SIREN SONG Sea Scouting

The Siren Song consists of young women crew members 14 to 17 years of age, junior officers 18 to 20 years of age, and adult leaders 21+ years of age.

Our Sponsors

One sponsor is the VFW of Stockton. They are based at the Stockton Civic Auditorium. Other sponsors include the Oxbow Marina and Stockton Youth Activities, Inc.

We often cruise aboard the 180 foot Sea Scout Ship Reliance out of the Port of Stockton, but we have our own boat too! We got this 26 foot fiberglass motor surfboat from Stockton Youth Activities, Inc. It was a bit banged up when we got it, but the Reliance crew helped us to get it running.

Training

We learn mostly nautical skills right out of the Sea Scouting Manual, but we also get a lot of hands on traing from the many cruises and other events that we participate in.
