CHARACTER TRAITS
Talents: Excellent eyesight, hearing and night vision; extremely dexterous, agile and fast. Has good stamina and a good jumping ability. Is well trained in hand-to-hand combat, keen on weapon development. Is very understanding and friendly.
Ambitions: To perform his duty in the best way possible.
Likes: Although most Caitians have grown to be omnivorous, K’trak prefers meat. He likes to try out several off-world dishes. He enjoys Rakun, a personal combat style, similar to Terran fencing. It involves a pair of twin, rapier-like swords, called Rak’grn and a small dagger, called Raksir. Enjoys Terran classical music and likes to hunt.
Dislikes: Doesn’t like people who lack a sense of loyalty, duty and honor. Untrustworthy species, like the Ferengi and Romulans. Although he has good hand-to-hand combat capabilities, he – like most Caitians – is pacifistic by nature and only uses them as a last resort. Although he can swim, he doesn’t like water.
Weaknesses: A bit overly protective and sentimental at some times, though he seldom shows it. Works comes first, which means his personal relationships tend to be neglected. Sometimes acts too quickly.
Quirks: Starts snarling when he feels annoyed or angry, which can be somewhat frightening for people who are unfamiliar to him. Likes to go Winthar (resembles a Terran dinosaur called Struthiomimus) riding on the holodeck (or for real if he gets the chance).
Hobbies: Climbing; running; playing chess; loves to read and listens to (mostly) classical music
Personality: Is a kind, friendly yet very serious person. Tries to believe people have a good nature, although when you take advantage of him, it’s hard for him to forgive you. Is extremely loyal and altruistic. His bondsmate was killed when K’trak was only 18 years, during a Nausicaan pirate raid on a Caitian outpost. He had, and still has, a hard time dealing with that and he struggles with his religion. The Caitian religion involves their deity, Rrikalla, who controls all life in the universe. The first letter of a Caitian name is indicative of the name’s bearer and little kits receive their name when they’re about one year old. The letter K stands for a person who is protective and has a hunter’s instinct. That description suits K’trak perfectly.
