This is the ship used by what the Borg call Species 8472. These vessels are extremely powerful, a few blasts can destroy a Borg Cube and though they have no shields the ship repairs itself so quickly conventional weapons have no effect on them. The only weapon that does effect these terrifyingly powerful craft are Nano-Torpedoes. These are photon torpedoes filled with modified Borg nano-probes which attack and destroy the craft at a cellular level. Each craft is genetically created in 8472's home universe, known as fluidic space, as a result of the ships being organic every vessel has slight differences just like humans. One 8472 vessel might have a slightly more powerful weapon, or be less effected by nano-probes, or be slightly larger, the list is endless. However in general these vessels are quite small, manoeuvrable and due to our lack of knowledge of how they perceive us, should be considered a vessel to be wary off.
