    PERSONAL HISTORY
    Etenia was born on the frontier colony of Aadesh, near the DMZ. Her family was affectionate and warm. However, life on a colony world was harsh and Etenia grew to be very independent fast. She always was strong-willed and knew what she wanted.
    Her family is part of a sect whose ancient roots date back to the Native American cultures of Earth. Etenia is very religious and proud of her traditions.
    Etenia, in her lust for adventure, decided to leave her home planet and join Starfleet. She fell in love with flying, which helped fulfill her need for excitement. She decided to become a CONN officer.
    When Etenia attended Starfleet Academy, she met a young trill named Baeliyol Prel, who she met in 1st year training exercises. Bailey and Etenia had a short-lived, but passionate relationship. The two remained friends after they parted ways. Etenia considers Bailey one of her closest friends.
    Etenia was in trouble even before she arrived at the Academy. She was a colonist with a proud, prickly, defensive arrogance, who went by a single name and refused to record any other. She also was brought up on charges for wearing the feather in her hair as being out of uniform and disobeying a superior officer. She was acquitted however on the basis of freedom of religion. Though she often could have got away with it, she never requested religious exemption for her other non-conforming behavior. She succeeded in acting as she thought right, and as she wished, through a combination of fast moves, of giving not a damn about demerits, and of pure, solid, unimpeachable excellence in her performance.
    Upon graduation, she was assigned as a CONN officer to a border patrol squadron, aboard the USS Hunter. She quickly progressed through the ranks, even though at times she was brought to task for her unorthodox ways. Most recently, she was promoted to Lt. Cdr. and transferred to the USS Southern Cross as its Chief CONN Officer.

    Etenia is in good physical health for a woman of her age and species makeup.
    Psychologically, Etenia is a very determined and talented woman. She is confident in her abilities and dedicated to her work. She is usually very friendly and has a dry sense of humor. She is able to stay calm and rational in emergencies.
    On the negative side, Etenia can be impatient and hot-tempered. She is very proud and dislikes any insults to her or her background. She is also a bit of a rebel – she likes doing things her way and does not care for the consequences.
