The bridge of the USS Southern Cross is not a serious divertion from fairly standard Starfleet designs from the 2360's and 2370's. It has a central command chair for the Captain, a forward Flight Control and a rear Main Ship Display that doubles as Engineering and Environmental. The right door (from the Captain's perspective) allows one to enter Turbolift One, to access the rest of the ship. The left door opens into a small hallway with a turbolift and access to the Captain's Readyroom and Conference Lounge. Starfleet Engineers focused on making the bridge open and spacious because of the relatively small size of the Southern Cross herself. The color scheme is also meant to create space- being comparatively brightly-light and with a primarily bluish motif.
