Good evening. This is Jeremy Armarndis for Reydovan News Network, with a special report. The news was just sent to us at about 12:30 this morning - Chancellor Joshua Underwood has been shot.
The chancellor was visiting the site of Castle Devaneaux, the old fortress that an ancestor and his father battled one another for control of, on Belle Terre. We'll go to Vasily Borodin, Underwood's top aide, who's outside the hospital in Eau Claire. Vasily?

Apparently, an Imperial sniper - using an old 21st century sniper rifle stolen from the Museum of Earth Weapons and Technology in Eau Claire - was on one of the towers closest to the gate and fired three shots into the chancellor at about 7:20pm. One hit him in the lower back, one into his right shoulder, and the other through his right lung. The chancellor, because of his incredibly advanced age (he will be 515 in less than five months), is healing very slowly, despite the genetic engineering he received as a child. Chancellor Underwood is in critical condition and is not expected to live, though doctors are doing what they can to save the chancellor before he dies. Back to you.
