfer to the USS Sedona, where his brother served as XO. He felt that after all of the destruction he had seen, it would be good to be near family. When the Sedona returned from her four-year mission, charting the outer rim of the Alpha Quadrant, Michael was given command of the ship with the promotion of her Captain to Commodore, and Mac was promoted to Full Lieutenant and given the opportunity to serve as Chief Engineer aboard the under-construction USS Southern Cross - an offer he could not refuse.
