This is a close-up picture of the springs. The ledge visible in the water is about 4 feet (1 meter) under water. Just beyond that is a large drop-off to the underwater cave that the springs flow out of. I've never seen such clear water.

Some people swimming at Manatee Springs. The water stays close to a constant temperature, so in winter, Manatees come from the Suwannee River to the spring to stay warm.
