CH'TAALA, L'NHRAEI (20 August 2503): Chancellor Joshua Underwood is on L'nhraei meeting with high Commonwealth officials to decide the fate of the traitorous Reydovan Council of Chancellors, arrested for theft of Commonwealth property, attempted mass murder, and treason.
"The Council of Chancellors lived in the past, not the future," Underwood said in a press conference with the L'nhraei News Network yesterday. "They could not live with the fact that we are not part of a larger nation, a greater nation, founded by people who protested against the evils of the universe, not by people who worshipped them."
The Council of Chancellors was arrested onboard the hijacked battlecruiser Atrus in the Korolev Nebula, on the border between Reydovan space and the Commonwealth's main territories. The ship was wired with enough explosives to incinerate every living thing on L'nhraei, but the hijacked battlecruiser was stopped by Chancellor Underwood onboard the new battlecruiser Stryker. The Atrus was sent back to Reydovan Prime, where the bombs were defused and the ship was placed back in the Reydovan Museum of History. The Stryker, with the imprisoned Council of Chancellors, set a course for L'nhraei, where it has been for four days.
Chancellor Underwood, who has announced his candidacy for Commonwealth President, is expected to testify against the Council of Chancellors, including Maximillian Lucius of Occult and James Heffner of Tiberius. Because the plaintiff in this case is the entire planet of L'nhraei, the trial will be held on either Tiw or Freya in the I'riuu system, according to Ambassador Natasha Stuart, the Commonwealth government's attache to the Reydovan Chancellery.
Underwood will return from L'nhraei within the next month and a half.
