Smithfield Riverfront
The town of Smithfield added a paved trail in 2001 along a portion of the Neuse River. It's a great place to ride bicycles, but the trail is kind of short. Both pictures are looking downstream along the Neuse River. The Business U.S. 70 bridge is visible in the distance.
Some utilty construction closed the trail in late 2003, but it is reopened again.
