My brother Brian showed us around First Landing Park. He lives in nearby Chesapeake, VA. Here he is with the map..

Here Theresa takes the lead. The first park of the trail is paved, then there's a gravel portion, and finally a sandy section along the shore.

This is where the trail crosses a road, then goes onto a boardwalk through a swampy area.

The trail ends at a brackish, wide creek. There's a salt marsh, and a small beach. Several boaters frequent this area.

When this picture was taken of me, I was hot and tired from the bike ride. The trail has some tough sandy sections.
